If we get into total meltdown, count on your Gold being Confiscated.

Since this could be any day, better have it well hidden.....or lose it.

The US Reserves (if true) are more that all the other Soverigns combined.......but, our debts to them, DWARF 8,100 Tons of Gold.

Think your's is safe?.

Once again, those that have done what is Fiscally sound, get fooked.

The really sad part is, that even if we still had it, it doesn't even cover half the cost of the stimulus.  If my math is correct, at todays spot, it is worth 308 billion and change.  If we had it.  Which we don't

Why do you think we don't have it?

Since you seem so sure of yourself, do some of your own homework.

There have been many articles on ZH that have chronicled possible outflows of our gold reserves, including recently released transcripts of Federal Reserve Meeting MInutes.

Right, whereas you don't seem sure of yourself at all. No, you seem very flexible and open to new ideas. Hrmmm.

So you believe that the US government is LYING about how much gold reserves we have. So you basically believe in a conspiracy theory. Sorry, that's not for me to research, that's for you to prove. Just like with the religious people, the burden of proof is on those who claim something that there is no evidence for. And the evidence for your theory should be a bit stronger than "there were articles on zerohedge".

Do you trust your government?

No, I am very flexible and open to new ideas.  I believe that the government lies more than it tells the truth.  I will prove nothing to you; why waste my time trying when you will simply attack anything I say for the sake of starting an argument?  Maybe when you slow the fuck down, introduce yourself and offer a position, people will make an attempt to converse with you rather than cuss at you.

You have done nothing but lash out from the moment you entered the room.  Spend time digging up links and putting a position into words for you???  Go fuck yourself.

Your default position is to believe the Federal government's claim that all the gold at Fort Knox is still there, despite no audits for over 20 years?

And to question their claim is silly?

Indeed, deflation is the latest and current "big lie", right along with the "economic soft landing" of 2008, the "green shoots" of 2009, and this year's "recovery".

I checked the gold prices. I should have just read this thread and I could have figured out it got back above 1200.

Nice to see new gold trolls.

+ $1200.  Bravo and JonNadler cannot do it alone!

I don't think JonNadler is a real disser of gold. I think he pops in and out of character with it. I posted somewhere as Tony Sopprano just for the challenge of staying in character. It was really hard to do. Used a lot of Tony quotes, slightly adjusted for the situation, it made for some fun economics conversation. But it took too much time, I could not last for longer than an hour and gave it up. Trolling is just not for me.

There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration.I read and understand the entire article and I really enjoyed it to be honest.
