German Finance Minister Rushed To Hospital On Eve Of Last Greek Bailout

Tyler Durden's picture

The reason given by Reuters why the FinMin is in the hospital is due to an adverse reaction to a new medicine. While we wish Schaeuble all the best, his the timing could not possibly have been worse: the whole world is watching with baited breath to see what happens in Europe before 6pm eastern tonight. Anything less than an "ironclad" bailout program will result in a total market wipeout tomorrow.

We will bring you more as we get it.

This is just bizarre. Maybe the medicine he reacted to was the bailout?

He could also have been overcome by what some refer to as the "Hank Effect". He ingested too much "truth", and became violently ill.

Perhaps the German Finance Minister had too many schnitzengruben.

Lili Von Shtupp: Would you like another schnitzengruben?

Bart: No, thank you. Fifteen is my limit on schnitzengruben.

The whole world might be watching, but you wouldn't know it from looking at the TV.  I just ate lunch (salad from my garden! woot! it was fricking awesome, BTW) and scanned the Sunday news for about 20 minutes for anything, anything on the financial crisis / European debt / stock market.  Nothing.  All talk is about Obama (?), the oil spill, the Times Square bomber.

The oil spill is much more important than the EU.  It doesn't matter if everyone goes broke all at once. It does matter if the ecosystem collapses and noone can eat anything from the sea forever.

The oil spill is threatening the balance of wildlife in the Oceans. Iceland's Volcano is threatening all life in the air and on the ground for who knows how many miles radius or for how long.

Money can be replaced with good old fashioned production. Air, water and food can't.

Just delete Government and fiat currency from your life and you will be much better off, until you confront the harsh reality that no matter how sharp your spear or your skill, whatever you catch you might not be permitted to eat. Then you will be fully awake MOMO.

The oil spill is a technical problem that can be solved.  The financial crisis is a debt problem that cannot.  Wanna see ecological destruction?  Think "World War."

The UK doesn't look like its going to have a government by Monday and the current Chancellor has said Britain will not participate in a Euro bailout but only make a limited defined contribution to a fund to help European countries.

Says he won't let Britain take on any liabilities.  The Conservatives, when they take power are going to do even less than that and leaked memos suggest they want to take a hardline stance and withdraw Britain from everything but the trade aspects of Europe

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble was "conscious" in a Brussels hospital Sunday after suffering an allergic reaction during crisis talks to protect the eurozone, his spokesman said.

"He is doing well under the circumstances," said Michael Offer, adding that Schaeuble was "conscious" and "understands what is being said to him" after taking new medication for the first time, according to his ministry.

Oh, well, that's OK then...move along, nothing to see here..

A thought to ponder, there is a massive capital call racing around the world...

Germany & France are attempting to put England in a position to be blamed for the coming colapse of the Euro.  The EU/French are demanding that England & now Germany fund the bail outs with more capital than is realistically available to them. For different reasons the Brits & Krauts cant stumach the bottom line numbers...

So, this leads to England needing to bail out of the EU Adventure to save its own ability to control the capital already inside of its economy.  You cant ask Britain to fund 10% of the Euro bail out fund with an internal deficit already measured in double digits.

Germany needs out of the Euro before it is BK'ed in "capital calls", and should be preparing to launch the next D.M. once the Euro is low enough to lock in a favoritable export currency rate.

All Currencys need to go to 1 and you get...

1 Dollar = 1 Pound = 1 Broken Euro = 1 New D.M. = 100 Yens
