In the politics of global financial bullshit, one of the main players, Andrew Cuomo has _apparently_ decided to do the right thing rather than the politicially expedient (shocker!~) and continue with his prosecution of the corrupt RICO cronies at Bank of America. Hopefully this eventually will include Bernanke, Paulson, and Lewis. Will Cuomo defect to the dark side? Will the public be disappointed by the lies once again? Is a major political scandal brewing in New York? A year and a half after taking over for a disgraced Spitzer, Paterson is now at war with everyone, but most notable the New York State Budget, and now, the President. The motive, one can speculate, is to get Cuomo into the governor's post immediately if not sooner, so the AG never files any criminal charges against Ken Lewis.
2) IMF Selling One Eighth Of Its Gold Reserves, Will "Safeguard Against Disruption Of The Gold Market"
Looking out upon the global bullion market, we absorb the usual lies from the media outlets (shamwow holds 30x its weight in lies) that all these contracts are actually backed by physicial metal. Is it just me, or is it every time gold reaches important technical levels, they trot out the IMF to spook the bugs?
In the usual mechanism of scare tactics provided by the central banks (CBs) against the gold bugs (GBs) , the IMF has once again threatened to SELL GOLD. OH NOES!!! IMF WILL SELL GOLD!!!!! Yes be very afraid or something. The IMF is going to ruin your fun. So strike while the iron is hot, well prior to formal default on Chinese OTC commodity derivatives.

Great post. I was watching that crap and it makes NO sense. YOU DO NOT destablize an enemy by simply killing people in a building or on a subway. You target your enemy at it's AUTHORITY. You do not take a strong enemy and kill it's citizens and make it all riled up to hurt you. That is absolutely the biggest bunch of crap I've ever seen. If you tell me of a plot to simultaneously attack say 12 IRS buildings I would think it was a real terroist attack to the state as it would specifically damaget the governments ability to collect revenues. If you tell me of an attack to destroy a huge drug lord that operates in the US i'd believe it because if the government was corrupt then it would damage it's ability to garner slush funds.
Talking about killing people on a train with no connection or specific importance to any industry or activity in america IS NOT A FOREIGN ATTACK. Because it doesn't follow any principles of "unlimited warfare" that is engaged when a smaller weaker adversary wants to defeat a larger stronger adversary but is unable to d it in a head to head confrontation. That ENTIRE thing makes no logical sense, no religious sense, no tactical sense, no economic sense, there just is NO SENSE in it at all.

Boomers 60 and over are last on the list for vaccine. They supposedly have built immunity since 1957 when a similar flu strain emerged.
Or perhaps the gubmint is lying. Kicking out this group early in large numbers will save the SSTF billions.
that 1957 number is only valid for individuals that were living in the USA it does not consider the many that have emigrated. also the bommers immunity system has weakened over time to claim that they have the antibodies to fight this is terribly optimistic.
Immune systems are radically different based on blood type. Type O's usually create kill the cell antigens rapidly and keep doing it for a long time until they generate the necessary lymphocytes. Type A's usually leave things alone for some time and work more on generating the necessary T2 and T4 lymphocytes. Type Bs do as well. Type AB's are sort of at a real disadvantage because their body doesn't fight off invaders very well as it mostly thinks its food and leaves it alone until it starts causing alot of problems. Swine flu kills by cytokin storm so type 0's are going to have the hardest problem resisting having a hyperactive immune overload.
Asian countries tend to have higher populations of A and B blood types so they were less affected by swine flu than other countries. Places like Thailand that have been reinjected with O genese from the spanish would be a little harder hit even though 0 is recessive and only would give a 25 percent gene influx.

I'm doing a little digging on this end. A point of interest is in light of all the Euro strength, are those E. European currencies pegged to the Euro still trading within their bands and are any poised to break out? Those countries (lookin at you Latvia) are definitely a weak link in this global economy so all that bears watching.

All Euro-pegged currencies are well behaved even with the surge in EURUSD. But Latvia's currency really stands out as the most volatile of the whole bunch. After the Lat strengthened when they got their IMF bailout Juneish, it has weakened considerably v. the EUR. The Lat is now reaching for the lower end of their trading band. Just extrapolating from the EUR's move in the last two weeks, if the EUR rises 3% higher v. the Dollar to about 1.52 then the Lat will most likely challenge their band.
According to Ed Steer, the bullion bank short positions on both silver and gold are officially insane. Especially silver, now at 50% of total annual production.
Impossible to cover should a big buyer emerge and demand delivery.

You need to chill with this. Posting a half baked affadavit about something that isn't even being prosecuted is kind of lame.
It is just some guy's affidavit. Its not a "case". If he wanted a case, he shold consider getting swine flu, getting better (to give him standing to sue, or at least bolster that argument), and file a qui tam or RICO lawsuit.
