Gold, Silver Surge At Open Of Electronic Trading

Tyler Durden's picture

As the dollar plunges (supposedly on news of that Frankenstein of a Euro treaty announced on Saturday morning and on capital repatriation in Japan) the real reason for the plunge can be found in the action of the precious metals, where both gold and silver are about to take out period highs on more imminent global fiat dilution.

In other words he is old enough to remember when Roosevelt nationalized gold.

If he lived in Europe he was born about the time the German money first went to zero. He was a baby the second time and he was 27 years old the last time.

He knows what's going down because he has seen it before. He has seen it.

So, what's it going to be, which goes bust first:?

JPMorgan because of their hugely underwater silver short.

Or Bank of Amerika because of the info released by Anonymous at 5am?

I guess, either way, it's going to be the U.S. taxpayer that pays.

Crude, copper, platinum having a bad day.

Wonder how well gold and silver can hold up.

Especially when the Nikkei futures are down 4.4%.

Could be a lot more "Risk Off" next week.

Dude.  You have a really peculiar way of looking at the world, and in that same strange way I think you may get just what you want: I see you lighting your 100 dollar-wrapped cigars with 100 dollar bills and contemplating the number of digits that must be accumulating in your fucking Ameritrade account while you warm before your firelogs of freshly-printed cash money.  You'll deserve it.

actually catfish mouth, using your own words of 3 trading days ago, you said it was "easy" to make money in the market. all one had to do was buy jpm. so why the sourpuss attitude? as we all know you always put your money where your catfish mouth is. so why fret over gold, copper, oil and platinum? you're loaded up on the "easy" money trade via jpm.

in the meantime, the old scroomer as you call him, gentleman jim sinclair sends his regards.

btw: is wti crashing when it's $100 per barrel? seems an odd way to look at a crash to me. but then again, i'm sane.

I really don't understand why you catch so many haterz here.  I do enjoy your perspective and that you keep your eye on the tape.

So do I.

Haterz, I don't want to read it, but junk away if it gives you jollies, happy to help.

actually johng, it's not hate as you call it. what some of us do is replay the very words that your dear friend robot trader says. the robot trader literally changes his point of view from post to post. i could easily list off the top of my head 15 180 degree flipflops the poster known as robot trader has made. but don't take my word for it. if you're curious do a zh search of his posts to see for yourself.

btw: it was barely a week ago that tyler durden was having fun with your dear friend robot trader re-posting some famous robot trader flip flops.

frankly, said posts devastated robot's credibility.

The only problem with Robo is he is totally inconsistent in his half naked lady picture posting.  Anyone who has been here for a while, such as yourself, knows not to take his instantaneous market outlook seriously.

true. sometimes i get caught up in the moment and respond. what amazes me is he actually has people that think he's some sort of a savvy guru, and that posting a chart that proves nothing is a clarifying point of financial insight.

Buy "common date" or "junk" U.S. silver coins at your local antique mall.  DEALS! I just bought 20 pre-1965 quarters for $5.50 each.  The melt value is $6.49 each.

The junk silver ploy is probably the best in view of a breakdown in society, but not necessarily the best for a simple deep recession.   It will take a dollar rout to make junk silver shine!   Have junk silver as well as American Silver Eagles.   Hey, what's the downside risk?

DOW futures only down 26 points at present or 0.26%!

The third largest economy in the world just blew up. Japan owns a huge chunk of U.S. debt and does a lot of trade with the U.S.

MAKE NO MISTAKE THE U.S. MARKETS (and most markets around the world) ARE NOT FREE. They go where the criminal powers that be want them to go, make no mistake about it, there is no doubt.

Again, where are you from, FMB?  I am guessing France.  I tend to think you would get your cheap French ass kicked in most parts of the U.S. with your 'winning' attitude.  But you would probably lack the balls to make your position clear, over here.  Now to see if I can find a thread on ZH that does not feature your cunt face.

forgive me if i'm wrong here but won't the "reset" happen after a big war?  the capital holders will not give up without tearing the house down.  no one wins in this scenario.  and , (for the record, i tremendously enjoy zerohedge) if we actually band together to accomplish something that will have a meaningful impact, fighting the capital holders, will we not be accused of terrorism?  meanwhile, i worry, try to scrape up cash where i can to buy silver coins, got my mossburg, and my food, and wife and young kids, and i'm waiting for something aweful to happen.  i'm sad that my children are growing up in this convoluted world.  I am sad that i did not pay closer attention when i was younger.  but i am invested in the status quo.  i run a business with my wife and we need our clients to have income so they can pay us for our service.  in a very tangible sense i need stability,  to survive, and don't we all to some degree?  the posts here seem to reflect a deeper insight into the workings of geopolitics but how do you (I) balance that with a family?

I can't help but think, over and over, there are no coincedence's. MAJOR oil leak in the Gulf.....MAJOR nuclear leaks in Japan, a country that takes pride in doing things better. I feel a major move on the horizon away from the conventional energy sources. There has been a push for some time in this direction. Obviously the goal is to create something new to grow the world, and profit the banks. New growth paradigm. We have heard pushed with Cap n tax..... Now we see the major push to "convince" the population to change. 9-11 quickly instilled fear of terrorism in the psyche of all. So much fear that privacy and liberty were quickly exchanged for security. Fear will once again be used. No coincidence here. The question will be can they hold this together, convert to new currency system perhaps, or the way it looks now just make all other countries basket cases and still emerge on top? No coincidences. Interesting to think about the possible play out. Time is a major enemy at this point. I look for an acceleration in events to move forward the needed changes. Silver is blocking their path. It is crucial that silver not get out of control.

How many ozs physical are you gonna buy if they smash it down 20-30% like they often do.   One contiuous week of holding the $35-36 level is telling me the next top won't occur until there is a "4" in front of the price.  Maybe we correct 30% from $50.
