Unfortunately for CNBS and other pundits, the deflation whale appears to have landed, er, beached itself upon the unholy Keynesian sand. That is, we are seeing monster like yield curve flattening, continuing our paradox for the past several months. Is the bond market wrong, or is the stock market wrong? ZH suggests stock market is wrong -- what with the > 100 P/E ratios and all! Is there any sanity here, or is Yuri Bezmenov's demoralization of America complete? If so we can expect civil breakdown within 18 months. Good thing we've stocked up on whale blubber! To power our lamps and what not!@

2) Crash/Collapse Dead Ahead Say Faber, Rogers, Dent and Celente
Though we continue to see most mainstream analysts talk the bull market talk, it looks as if the bull may be in trouble, especially if individual investors realize what all of the big boys talking their books already know - that the economic fundamentals are simply horrific and the markets are already pricing in GDP growth of over 5% for the next 4 quarters. Considering that GDP grew at 0.7% in the 2nd quarter, that seems highly unlikely. Some estimates also suggest the the P/E of the S&P 500 right now is at unprecedented levels of over 100!

4) InkStop Closes All Stores, Workers Stunned
All employees have been laid off. To make matters worse, workers did not get their paychecks Friday. On top of that, they also found out that InkStop didn't pay their health insurance premiums for the month of September. Employees just learned that their coverage actually ended August 31.
The Cleveland-based company has 163 stores nationwide.

5) JP Morgan engages in vast fraudulent activity ; what else is new
Yes, JP Morgan, aka US Federal Reserve in drag , once again proves they are the KING!! More like the King of fraud, corruption, and lies, only to be matched by their fellow henchmen at Goldman Sachs, more commonly known as Vampire Squid. How long does this sort of corruption continue? I suppose we are just going to wait for it all to collapse then wonder how the hell this happened. Maybe we will just blame China when it all comes crashing down. Just to back up the assertions here -- I have taken the liberty of an excursion down the memory hole to September of last year.
Remember when Lehman went bust? Well, well, there was a little transfer of $138 billion that September 15th 2008 morning to cover Lehman counterparties, for which JP Morgan was reimbursed by the Federal Reserve. $138bn! If this isn't fraud, I don't know what is. I bet your glad to see this little reminder on Zero Hedge , Jamie! You better coke yourself up this week, because we are going to expose this vast criminal enterprise and your networks of affiliates in government and Wall St.

1) DHS Doles Out Fed Cash to Deploy Military LRADs in U.S. Cities
Last week we covered the G20 -- in which we reviewed how the national guard kidnapped a US citizen off the street, military LRADs were deployed for the first time ever, and the Constitution was more or less suspended for the benefit of a small group of incredibly corrupt political elites.
Well it looks like these elites expect further unrest, as the domestic Stasi (cough I mean DHS) apparatus is directed inward towards US citizens. War is a continuation of state policy, and now state policy is heating up regarding weapons to be used against the citizens, particularly domestic dissidents.

The 500,000 troops are US and Afghan combined troop numbers, not US alone. If I remember corectly his report calls for roughly 400,000 Aghan forces and 100,000 US.
400,000 Afghan forces on a population of 15 million means you need about 1 male Afghan out of 20 (assuming women don't fight). Also assuming only men of fighting age and you'll see 1 in 10 adult males in battle... probably against another 1 in 10 on the Taliban side.
It's never going to work.
It would also greatly increase afghan killing efficiency just by providing a more target rich environment. Small forces spend less time "self defensing" while large forces get bogged down trying to use all those resources to protect all those resources. Self defence is great when you are home with so much civilian support. But when you try to do it in another country it becomes more logisitics than tactics and any tactical approach you try gets drowned out and co-opted into logistical strategies.
There are about 23000 employees working for the institutions of the European Union. That is not what you call a "massive bureaucrazy" when you consider that there are 500 billion people living in EU countries. Big cities like New York or London have much bigger administrations.
The number seems to vary a lot depending on the source. Open Europe for instance claims 170,000 people now work for EU institutions:

Anyway, problems back here are going to trigger a withdrawl both due to the expense and a feeling of isolationism and need to "man the ramparts" back home.
It's insanity! We only have 1.4 million active personel. I dont' see how they can pull this 500k Afghan war off w/o TONS of expensive mercs or a draft. So hopefully Congress has some sense and simply does not fund this sort of boneheaded adventure!
I agree I really dont see how this can go forward. Alexander the Great only held on to Afghanistan for three years! Hopefully these Trilateral idiots can see which way the wind is blowing and won't try to take the American public for another ride. Who knows, maybe they are that stupid!

Perhaps the intent is to set up the U.S. military for a coup de grace. The only parctical way into that place is by air. The troops can be moved in over time but they can't be quickly moved out once they are there and if we were to lose air superiority there(heresy, I know) they couldn't be moved at all.
Perhaps a 500,000 person request is cover for an Iran buildup or domestic crowd control.
Let's hope they don't drain the US of all active military personnel overseas and leave the homeland vulnerable to some "global" police entity.
