The Greek Crisis In Three Simple Clips
Solvency and liquidity crisis, misrepresented budget deficits, 22% bond yields, fraudulent currency swaps, scapegoatful government forever trapped in denial, IMF bailout package, and so much more - even the most sophisticated can get lost in the labyrinth of the Greece crisis: the critical domino that set off the sovereign insolvency wave of 2010. Here are three clips for "the rest of us" that explain everything that has happened in a way that even Larry Summers (and Sellers) will understand.

So...the sheep are the scapegoats?
Any relation to demon sheep?
I guess that in order to make G-Pap sympathetic, they had to turn him into a little Hawaiian girl.
I guess this is an improvement over the ECB propaganda film, but it's clear who the viewer is supposed to sympathize with.
By the way, the World Bank is continuing its propaganda push aimed at children, teens, and college students in other areas. The degree to which a government or quasi-governmental institution needs to propagandize its citizenry is proportional to its tyrannical nature.
huh, i like cartoons...
Did ya notice how the IMF glove was red in color with yellow markings?
Was it designed to subliminaly suggest a relationship to these flags -
http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&source=imghp&q=prc+flag&gbv=2&aq=0&aqi=g1&aql=&oq=prc+f&gs_rfai=

Or, is it just my imagination running wild?
If you see a yellow star on the IMF's belt then you are surely imagining things!
P.S. You must have crazy ass dreams!
Well, last night I dreamed that the global financial crises was solved by Bernanke and Geithner, the GOM oil spill was capped successfully and there was no environmental damage, Obama proved to be the courageous take charge leader showing for all the people of Earth the way not only to Utopia, but Xanadu and Paradise, and the market melted up instead of down, everyone was employed pulling in bonuses big enough to make Lloyd jealous, and the people of Earth joined hands singing kumbaya and gave each other hugs, and all hatred and nasty things were eliminated from the world so that we could live in a pollyanish dream land filled with pixie dust, unicorns, rainbows, and lollipops for the rest of our lives.
Of course, I live in bizarro world so that should explain everything.
And this is the number one song in bizarro world:

Oh fuck...
I liked you better as Pure Evil... King of the A-Holes...
Well if intel processors still sucked in the dream then it could be the truth.

Wow! That explained everything. Now I get it.
With average attention spans of 30 seconds for most these days this is a better solution to educate the masses than one might think.
I am still waiting for South Park's take on things... or have they already launched some torpedos?
Perhaps in the SP episode, the little Hawaiian girl transforms into the monster, instead of being devoured by it. Then, Godzilla-style, she goes rampaging through capital city after capital city, leaving huge swaths of death and destruction in her wake, while hapless/helpless gov't officials stand around looking at each other and saying "But I don't have the authority to order anyone to attack the monster..."...smush...next capital.
Maybe "The Blob" would be a better analogy.
Over at fdic.gov, shows they have already closed
3 banks so far for the weekend.
if i was the sockpuppet i would order the msm to give coverage to some bank openings instead of the closures. that would fix the doomers and gloomers.
how many bank openings have gone unreported??? somebody, anybody?
Bueller....bueller?
"IMF welcomes the opening of LTNB Financial Services"
Today in lego town, the IMF awarded the Lego Town National Bank over 1 billion single cube pieces. The towns people were taken back by the generous nature of the IMF but were not sure why the IMF only awarded the 1x1 blocks when an assortment of blocks that did something other than build noodlely towers.
Mr Lego Truck Driver has this to say about the whole affair; "It's not right you know, the town could have used 2x4 blocks. But with the IMF giving us all these 1x1's, I'm not sure how we are going to use them, let alone trade them with other lego towns, they are pretty useless."
The IMF representative was unavailable for comment
the first two were small potatoes, but the third one cost the DIF $300 million.
which is almost a lot of money.
Well that didn't say much.

wups, you beat me to it.
Well played, son.
The European economic crisis explained in 3 minutes:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOzR3UAyXao
Like I said earlier, my wrong call on the dollar - so far - is analogous to being a foot or two off the mark in horseshoes and handgrenades. But I could care less. You see gold today?
That's the effect of the euro collapsing and every European who can fog a mirror trying to buy some gold. If the dollar spikes up because the euro is being used to fuel furnaces in northern Germany, that's not good even for dollar holders."

Anybody notice Leo's been pretty much absent all day? I did notice however that Harry Wanger was back. Coincidence? MAybe.
Yeah, but you gotta cut the guy some slack. He did post earlier that he was pissed at the job number and would be posting later after he had a chance to fully digest it.
One can only hope he hasn't harmed himself.
So, cut him some slack. Never ever cut Harry Wanker any slack. He doesn't deserve it. Guy needs an education, and a job.
Don't worry, I fuck with Leo, (I'm too new at posting around here for him to bother fucking back yet), but I'm not abusive to him. He spends a lot of time trying to explain what the world looks like through his color of shades. I agree with virtually NOTHING I've ever read from him, but I respect his effort.
but I respect his effort.
leo will your respect me in the morning .
whats to respect .. his calls ae dead wrong .. have been .. and are shades of the Keynesian mind set ..
so i quess if a person respects killing, war, unemployment, poverty... and currencies falling all over the world
go with the myth to market kaynes.. but what the heck is their to respect from adding to the worlds misery with flawed and discredited economic theory ,, except by the bank of Canada.. they are in the Keynesian paper business ... and assorted supplyside types and kep doing the wrong thing over and over.
laying the ground work for a very nice cold winter
It's the Debt stupid.

The Fifth Element does a better job explaining the situation.
What a stupid video. Why not just kill the sheep (debt)? Oh that is right it would force bank losses. I noticed how the lenders were taken out of the picture real fast.
You have a LOT of faith in Summers ability to understand. Fucking clueless moron wouldn't get it if he had a tutor explain it.
I call bullshit. The IMF isn't a surgeon performing needed surgery. The IMF is a street gang from Compton that will destroy Greece for the fun of it.
The IMF doesn't have enough oomf to handle the near simultaneous wave of gigantic first world sovereign defaults that are about to crash, one after the other. They're outta their depth already.
Good evening fellow ZHers. That blue or red pill is getting easier to distinguish.

Your US puppet who explained his 700,000 job plan creation this week. No coincidence that BP oil spill will aid in the CAP & Trade passage.

Time to take a breather? Found an awesome version of Seasons in the Sun by Nirvana (worst pop song ever? and an older version by Jacques Brel (had no clue):
