Get Ready To #AskObama Why The Country's Credit Card Is Maxed Out
The biggest farce of the day is about to unfold as Obama holds a "twitter hall" meeting in which he will accept questions, pre-cleared and moderated by Twitter itself, which means congratulations, about the economy and jobs. The town hall can be accessed by using the #AskJobs hash tag or at the website below. As usual, this will be merely another PR debacle in which everyone participating will see the questions which are not being answered, and ignore the softballs lobbed at the teleprompter in chief.

While questions must be asked in the 140 character limit imposed by Twitter, the president will have free range in his answers. Shortened summaries of Obama’s responses will be posted to @townhall.
Twitter co-founder and Executive Chairman Jack Dorsey will read the questions and the president will offer his responses to an audience of 140 in the East Room of the White House, although the majority of the questions will come from Twitter users across the country, not from within the room.
Roughly 30 members of the audience will be Twitter followers from across the nation picked through the White House’s “Tweetup” page. The VIPs will live tweet the event and get a chance to meet with senior policy officials afterwards, according to the White House.

i think we lost our country right after the civil war. there was further degradation during the subsequent years and then came the FED act in 1913, that kind of sealed the deal. FDR continued the damage. JFK wanted to stop the damage and he wasn't around long.

exactly...what few people realize is that statesmanship is dead...it was alive during the war of Northern Agression (it was not a civil war the union had been dissolved). The likes of Robert E. Lee, say what you want, he was a statesman. We need men like Lee, Jefferson, Sam Adams. I don't believe that any number of lone wolf attacks will do anything but discourage the masses to organize after they see the example that leviathan makes out of them. I would only orphan my children for a cause worthy of them to remember why they lost their father... so that they could lead a better life. After all, that is all we really want is a better life for our children. That is what it all boils down to in the end. The fact our children will be worse off than we are speaks volumes about the predicament we find ourselves in. A good story that even gives me a spark of hope in my god forsaken neck of the woods is this story here...remember the journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. I pray god has mercy on our souls as this seems to be shades of things to come as times grow worse.

Tell you what Doyle. I am 60 years old. I have a history of physical fitness. Always have. I try and stay in shape for the day when it will be needed. I am veteran. I know what I need to do. There are many like me. Waiting. The young people of this country must understand something. This world is their world, not mine. The older men also participated in guerilla attacks on enemy supply columns, etc. So yes, when the time comes now, many of us shall be ready. But the weight of the battle must be born by the younger men and women. It is their world now. There is much to gain and much to lose. I sure hope they understand this. i apologize for the lack of citizenship on my part and the lack of citizenship on the parts of my fathers and their fathers before them. But this time, these problems cannot be passed to the next generation as so many have done before. They must be dealt with now, in this time. Either they are dealt with now, or we shall cease being a country. They are, to put it mildly, just that damn serious.

I too am a veteran , Drifter (by the way loved that movie, filmed at Mono Lake). I am in generation x though. My father and a good friend of mine, both 65 and both Vietnam Vets, are both of the mind much like yourself. They both are of the mindset hey we have lived long lives are children are grown, and should the need arise they are prepared to give their life and take as many assholes with them as they have to. One of the greatest miscalculations of the the powers that be was to send us to fight their wars. It is very difficult for them to put in place their oppression with so much of the populace being of a military background and armed to the teeth. I woke up after leaving service on disability in 2003. I had a lot of time on my hands and like you the blinders were stripped from my eyes. I started reading of liberty, and of tyranny. I found out what we had here was slaves willingly handing the executioner a rope to hang them while all the while spouting how 'free' they really were. i wish we had someone with the fortitude of the Founders, and perhaps the closest we have is Ron Paul and the writings of Murray Rothbard. I have done my best to properly educate my children despite the public school system and the me, me , me hippies that overran the system when those boomers came of age and put their useless degrees to work to take the socialist revolution to the classrooms and universities of America. As a collective I do blame the baby boomers for our problems because they sold us down the river. They were/are the most self centered if it feels good do it generation ever (of course the current generation will have that title for sure before it is all done). That being said people like yourself, my father, my friend, and countless others who went on fought the corporate wars for the powers that be understand what America is and what it should be. I pray that it doesn't end in bloodshed and death, I mean no one ever wants that. The system has grown too unsustainable and become too oppressive to bear though, and we are past the ballot box remedy at this time. So we either have to organize under the guise and cover of like minded people or we have to stand in line and wait to be sent to Auschwitz. Those are our choices. Never thought I would say this...the fed is doing a good job of destroying itself with all the worthless paper they have, all the back door liquidity deals. I agree the fed has no place in the long term scheme of things and that it should be ended willingly rather than by default. That being said, the point now is to get as many usable resources into the hands of like minded people so when the fed does end be it voluntarily or by collapse enough people of our minds are in possession of the tools to step in and fill the vacuum with a sound currency and enough resources to where we cannot be starved out, those include firepower, rations, and most of all knowledge in both tactics and liberty. Remember the Continental Congress had no authority to do what it did, yet they became the law of the land. Actual people supporting the revolt were less than 30% of the population.
