FX Heatmaps: Epic Unwind
The market is practically pricing in the end of Europe. EUR is imploding, with the only currencies worse than the EUR are the PLN and the HUF. Time to buy that Budapest castle you have had your eye on for some time.
Everyone storming into the USD

And for all those still long the EURJPY, you are in our prayers

Don't forget yer industrial strength umbrellas if walking under tall banks today!
Let the games begin...
Deflate in the USA!!!
Ya have to love how all the CNBC market touts were falling over themselves yesterday into the close about "the strong rebound, Euro found stability (for 2 hours), the market is righted, buy buy buy. Where would you invest? Everywhere. Go long and I'll throw the Hail Mary!
Anyone who invests based on the idiotic pronouncements of the CNBC airheads has long ago gone broke...
All hell is breaking loose, in the environment and on wallstreet. Just imagine what will go down when at least one of the seven seals are opened.
oh no, it's the end of the world blah blah blah
Don't be a dipshit.
The seven seals? I take it these seals are not at Seaworld?
Do they come with seven Heidi Klum's?
Dedicated to Bernanke...

I hear Gabriel has been told to clear his schedule for Friday.
The JCB has to be shitting themselves right now. They can't BUY enough Euros to stem 110 now. No freaking way unless the Fed helps.
OIS and LIBOR are going to blow out along with USD/GPB & GPB/YEN.....
This event could be a direct challenge to the CBs ability to hold the economy of the world in their hands.
Going now to buy more scotch.
Edit: Got some.
I don't know if anyone has enough scotch for this next one. But it's fun to accumulate anyway...........
I recommend something like Goldwasser or Zelta vodka, that way you get gold and alcohol at the same time.
I'm a Glenmorangie man, myself...
I got some Glenfiddich 18.
AND if a short sale ban don't work, they'll go ahead and nationalize banks and wipe shareholders out. They have done it, they can and if pushed they will.
So how would you like to express the losses from the decades of malinvestment - would you prefer even more inflation and penalise deposit holders.
Caviar we are now in a zero-sum game - there is no surplus to smooth over all the holders of capital.
Here is the genius Leo a few hrs ago,
+1
Even Harry Wanker thinks it's time to sell now...
Wait, maybe that's a bad sign
Yeah, and the eye of a hurricane is pretty calm too.
I guess Leo couldn't "tell" very far after all.
I wonder if Goldman is "buying the dips" today
Goldman is buying its own traders?
Source of margin call rumor, if any?
To parity and beyond! Buzz Lightyear
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Why-the-euro-is-headed-for-hftn-34912438.h...
Nothing but air below. 1.19 and then parity.
The last one to deflate their currency will be the one left holding the bag.
words that now are about 1 year old. America will be the one if it doesn't ACT NOW!
I smell Euro collapse tonight front and center. We just might eclipse below 1.20
There's an epic battle to hold 1.22 going on right now.
It's like watching two opposing armies throw everything they got at each other, one massive, rolling bombardment of thundering cannon. Is it JPM or BB? And how much dry powder do they have?
Somewhere someone is going crazy, losing this battle. This is not going to hold. How do you let it go? How do you just pull the plug and walk? Who calls it?
.... and 1.22 is gone. I wonder if we'll ever see that one again.
I never thought watching a chart could be so exciting....oooo 1.2196...
Equities getting slaughtered too:
http://finviz.com/map.ashx?t=sec
This is epic, nothing short!
Well of course it's nothing short of epic, you're not allowed to short epicness any longer, at least nakedly.
PPT in action! Bidding up US equities in the 15 minutes before the close!
My fucking head hurts, my buttock hurts and i'm going to bed. Can someone wake me when this is all over please.
Maybe I'll open one of those practice Forex accounts...
Either that, or World of Warcraft
Unbelievable...I am not sure how many times I've said that in the last year. But it still amazes me when it happens.
I am always amazed at how fast things happen and then the next day it feels like slow motion when things calm a bit . I don't think there will be calm tomorrow but I have been wrong so many times before . This is like a gigantic novel with every tiny detail being thought out then finally the plot moves . Problem is I don't have any idea what chapter or page this is. the last ? the first?
We're watching history. I think currencies are not economically but politically based....so now there is nothing "real" anymore at all. And we are whiplashed back to the 1950's.....but without the gold. Time to break out my best cigars.
I gave up the cigars, but breaking out the ammo is a good idea.
Rehab Smehab. They are tanking the Euro on purpose. EU Ministers Vow to Avoid Continent-Wide Austerity Proposals by the European Commission would extend the threat of sanctions to cover countries that fail to push their budgets toward balance during “good economic times,” even if the deficit is below the threshold. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601010&sid=ayttBFQlmtjUSomeone just woke up W.Münchau apparently
who throws many stones at the financial-transaction
tax, which I thought had been abandoned on the
Euroland battlefield:'Pseudoproblemen Spekulanten
http://www.ftd.de/politik/europa/:kolumne-wolfgang-muenchau-pseudoproble...
He does have a point with the underlying populism
of these measures, creating the impression of a safety
shield for the Euroland, powder for the masses
while the currency gets shredded...
Is there any possibility that the Germans didn't know the effect their announcement would have on the markets? Did they tell the other finance ministers in Brussels beforehand or did they hang them out to dry at the very moment the FinMins were meeting in Brussels?
It's starting to smell a little bit like panic; loss of coordination and people going off the reservation is a clue.
Good point. Interesting to see if the Greeks make their payment tomorrow.
Time to buy that Budapest castle you have had your eye on for some time.
Can I get a mortgage denominated in forint?
How about a negative-equity jumbo with payments deferred for five years?
Denominated in the paper of my choice? Deal!
I wish I went to Europe now than last August with girlfriend. We went to Greece, Spain, and Ireland. Ironic is it because we went to nations that have debt problems. It was like 1.6 $ to 1 Euro. Now it is below. Geee I wish for a cheap "Roman Holiday."
Euro will be around as long it is above 1USD>1EU. Why? Just an intuitive thought that 1 to 1 is a mental point of no return because EU market its currency as a stronger than dollar since 2001.
I hear ya. My three-week honeymoon in Paris and Amsterdam was in June 08 at the peakity peak.
The strength of dollar-denominated gold in the face of this rush into USD is all any of you need to see. If we're setting up for the final leg, it will of course be a final mad rush out of USD.
Where's my scotch? Oh, right here on my desk....
DXY has broken out & will keep heading higher...AUD/USD needs only to break under 0.8578 & this bear will be well & truly back
having gone long the CAD-AUD on the theory of variable gravity I say go you good thing!
