Greek Ministry of Finance Is Now Burning
Update: It appears the blaze has been put out for now.
All in a day's work for a country whose people have to carry the fat kleptofascists on their backs. Next up: all other institutional buildings. And yes, this is starting to look like May 6. In the meantime, this should be good for another 100 pips in the EURUSD.

I hope you are right.. And I hope it spreads..
A Riot Puppy in every Living Room, a Baklava in every pot
agreed john, in my city the police already see the light. thank God for small favors!
None of this petty "violence" is genuine.
Until you see members of the PASOK lying motionless in the streets or their families set on fire, assume its all IMF/PASOK provocateurs.
The "selling" of utilities and other state assets for debt guarantees - in order to get more debt - is a strategy no different than that perfected across Latin America and Africa over the decades.
I would not want to be wearing a suit in Greece in the foreseeable future.
Does Greece have a '2nd Amendment?'
When it comes to Amerika, ...
Well you "voted" to owe the debt to finance the bank bailouts, five continuous wars and Obamacare.
You can pay the banks forever or start fighting back.
canada has sold its high quality utilities also. some were owned by the cities and there was no benefit to private ownership. the infrastructure was there. scumbag politicians
And with their new Con majority, look for the process to accelerate in Canuckistan over the next four years.
The American public was against bailouts and Obamacare. Like Greece, the vote in America is irrelevant. However, an armed society is a polite society. Most Americans felt little or no economic pain until 2008. Four years to identify and consider the nasty petri-dish the population finds itself in.
The sleeping giant is now awake. This time in history, the American people will have to fight the enemy within and without. Same thing these days but three or four factions to combat simultaneously. Let the good times roll!
At first, the anger will be misdirected, it will be the FILL IN THE BLANK nation that is causing all of these troubles and must be destroyed (probably Germany, China and/or Russia), even though the United States funded them while debt-induced Americans slept. The wisest course of action is for Americans to work on self-sustainability projects at the local level so when the Fascists command the killing, the people will have better things to do and have the supplies needed for sustained restructuring and other activities.
exactamundo ragingdebate!
The biigest fraud of all is the rally in the US equity markets. Just laughable!
Let them sell the junk to themselves, who cares.
+1
It's a good start.
Thursday, May 6th was BEFORE the weekend EU vote to bail-out Greece (and just coincidentally I am sure before the US Friday vote on certain Dodd-Frank reform criteria). It was Financial Terrorism at its best.
TODAY, they have achieved what they want: loss-avoidance for the oligarchy, further enlsavement for the overpromised misled peasantry.
long tear gas and water cannons.
long tar, feathers, guillotines, and rope.
a higher Beta play
IMF's Lipsky said that the Greek austerity package is pro-growth.
Which is technically correct TODAY, because the economy would have collapsed tomorrow.
By the time the Greek economy completes is slow motion collapse it will be the Ms. Lagardes problem.
Fire is good. It's another stimulus.
The building will collapse just a soon as a jet full of fuel going 400 miles per hour flies into it...
Parallels with American HUD housing inescapable

That's part of the perseverance test. Just keep clicking and they eventually let you in.
No matter how many times you're slapped in the face, continue standing on the porch. Tyler will eventually let you in.
GO Greeks!!!
Symbolism at it's best:
Burning the building that controls the fiat.
Fire! Ready! Aim!(for the bankers)...
Cool !
No ministry - no taxes.
Joe Stack on steroids.
Once the police leadership lose control of the rank and file it will be all over.
There is no way this country can move forward at this point without a bloody upheaval.
After the police flip, it will be the military and this could all happen sooner than we think.
I'm sure these conversations are going on now, with those looking to become part of the new power structure.
If only! 46 cents does not a 'stiffy' make. AFAIAC (As far as I am concerned.)
just wait till nightfall
I might have some respect for those pansy-assed protesters if they would go after the bankers and oligarchs instead of fighting with low level police and burning a public building, although the finance building is symbolic and probably the only public building that should burn.
I know there have to be a few greeks with hunting rifles that can take a 300 yard shot.
+ get da bankstas
The biggest perpatrators are no longer in risky hot-spots. Any population must control the situation on the ground first and consider justice a long-term affair after truth and the struggle for freedom phases.
Hell, go after the REAL perps! Burn a SIN-a-gog with lots of members of the Satanic Tribe in it!
'sweet talking' em again, eh tct?
'Pansy asses' indeed; compared to who exactly? Psychiatrists? You?
LOL

Papandreou's Socialist regime attacks Greeks
Fire is out, fire is out! Rally on!
They're going to need even deeper austerity to pay for the damages to the building.

So did I miss the memo that said mass junks are now de riguer. What's up with that? Has Robotrader decided to get even? Did Bernancy corner the junk market? Every comment thread lately has featured mass junks.
Looks like a bunch of hens out there on the square squacking while the roosters stand in the background and toss tear gas; then charge once in a while stirring them up. Nothing more than that in the chicken world. I guess it is intertaining news for the world to watch but nothing more than that. Serious people don't demonstrate; they take action in other ways. This is just a dog and pony show. These are people with no power and their leaders know it. Time to move on.
When I saw one of the previous demonstrations on the video of well armed police beating little teenagers on the ground, I figured this might be the outcome.
Police beat an old man with a club--sent him to the hospital for 9 stitches on the top of his head. One of the TV news channels had the video. He wasn't attacking anyone, either. The indignants were trying to form a human chain on one of the streets leading to Parliament.
Iceland isn't out of this show-boat yet, either:

I have strong troll blood - am looking to emigrate there for a little while, spend time with the non-reptile side of the family. Plus, how can you not find this zany cute / attractive? http://hafdishuld.blogspot.com/
Wow, that's pretty lame. They can't even burn down a damn building!
Insert joke about "lack of paper assets saves building as nothing left to burn".
How would this be different in the USA?. One word...guns! Once it is OUR turn to accept austerity measures from the IMF the new American Revolution will begin.
