The FTSE is great, the UK economy so strong, Europe charging ahead, everything so strong, the Asia dive nothing to worry about. No wonder the FTSE went vertical 1% up. No corruption or manipulation here.

Mr Bastard, need some cheering?

Frank Gallagher: Human misery - you can't get enough of it! Willing a bloke to chuck himself to his death so that you can have a bit of fucking "entertainment"! Serves you right if he lands on your heads, you brainless cunts.

Just watch Shameless. Nothing better on Tv. Us version will be shit.

Tickets this way to the Chatsworth Express
Come watch pikeys making a mess of the lives they were given, by him upstairs
and kids there convinced, aren't actually theirs
What sound's on Earth could ever replace,
Kid's needing money or
Wives in your face?
Cause this, people reckon, me included,
Is why Pubs and Drugs, where kindly invented,
To calm us all down, stop going mental.
These are Chatsworth Estates basic essentials.
We are worth every penny,
For grinding your axe's.
You shi* on our head, but you pay the tax's.
Imagine Britain without Chatsworth buccaneers,
Who'd cu* on your face for the price of beer.
Make poverty history, cheaper drugs now!
Make poverty history, cheaper drugs now!
SCATTER!

Outnumbered is good for a chuckle, as Is Garth Meringue's Darkplace, Mighty Boosh, Coupling ( Jeff is a god),Green Wing ( Sue White is a goddess), and It Crowd.

It could go this week, as S is HTF (make no doubt about it).  All they have to do is run Barry's go go gadget "star bux" through Congress, and open up the Spit Swap Lines.  Not only has inflation already been spurred by the creation of massive FIAT (we are at 11% and I am beginning to think we need to rethink inflation numbers....world inflation???  If they are converging all FIAT into one heap of stinkin' mess, should we not use ONE INFLATION NUMBER???  WORLD INFLATION...WHAT WOULD IT BE???  CHINA IS THE WORLD SUPREME POWER-Sorry 'Merca, you ain't got nothing except the illusion of the DOELARR-AND CHINA"S INFLATION IS RUNNING RAMPANT!), but it is on the verge of completing its run into a hyper'ness; fractional reserve lending is ready!  Velocity is all we are waiting for.  Only a minor uptick in velocity would send the whole FIAT paper chase into infinity.  They have the balloons filled with hot air; they cut the ropes and there is no coming back.  Consider yourself Dorthy, and note that OZ does not want your company.  Luckily, you are wearing silver slippers...

First Barry gives some bailout numbers.  This is a must watch.  He also appeared drunk.  Not Dubya drunk, but who can pull that off?

easily one of the more bizarre and surrealistic amalgams ever posted on ZH. to wit, love the section on Meister Eckhart, perhaps my personal favorite metaphysician/theologian and yes, even if any gas is escaping out of gold, silver is going to catch a big wind. it is interesting to note that some months ago Armstrong called a top in USD at 90 some months ago and a low in the Euro of 1.17.watching that tipping point closely

I read the intro by Ruth Ananda Anshen and then stopped to download and savor for later when the day is not as hectic. Beautiful...Thank you Cheeky.

Why am I prompted to share this? I don't know, maybe in celebration of the intergrative forces that maybe unleashed along the path of evolution. Nausrat Fateh Ali Khan, set to dub reggae by an Italian studio wizard. It should be more palatable to the western ear, but Khan's vocals are not diminished. "Ena Akhiyan Noo" To These Eyes. Pity you don't understand the words, but the ecstacy shines through.

@wang: You might want to think a bit about why a beautiful planet next to a stable G-class star is currently a killing zone.

An excerpt from Fromm's treatise

"The realization of the new society and new Man is possible only if the old motivations of profit, power, and intellect are replaced by new ones: being, sharing, understanding; if the marketing character is replaced by the productive, loving character; if the cybernetic religion is replaced by a new radical-humanistic spirit."

and an excerpt from this "beautiful planet next to a G-class star" in an area of Bangkok aka the Killing Zone (something about the human condition, I suspect - but I'm only guessing (sarcasm)

"One of the protesters joked around with a slingshot, in front of the cameras of us photographers: “See – that are our weapons against the soldiers”. The protesters moved the tires further along the road, in front of the Shell gas station near Soi Rang Naam. I positioned myself at the gas station as cover, in case the army would open fire. And straight away the army opened fire. Maybe 5 meters from me, on the road a small group of protesters was stuck behind the tires while bullets passed by. It made a sickening sound when bullets hit the protester who had just joked around with us – in the arm and in the stomach. A few protesters on our side tried to throw a rope over to pull the injured protester to us, but it did not work. The shooting never stopped. Another protester, who tried to crawl away, was hit in the leg and the shoulder. One guy managed to run over to us. I began losing any sense of time. One more of the group managed to cross over to us. Another guy was hit in the arm. After a while the two lightly injured guys ran over to us, one of them falling and crawling into safety. I feared he was hit again."

Au contraire.. The hippies are doing quite well off the grid. If you would like to meet some come to a National Rainbow Gathering. It is held July 1st to July 7th every year in a different National Forest. It is incredible and it is all thing preached by Fromm....

Or for those who like music  http://www.RainbowGlowMedicineShow.com. We have posted eleven years of live recordings from the gatherings. If you don't like the random song that starts playing, just refresh the page to change the song.

We Love You!

And why do these monkeys believe that politics and the economic status quo of Thailand, the military coup, UDD, PAD, etc are worth killing and dying for?

We could provide everyone in the world with unlimited energy and 'money', but unless and until we resolve our psychological mis-framing of reality, then we'll just end up using that energy as the Red and Yellow shirts are.

I don't disagree with what you say/see the world is, but I refuse to believe that it will necessarily always be thus.

The liberals (socialists, progressives, whatever...) can't comprehend the meanness of the peasants.   The conservatives (fascists, whatever) can't comprehend the meanness of the nobility.   Too bad people can't just look in the mirror, but - then - self-delusion is what keeps humanity going.

humanism, social justice and a belief in the inherent goodness of people...

"inherent goodness of people"

I have less belief in that than I do the Efficient Market Hypothesis.

Goodness is a choice, it is far from inherent.  It is also a choice made by very few people in the best of times, far fewer in bad times.

That is my experience, biased though it might be, after having lived many decades and having had the opportunity to live in a dozen countries and work in a wide range of fields, from investment banking to government to philanthropy.  Never found any more nobility among the poor than I did on the trading desks of Wall Street, or vice versa.  It's spread pretty equally, and very sparingly.

I love charts. I was expecting some charts and maybe an essay on candlestick analysis. But noooo. Instead I find charts and Erich Fromm to have or to be. All I can say is, epic! I read through about half of Fromm and there's really alot to think about. I'm definately going to read the whole book a few times before I even attempt to offer any comments on it. I recommend reading it. Thanks for the post Cheeky. Oh, and regarding the charts... bullish on silver.

I read enough to mourn a potential human destiny that seems to be receding every day. So much for the great bald ape experiment. Maybe Kubrick's monolith can do its thing for gerbils next time. However I comfort myself by believing that somewhere in this seemingly infinite cosmos, things have turned out a little better.
