Goodbye $44

Tyler Durden's picture

The real beauty about waging a two front war (keeping gold from hitting the barrage of $1,500 limit spot orders; and silver from passing a dollar a day) means that Comex cartel has to pick its fights. Today gold loses for now, as the $1,500 spot (but not futures) price is safely defended. The same can not be said for silver. $44 was just taken out. And those who actually wish to buy American Eagles can do so at the low, low price of $47.32 on Monex.

Even though I worry about a correction (see 1975 in gold and silver), I worry more about holding (even temporarily) FRN's. Although FRN's might stage a rally, the long term trend is down and a really sharp down could basically occur overnight. Follow Jesse Livermore's advice: "the big money I made by identifying a big trend and just sitting tight" (or something to that effect)...

Wow. I recall coming here and being "talked into" putting what would have been 401k contribs into buying physical silver... At the time silver was like $27. No broker in the world can get me this type of return. Well ZHers, thanks for steering me wrong. Yes wrong - you all should have insisted I liquidate my entire K for PM!!! (and some of you did!). But I am still a p*ssy, afraid to deal with all the penalties and taxes. Also afraid of a deflationary bout, but I do know that long term PM is the place to be...

$44 - DAMN!

One roll of silver eagles almost worth one shiny gold eagle.  No rolls to be had on Ebay under $1,000 now.  You can get them for around $48 still if you are willing to go with at least a monster.

Sadly, I no longer even make 1 silver eagle an hour at my job now.  Now that I think about it, I made more than an ounce of silver an hour back when I was a bus boy as a kid.

Now I'm sad.  Luckily, I just remembered how many silver eagles I have.

There's no inflation, though.  The bernank said so.  I always just put $20 in my gas tank so the higher gas prices don't affect me, at least.

Like I said, the faster they raise margin requirements, the faster the price will go up.

Because all the overleveraged "doomsday" traders, CIGA nutcases, and GATA action junkies who constantly play the futures markets and get killed will finally be wiped out, and their positions will be snapped up for cash by more universities, endowment funds, etc.

Are there that many small specs left?  I learned not to play the futures the hard way but at the time I learned that, my broker said then that everyone had been wiped out.  The small specs have been creamed 3 or 4 times since this bull started.  Maybe some are late to the ball but I think there can only be masochists left trading futures.

It only has to double from here to reach it's true value in dollars. Unfortunately the dollar is being debased so quickly by the time it hits $90 it will have to double again to catch up. Then it will have to tripple to $540 since the rate of dollar devaluation curve will continue to out pace the rise of silver.

As part of spring cleanup I took some old copper submersible pump wire that had been laying around behind my shop for a few years to my local recycle guy. Ahead of me was a woman in a high-end Hummer with a little utility trailer on the back end. She was pretty ratty looking - for a Hummer driver. The Hummer was nice and shiney though. After she unloaded and left I backed my 1998 GMC truck up and as we were unloading my wire the guy told me that she comes in once a week or so with scrap metal she digs out of the dumpsters behind Walmart. For gas money, she tells him.

Anybody looking for a metric on how we're doin'?

...fear not. Shall we not Stand fast and do no harm? Do we have a choice, when we buy into the lie established by fools, what in the wide world of sport do we think we are doing? Are we tempted to think we are not now all drunken silver whores enslaved by Chairsatan's BTFD Cup, filled with the labor of the poor? Do we not have an account to reckon with my friend? The short term gains realized by these criminal bailout fools brought forth the revelation of an empty silver platter on the poors table. Funny vid though, that boy is the perfect image of contempt and completes the silver parable.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTcoEXpcZWM

P.S. I get kicked out of churches for informing them that they are ''licensed whores'' and telling them 501c3 is also a claim of dominion reserved for beasts. If we do not end the Fed and kill this tax system and restore order by establishing a commerce tax only system, so we are free and independent, we will never sustain liberty and justice for all, we will continue to self devour and claim our own unequal image. Right now we have no mercy, we have law that declares the host of the law to be in breach of the law. The host lives in agreement with contempt.

From the so called religous orders, to the secular rule of thumb, we are as pathetic as Babylon is fallen. You do not have to agree in Christ to understand the principle revelation of mercy but, you do not have a choice, ever knee shall bow to the Truth in the end. Shall we not rise from our knees now and stand fast against the offer of temptation or shall we, as you put it, go screw ourselves in the 50 foot long ''silver'' closet like a fucknut?

Silver at $50 is WAY undervalued.  Remember just to reach the same high it hit in 1980 we would need to see $150 per oz.  And that is using the governments fake inflation numbers.  $150 per oz just to match a three decade old high!  Now do we want to talk about how much Silver does not exist compared to the 80's?  Or the gigantic short positions STILL held by JPM & HSBC while the CFTC circle jerks themselves (save Chilton)

Or the exploding worldwide demand for Silver?  Or the worldwide ongoing financial crisis that keeps getting worse?  Or the FACT that hardly anyone owns Silver?  If 1% of total global assets are in Gold, you know that percentage is smaller for Silver.

So who are these top callers kidding?  Silver dribbled for over three decades in the single digits per oz!!  I don't care if we see a $10 'correction' overnight, I've got paper dollars on the sidelines waiting to BTFD!  The fact of the matter is that the fundamentals behind Silver are golden.  And I wouldn't sell at this undervalued price for paper paper dollars, not by a long shot.  And while I like these single dollar up days, THIS IS NOTHING compared to what is comming!

In the summer of '09 a friend died, and I ended up consoling his wife a lot.  She was surprised to find boxes of silver eagles hidden all around his office and shop.  She wanted to know how to sell them.  I managed to talk her into holding onto them.  I tried to get her to invest some of the stock portfolio he left in more silver.  I had her convinced, but her 30 year old son told her I was just one of those conspiracy weirdos and it was just a fantasy, nothing would ever happen to silver.  she still has the boxes of eagles, but recently, she told me there was a big bag of dimes that she found, and she just rolled them up and took them to the bank to deposit.  She said $500 worth or so.  I asked her if they were silver, and she said they were just dimes that her husband had saved, since his death they had been using them to play poker with.  I asked her about the dates on the dimes and she had no idea.  I didn't even try to explain it to her.

I don't know anyone who has silver or gold except for 3 people I have convinced over the last few years, and this widow.  Everybody else looks at you like you're crazy when you bring it up.

22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

32  For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
