Getco Churns Nearly Entire GM Float As Stock Closes At Lows Of Day, And $1 Below Break Price
The only clear winner from today's GM IPO? All those who got IPO shares and flipped them to the sheep. And of course GETCO, which churned 452 million of GM's 478 million share float: in other words 95% of the entire float was traded by computers! As for everyone else, you lost: with the stock closing at the lows of the day, all retail investors who bought in post the break, and on the way down ended up with losing positions. We eagerly await the teleprompter's appearance at 4:15 pm eastern to spin this in the right way and convince people that a loss is really a gain.

oh yes.. If you drive a GM you get these women.
I volunteer to do the security check... for free.
And they call me a troll? I can post porno shots too
where's that Orly nitwit? Come and defend this stupidity
this is not porno, it's art.
relax.
Works for me! :>D
It appears that RobotTrader gets it.
Everyone loves to admire beautiful women; either we want to be them or we want to have them. Perfectly human and perfectly natural.
There is no one who is being put-down or degraded and, frankly, I am very glad that women are welcome here. I think it is important not to exclude more than half the population through a process of intimidation. Women are far better traders than men are by a mile and to exclude them would eliminate half of the good trading tips we could garner from this site.
So, stupidity it is not. Eye candy it is. And it is good.
:)
well, i do have a breast fettish, so am ok with it. It's the one thing I love more than lying about gold. You should see the girls at the HSBC parties am invited to
Silicon futures up?
Good for a swing trade.
And down and up and down and up again..

Send this shit to Bernanke. Great analysis.
What are you talking about, the boys at the SEC already sent their version, NSFW!!
Spot on!
RT, I don't have many heroes, but that posting makes you one. F'n excellent.:)
Gad! The Weather guy got it all over Ohio AND Pensylvania!
Peach (AKA Renata Daninsky, the 3rd gal in the red bikini top) is one gorgeous babe!
CNBC Anchorette Auditions?
Is CNBC finally firing Liesman?
Hiring one of these obviously more qualified financial reporters than the super douche bag Liesman?
Or is everybody now really sick of Erin "Mannish Boy" Burnett?
Whoever you shorts are, BEN AND TIMMY WILL FIND YOU!
I'm standing here, unwavering, staring right at them, so finding me shouldn't be a problem.
They threw sand in my face (a little girly throw too); I wiped my eyes and am waiting for their next move... Will pull some cash out on "Run-on-the-banks-day", pick up more silver from apmex, and boycott a 'consumer' Christmas for dinner and wine.
They will die by hundreds of millions of paper-cuts.
Victory for the bulls!

I hate to look. My blood pressure is very high. Was SHLD in the green today?
Not a chance. I was in there (Sears) last night and walked out with nothing. Margins must be nonexistent on the stuff they sell and the rest just sits.
Dude this is too funny.
A profitless gain.

But come on man... FASTMoney told me to buy buy buy... how could I possibly have gone wrong? And Cramer... he told me to buy Ford because it was going to $20.00 for sure on the GM IPO. WTF! :)
The volume on F's move down is so beautiful I almost want to cry.
The Fastmoney told us to jump on GM.
Cramer confirmed it.
Robert Wolf of UBS thinks at this very second that GM is great buy and can't wait to get his clients money into it. He didn't say where he is putting his money...
Obama's speech confirmed that we are now under some kind of half-assed communism...
GM has paid back 50% of the Taxpayer Bailout... Yeah?
How can a company that is 1/2 owned by the Taxpayer have an IPO?
I am ignorant when comes to this level of Corpo-Governmental Criminality.
Is there somebody who can explain (beyond "because they said so") how this is legit?
*IF* the SAAR was going back to 16M units per year....yea, that's right. CRE and residential RE is a great buy also if it gets back to peak bubble levels.
The problem is, we aren't going back to those levels. Some people can't seem to accept that.
GM, F, and Chrylser are gaining market share though. I don't think it justifies this assinine share price...but, they'll survive as a company.
"I am ignorant when comes to this level of Corpo-Governmental Criminality"
Please bing the National Socialist Worker's Party, Germany, ca. 1938.
+1 Amerika where capitalism once existed.
So we have Nazis?
Or am I a Nazi?
Or being ignorant about this type of issue leads me to be a Nazi?
Where are the fucking Nazis!
Seriously, I am imagining that some kind of laws are being stretched just a wee bit to allow a company that is publicly owned to be publicly held.
I am far off in space here, hanging out with alien Nazis or what?
Thanks
No, the National Socialst Party of Germany after the First World War was set up as a fascist dictatorship, in that there was a council for the governemnt, led by a chancellor on the one side, and on the other side were social enterprises and corporations. It was a Fascist state.
Fascism basically means that the government and the corporations are one; whereby the people running the corporations move into government and vice versa, exchanging ideas until they become indistinguishable.
An example would be Robert Rubin of Goldman-Sachs becoming Secretary of the Treasury, or the Secretary of the Treasury, Henry Paulson, having come from Goldman-Sachs.
Bing Ferdnand Porsche and see what his role was in building the "People's Car," or what happened to Thyssen-Krupp when they wouldn't play ball.
It's all there. This is just a replay.
So what does that make the TSA then? The Sturmabteilung or the Schutzstaffel?
Sturmabteilung...
They are going to get hung out like long knive bitchez...
But Facsism will march on...
"So what does that make the TSA then?"
...the few, the proud, the Diabetic
Wall Street, Rockefeller and Ford Loved Nazi Germany...
Where from 1929 to 1941 US investments declined every where in Europe except...
You Guessed It!
Union busting Nazi Germany where US investments rose 50%...
Perhaps it will be the Germans who invest Reichmarks, er, Euros in the US, bust a few (public) unions, und help Herr General Whatiznamen kickstart the 1000 Year Reich, v4.
Paging Lord HaHa, pick up a black courtesy phone, Berlin calling.
Sounds like mission accomplished from the Ponzi point of view.
Fascist! ;-)
Obama now on TV taking credit for keeping the zombie alive. I think I just threw up in my mouth.
I thought Bush bailed out GM.
They DP'd it.
DP'd?
More like Hat Tricked the bitch.
You're right. Dec/2008.

I guess Salesforce.com must have beat big....
Up $13 now...
"I met my sales quota this month!!!"
Woohoo! CRM made $0.15 a share! Income of $21 million... the company has a $15 billion market cap. Can anyone do math anymore?
Now, THAT young lady KNOWS what Freedom feels like! (Freedom from wearing a bra!) :>D
The telepromter just reported that auto companies hiring at faster rate in more than a decade.....
Maybe after they hire all these new workers, and since no one wants to buy them w/o a tax credit, they will just build the cars then blow them up? I remember seeing someone doing that to a building reciently... Was that GM too?
Haha.
Just watching Obama declare "Mission Accomplished"...
Har dee har.
"A rally that won't quit" - Maria "my voice can etch diamonds" Bartiromo.
Robo, lets call them the "Robo ponzi chorus and boner boy." As for GM, "Sell American, I am."
I didn't know Kate Middleton did porn.
What kind of miracle would be needed for the President to take just 1 question?
He finished his statement and slinked off to a chorus of reporters questions as usual.
teleprompters dont answer questions.
I am sure they wanted to ask him if he was going to disneyworld to celebrate the victory. He needs a vacation after this one
Jamie DImon only gives his puppet 1 teleprompter answer at a time...
What's a little fraud among friends? Man, I love bullshit. It makes the perfect sammich.

Let's suspend judgment until our resident automobile expert can comment on the results today.
Phil "Hot Wheels" Lebeau?
I think Lebeau actually has some integrity and calls it pretty cleanly. I think he's the only person on CNBC that doesn't make vomit pool in the back of my throat upon sight.
...What?
Hint:
"Twofold: Government owned now going mostly back to public. And more importantly IMO is symbolism of a Cinderella story. Makes people feel good that an iconic company can go bk and rise back."
They actually might come back. They've never lacked the potential, know-how, or ability. They just had really really really piss poor leadership. Almost like every other organization anymore.
Obviously, it's a long shot and the public has to stop mule-kicking them in the head every chance they get.
Clearly, the equity charade today is complete propoganda bullshit which is unfortunate because it fuels the skeptical view of GM. I don't think the workers, managers, and executives need that right now.
Wasn't my junk that touched yer posting.
I don't get the same warm fuzzy from Phil... I saw to much grovelling and snivelling from him in 2008 on behalf of his buddies in the Auto industry.
Now that is all that comes to mind when I see him... Pouting.
are u kidding teleprompter is celebrating this fraud - another "rescue"
salt in the wound
Boo -yaa
The POTUS taking his victory lap now on the boobtube
CNBC now fighting over the IPO/break price and which one is better. ! LOL
I am telling you something is going to happen soon because listening to the Pres saying every- thing is repaired and we are on the way up out of this depression makes me suspicious.
Keep your ear to the rail because a Black Swan is comming soon.
everything is "just to Peachy" !!

Ford Motor went public in 1956. It was a long long time until it regained it's IPO price. Like 10 years.
Lets not forget Dell. Its all good. Repeat after me. There is no recession. There is no unemployment. ITS ALL GOOD. All praise The Bernank
http://www.cnbc.com/id/40258015
...and Dell computers are made in....
The fedgub is on its way to a profit on this one I tells ya!
Asians jumping on board AH...
CNBS just did a GM calculation. The treasury needs the GM share price to rally by 50% to around $50 bucks a share to break even on the taxpayer investment. Either, don't fight the treasury because they'll get there, or, no worries, the treasury says its just taxpayer money, I want to enrich my wall st. buddies, look out below.
I'm betting on "look out below."
The Treasury would need to reap $26.4 billion, or an average of $52.79 a share, on its remaining stake to break even.
Does that weather man have a hard-on for GM?
The satellite data sure appears so.
I picked the 5 day option (before going under), but doesn't surprise me that it happened this first day.
The Dow chart today was also completely ludricous. It's like they set the controller to 1.5%, and went to the bar.
Actually, that's probably pretty close...
turning japanese.
I heard on Bllomberg radio last night that of the 5% of shares allocated to GM none of them went to the rank and file workers - the execs musta sucked them up - way to treat the boys and girls work'n the line GM - biznuss as usual -
The Chevy Volt at a paltry 45k will get them well. Just like the Vega and the Monza.
Just wait til they bring back the vette, chevette!
Hey, now, back up off the Monza.
Love that car.
Don't forget the Chevy Luv bitchez...
...how could anyone not see this GM tar baby? ...do you still call yourselves "professionals"?...and is cramer twitting something for you to read?...let me know because i never bothered to check the last time...what does it take people?!!! anyone willing to admit buying this stuff on the open?...LOL!!
Well I picked up all my F shares when it hit $9 and sold them last week at $16.30
Not to labor any of these entities, but GE trades around $16 a share on $160 billion in revenue and $11 billion in profit. GM goes IPO at $35 with less than $105 billion revenue and an UNDEFINED profit. Never mind all the government intervention. Insane.
OK. Its official. From now on anybody posting charts also has to post clips of smiling chicks shaking their money makers. Money makers.
No one will want or need a new car shortly. Sounds like a great investment. Morons.
Damn.....didn't we just vote yesterday on how long it would take for this devious IPO puppy to back up ? I voted 24 hours. Do I win something ?? Final vote tally please....
I'm way ahead of you looking for our prize Rainman... Cougar says we should be patient... He may be right, but last I looked it was trading down after hours too. :)
Great, so after this IPO, when should I expect my share of the public's profits from this investment?
April 15th.

Why wait when there's google finance:
http://www.google.ca/finance?q=NYSE%3AGM
Supposedly it closed up 3.1%
GM also listed on Toronto so there are plenty of Canadian suckers to offload to as well.
This was such a scam that I can't believe CNBC has been pushing this for weeks. This is a dog, and believe me this stock will just keep going lower when the market opens tomorrow. As I stated before in other posts, you don't have a stock that opens at 35 and make up 25% of trades all day to have at its highest in pricing/ask to be 35.99. 99 cents is the highest it went all day in todays trading. Today was such a joke that it will go down in history believe me.
I shall remember it well.
What? I read it closed up 1.19 or 3.61%
That's because they changed the open price early on from 35 to the 33 list price, even though it indeed started at 35. That's why the percentage looks higher. Just putting more lipstick on the pig.
Ok, OT for titties, but PO'd and generally cranky that GM is pricing the Volt starting at $41k.
Why is this car so expensive? It looks like a Hyundai. Why isn't it priced like one?
Gotta figure they are getting a lot of the components from China. What's with the markup?
U.S. needs to wean off oil, and the U.S. middle class finances have contracted, but nooooo, GM is marketing peak oil awareness as status symbol.
The same reason the Saturn EV-1 was only leased and taken off the market.
They absolutely do NOT want electrics or hybrids to be successful, so they're priced accordingly. Who says sabotage is only done by enemies?
MSM sure is tooting the GM Horn. Thanks in part to their relentless efforts in crushing Toyota with all the negative recall publicity. I'm sure the VOLT will be the future for GM? NOT! Go back and read all those articles about how China is hoarding all of the earth's presious minerals...Good luck with that. Oh and by the way..How much is a new Chevy Volt electric car worth?
