Beck has been correct on many things, often early on . Sure he loves go over the top, that is part of his shtick. However, if it wasn't for Beck, Van Jones would still be in the Obama Mama administration, few people would know about the Muslim agenda, or how Soros is in bed with the socialists in power. Beck was too "controversial" for Fox News, who over the last two years have proven they are no different than the rest of the MSM. They are concerned with keeping the power elite in charge- regardless of whether they are a R or a D.

Don't get too excited about the lack of income tax in Texas. They make up for it by shoving it in and breaking it off with property taxes.
My house has lost almost forty thousand in value, but the check I have to write for property taxes has gone UP by almost five hundred bucks over the last three years. I now have to budget three hundred dollars a month for rent (oops, I mean tax) for my modest little paid for home.
Periodically, some yahoo in Austin proposes an income tax bill and tries to sell it by assuring us that property taxes will go down as a result. Good thing nobody believes that government will lower any taxes....ever....and the income tax bill fails each time. How long that will continue is anyone's guess.

the funniest part about prohibition was that heroin and cocaine were over the counter medications at the time, some of which were advised for (children)babies. "prohibition" was just of alcohol, the hard drugs that the pharmaceutical companies made great profit on were available to all. it's the same story, over and over again.
@knowless, the pure food and drug act of 1906 predated prohibition and was the beginning of the end for over the counter patent medicines which contained opiates and Coca-cola with cocaine in it. Prohbition lasted from 1920 to 1933. Marijuana was criminalized nationaly in 1937.
The real money isn't in legal drugs, it is in the black market drugs. Profit margins of magnitudes, a dollar worth of legal cocaine becomes a hundred dollars or more of illegal cocaine.
That is why the federal government fights so hard to keep the war on drugs going, to maintain a black market with high profit margins for those elements of our government who profit from such things. Urine testing, prison industry, police, coast guard, CIA, DEA etc.

Set up laws that allow cops to keep houses and sell them for profit, if they find someone making illegal butter at home. The possibilities are endless.

I think Beck likes Perry and purposely contrasted Perry and Paul. The main difference for Beck is that Perry unquestioningly supports Israel, while Ron Paul's answer to the Israel question was cut off, even though he was making a very good point without showing any disrespect.

I rarely listen to Beck except for on the ride home from taking my kids to school via radio. For the entire month of May every third word he said was Israel, how much we all must love Israel. But for anyone paying attention, Israel is no friend of USA. Israel is our biggest problem.

I watched this video for the first few minutes and over and over he mentions how bad Europe is. I guess his listeners don't travel much. I've recently visited Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and a few other countries. The cleanest of streets, very decent people, and definitely today in much better shape than 20 years ago (unlike in USA we have seen massive deterioration in standard of living over 20 years). In Germany you see shops filled with goods made in Germany or surrounding countries, real quality at a price--but very little made in China. Excellent food. Prices not as bad as I had expected, if you shop smart and use public transit.

I used to be a democrat till the rules committee of the party disenfranchized Florida and Michigan for changing their primary dates, but not Nevada and South Carolina which also did but polled for Obama while FL and MI were in the Clinton camp. My heart and values are liberal and progressive, but I did not and will not support Obama or his party, he simply is not qualified to be president even after a first term. That does not make me either a racist or an evil retarded republican, there is a party that at least makes no bones about who and what they are, but I just can't live like they do, keeping track of all the lies alone would drive me crazy.
But, I think way too many here oppose/hate Barry O for the wrong reasons, because he is black. Denial will get us nowhere, we all know that more people here allow racism to make their determination than actual qualities of the man. i think that most of here can stipulate to the assertion that glenn beck smells like retards. however, lets not throw out the baby with the bathwater. below, I list several important take-aways from the clip:

Whether you like Glenn or not (I do not agree with everything he says, nor do I agree with everything anyone else says for that matter), he has been sounding the alarm, exposing the greed and fraud, and encouraging self education and action, for many years. So I will stand up and say it's very nice to see Glenn get some recognition and props.
