What do the quotes all have in common?

The great Americans who said them would be considered terrorists today.

Specifically, according to Department of Defense training manuals, protest is considered "low-level terrorism". And see this, this and this.

An FBI memo also labels peace protesters as "terrorists".

Indeed, police have been terrorizing children, little old ladies and other "dangerous" people who attempted to protest peacefully.

And a 2003 FBI memo describes protesters' use of videotaping as an "intimidation" technique, even though - as the ACLU
points out - "Most mainstream demonstrators often use videotape during
protests to document law enforcement activity and, more importantly,
deter police from acting outside the law." The FBI appears to be
objecting to the use of cameras to document unlawful behavior by law
enforcement itself.

The Internet has been labeled
as a breeding ground for terrorists, with anyone who questions the
government's versions of history being especially equated with
terrorists.

The government is also using anti-terrorism laws to keep people from learning what pollutants are in their own community. See this, this, this and this.

Claims of "national security"
are also used to keep basic financial information - such as who got
bailout money - secret. That might not bode for particularly warm and
friendly treatment for someone persistently demanding the release of
such information.

The state of Missouri tried to label
as terrorists current Congressman Ron Paul and his supporters, former
Congressman Bob Barr, libertarians in general, anyone who holds gold,
and a host of other people.

And according to a law school professor, pursuant to the Military Commissions Act:

Anyone who ... speaks out against the government's policies could be declared an "unlawful enemy combatant" and imprisoned indefinitely. That includes American citizens.

The Founding Fathers, Supreme Court justices and presidents quoted above would vigorously protest.

Note: Government apologists are also eager to label
anyone "taking a cynical stance toward politics, mistrusting
authority, endorsing democratic practices, ... and displaying an
inquisitive, imaginative outlook" as worthy of a Stalinist trip to the
insane asylum.  I guess the famous Americans quoted above were not only
terrorists, but they were also crazy.

I have no debt (other than taxes) that carries interest.  I own my home & cars outright.  

I don't buy things I can't afford to pay cash for.

But I pay for nearly everything over $20 with credit cards that pay me 1-3% cash back (not reward points for gift cards, flight miles, etc. but cash).  I pay those CC's in full every month.

BofA, Citi & JPM pay me to use their cards!

 

I think I'm being prudent & thrifty - once considered admirable traits

 

Nowadays, those same attributes could get me labeled an "economic terrorist".

The Banks are not paying you anything. You are paying 2% to 4% higher prices to the merchants to cover the fees the Banks charge them.

You are paying the Banks to skim money from every transaction you make.

Stick with cash as much as possible, it fucks up the system. All your credit card transactions go  in the giant database, added to your profile. It ain't worth the "free" points, its just an enticement to put your neck into the noose.

 

I liked the rest of your  plan however, debt free is mighty feeling indeed.

I don't mind the PTB monitoring my regular purchases of gas, groceries, appliances, etc.  It just adds to the "data noise".

 

There are certain things I always pay for in cash;)  & if, in the rare instance, I can get a discount by paying cash for merchandise or service, I do so.

That may well be your solution but I can assure you that there are many, very busy people actively working for reduction of government size and spending in addition to removing the people from government (Both elected and otherwise) who support postions in conflict with this mission of saving our home.

Great examples of the injustice we potentially face today.  I never saw the Minister Lennox Yearwood video before.  In this case, its not just about speaking out.  Onlookers shouted, but basically stood by.  If I ever witness such an event, I will fight back, even it means catching a beating myself.

Spot on, spot on.  We will eventually turn into a 21st century version of Nazi Germany, if we don't stop this.  You can almost say that our govt. both state and especially federal has become a criminal enterprise of sorts.  And what happens in criminal govt's is eventually they become dictatorships and then implode.
