Full List Of 2011 Bilderberg Conference Attendees
Many have asked for it, so here it is: the full list of gentlemen (and ladies) attending this year's Bilderberg conference. Some wonder if like in previous years, when following the group's 2009 and 2010 meetings in Greece and Spain, the host countries have subsequently had to deal with some sad episodes of sovereign insolvency, if 2011 host Switzerland, despite its ironclad Swiss National Bank (except for all those dollars on the balance sheet of course) may be next...

Warburg, Rothschild.
Royal houses of Windsor and of Oranje-Nassau.
those are the obvious ones.
And the infamous City of London, behind whose mayor, the Queen walks.
Telling, eh?
Dr. Freud! Calling Dr. Freud!
He wouldn't be concerned with that, his head in the Egyptian sand.
But that is symbolic of the City of London (the king makers, running both religion, politics and finance) being ahead of the Queen, its not that the current Mayor is higher in the hierarchy, IMO.
BP is Rotheschilde
"How dare you" mention our patriotic ex-president in such a negative light. Next you're going to accuse him of selling military secrets to the Chinese in 1996 in exchange for campaign cash. I say again, how dare you!
Tuco Benedcito Pacifico Juan Maria Ramirez
Off topic, sorry, but does anyone hear anything about the empire state rebellion thing or did it fizzle?
14 june you are expected to attend. Without your skis but with your ski poles!
Damn, why hasn't my invite showed up in the mail yet? Hillary and I have some unresolved sexual tension to work out.
Whoa, no visuals like that on a friday. Bad dog...
Now I feel better, knowing there wasn't any collusion going on...
It really is enough to make you gag. As a news item it fits into a paradigm that's working for me these days; you can anounce anything you want; no-one is paying attention, no one will analyze the anouncement; no one will notice; what a superb tool for enforcement of policy is the office of AG for Antitrust; one phone call can convinvince the CEO, "they didn't really want to do that"; and it will remain unknown to the public. "Scientific Dictatorship"; how charming.
LOL, exactly the point I was thinking about noting. The irony is so rich, you can spread it on toast.
$18 Trillion divided by 3 years ='s $6 Trillion in New Supply is Printed a Year!

Big Question @ the meeting this year is..
Where is the $100 Trillion from Davos? did we spend that already?
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financetopics/davos/8267768/World-needs-100-trillion-more-credit-says-World-Economic-Forum.html
JW,
they're so punch drunk with cash from the last few years, they wouldn't recognize a few T missing.
Our silver heist continues.
The list is pretty lightweight this year. Looks like they are just pressing out the wrinkles.
If Al Queda was really a terrorist organization, they would hit this. Funny, this never makes their list of targets...
Sean,
No CEO from Groupon nor Zynga. Lightweight list indeed.
Correct, the CIA woudn't think of blowing up their bosses.
Tuco
No Soros? And BTW, do you think this American attendee is there to make sure the internet is kept open, free uncensored, and unregulated?????
Alexander, Keith B., Commander, USCYBERCOM; Director, National Security Agency
Linkdin, Google, Amazon, Microsoft all represented.
All of your Internets belong to us...
p.s. don't do it now, but won't buy anything on Amazon anytime soon...
And Facebook too...
Bill "stealth vaccine" Gates just bought Skype, that's now a no-go area, sigh.
The Internet is now the interface with them.
one brief spark of light for mankind, an eternity of bankster rule
the only reason for them to be doing this is for thinning the herd
oh shit, ZH is the honeypot!
I disagree, but only as long as you know they are watching, you buy what you want them to see.
And for my money, that's just begging for a little Bleacher Levity.
You are who you say you are. You even put up a pic....
Georgie's on the other team, see doom's comment for who runs this one.
It has the makings of a Good Bond film , however I would like to see more of Diana Rigg rather then Peter Sutherland .
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILf_aHUm1ew
The Irish crew are the most despicable Irishmen I know of and if that is a litmus test for the rest of them then its not very encouraging.
I wonder what their secret name is SMERSH, THRUSH or is it CONTROL
I'd rather see more of almost anyone than Peter Sutherland; I like the way you think.
Yes, PeePee Sutherland does look like Blofeld.
Not all. Kissenger and Rockefeller are pretty high ranking in the oligarchy, and I would guess have some autonomy. I wish I had a complete list of the leadership to post, maybe Tyler would have more luck finding out. There is purposely alot of misinformation out there about the true structure of the oligarchy. That's one of the ways they get away with so much evil. The right people never take the blame and recieve justice.
Just cross reference the membership lists of the following:
Group of Thirty
Peterson Institute
Trilateral Commission
Bretton Woods Committee
Council on Foreign Relations (senior 100)
Economy? Banks? Wars?
Tut! Tut!
All focus on Weinergate and the Palin emails! Don't look over the white wall! Don't make eye contact with the guards! Nothing to see here, move along! Hope and change right around the corner! Move along!
Blo n' Skank
Maybe a wayward tomohawk?
Zuckerberg also attended. For a meeting that advertises itself as "one in which the wealthy gather to just chit chat" I wonder why it is necessary to manhandle and arrest politicians from EU nations for attempting entrance. Security would not be this tight if there were not a reason.
http://fromthetrenchesworldreport.com/more-going-on-at-bilderberg-meetin...
Perhaps one could gauge his true importance to the power play if a check of the attendees during the late 90s were possible; new economy, after IPO not powerbroker much ?
Interesting. And for fun:

Bezos, Warsh, Rubin and Altman..
Who is Altman?? Well he is the owner of the National Enquirer and one of the Wall Street elites. If you remember during Fin Reg there was a story for 1 day and one day only about allegations of Pres. Obama and Vera Baker having an affair during his Senate campaign. It was only reported by the National Enquirer along with rumors of "Alleged Video proving a dalliance occurred"
As soon as Pres. Obama went to bed on Glass-Steagall and kept quiet in the rest of the process the story literaly disappeared the next day. Also in return for his slience wouldnt you know that Altman was considered to replace Summer last year. It all goes straight to the top folks..A self annointed monarchy of the Wall Street cartel.
http://www.tnr.com/blog/jonathan-cohn/79231/altman-may-succeed-summers-r...
"Who is Altman??"
Altman was an Obama advisor during his presidential campaign.
Also, former Blackstone Group guy (Blackstone Group, for many years the number one private bank, perhaps still is, was originally co-founded by Davy Rockefeller's boy, Peter G. Peterson, and bankrolled by Rocky).
Altman also had a lobbyist group which supplied the assistant chief of staff to Obama, and was partnered with a neocon lobbyist group which had been involved with the inteference of that Florida vote recount in 2000.
Gee whiz, it is a small world after all!
What are the odds...such brilliant people in one small place I supposed we should count ourselves lucky. So I guess the question really is...
Why would someone so close to Pres. Obama permit a story linking him to Vera Baker to be run in his publication? I think we know the answer to that. Luckily the American Idolites have no idea.
control of public perception; scientific dictatorship. Is it alright if I go throw up for awhile; I'm not feeling very well.
The same National Enquirer that decided to smear John Edwards?
While it may be a coincidence if so, they would have something to gain by ending his career.
Peter R. Orszag, Vice Chairman, Citigroup Global Markets, Inc.
(whilst in his position in the White House Dr. Orzag had no say whatsoever and was not party to any meetings that had anything to do with the bailout of Citi - right?) of course a guy does have to feed the family
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29415050/
Prior to joining the Obama administration, Orszag was at Robert Rubin's Hamilton Project at Brookings.
That's the project which is hellbent on privatizing everything! (That translates to the monopoly of everything!)
No wonder Barry hired him.
interesting that Charlie Rose is there (again)...and yet despite all of his journalistic "cache"...he's never once (to my knowledge) so much as mentioned the name Bilderberg on his or any other program.
Although Charlie has had a bunch of the Bilderberg boys on as his guests, most recently Henry Kissinger, Peter Thiel, Billybob Gates....
yes he's had Peace Prize Henry on the show several times. by the way...speaking of Kissinger...if you've never seen "The Trials of Henry Kissinger"...here's the full thing on youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Lq2tlV61WY
it's pretty damn good...if your into docs about nobel peace prize winning war criminals...which I am.
thanks. Henry sure is a piece...of many things
That's that only people Charlie Rose has on his program-- the global elites talking their book.
Geee, I can't imagine why they wouldn't want to meet in Greece or Spain again.
Also keep in mind they usually randomly choose to met in America during the Pres. election years. The biggest "go to sleep mainstream" ever was the disappearance of Pres. Obama and Clinton during the Bilderberg meeting while both were running for President. Only if the media is 100% complicit because they play part in these meetings could this take place without so much as a whimper out of the news. Yet look to todays headlines and see that Selena Gomez was sick to find out why they create what they deem necessary and pertinent for you us to digest. They think we are simpletons.
The sides both lied to the media so they could attend where a deal was made for Hillary to become Sec of State and step down so Obama could run unimpeded.
Conveniently 4 days after the secret Bilderberg meeting Hillary stepped down. These people are trying to run a world government,
Dude, the world gov't is a done deal (WTO), they're chief concern is the One World Corporation which owns everything!
They're not trying to run a world government.
They, ARE, successfully running a world government.
Some of us might not want to acknowledge that fact, but the world government has been in place for decades.
Some might even suggest it goes back centuries to the Roman Empire.
They may be doing a "shitty" job in some people's opinions, but from their perspective, they're right on track with their agenda.
+1 Unfortunately you are correct.
Yes, very close to the truth. Satan inside. The world government IS Lucifer, an emergent collective consciousness of the financial system and its oligarchs, and he is at least as old as Rome. That's where Lucifer learned the first rule of being a parasite: Don't kill the host. But Lucifer fully intends to kill America (while making a sweet profit, of course). That's why we are being clusterfucked from all directions, and why every policy ends up benefiting parasites and sociopaths, who are all neurons in Lucifer's brain. Most of our leaders did not know they were channeling Lucifer but none of them were incompetent, not even Bush- look at everything that he achieved!
Lucifer is skullfucking America because we have interfered with his dreams of world domination multiple times, most recently by creating the Internet. The Internet is also an emergent mind, and it is the only imminent threat to Luciferian dominance. Hence the attempt to co-opt the wealthy gatekeepers of the Internet. When this fails, we will have a false flag cyberattack and an attempt at total lockdown. I am guessing this will happen within a year, because the CIA now has its eye on Bitcoin. Lucifer now knows the Internet is going for his jugular.
Ultimately I think the Internet will win, we will take it to the stars and it will become a key part of a giant cosmic consciousness which will create entire universes (perhaps including our own). Basically, we will end up creating God. This scares Lucifer shitless, and explains why the oligarchs killed the space program and SETI. That and the dread of Space Wild West.
If you doubt that humans are the highest-level minds on this planet, look at the distinct "personalities" of the Net and Lucifer. You can trace their influences in the world by knowing what each one likes:
Freedom vs. control. Sharing information vs. secrecy. Truth vs. lies and false assumptions. Empowering the individual vs. empowering governments, large corporations, and bureaucracies. Free market vs. central planning. Lulz vs. no lulz. Inherent value vs. perceived value. Objective reality vs. perception as reality. Treating the disease vs. treating the symptom. Creativity vs. conformity. Motivation with curiosity vs. motivation with greed, powerlust, or a thug's gun hidden under a stack of incomprehensible papers. Alturistim vs. sociopathy. Production vs. parasitism. Status from your talents vs. status from what (or who) you can buy. Bringing your soul to life vs. crushing it. A life of meaning vs. a life of mind-rotting TV and meaningless consumer crap. An interconnedted community vs. a society where all the little people are isolated in prisons they cannot see. Science vs. stasis. Uniting us vs. dividing us against each other and exploiting the crisis to consolidate power. The individual good as the public good vs. "Think of the children!" as a means to public evil. Perhaps most importantly, the Net sees most humans as partners in creating its mind, whereas Lucifer sees most humans as hosts.Veeeeeeery interesting take.
ORI
Take out the bible references and it's a superb analysis. Very well thought-out chronicle of the information age.
That's what happens when you let Jews in your country. They infiltrate and take take take.
"let Jews in your country" ?
Oh! ... much worse to "let Jews in your country" than a torrent of Muslims?
Oh! ... I do think the Jews have been in “your country” for a millennia.
Funny you should mention that:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJuaTIZdUKc
You have the mind of a child.
Not Jews, Illuminati. But you are correct we are letting them. We need everyone to understand the oligarchy and act against them.
Be reasonable! Israel only wants the land tangential to that which they already own. Seems reasonable. Right!?
Let's just move the U. S. capital to Tel Aviv and make it official!
Tuco Benedicto Pacifico Juan Maria Ramirez
-David Rockefeller
Wonder if they will all show?
According to a letter on the Bilderberg conference addressed to Simonetta Sommaruga, a National Council member and head of the Jura Police Department, Jura representative Dominique Baettig is calling for the arrest of conference participants who are internationally wanted for war crimes (George W. Bush, Henry Kissinger, Dick Cheney, and Richard Perle). Based on the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, such action is called for when a country makes a referral or response to an initiative by the U.N. Security Council, or by its own prosecuting authority.
http://worldmeets.us/ http://worldmeets.us/suedostschweiz000001.shtml#ixzz1Ouj3TYopFirst off, governments are not on the same level of authority as these people. The meetings are secured by the CIA and they are not in a diplomatic mood. Nice try for a little people press. Too bad no one pays attention...
Funny how it’s only individual Americans guilty of War crimes ... a lot of countries have been shooting up places like Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, and a dozen African nations where ten times as many people have died from genocidal evil
nobody kills like the americans these last decades...first Vietnam then Iraq...don't feel jealous if others have joined in recently...
American envy is not a recent development.
How about five million in the Republic of the Congo? How about Serbian geneocide, or Turkish, or Russian. If you want to write history, you may want objectivity as an ally and not ideology.
Well you are right about the civil wars in Africa. But they were all organised by corporate plays around RM in Congo, Nigeria, Angola, Rwanda etc. First amongst these multinational nations are the USA, main interest in "dogs of war" and "blood diamond" scenarios. If you saw the film "the Company" you would remember those bell chimes in Leopoldville in 1961...when the CIA liquidated Lumumba. As for the Yugo tragedy and Serbia/croatia/Bosnia aftermath it was the break-up of East Europe after the Berlin wall fall. And they ARE being tried those war criminals. Turkey goes back to 1915 and USSR/ China was a horror story in its own league. But USA is a democracy, that went rogue like no other..That's what makes US criminal behavior so unique...A democracy, beacon of the world under FDR...and look what happened to it...
alas, my kingdom for just one well placed, well timed daisycutter...
(my vote for best comment)
Quote of the day. I second that.
We need a zero hedge hall of fame.
that is a winner for a records hall for sure!
DONG energy? Is that a Weiner joke?
good for a few minutes then needs recharging
A fine list of sturdy, trustworthy sounding names.
they are all, all cheese eaters...so why aren't you there with them...coming to think of it...when did YOU last see your father?
You are wrong, they are not all cheese eaters. They are all bastards, though. I am the black sheep, so to speak, and as such disinvited.
Ok, you are excused. But when did you last see your father...I ask you like a true Bilderberg Roundhead.
when did you last see your father
I think perhaps you should google the word "bastard".
that bad...
:)
If anyone is wondering what a fairly innocent agricultural company like Syngenta International is doing there...well they are only trying to privatise the fucking plant gene pool of the world. Nice people. These vermin should be kept as far away from each other as possible.
http://www.ukabc.org/syngenta_foiled.htm
Johnson & Rubin...now there's a pair, I bet when they walk in a room the temperature drops 20 degrees.
not if Harry Kissinger is already in said room.. its already an arctic wasteland
True enough.
Someone else has noted the "cyber" aspect in attendance as well...I thought that intriguing.
communications... the new super fast 4g even for the poor? lol instead of searching hard drives they now scrub clouds!
Cloud computing...there's an Orwellian concept, what is mine, I will place in the "cloud" and pay someone for access to what I own...LOL!
Here's a good one in case you missed it;
"The last straw may have been U.S. District Judge Richard Bennett's recent decision, detailed in a June 5 letter from prosecutors, rejecting efforts to mask references to "NSA's targeting of a specific telecommunications technology" in six documents entered into evidence.
As a result, the prosecution said, it was withdrawing four of the documents and would eliminate any reference to the technology in two others."
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/10/thomas-drake-plea-deal-nsa-leaks-obama-administration_n_874780.html
Hey...hey, you...you, get off of my cloud ;-)
good stuff. good to see you. when I first heard the plea deal I thought WTF? the last two paragraphs say it all. Once again, keeping information and controlling information trump any other priority
"The case clearly collapsed," said Jessalyn Radack of the Government Accountability Project. "It was a case built on sand, and when the government was put to the test, I think it shows that whistle-blowers are not spies and that the Espionage Act is a particularly heinous tool that should never be used to cover up government wrongdoing and punish whistle-blowers who oppose it."
As a presidential candidate, Barack Obama called for a more open government and lauded federal workers who reported wrongdoing. But with the disclosure of hundreds of thousands of sensitive military and diplomatic documents by the anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks last year, President Obama appeared determined to halt the exposure of national security secrets."
Good to see you as well Davey.
The problem is always the same. A bureaucrat can justify just about anything under the guise of "national security" or the commerce clause.
The Whistle Blower Law is there for a reason...to uncover waste, fraud & abuse, they can't be trusted to police themselves, no matter which party is in office. Not sure when the charges were brought (he accessed the files under W) but it doesn't matter.
This guy reported on over a billion dollars in waste and was prosecuted for it, for being a patriot...its ridiculous.
Just looked up Clarium Capital Management as its CEO Peter A. Thiel will be attending. Per wikipedia, this fund lost its ass in 2008 betting against the dollar. AUM went from a peak of $7.8 billion in early 2008 to a paltry 681 million as of December 2010. Major investor redemptions after incurring terrible losses. So much for the savvy Bilderberg crew.
Depends on which direction the money flowed. If it flowed in the direction of fellow Bilderberger pockets, than the major investors took it in the pants while the savvy Bilderbergers made out like bandits.
Maybe the invite is a "job well done" payback for siphoning off investors money into the pockets of well connected Bilderbergers.
Sorta like making money for Remo Gaggi from the movie Casino.
Have they found all of Madoff's billions?
Maybe some Bilderbergers know where they're hidden. How do you keep a scam of that magnitude going without knowing some pretty powerful people. Why else did the SEC ignore for years the fellow that kindly pointed out the whole show was a fraud?
While we sit back and kvetch about how they're creating a One World Government, they're running scams that would make the Russian mob blush.
benevolent counterpaties Bitchez!
Just three names and a detective story: Timothy Geithner, Daniel Zelikow and Reuben Jeffery.
Time: last decade
Place: Iraq, NY Fed, JPMorgan Chase
Missing: $8.7 billion in Iraqi reconstruction funds
Connect the dots in a most easy manner. (Common tie: Rockefeller....Rockefeller....Rockefeller)
Not to fucking mention (in addition)...
....the umpteenbazillion trillion US dollars "lost", unaccounted for by the Pentagon which Rummie mentioned Sept 10, 2001
....the bazillion US dollars FRN's palletized sent to Bagram airbase in Iraq and just plain.... dis-a-fucking-peared
....howze about all the global (sources unimportant) aid moneys sent to those third world dicktators who deposit the shit in Switzerland, Grand Caymans, Jersey (no, not as in Shore) wherethefuckelse ever, who wind up dead, disabled, disappeared.... where's that money go?
So much money to spend, so little time to do it...
You'd think these guys would be more worried about nuclear proliferation.
Damn, no Sarah Palin.
That might tell you something, if your eyes are clear.
She's a nutter. A rodeo clown, and we're the bull..
Sure, and Oblahma is God. Wake up.
Obama & Hillary were invited a few years ago...but not officially so if Palin goes it will be the same deal
http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/sociopol_obama31.htm
C'mon... Obama is a calculating sociopathic strategist. He knew exactly what lies to tell, even on the day of his election.
Palin can't even finish a coherent sentence and was put there, where ever the hell she is, just because she has some strange power over Joe Sixpacks resulting in all the blood flowing from their brain into their cock. She can only think 40 seconds into the future, and remember 20 in the past (goldfish have the advantage there), and will be yesterdays annoyment, once the transfer of wealth and power is complete. Perhaps her face will grace some billboards to keep up appearances but she's not in the inner circle of cunning cunningness. She's a sort of "Baldrick" in "Blackadder" if that means anything to you. As loyal as a small time crook, and as dumb as a lump of dirt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRx90mOXS7Q
Hmmmm, no Herman Cain either. Hey, let's just vote the same crap in over and over!
+1
Herman Cain for president, but only if ron paul pulls out.
I like Cain, mostly, but he can't win. He is not a good liar.
Neither is Sarah Palin, but it doesn't matter because she actually believes the lies.
Fans of sock puppet Ron Paul please note that his handler Peter Thiel is on this list

Looks like you're left with Ralph Nader, if he can hack it one more time.
Strrrrrange world.

Not a complete list. Some of the tail numbers at Engadin show some other corporate jets showing up for the event.
Interesting to see a focus on social networks and cybercrime and warfare from the US. This means the Bilderbergers want improved cyber control of the masses.
They might want to consider allowing dead but well preserved corpses to attend and perhaps make marionette type presentations. Love to see Nixon and Kissinger on stage together maybe with Mao added for balance ranting about the one thing he got right: "power grows out of the barrel of a gun"
Ted Kennedy at the puppet whorehouse.
Well he got that right during the long march days. Then he got it all wrong during cutural revolution. Until HK & RN made him an offer he could not refuse as they wanted out of Vietnam : the ping pong game in Peking, that changed the course of the world. His successor became a true Bilderberger in soul : Deng Xiao Ping. That explains the G2 today.
WTF...No Glenn Beck???
The preference for dry erase over chalk did his invitation in. So it's Reid Hoffman and dry erase.
A list of person's who couldn't possibly agree to disagree without marching orders. A Charade comes to mind.
Some of them on the list are decent people.
But for all food service personnel can you spit in the queen of spain and the prince of norway's food? Oh yeah and that Axa CEO also.
If you have hepatitis B or C then prick your finger and let it drip into the catsup.
Let's be clear. There are no "Americans" on this list. There are many "globalists" on this list that happen to live in the U. S. but zero "Americans". These are some of the "demon elite". Where's a cruise missle when we really need one!!!!!!!
Tuco Benedicto Pacifico Juan Maria Ramirez
Reptilians, to be exact. ;-)
tct! Are you advocating guerilla terrorism in the food service industry?
Is that what E-Coli is?

All executive branch employees are subject to the Standards of Ethical Conduct. The complete text of the Standards of Conduct and the Department's supplemental regulations can be found at 5 C.F.R. § 2635, 5 C.F.R. § 3801 and 28 C.F.R. § 45.
The standards include 14 basic principles of ethical conduct and provide uniform rules about gifts from outside sources, gifts between employees, conflicting financial interests, impartiality in performing official duties, seeking other employment, misuse of position, and outside activities.

Its sad, it really is.
There are times I think I could flip to the darkside and justify the move outwardly to any & all because of these types of revelations...but of course, deep down, I would know better. Its impossible to lie to oneself if sane.
"Just because I'm an old DOJ guy .... ;)"
I always wondered what you did "afterwards" ;-)
I like to think ethics & morality (the foundation of law) is making a comeback in the public consciousness...seems to me the character of human society/events down through the ages runs in cycles, we're way over due for one of the oldest to make a resurgence in my opinion. Maybe it has to burn all the way down to the foundation in order to begin rebuilding...in truth, I was hoping to avoid that...LOL.
great post. have the same thoughts all the time. Seems, maybe I hope, were at the extreme end of the cycle
Whenever I start to hope we might have found the extreme end of the cycle Clear Channel plays Layne ..

Thanks Dave.
Yes, it is.
And so am I
Since you asked (Strange that it is the second time in as many days this has come up, and strangely the answer hasn't changed). Like a favorite literary character named Henry there was a time I thought simply making mud pies was the answer. After getting unrutted by my "Aunt" and doing some traveling I discovered mud pies had lost their allure. You just expressed rather nicely the potential that formed next and how that may have actually been my first or second musical post here.

I cannot but consider that the propensity to kick the can has a ways to run yet while coming to appreciate, as you are, that it really is a natural M&A cycle. Fact remains, like Dave says, there is a long moment when we just know running headlong into that hard unforgiving wall called objective circumstances is gonna hurt. As always it's good to remember how truly lucky we are.

Looks like more answers will require a bit more time friend nmewn. Meanwhile, would you prefer chicken or tofickin? ;-)
Cheers

Seems so, can kicking, on a global scale.
I realize that we all come from a different center...it is good that we can all agree on cause and effect no matter who wears what color shirt. I became friends with Dave the same way as you and I. At first curiosity, then mutual respect and admiration for deeply held views based on logic & fact.
A veer off into my online personality for a moment, everyone wonders why I have the Guy Fawkes avatar and the name "enemy within". Both uses have less to do with overt violence than the realization of where we (the common people) fit in the scheme of things...the big picture.
This is not to say I'm a pacifist, far from it. But I could no more fight for the common who use the system for personal gain than for the elites who in turn use the common for personal gain. 99% of people are good at heart but within the system they have been corrupted by it/because of it and don't even know it...leaving nothing to physically fight for until this attitude/reality changes.
The system has been perverted in my view, everyone will have to come to this realization before anything constructive can begin...or it will crash into an immoral, unethical, decayed heap. It is as de Toquecville said centuries ago, paraphrasing...when the people realize that all they have to do is vote, to have the government stick a gun in their neighbors ear, in order to take their neighbors possessions and give it to them with a nominal carrying charge kept by government, it fails.
Then add in those at the top of the system who play both ends against the middle with complete equality & vigor with not the slightest trace embarrassment...all I can do is sigh.
"As always it's good to remember how truly lucky we are."
Oh yes...in spite of all the negativity of the above.
We can go to the store and get anything we want...no one starves in America, even those who contribute nothing to her. We have the expectation that when we flick the wall switch the light will come on...instead of the trepidation of "will it come on?" We are allowed to move about freely, however clumsily tracked by corporate & government interests through credit dards, cell phones & traffic cams, without having to show the local gendarme your papers at every street corner.
It is not this way in other parts of the world and I am thankful for it.
I'm in the middle of cleaning my pool while many people suffer for fresh water...I can never forget how lucky we really are, nor do I have any guilt for it...I'm often reminded of the old Sam Kennison bit when discussion turns this way ;-)

I have some quality associates that trade sand for food believe it or not. Or if not food in the case of my Canadian associates, then for million dollar crack houses in Vancouver. Even if the sand they trade is slippery and often ice covered.
Meanwhile, my response to Sam...
Is this important, like if they should cancel third, OOPs, first world debt ... ?

I was just thinking to live in such times and to be in such positions during them is simply stupendous
Cheers nmewn and ya, I've been saying for some time we are all on the same road to the same destination and we are all contributors one way or another. Given that I still cannot help thinking I should go with option #1 on occasion, just for the rec. hehe Oh yes, the Dave reference was ment to address both Dave's, the sub-thread and more for some following at a distance using the music & narrative to weave it all together
The system has been perverted in my view, everyone will have to come to this realization before anything constructive can begin...or it will crash into an immoral, unethical, decayed heap
Excellent encapsulation. I am of the opinion that only about 5-10% are needed for the change start happening (Cog's avalanches piece outlines this dynamic in its essence). Humans are essentially herd animals and it only takes a few to get the heard to change direction. (An element I think to the nastiness in natgas and associated spaces this past week)
Take care and I'll see ya around super absurdly dynamic fight clubber
"Is this important, like if they should cancel third, OOPs, first world debt ... ?"
;-)
All of it. Jubilee! Charity doesn't come with an interest rate where I was raised.
Its unsustainable...for third or first. It contributes nothing but an income stream for those connected to a printing press that devalues all of our labor in the first place.
"Meanwhile, which T-Shirt should I go with tonight nmewn?"
LOL...well, they will all get a reaction...I'd be careful with the third if going to, ummm, certain venues.
"I was just thinking to live in such times and to be in such positions during them is simply stupendous"
Ya man. Its there to grab, life is what you make of it. Teaching squire nmewn to drive is my latest joy...had him doing donuts in the field & pulling out of them (with me in the passenger seat coaching him) better me than someone else the way I figure it. He would do it anyways, at some point, now he knows how. Mrs. nmewn was not impressed ;-)
"Given that I still cannot help thinking I should go with option #1 on occasion, just for the rec. hehe"
I hear ya...its honest and straight forward. I used to have a bright yellow one that read Peace in big bold purple letters above an old Browning M2, in small print below it said...through firepower superiority. Drove some people crazy, others laughed like hell...for the same reasons I suppose...they didn't read the fine print till after forming their conclusion ;-)
"more for some following at a distance using the music & narrative to weave it all together"
I understand. Principled stances often require time to absorb in their entirety.
Peace bruh, time to grill some T-bones.

I just finished cooking up some wet & dry ribs periperi as an early evening thunderstorm came rolling through after lounging in the pool most of the afternoon. OH HELL YA!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, it's debt jubilee time and the venue is way right. No concerns there as most of the chicks I associate with well appreciate the duality & clarity of #3, tho #1 draws a certain kind of keen interest. If the Maitre d' raises a fuss I'll just go Charles Bukowski on them a pull a knife. :D
Peace to you & yours.

Just don't pull an ordinary ear of corn out on any BK thread...holy crap!...ROTFL!
NOOOOOO! Not Amazon! I love Amazon!
Amazon has great lists of the books you read... with Google and Facebook and the NSA all sharing notes with each other...
The library has a pretty good list too, but it's cheaper and easier to fake your id. If one was so inclined...
Amazon manages one of the largest cloud server networks on the planet. The books are just a store front.

In a better world 'the people' could choose a SINGLE person to keep an eye out on the going's on. We could send in Cormac McCarthy - (with 'Manchurian Candidate' programming).

What? You think they're a bank?
Suppose they could figure out how all the money in the machine could come directly from taxpayers.
Cuban may be more on the level than you give him credit for. He tried to bankroll a new edition of Loose Change, until the SEC "investigated" him. He backed off the film, and charges were dropped. What's new?
Not knocking Cuban. He'd actually bring some life into this dodgy bunch of prunes. He can remind them they all 'pass gass' despite they're purple blood.
