Glenn Beck Explains The Latest Iteration Of Quantitative Easing

Tyler Durden's picture

Does most of America still really have no clue what Quantitative Easing is... Nor that Bernanke committed perjury over the whole "Federal Reserve will not monetize the debt" thing... Nor that Tim Geithner also lied on CNBC when he told Treasury puppet Steve Liesman that the Fed is not monetizing debt? So what is the point of all of this?

From Wiki on Freedom Works:

FreedomWorks is primarily funded by individual donations. According to the media watchdog group Media Matters for America, FreedomWorks has also received funding from Verizon and SBC (now AT&T).[13] Other FreedomWorks funders have included Philip Morris and foundations controlled by the Scaife family, according to tax filings and other records.[14][15] It also receives funding through the sale of insurance policies through which policyholders automatically become members of FreedomWorks.[16]

FreedomWorks is closely tied to its founder, corporate lobbyist and former Republican Congressman Dick Armey, whose former lobbying firm DLA Piper from which he resigned in August 2009, represents Bristol Myers Squibb, among other pharmaceutical companies.[6][17]

The Koch family foundations were the largest donors to FreedomWorks' parent organization, Citizens for a Sound Economy, contributing nearly $13 million between 1985 and 2005.[18]"

ON BIG DICKS LOBBYING

At the start of 2003, Armey joined the Washington office of the law firm DLA Piper (formerly DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary) as a senior policy advisor.[16] Armey was also the firm's co-chairman of its Homeland Security Task Force.[17]

In August 2009 Armey was asked to step down from his lobbying position at DLA Piper, which was doing lobbying work for the pharmaceutical industry regarding health care reform legislation. Armey was simultaneously chairing the conservative group FreedomWorks which was actively working to defeat health care reform by encouraging and organizing high conservative turnouts at congressional and senatorial town hall meetings. DLA Piper was concerned about the conflict of interest particularly since their clients were spending millions in advertising and lobbying money to support the passage of health care reform and FreedomWorks was linked to demonstrations at town hall forums where health care reform was being discussed.[18]"

Glenn Beck’s Red Right Hand

You’ll see him in your nightmares, you’ll see him in your dreams He’ll appear out of nowhere, but he ain’t what he seems You’ll see him in your head, on the TV screen And hey buddy, I’m warning you to turn it off! He’s a ghost, he’s a god, he’s a man, he’s a guru You’re one microscopic cog in his catastrophic plan Designed and directed by his red right hand.

The question then is this. Is Rupert Murdoch  a member of the NWO?   The answer of course is yes. Who is the NWO?  I leave that to your fertile imaginations. So if Murdoch is the enemy, then why does he pay a man, like Beck , lots of money to have a show on his network, that many on here say, is enlightening people and helping people? Why indeed?  What was it Jesus said one time when told he was casting out demons in the name of the prince of demons?  He said, Why would satan go against satan? A house divided cannot stand. So I tell you this. The NWO people (and I am being real nice calling them this) do not care one bit about our wellbeing and many of you know that something bad comes this way. So my advice for you is to pay careful attention to this man called Beck and keep your muskets loaded and ready. One thing is for sure. I as a Texan, will never ever forgive him for what he did to Debra Medina and let us not forget what he tried to do to Ron Paul who was the tea party candidate. Speaking of the tea party, now Mr Beck is on board it seems. Isn't that nice? One thing is for certain. The NWO people will not pay some man 50M a year to sabotage all that they have worked for , for 3000 years.

I'll take a run at answering the question:

Nor that Tim Geithner also lied on CNBC when he told Treasury puppet Steve Liesman that the Fed is not monetizing debt?

The answer is......... YES! Most of America has no clue and if not for ZH, most people here wouldn't either.

Glenn beck is a tool of the establishment. He is what they call "controlled opposition", and make no mistake, even though the things he may say are, at times, true and correct, there IS some sort of deception involved. It may be social, psychological or subliminal. Whatever it is, you won't notice it completely until the game is up. The establishment telling the truth is known as the doctrine of "audacity"; A sort of psychological shock and awe campaign. They know your mind and they know what makes you tick. The art of deception and control is one that the elites who he works for have MASTERED since the beginning of time. The very point of deception is for the audience not to know they have been deceived. Be very careful when siding with or being loyal to this man in any way. He may not even be AWARE of the total agenda, but rest assured that there IS an agenda, and it is NOT in your best interest. Think freely, expand your mind and awareness, and do not mindlessly watch this man and be impressed.

Yes the tea party was taken over by the same people who helped to cause all of the problems we now have. Why is this happening?  George Carlin said it best. The real owners just want obedient workers, people who are just smart enough to do the shitty jobs and don't worry about this thing called freedom and liberty because they are not interested in what we think about  things.

the good news, is that the 'tea-partiers', as described and carried by the MSM has very little to do with the shadow 'rebels' (independents) that are enjoying the reality that the R/D political stronghold has a chink in its armor.

maybe someday the lessor of evils that we *get* to vote for (mccain? obama? ha) might actually be *less* evil.

its fun to ask a tea-party critic which of the 171 TP factions he's referencing... far more mercurial than the MSM world is used to and they just can't stand it, so they beat on palin and gingrich. let 'em beat away. i'm just quietly voting against idiots and apparently something changed this week.

This is a tell YouAreBliss, you just showed your hand. "Never went to college"... Neither did I. I am currently employed by a company with full benefits that lets me retain ownership of my creations, which I then license for further income. I am also free to offer my services to others. This employment requires maybe 80 hours a month, all unsupervised. And it's damn fun work, exciting work. I have spent my time since college years reading of history, physics, art and recently, finance (kudos to the ZH crowd).

I'm in this position precisely because at the age of 18 I decided a "proper" education wasn't going to give me the freedom and income I now enjoy. A "proper" education would have killed my passion. I'm sure Beck & Rush would understand, it's a pity you don't.

You are bliss? With your comment, I'm not so sure.

I have undergraduate and graduate degrees (in hard sciences) from two good schools and am a Diplomat of the American Board of Radiology.

I have worked in hi-tech industry and medicine for more years than I want to admit.

There is more intelligence and clear thinking on one shop floor or one nursing ward than there is in all the Ivy League colleges put together.

I am so sick of elitists making fun of people because of their lack of "credentials" (i.e. pieces of expensive paper awarded to them by self-absorbed, arrogant idiots that have never actually done anything in their either life but brag about how much they know) that I want to throw up.

Our country's biggest problem is that these arrogant whiz kids (like Timmy, Barack, and Ben) think their degrees confer wisdom when all they show is a willingness to kiss professors' butts and repeat back the Marxist drivel that is taught at universities.  The more prestigious the university, the worse the drivel.

I wish we could make not having a college degree (especially from the Ivy League) a requirement for any public office.  We are doomed if we keep listening to the idiots that have never thought for themselves because they were always hanging out with the "smartest idiots in the room."

Clearly the QE is being done for the banks... the idea that Ben is printing $600 billion for Harry Reid to give to the casino union pension fund is just ludicrous.  Every single move that has been made from the beginning of the meltdown has been for the banks and no one else.

However, Glenn at least is trying to get his dumb viewers to stop watching the puppet show and focus on the REAL threat to America - the Federal Reserve.  He gets props from me for even trying.

So I guess Glen is a partisan hack who at least is directing his partisan hack viewership to focus on the actual source of the threat to our nation.  It's  a start.

Does GB truly believe lower to mid level blue team minions (union chiefs) are really pulling the puppet strings?  It is pretty obvious that the banksters are getting the "gold mine" here and the unions are getting the shaft.  The unemployed and workers without unions are getting bigger shafts.  So how does inspiring those who are unemployed or make even less than union folks to envy and blame unions help J6P understand what's happening?.

Obviously jobs would still go to China if the minimum wage was made the maximum wage, applied to all, and strictly enforced; because total labor cost there would still be 8-12 times cheaper.

GB assumes leadership of the new opposition with a little bit of MSM truth (such a rare thing these days),  then sics them on the bought off remnants of the old opposition.  I wonder, if he gets them fighting in the streets (while calling for peacefull protest of course!) if the army is called in to finish them off?

While we're beatin' on folks, let's note that the Community Organizer-In-Chief has just had the community tell him his plan is unacceptable, and the Repubs have been told "second chance--last chance".  Which do you think will get it?  Whoever gets it first, wins.  My bet is on the TPs, so the GOP will get it, or else.  The Boehnsternator strikes me as someone who will listen, but unless they free up some small-biz rules to give them courage to risk growing without getting smacked-down by the IRS and HHS, the TP will have to make their own official party.  Two years, bitchez, or the Indies trot to the TP.

UNIONS?! Unions make the chalk board with Harry Reid? He just had to screw up an otherwise descent chart and distort the whole equation....making it WRONG.

But - at least someone is attempting to discuss QE. I'd rather he not shit on the working middle class to make a point that should be centered on central banking, the FED and the financial services industry. But - that's what we get in America - half assed bullshit on TV. If his equation were accurate sans his union campaign, he probably wouldn't be on TV.

The problem with Beck is because of his partisan blinders he only gets half the story right.  Sure, QE is FUBAR... that's something most people on ZH can agree on, but in his chalkboard example it's the Unions and pensioneers going to washington buying off politicians when in actuality, what unions spend in politics is eclipsed many many times by what industry, mega-corps and oligarchs spend in politics(1).  But god forbid we criticize big business.  The second example of his partisanship is when he talks about the Social Security Fund being filled with bonds and how granny can't use that to eat... well guess who started that?  The neo-con's false idol himself, Ronald Reagan.  The Reagan Administration started the policy of taking money out of the SS fund and putting it into the general fund(2).  Granted this has continued under both parties to this day, so both sides of the aisle have done onerous things to this safety net.  It's only by looking at history and analyzing the facts can we come to the truth.  The truth is beyond partisan and by cherry picking his facts based on his partisanship, Glenn Beck proves to be nothing more than a shill.  Sure the American Public needs to know about QE2 and Beck might be one of the only voices (besides Dylan Ratigan) that is telling the american people about it, but he's just using it as a tool of fear and manipulation... blah blah Weimar Republic blah blah 15 days to doom.  It's not an honest argument... it's disgusting.

The SIEU union leader made his screen, not one WALL STREET BANKER.

Anyone falling for Beck's misdirection is breeching ALL protocol of ZH, in my humble opinion. Just because someone inserts a few salient facts doesn't mean the message is productive. Becks message was counterproductive. He HID the real enemies and pointed out the fake ones. This guy is probably getting bag money from the real enemies. Just about anything on FOX will be anti union crap.  Nothing new there at all (or that some of their writers, just like at CNBC are on loan from MTV).  What is new is that someone there is actually attempting to link the fed and unions in the same conversation.  Crude, but effective as far as it goes.  The take away is that a portion of his audience will start searching the fed (perhaps some looking to see how many seats on the FOMC are filled by ACORN and the SEIU).  And perhaps a decent portion of that group will not only learn that the unions don't have reps at the FOMC, they might even learn that there is a difference between monetary & fiscal policy (or was depending on who one listens to).  And from that group a sub segment will actually see the three card monte for what it is.  Meanwhile, some FOX viewers getting a confirmation bias feeding regarding the evils of unions will forget this one segment as confirmation bias is just that and I doubt Beck won many converts in his audience to the anti union camp...

This man is disturbing and dangerous. If your IQ is over 100 and you read ZH even once a week, GB should make your skin crawl. If not, that means you're reading ZH for titillation and not learning the facts.

I wasn't going to post on this thread, because, quite frankly I'm appalled to see how many here are Beck/Limbaugh fans. . . I know I shouldn't be surprised, but I'll admit I am - I had thought ZH to be smarter, to be pointing fingers at such obvious mainstream-media-babysitters. . .

place is morphing over time, sadly - couldn't agree with your post more Fraud-esq.

I hold a lot of contempt for Glenn Beck, especially after seeing his blatant lies on economics.  His misinformation is as bad as any government outlet.  He would have done well as a statistician in the BLS.

Well there. I finally got around to watching the Beck video. Blecch.

?? But why, Tyler? This was nothing but an extra-long commercial for the bullion retailer who sponsors him. Kind of like one of those Toyota ads where they don't actually ever mention to product, but you know what it's going to be somehow.

I've heard: Glen Beck started as a bottom, now he is a top to millions, and he makes a lot of money too, this is a real American success story, Hurray for Glen Beck! I say.

I couldn't help but notice how Glenn led off the entire program bragging about Fox's ratings. Looked like he was having an orgasm at the same time. At least he's being honest about his priorities.

365 comments and not 1 about benny boy committing blatant perjury on national TV.   and some of us wonder how they can be so brazen in what they are doing.

You are making a big mistake by implying that there is only one thing wrong with Glenn Beck.
