and Barney was so complimentary to Dr. Paul during the hearings (watch BF find a way to scuttle this)
false praise from this drag queen....
I hate to be deuche that kisses ass but I gotta say I say TD's and ZH's influence in all of this newfound effort to rediscover the concept of accountability in the magial world of world finances.
The bill is all gums and no teeth. And, by the time any 'law enforcement' officer(s) of the US Government finally gets around to "looking" at the books, they wiil be paid handsomely to overlook selected items. There won't be much to look at which hasn't been errased or moved to a "secure" facility and labeled "National Security Classified".
"Nothing is going to change my world" sayth the Beatles.
Nice...a handy friends of iniquity list!
Gee, watt voted against it....who would have seen that coming?Such a servant he is.
Paul-Grayson 2012 (the libertarian party that is)
Grayson is a man that said Republicans' plans for seniors was to die quickly because they don't support the public option health care boondoggle. Not exactly libertarian.
Grayson is also a pie-in-the-sky investor who got ponzi'd.
The article claims he was running some money in offshore Cook Islands accounts as well.
http://www.clickorlando.com/news/20007006/detail.html
We beat this issue to death two weeks ago and Grayson is clean.
Grayson is clean? Compared to Ted Stevens and Rangel he may be somewhat clean.
+1,000,000
Barney you muther fcuker... How this guy stays in office is a testament to the stupidity of this nation. Where does this two faced liar get off insulting anyone... Good God Massachusetts!!! You should be ashamed!!!
No doubt.
Oh believe me,we are...I just wish he was in my congressional district so I could work to vote him out of office. He is a professional scumbag.
Most professional scumbags would be insulted by that comment.
Massachusetts left Ted Kennedy in office for nearly 50 years. If that didn't shame them, nothing will.
We are. Barney's not in my district, but Capuano is. Capuano is also looking to fill Kennedy's Senate seat, but he just lost my vote.
Whole lotta YAY !
lol. you must be a bond trader
"If we open all of the discussions, the deliberations, the transactional gives and takes, what we will do is scare off capital because other governments will not deal with our Fed," Watt said.
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Panel-sets-fees-for-big-firms-apf-81073372...
Mr. Watt, if you can't get someone to do business with you without lying to them, you shouldn't be in business. Have some pride.
NC has itself a new Democratic governor who is going to keep Watt's GERRYMANDERED district as is...Sadly, this guy doesn't represent the narrow band of people up I85...but the banking interests at the far southern end. His district encompases some of the poorest areas of Charlotte and points north....y'all should know better.
I really cannot believe Watt said this in public. If I met him in person tomorrow, I would have to ask if he really said this.
I would point out the following:
1) The US dollar is the world reserve currency, foreign central banks really do not have any choice but to work with our central bank in currency swaps or interventions.
2) Sound money will be much more effective at attracting foreign capital.
Also, I would ask to what he is referring to when he says scare off capital? Is he talking about purchases of Treasuries? or other investment inflows. Specifically what flow of funds is he referring.
Barney Frank, you f*ckin' worm!
Quickly Big "O" push out the GM IPO before this gets pushed through congress. You have to get it out quickly or this whole thing is going to turn into a giant cluster#uck
Yeah right, other central banks won't deal with the worlds largest ecomony.

Thanks, easier to pick out the 26 traitors.
I hope those who vote in their districts remember these corrupt cowards as those who enabled the stealing of our children's wealth.
Since Barney Frank will never have children he doesn't see a problem with this. Government Pig.
Being from the deep south, i notice only 2 traitors, Watt(sc) and Green (tx)
Not every state voted!!! Maryland is absent.
How about a list of cowards?
the Arizona invertebrates were also hiding under the desk.
I think this vote was in the house finance committee. My state does not have any reps. in this committee therefore there is no votes from them.
the Nays should be convicted of treason. How can you Nays do this to your country? The Nays should all be exported to Zimbabawe where you will fit in nicely.
Like I've been saying, Barney is just a two faced drama queen. I don't hold the nay vote against Maxine because we all know she is a retard. Everyone else who voted nay deserves to lose their seat based on this vote alone.
Props to Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez because she did the right thing. She should have been appointed to the Senate to fill Hillary's empty seat but Chuckie wanted someone he could control.
I was curious about the party affiliation of those voting against the amendment, so here it is:
Gwen Moore (D), Shelley Moore (R), Al Green (D), Mary Jo Kilroy (D), Charles Wilson (D), Carolyn Maloney (D) Gregory Meeks (D), Gary Ackerman (D), Brad Miller (D), Melvin Watt (D), Emanuel Clever (D), Keith Ellison (D), Stephen Lynch (D), Michael Capuano (D), Barney Frank (D), Dennis Moore (D), Andre Carson (D), Joe Donnelly (D), Bill Foster (D), Melissa Bean (D), Luis Gutierrez (D), Ron Klein (D), Jim Himes (D), Joe Baca (D), Gary Miller (R), Maxine Waters (D).
Two Republicans and the rest Democrats. All I can say is WTF? Maxine Waters voted against it? Makes me wonder if this bill has a chance if Obama says "no".
Yes, and many of the Democrats who voted against it are black. I guess they were backing their main man (Obama) and screwing their own constituents who will, in the end, pay the biggest price for the FED's destruction of the dollar.
It appears the two republicans you had on your list voting nay both actually voted for the Bill: http://www.ronpaul.com/2009-11-19/audit-the-fed-amendment-passes-43-26/
That would mean every republican voted for the Bill, and just some sleazeball Dems voted against. The dems who voted for ought to be applauded for doing right by the people. The others- well, they can all rot in hell for betraying the American people.
Yes, it is something that they are selling their own people out the most, given the high unemployment rate among the black people. Don't they realize it is the very institution they are trying to protect that causes this gross injustice?
....aaaand the answer to that would be: no, they don't. Apparently people in Congress are woefully ignorant of economics and monetary concepts.
Interesting -- since the reason given for the delay in voting for the entire bill was that the Black Caucus had some issues to discuss with Frank.
oh come on tyler. they forgot about the male page prostitution ring barney was running out of his congressional office back in the day.....and they will forget this too, i am sure.
i haven't forgotten....for those who have
forgotten, the s&l crisis of the late 1980s
yielded a bumper crop of financial and sexual
porn the most egregious perpetrator of which (besides
the piece of shit who ran indymac into the
ground) was larry king - porn master extraordinaire....
larry was an officer of franklin credit union
which was raided by the fbi c. 1988 which hauled off
a mountain of porn and pictures of kids who
had been abducted all around the midwest including
boys town in good old warren buffet's home town.... the
main job of king was to embezzle money for his
extavagant lifestyle and fund the kidnappings....
these mostly boys were brain washed and sent to
washington to service leading politicians such
as george bush, jack kemp, barney frank, and loads
of other notables and not so notables....
catherine austin fitts speaks about the kemp
perversion....i had personal contact with a
high ranking bureaucrat from the democrat party
who confirmed related escapades going back to the
carter years and with which he had first hand witness (he was a participant)....his related escapades were
rampant homosexualtiy among powerful and very public
politicians largely republicans but also democrats....
one of barney's frequent slaves was
able to escape and eventually filed suit against
larry king in federal court and won.....barney frank was named
as one of his frequent "customers" - forced and
underaged of course.....
craig spence - republican lobbyist - committed "suicide" after the washington
times ran a story about naked romps through the
white house with these kids....this story was quickly squelched
but absolutely true as paul bonaccio testified....
the attorney handling the lawsuit was john
decamp who was a very respected republican
politician in nebraska....
the sex slaves were able to place daddy bush
at these sex parties....the sad thing is that
the operation still runs today....all of those
kids who were on milk cartons in the 70s/80s
were abductions by this extremely sophisticated
and well run sex ring....
i HATE barney frank for what he did to those kids....
i hate even looking at that evil fuck...i hate
every single one of those self righteous
politicians who has destroyed the lives of so
many innocent kids and most though not all were
republicans....(i am a very former reagan
republican - but no more and never again will
i vote for democrat or republican....ever)
http://www.franklincase.org/
many go around talking about who great ronald reagan was. let me tell you. he was a communist out in california and his jewish chicago mobster friends got together and decided that since his movie career was blowing majorly they could somehow use him in politics. so they thought up the idea of making him a conservative, so the conservative ronald reagan was born. this can all be read in the book , "supermob" by russo. reagan met some of the men who would help him later in life while he ran errands for them when he used to hang around the pool hall below his apartment when he when he was a young man. he followed the chicago mobsters out to LA when they decided to move out there and start the movie industry etc. he was entirely bought and paid for by the zionist lobby, aka, the jewish chicago mob or whatever you want to call it. he was a actor pure and simple. it was all a big act and so many people bought into it. there are 3 states that the jewish mob pretty well run and that is california, arizona and nevada.....ronald reagan was nothing when he went to hollywood and they made him what he was and they got him elected to the presidency, plain and simple. he was their boy from start to finish. how these men can live their lives based upon lies is beyond my comprehension but so many of them do. the bush family also comes to mind.
awesome conspiracy theory, (yawn).
Yeah right, other central banks wont't deal with the world's largest economy.

dipshit al green from houston. about as useless as tits on a bore hog and always has been. geez...maybe the black caucus is doing God's work? :)
Unbelievable, unprecedented, and I think I just shed a tear.
Grayson has a lot of hatred, unfortunately. He kind of detracts from the libertarian flair quite a bit. Does he resonate with the far left? Yes, but in the type of way that just drums up votes and money for the establishment Democrats.
Ron Paul is TOTALLY different.
but that video, btw, he nailed my feelings EXACTLY in the second half of the video!
What? Do you mean Grayson has some anger? I'm not far left and he resonates with me just fine. You're either for crooks or against them. Where are you?
ad hominem
The main question I have is: but how reliable is Grayson?
I guess we'll find out shortly...
not very. another grandstanding egomaniac at best and a trojan horse at worst.
Despite Grayson's faults, he was absolutely instrumental in getting the Dems to co-sponsor the Audit the Fed Bill. Without Grayson, this would likely have been a Republican bill and never made it through the House at all. Grayson spoke with about every Dem Congressman he could urging them to support a "libertarian" bill. They wouldn't have touched a Ron Paul bill with a 10-ft pole otherwise.
Since when does accountablitiy mean "libertarian"???
Paul and Grayson are a perfect combo.
Paul is a soft spoken intellectual where as Grayson is a hard nosed and outspoken. With Grayson working with Ron Paul, there is a hope that Grayson can help Ron Paul accomplish what he's wanted for some time.
Thank you for pointing that out to those who were under the impression that grayson was a libertarian.
Outstanding work, Tyler and ZH, outstanding. Like being there.

While everybody seems to think that the dollar decline is due to fed actions and carry trade, they seem to forget that it has been going on for over 8-10 years now. Granted, last year currency swap and current carry trade is contributing to that decline. But that was not the reason for the last almost decade of dollar decline. How about trade deficit?how do you expect the dollar to hold its value while the country is a net importer and huge debtor at the same time?I think dollar will continue to depreciate even if fed brings interest rates to equality with other major industials,if for nothing, but for the continous trade deficit(albeit with a less vengenace due to the fact that trade deficit has been cut in half). So where is the balance?YOu don't want strong dollar which might only expand the trade deficit and export whatever little left of industry. And at the same time, you don't want a spiraling down dollar which might lead to hyperinflation and bring the country to Zimbawean level. Anybody with a reasnable DXY modelling for the us might get a Nobel prize(lol).
Grayson Paul 2010
Barney Frank is a criminal. He ran with his gay lover a brothel out of their apartment but does not get in trouble.
no, anon, he didn't run a brothel. his boyfriend was a fi dolla ho. we got bigger things to worry about. barney's real offense is that he's controlled by the bankstas.
Copy that.
Wish we still had Spitzer around. Was he gagged or what? I couldn't believe he stepped down 'cause of a fi gran ho.
Who cares? This news is immaterial. Did you guys hear Oprah is going to end her show? - Mr. Sarcastic
It is about time.
I am sure all of the people who voted "YAY" to audit the fed in this vote will be blasted by lobbyists and the fed will hire a bunch more people to go after them so in true voter activisim I thought to make it a point that those who live in these states (and most certainly districts) to....MAKE SURE TO CALL AND THANK THE BELOW LIST OF PAID OFF POLITICIANS FOR THE TOTAL ANNIHILATION OF OUR MIDDLE CLASS, OUR SOVERIEGNTY AND CONSTITUTION.
I hope and pray the locals pick up the ball and make sure than none of these people EVER see another day in office after the next election cycle.

Thanks TD and ZH. And thanks to Reps. Paul and Grayson. Another step in the right direction. Miles to go before we rest, miles to go before we rest.
I'm tired of this party line bullshit and feel, hope that the people, remember them, rise up and vote these clowns out of office. Barney is a disgrace, to this day he swears he had nothing to do with the whole subprime, when he's recorded on tape as a major player.
Furthermore, I saw a democrat, don't recall whom, say that if a republican submitted the SAME health bill the democrats are going to pass, it would not get a single democrat vote! bullshit
"Give me control over a nation's currency and I care not who makes its laws."
Baron M.A. Rothschild
Republican ...Democrat....it doesn't make a damn bit of difference...you will find anyone who votes against this bill will be in key positions of power and they will be have been there for a long time. As long as the fed can control these few positions it doesn't matter how the majority vote...now the momentum is so strong I am afraid they will crash the market in short order.....
I thought Capuano was one of the good ones (at least based on the questions he asked in previous hearings). Anyone know much about him?
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/11/19/panicked-about-jobs-house_n_364...
A bloc of African American House Democrats, angry and worried that not enough is being done about high unemployment by the administration, forced the postponement of a much-anticipated vote Thursday on comprehensive financial regulation reform.
The Financial Services Committee had finished hearing amendments around 3 p.m. and recessed, planning to return at 4 for a final vote on the package. But during the break, some of the Democrats on the committee pigeonholed Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) and told him they wouldn't vote for the bill because of the deepening problem of unemployment in their districts.
The administration/Fed is funnelling money to the big financial companies instead of projects that could put people to work, so they vote against exposing what they are up to? Makes perfect sense to me.
That is what is so stupid - they don't get it. It is the Fed that is CAUSING the high unemployment.
The Fed is pursuing strategies today that are meant to recapitalize the banks, unemployed serfs be DAMNED.
Only after the banks are recapitalized (which could take years) will the Fed worry about unemployment.
Think about it - are higher or lower house prices good for the working class? Wouldn't the working class be better off if foreclosures were allowed to happen and money was spent renovating these houses, instead of current owners letting them go to crap?
I could go on, but the bottom line is the Fed's policies today are hurting, not helping, the employment situation.
oh they get it...they just think the constituents in their districts don't.
now it's up to the people in those districts to prove them wrong.
Actually I doubt they do get it. If you can believe Ron Paul's book, he goes on about how few people in Congress have any familiarity with what the Fed does, how money is created, basic economic principles like inflation, etc...
Add on to that, I think many citizens who are hardcore Democrats will tend to go along with someone like Barney Frank just because he's a key Democrat. At least that's the sense I'm getting.
Please go on.
I supported Grayson in his recent fundraiser and urge you to do likewise. Also, kudos go out to my representative, Jim Gerlach, a thoughtful, principled man who is running for governor of Pennsylvania. Thank God there are a few willing to stand up and be counted as against elitism, crooks and the Federal Reserve.
Oh, and Barney Frank is a succubus.
If they shut down the Fed what will Janet Yellen do for a living?? Just trying to think ahead here. All these Fed presidents what will happen? Where will they go to get free money if they don't work for an organization that prints it.
These folks can't work, they don't know how!! This would be like kicking a first grader out on the streets and telling them to make it on their own.
Shutting the Fed down would just be sad when you think about all the folks they would have to let go that have no idea how to fend for themselves and make a living.... scary times ahead.
What about all the useless economists who are living off the Fed's tit, who they roll out with BS economic theories supporting the Fed everytime they get in trouble? What would those folks do?
~17,000 people employed by the 12 reserve banks. (they must have felt the pinch of the recession, planning to lay off all of 700 tax-eaters in this years budget)
~1000 people employed by Fed Res IT and Office of Employee Benefits
~2,000 by the Board of Governors
You'd think with 20,000 people they would at least have a clue, apparently not.
My critter voted "yay" I am happy to say. Interestingly, he is a freshman and is already number 3 on the FIRE donation list; obviously they are going after him big time right off the bat. I emailed him to thank him for his courageous vote and let him know that I will watch every vote of his in regards the banking, wall street fiasco.
These congress-critters need to know that WE ARE WATCHING and we will remember their votes when election time comes!
We will are also sending money to the people that vote against the Fed's interests!
Congresswoman Velazquez, muchas gracias.
mr. meeks, you just proved, beyond a reasonable doubt, that junior gotti would make a more honorable representative to his district than you. get ready for the goomba revenge next november.
Today was not a good day for the oligarchy. We are getting closer to the 1/2 trillion. Bernanke is toast.
But why Maxine Waters who in one of the hearings kept on repeating GS name(as a bad vilain) many times?what happened to her in the interim?does she think that if the FED is not audited, all minorities will be employed by GS and other wall street firms?
You are overthinking this. Maxine Waters (and Gwen Moore D-WI) are really just morons. It isn't more complicated than that.
Jim Himes a rep from CT who voted "nay" is a former Goldman Sachs banker.
Brad Miller gets a nastygram tomorrow.
I'm sure I'll get the chance to write David Price a letter when this bill goes to the full house for a vote.
Maxine Waters' husband is a stockholder and former director of OneUnited Bank, and the bank's executives were major contributors to her campaigns. In September 2008, Waters arranged meetings between U.S. Treasury Department officials and OneUnited Bank, so that the bank could plead for federal cash. It had been heavily invested in Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, and its capital was "all but wiped out" after the U.S. government took them over. The bank did secure $12 million in Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) money.[25][26] The matter is currently being investigated by the House Ethics Committee.[27]
thought she had stock in it too
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123682571772404053.html
unrelated, the story below has missed much of publicity, still it's rather "fascinating", WFC & others were selling their structured products claimed to be as save as MM,
"Wells Fargo to buy back bonds to settle fraud lawsuit by California
The bank agrees to reimburse investors who bought $1.4 billion in auction-rate securities that were frozen in the credit crunch early last year, including $700 million held by California residents."
http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-wells-fargo19-2009nov19,0,7136581....
wait for it : "Wachovia Corp., which Wells bought late last year, previously agreed to buy back $8.5 billion of auction-rate paper."
now, do you really think they stopped their practice of selling "funky town" to retail investors? ..
just left messages for all my reps who voted nay!
God I love you guys/girls here at ZH, But BF stands against all you stand for. I pity ye who fail to grasp this. Tears are in your future.
Rep Jim Himes is a former Goldman Sachs banker from CT. He voted nay. Shocker....
He is the banking queen :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oqD5z96HEg
too funny
Working Joe Baca voted no? That just can't be.
Barney Frank voted no? I thought he finally grew a spine.
Maxine Waters, that two faced lying sack of integrity voted no? Now that I believe.
I am thinking that this will turn into a very large scandalous party, with Grayson being the grand marshall. All these banking "bunk buddies" will be politically tarred-and-feathered. It is going to suck being on the wrong side of this vote. I wish all the sell-outs (those voting nay), the best of luck explaining to their constituents how being on the take was in the best interest of the people.
Everyone knows that Maxine Waters, a member of the House Financial Services Committee, arranged a meeting in September between Treasury officials and the chief executive of OneUnited, one of the country's largest black-owned banks, which requested $50 million in special bailout funds. Waters didn't tell the treasury that her husband, Sidney Williams, served on the bank's board of directors and has owned at least $250,000 in stock in the institution.
This is not a threat against anyone...but now that Grayson is the lightning rod at the top...i fear that TPTB will decide a plane crash or pancreatic cancer is the only way to get out of this :(
I bet this won't show up in "inflation" statistics.

I live in Massachusetts, and it makes me vomit to the bottom of my guts that this flaming asshole represents my state in the congress.
If I could erase the disgust of my fellow voters here, it would be to eridacte this foul despicable piece of shit from the borders of our commonwealth forever.
I second that...The Funken dunken has to go. Ted if your listening a stroke is in order.
hey crisis. it all started there over 200 years ago. it can start there again. i know you guys are up to it.....:)
other than that, you respect the man
Why does Maxine Waters vote not surprise me. I'm so confused?
Barney Frank is one of the most despicable little ringworms to ever operate in the lower intestine of The Federal Government. His foul name shall forever live in the annals of the most extreme legislative infamy. DO YOU HEAR THAT, BWANY, YOU VIRAL SACK OF GREEN AND BROWN PUS? WELL DO YOU, YOU MISERABLE BURST (IN)HUMAN STD PUSTULE?!!!
There, I feel better now, and would like to only add in passing that both parties are the enemy of "WE THE PEOPLE."
AND YOU STILL STINK WORSE THAN AN OLD RAIN SOAKED GINKO BERRY CRUSHED AND MUSHED TOGETHER WITH A DIAHARETTIC OLD DOG TURD, CONGRESSMAN FWANK!
Signed,
A Massachusetts resident.
Come on now, folks.
Do you REALLY think that this thing is going to get all the way through to a full vote of the House and then over to the Senate?
Queen Bee "Bawney Fwank" has assured his paymasters that this thing will never get to the floor regardless of the committee vote - remember, he has Pelosi's word on this.
And even if it does get out of the House, do you really think the Senate will go along, where Chris Dodd and the Ben Nelson, the Senator from Berkshire Hathaway/Squid, stand ready to put the spike in this once and for all?
Nice gesture - but that's about all.

Here's what I really think. I think we have a situation where the minority wants to take away the rights of the majority. So the universe will try it's hardest to mix and manipulate a situtation where the majority is beating up on a minority as a guise to show that the minority knows best. Which is why i'm really careful to keep a close eye out for anything that resembles said tactic.
Keep your eye on the ball.
Like you. Sharing your defeatist crap like it means something.
Unfortunately this is as far as the bill will proceed. Nancy "stretch" Pelosi would have to schedule it for a vote. Which she wont and even if she did it would never pass that liberal sheet hole. If it did pass it would have to pass the Senate and Harry "The Body" Reid would never bring it to the floor. If he did it would need 60 votes which it will never get.
Even if it did pass the Senate it would then have to be hammered out in conference provided the Senate made and material changes to the bill. Then the final bill would have to pass both houses again.
After all that and against all those odds then the Obumbler would have to sign it, which he won't. He is as far left as every black congressman on that committee that voted against it today.
Sorry, that's just the way it is.
ah, amigo, most of the congresspeeps from the far 'left' voted yay. you should really get your ideologies straight...this is not a left vs. right battle. you're being blinded by divisions that don't really exist in the way that you have been bred to believe.
There are enough co-sponsors to pass the house....however it is about Pelosi scheduling a vote.
I do not know what to think about Mike McCaul from Texas. He wrote me stating, "I am a cosponsor of this important legislation because I believe that it will achieve much needed transparency of the Federal Reserve."
Yikes, Mike did not vote. McCaul dropped the ball.
What good is a congressman that does not even vote?
It was probably only the financial committee voting right?
Theres somewhere around 435 congressmen and doing a a quick count i saw only around 70 people that actually voted.
If it was on the floor somewhere around 400 probably would have voted.
You are right. It must be comittee.
No shocker that my rep, bank fluffer Carolyn Maloney, voted nay. As I just wrote her, unemployment is sad. Hers will not be.
take a listen to Barney "I swear, I thought it was oregano" tooting his own horn today, in this clip.

Not to mention the fact that his only rebuttal when the b/s is stripped away is "pay no attention to that man (inflation) behind the curtain".
You said "rebuttal".
GA, R's and D's in the hizzy, behind some Fed transparency.
Is your state representing this thoroughlly?
Melissa Bean (Illinois) voted nay ??
I sent this to my House Snake Ron Klein:
Message Text: Representative Klein, You are my representative but you do not represent me. You are for taxpayer handouts to banks and against auditing a criminal enterprise known as the Federal Reserve. I know that there are powerful bankers, finance people and hedge funds in our district that you also must represent but they are not the majority nor representative of the whole district. Your district is suffering through a terrible recession and you play the Washington game for handouts. We the people, want you to stop playing that game and change the game. Get rid of the special interests, get rid of the pay for play politics, get rid of the secret banking cabal destroying our economy. Support Ron Paul and Alan Grayson in bringing real transparency to govt. Start representing citizens and taxpayers while you still can because I believe another election is coming soon and I know what I am urging everyone to do in the primary: Register democratic and vote out the incumbent.
I am not sure how these guys said No even after listening to Watt speech.
Barney is a masshole through and through.
Can we update Barney Frank's wikipedia profile to say that " he was the person to vote NAY "
Remember this?

I live in MA and Stepehen Lynch is my congressman. He usually doesn't vote lock step with the rest of the delegation. He voted against TARP last fall. I've been calling and sending emails concerning Ron Paul's bill to audit the fed. If anyone is thinking of contacting their congressman, the most effective way is to call or call and email and write a letter. Anyhow, Mr. Lynch is going to hear it from me.
I'm embarassed to have a congressman like Frank from my state. Recently, his boyfriend was arrested for growing pot up in Maine, from Barney's house there. Frank's response was that he didn't know what pot looked like, he wouldn't be able to recognize any plant species. Meanwhile, he is pushing for the legalization of marijuana. I'm not saying he's wrong on that issue, but he is a fat, conniving, lying, piece of shit.
Just how friggin' stupid can we get?
A vote yes is a BAD THING as the bill was gutted and has no authority or penalties and TONS of exclusions. Get it? A vote yes seals the fate of audit process. A vote yes is a terrible thing. A vote yes tables any real change. Read the damn bill!!

Many (most) here do not understand the irony of this post....
Folks, a vote YES is a bad thing as this bill is being rejected by its own author as having been gutted.
Lets repeat that for those just waking up. A YES vote is a vote to now table anything and everything important in real reform.
There may actually be some folks that voted NO, because they understood this.
Net, net??
This is nothing to celebrate.
This is another point of high failure.
This does not in any way materially impact all that we would wish the Fed to stop doing.
Good to know my congresscritter (Lynch, MA-9) is bought and paid for, like the rest of the MA delegation, evidently.
And perfectly safe - he'll be unopposed, again, next year.
Welcome to the People's Republic of Massachusetts.
Anyone wanting Grayson to run for President/VP need to check themselves and quickly. That guy is a clown. Have you seen how he has behaved during some of his "speeches"? The guy is mentally unstable and I hope the voters of central Florida throw him out of his ass. He's a lunatic.
As for the voters, I'll give everyone one guess as to who are the Democrats and who are the Republicans.
I think there must be some confusion here. The Watt amendment, while suggesting that it would add to Fed oversight actually made the Fed even more opaque. The Paul Grayson amendment, which is what we see the voting list above for, restores the gutted portions of the original HR 1207 back to the bill post-committee gutting.
So no, the passage of the Paul Grayson amendment is not a bad thing, it's a good thing because it brings back the full power of the original HR 1207
What disappoints me is that Iowa Reps apparently were all in the shitter during the vote. What an easy way to oppose a bill....just don't be there. It also gives them an out when called on the carpet about being in favor of or opposed to a particular bill or amendment. They can just play the absence card and plead stupid.
Judd Gregg was just on CNBC and said this bill is just populist bullshit and should never get through. He said the independent Fed was the way it should be. Offered to go on and debate Paul. They asked him if all 300 sponsors were wrong, and he said they were.
this particular bill preserves the Fed's independence...it just makes it transparent.
beware of sockpuppets confusing the two.
http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=1337163453&play=1 - go to 6:07.
Grayson is my congressman in Orlando. He's an absolute lunatic whom i disagree with on about everything. However, I'm considering voting for him for the sole reason that he has made it a high priority to audit the Fed.
That's kinda how I feel about him too. He's crazy, but it may just be possible that he's *our* crazy guy on this particular issue.
"Judd Gregg was just on CNBC" - Shocka! Remember, it was Republican Senator Aldrich who spearheaded the Jekyll Island abomination that Wilson obliged. Fun fact! That top Republican was Nelson Rockefeller's grandpappy. The "independent Fed" is a lie from from the depths of the Bankers Circle of Hell.
Warren Buffett doesn't want Congress to "fool around" with the Federal Reserve's political independence, because it could lead to "a lot of mischief."
Our Becky Quick asked him about the topic during an on-camera 'walk-and-talk' conversation as Buffett and Bill Gates toured Columbia University's Manhattan campus on November 12 before taping the 90-minute CNBC Town Hall Event Warren Buffett & Bill Gates: Keeping America Great.
This 'web extra' video clip was not included in the program and is exclusive to CNBC.com:
Becky: Hey Warren, you said you had thoughts on the Dodd legislation, that -- We spoke this morning with Ric Mishkin who teaches here, the former Fed governor. And he's very worried about the Fed’s independence and not only the (Connecticut Senator Chris) Dodd legislation that’s out there but the (Texas U.S. Representative) Ron Paul legislation. Just things that would take power away from the Federal Reserve... Do you worry about that?
Buffett: Well, I think there is nothing more important in the economic future of the country than to have an independent Fed. And I think that’s been demonstrated over the years. I think it was demonstrated even particularly last fall. But we do not want to fool around with the independence of the Fed.
Becky: Do you think the system is perfectly fine? I mean, there are people who say it is an antiquated system anyway.
Buffett: Well, perhaps the regional banks and all that sort of thing, was better adapted to 1911 or something. I’m not sure you need somebody reporting in from Omaha to tell them what pigs are doing, you know, or hogs… (Laughs) But in terms of its fundamental mission as a central bank --
Becky: Yeah.
Buffett: I think it’s done a good job over the years. I think it’s had good leadership most of the time. I think it has terrific leadership now. And I think that curbing the independence of the Fed could lead to a lot of mischief.
shocked that Maffei voted yes for this. but then again he has no clue who he is even voting for.
I just hope someone will be able to use this in order to get that banker pandering piece of you know what (Frank)out of offic in the next election
What is the deal with Keith Ellison voting Nay???????
US Congresswoman Shelly Moore Capito-R WV-02 office (202) 225-2711 http://capito.house.gov/index.cfm?p=Offices and several other websites http://market-ticker.org/archives/1646-PaulGrayson-Amendment-Passes-In-Committee.html record her rollcall vote as YAY. Capito was an original signatore and co-sponsor of the original HR1207 Paul audit-the-fed bill. I cannot locate the 'official' government rollcall website (surprised?) but please investigate the offical record and make corrections to the above list if necessary. Her vote should not be misrepresented. Thank you,
