LAST WEEK IN MAYHEM

1) Failflu v2.0 spreads in Ukraine

Last week TWIM reported that a possible new strain of influenza had broken out (or was released) in Ukraine. This turns out to be accurate, surprising even our most vocal detractors. The Ukrainian government now claims that over 960,000 people are now infected, over 48,000 hospitalized, and over 150 dead (likely a vast understatement). Our best estimate using our sources in epidemiology , infectious diseases, and weapons research is this:

A) There are one or more new flu strains circulating in Ukraine, of unknown origin.

B) These new strains are very infectious, and approximately one order of magnitude more virulent (dangerous) than the existing swine flu.

C) There are likely changes (single nucleotide polymorphisms) to one or more genes, including but not limited to HA, NA, NS1, PA, and PB2. This is probably a full-constellation of changes, whether spontaneous or man-made. Aka. The virus has been upgraded.

D) The Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of the new strains are estimated to be between 0.2% to 0.5%. Higher is possible but unlikely. In other words, The new strain may be >10x as lethal as swine flu and 2x-5x as lethal as seasonal flu. Aka. You do not want to catch this.

GENE SEQUENCES ARE NECESSARY TO EVALUATE THE NATURE OF THIS OUTBREAK.

However, the idiots at the World Health Organization (WHO) are keeping the RNA sequences a secret. They have said there are not "major changes" to the H1N1 virus in Ukraine -- but we all know it doesn't take much when it comes to viral genetics. Are these people lunkheads or are they criminals? I really have to wonder... Regardless, we clearly have a new flu strain which may be several times as lethal as seasonal flu, and has a high attack rate. The new strain also has a penchant for inducing viral pneumonia, where one's lungs fill with fluid. This is analogous to what happened in 1918, but obviously not yet on a large scale. Why is the WHO not releasing the gene sequences? Where is the lapdog corporate media? What in the hell is the CDC doing about this? And where is that backrub that Lauren promised me??

Indeed there are many questions here that require answers, and these answers are not forthcoming. Here is a news sample from Dr. Henry Niman, a very smart man who holds multiple patents on viral genetics but can't seem to comprehend the world, including governments, are corrupt.

Anyway, Here are some of Henry's latest articles:

source: http://www.recombinomics.com/whats_new.html

Fail. This news looks bad -- but it's a little academic, Henry! Let's spice this up with some exclusive TWIM Ukrainian translations of what you are not hearing in the press about this new flu in Eastern Europe:

According to Kommersant-Ukraine chief physician aid city Myron Borisevich, in five fatalities have been recorded. "In all the patients came to hospital, observed the same symptoms of disease: very high fever, a cough that does not breathe normally. This disease progresses very quickly. Now all tests sent for examination in Kyiv" - explained Borisevich

Another difficult situation prevailing in the area Drohobych region, where five people also died. As the head of the Department of Health Drohobych municipality Andrew Shekenych, unlike the city, the residents of the area flowed disease differently: "The child entered the hospital and died eight hours. One adult - a day [until death], second - for two days [until death], and two patients died on the fourth day.

As the chief doctor of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Infectious Hospital Roman Ostyak in patients with fatal observed similar symptoms: it started with a small increase in temperature - up to 37,2-37,3 0 C - and a small pokashlyuvannya [cough?]. In the second and third days appeared little cold, and the third-fifth day - cutting short of breath, after which patients became difficult to breathe. "When you transfer to respirator them virtually impossible to proventylyuvaty light" - the Ostyak, noting that the death of advancing as a result of pulmonary edema.

While the doctors do not have a single thought that is causing the disease. Chief Medical Officer of the Ternopil region Dnistryan Stephen believes that the cause of deaths is unknown viruses. Explained deputy chief health officer of the region Ninel Tsyapa all dead treated by the doctors at the fifth-sixth day after the beginning of the disease when it was already to late. "This strain of influenza is characterized by lesions of the lungs."

Oh , and this one, here's your latest update as of 4:54AM EST Monday Nov 9th 2009

"On the last day the doctors asked 2028 people, and last night was 3200 patients. We are not talking about the decline and Stabilization", - said Zoya Tsihon. Deputy Head of Regional Department of Health added that now in the intensive care unit is 76 people, including 67 adults, 5 pregnant women and 11 children. "

Obviously this is serious business. Where is the coverage? I was on this story LAST WEEK. But what is even more serious is that the corporate media is so vile and rotten, I had to break this story on an anti-corruption financial blog! Wtf! Maybe these latest developments will crash the stock markets, and I can finally experience some long awaited Shaudenfraude. On to the finance...

2) Gold breaks $1100 ; Will hallucinated computer pixels hold their value during deleveraging?

The shiny stuff breaks out over $1100... and we all know intrinsically it is worth far more , only held down by the machinations of large corrupt banks and their tentacle-minions in government. But what happens under conditions of forced deleveraging? In other words, "everything down, dollar up"? Say it happens soon. What does gold do?

This is a tough question to answer. Given that I have a projection of gold at $1200 by year's end (issued two months ago!) , I will stick to it and suggest that gold will decouple, and any underlying correlations will disappear in crisis. But it's important to consider what happens if hedge funds are forced to liquidate their make-pretend gold paper under conditions of systemic crisis. Physical tangible gold will, in the end, be the prime beneficiary -- despite any short-term fluctuations and/or claims by Elliott Wave International and Robert Prechter.

In related news, Mark Dice took to the street to try to sell a Canadian Maple for $50. This is one ounce of pure gold for the gold-bug uninitiated. Hillarity ensues along with a new level of contempt for the American public -- or at least the public of California. In my opinion, this just illustrates why California must be sold to China immediately, in exchange for debt forgiveness. The sale of California is official Project Mayhem political policy -- and will be part of the campaign platform when our sentient supercomputer runs for President in 2012.

Yeah yeah I know, there's a pyramid at the end blah blah. I don't care! Complaints will be directed to /dev/null ! Buy some gold and stop bitching!

3) Pelosi's health insurance bailout includes jail terms for Americans

Well well, Supreme Congressional Witch Nancy Pelosi is certainly living up to her reputation, with the latest information regarding the trillion dollar giveaway to the Health Insurance industry disguised as "Health Care Reform". It's bad enough trillions are being stolen by white-collar criminals who wear suits and work in tall buildings. Now if you refuse to pay the 'protection money' to these criminals, they will throw you in jail! Unbelieveable!

Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail. The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain "acceptable health insurance coverage" and who choose not to pay the bill's new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.

4) Chavez and Uribe prepare for Latin American East-West Proxy War

Hugo Chavez (Venezuela) and Alvaro Uribe (Columbia) share a moment.

Oh Chavez! When will you get your own Telemundo soap opera -- and leave poor Alvaro Uribe to set up his Columbian Predator Drone bases in peace. Maybe the CIA can mediate? Ah right, the whole death squads thing... plus, the boys in Langley fly the drones. But Hell, Christians In Action (CIA) are doing so great destabilizing Pakistan , why not expand into Columbia?

Chavez steps up Colombia rhetoric

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has urged his armed forces to be prepared for possible war with Colombia amid growing diplomatic and border tensions.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8349745.stm

US preparing for war in Latin America

An official document from the Department of the US Air Force reveals that the military base in Palanquero, Colombia will provide the Pentagon with "an opportunity for conducting full spectrum operations throughout South America" This information contradicts the explainations offered by Colombian President Alvaro Uribe and the US State Department regarding the military agreement signed between the two nations this past October 30th.

I don't think we should sell California to the Chinese. After all, it has vast amounts of productive farmland, beach front property, and beautiful national parks and forests. Instead we should sell California's Democrats to the Chinese. Democrats believe that we should be slaves to the government, so they shouldn't object to being slaves to a country that has a progressive government (with free health care) and was headed for decades by man who was on posters on the walls of many of those Democrats in their younger years, Mao Tse-Tung.

Criminal penalties

Prosecution is authorized under the Code for a variety of offenses. Depending on the level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual:

• Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.

• Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.” [page 3]

Someone please highlight for me where in HR3962 there are such fines and prison sentences for failure to comply.  Why does this project mayhem guy have to reference a letter that references HR 3962 to make his point?  The answer is that it appears not to exist in the bill.  What an a-hole for attempting such mis-information.  If I'm wrong, someone please point me in the direction of where this stuff is in the bill (i.e. page number and paragraph, section, etc...).

This is IRS tax code.  There is no section 7201 or 7203 in HR3962.  But as I thought.  There is no mention of criminal punishment in the bill.  It is a stretch to assume that it will result in criminal penalites if not complied with.

As the bill stands now I'm against it but I don't like to make B.S. up.

Title V, Subtitle A, Part 1, Subpart A, Section 501 and Part VIII, Subpart A, Section 59b. Those sections create the tax. The Internal Revenue Code creates the criminal penalties for not paying the tax as imposed by HR 3962.

I'll let you know if it results in criminal penalties as I won't be paying the tax and will be making a point of not securing qualifying coverage. From what I know, the IRS don't take kindly to folks not paying taxes levied by Congress. I have no doubt criminal penalties will ensue.

As Mad Max stated, it comes from connecting the dots.  HR3962 doesn't say it, it doesn't have to and that is where the crime is.  It's hard enough to read a bill that big but its even hard to connect the dots to the real meaning of the bill.  These are desperate times.

I don't agree with the guy selling the $50 gold coin or the Ukraine conspiracy theory but the jail time is quite true.

The bill imposes a tax on people who don't obtain acceptable insurance coverage.  This is a federal income tax.  Willful tax evasion is a crime and is routinely punished.

This isn't rocket science.  Go read all 1990 pages yourself.

I don't take much from the video where he couldn't sell a gold coin for $50.  People are jaded, how do they know it's even real.  Yes, it touches on how out of touch US citizens are to what's going on out there but it's like asking a carefully worded question.  Why confuse the issue with the coin being Canadian?

As for the Ukraine flu issue - how do you balance the arguments that the big pharm are making a killing with the flu vaccine, the government is blowing up the H1N1 way bigger than needs but YET Ukraine flu situation is being kept silent.  It's a terrible thing when conspiracy theories conflict....

I've got contacts throughout Ukraine; Kiev, Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Nikolaev and Kherson.  The following is what one told me and pretty much summarizes what my other contacts have been saying.

"There is no epidemic.  The government is lying to prevent the presidential elections taking place in January.  As of today, there are fewer cases of people dying of flu related disease than last year for the same period in Ukraine."  And provided this link:

http://zik.com.ua/en/news/2009/11/07/203625

He continued "Panic with scare tactics is exactly what the government is trying to create here.  In nikolaev, there are no signs of any disease or influenza.  I should know.  I teach many students here as well as ride the buses everyday.  Asking every student last week, what they thought about the governments cry for help, all students have told me that there is no question that the government is playing politics."

I'm going over this week, so I'll see first hand what is happening.

Wish me luck!

You're nuts to go there now even if its all hyped up to avert an election.

If they declare an epidemic, you may not be allowed to leave from the Ukraine or enter back into the US.

Consider that as well.

But in all seriousness (or is it seriosity?), I hope you are right about this. I think. I mean I think I'd prefer massive Hegelian Dialectics for psychopolitical manipulation in modern statism politics than a real outbreak. I think. Maybe.

Or maybe not. Maybe a bona fide V for Vendetta political drama is exactly what we need right now. Where's my mask anyway? I know it's around here somewhere [rummages through old cardboard boxes full of photocopied files from the local government repository library] I just need to find it and dust if off.

Hey! I just came up with an excellent idea!  A Guy Fawkes mask with a gas mask functionality built in! Or maybe it's better called a gas mask styled after a Guy Fawkes mask. Either way, you get the point.

We could even make it with custom tin foil inserts.

Seems your face and hands or any exposed parts would still be feeling the effects of the pain ray.

A quick google of 'active denial countermeasures' came up with this bit:

"Countermeasures against the weapon could be quite straightforward — for example covering up the body with thick clothes or carrying a metallic sheet — or even a trash can lid — as a shield or reflector. Also unclear is how the active-denial technology would work in rainy, foggy or sea-spray conditions where the beam's energy could be absorbed by water in the atmosphere."

It might be worthwhile to start collecting such countermeasure data and disseminating it.

Link: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ground/v-mads.htm

In a way, I am glad to see that the Active Denial I told people about years ago as it was being developed out near Kirtland AFB is now a reality on peoples' lips. Reality makes me look less kooky every day.

FYI Mark Dice
People weren't really listening to his offer, they were reacting to a person they thought was trying to scam them. Think about it, a random guy with an attitude and a camera comes up to you on the street and asks for $50 for some coin he asserts is made of gold. Sure it is..... It is real, but his social cues tell conventional people disengage and get away before you lose something.
