Hacker Group Anonymous Brings Peaceful Revolution To America: Will Engage In Civil Disobedience Until Bernanke Steps Down

Tyler Durden's picture

The world's most (in)famous hacker group - Anonymous - known for effectively shutting down their hacking nemesis security firm (with clients such as Morgan Stanley and, unfortunately for them, Bank of America)- HBGary, advocating the cause of Wikileaks, and the threat made by one of its members that evidence of fraud by Bank of America will be released on Monday, has just launched communication #1 in its Operation "Empire State Rebellion." The goal - engage in "a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience" until Ben Bernanke steps down and the "Primary Dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy effective immediately."

The Anonymous manifesto:

  • We are a decentralized non-violent resistance movement, which seeks to restore the rule of law and fight back against the organized criminal class.
  • One-tenth of one percent of the population has consolidated wealth in unprecedented fashion and launched an all-out economic war against 99.9% of the population.
  • We are not affiliated with either wing of the two-party oligarchy. We seek an end to the corrupted two-party system by ending the campaign finance and lobbying racket.
  • Above all, we aim to break up the global banking cartel centered at the Federal Reserve, International Monetary Fund, Bank of International Settlement and World Bank.
  • We demand that the primary dealers within the Federal Reserve banking system be broken up and held accountable for rigging markets and destroying the global economy, effective immediately.
  • As a first sign of good faith we demand Ben Bernanke step down as Federal Reserve chairman.
  • Until our demands are met and a rule of law is restored, we will engage in a relentless campaign of non-violent, peaceful, civil disobedience.
  • In our next communication we will announce Operation Empire State Rebellion.

The too big to fail bunch of banksters can get away with murder, fraud, coercian, harrassement of the general public and any other illegal activity under the sun because they have a lot of influence on the political class, the rule makers and the rule enforcers due to their enormous purchasing power. So irrespective of the position in the government, everyone works for their benefit.

The politicians around the world are nothing more than auction items which can be sold to the highest bidder. They will do whatever they can for the lobbyist paying them the maximum amount of money or votes, be it the unions, the banksters, the richest corporations or individuals. They are in the power seat to extract maximum advantage for themselves in the small time frame they occupy the seat of power.

The rest of the population is least of their concerns. The only activity they do is pacify the majority of the population using false statistics and promises of a better future so that they do not lynch them and their masters while they are robbing the taxpayers.

Okay, so do I have this right?  "Anonymous" is calling for millions to descend upon Wall Street on April 15th to demand the resignation of the Bernanke, and nobody's leaving until he resigns.  Is that about it?

http://strikelawyer.wordpress.com/2011/03/13/operation-empire-state-rebe...

They will play hardball if this picks up steam, you know.  The ATM's will shut down, etc.  People won't get their paychecks.  People won't be able to buy food.  It might get pretty hairy.

Longer term, isn't it about time to amend the constitution?

Technology is the taboo in todays world. Politics  and Economics are merely the tertiary and secondary powers. A true revolution has to break the primary power, i.e. Technocracy.

'...a philosophical anthropology in the age of technocracy". With "technocracy" I do not mean the rule of technocrats (as if they were a group of specialists, who dominate today's politics), but the fact, that the world, in which we live and which determines us, is a technological one - which extends so far, that we are not allowed to say, that in our historical situation there is among other things technology, rather do we have to say: within the world's status called "technology" history happens, in other words technology has become the subject of history, in which we are only "co-historical".'  from: Introduction to "Outdatedness of Human Beings 2" by Gunter Anders

In order to take History back into human hands, we have to attack the machines. They are the primary power. These guys might be on the right track. But the Beast will not go down without a savage fight. Good luck...

It will be interesting to see if Anonymous is successful in disrupting the banking/FED cartel. They might be villianized by more people than you expect because 99% or more of the population in developed nations is dependent on electronic markets and the ponzi structure (directly or inderectly). Maybe an "attack" is neccessary to shock people out of complacency, however, it would be much more desirable to see "the masses" rise up and take their lives back by ending the FED, conducting an orderly break-up of the international banks, and convict those who perpretrated fraud (perhaps a pipe dream). As someone mentioned earlier, Anonymous IS anonymous, which makes them harder to trust. I am more likely to trust the people who speak openly and do not hide their identity (I am Justin Loew, by the way). If indeed a new mass consciousness/hive mind is going to transform the world in the new future, it will be built upon openess.

Effective resistance movements have to work, at least in part, from the shadows.  Announcing to the Nazis that you were openly opposing them would not have gone well, and such is the nature of dealing with TPTB with their force monopoly (not that we're dealing with Nazis here, just an example to illustrate the situation.)  And there's no doubt our Republic is infected.

Well, Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?

I suspect that if Anon achieves any kind of success in exposing corruption at the highest levels, there will be a quick, concerted response to label them as some small fringe group of crazies or foreign sponsored terrorists who aim to subvert the US government/US constitution (i.e., the "US way of life").  When you control the mainstream media (which guides the brain-dead masses), that unfortunately may not be too difficult to accomplish.

There will be challenges to them to reveal themselves to put them on the defensive (and for the purpose of neutralizing them) while the government will increase online government surveilance that will target and round up any & all perceived threats to "national security", not just Anon, for the purposes of neutralizing current & future real threats to the ruling elite.

That said, I'm all for exposing corruption at the highest levels in an attempt to bring accountability back.

...response to label them as some small fringe group of crazies or foreign sponsored terrorists who aim to subvert the US government/US constitution...

You sound like that's a bad thing.   That description would certainly attract some following.   The ones who would NOT follow are the ones you wouldn't want anyway.

So, where's the downside?

if the objective is to gain enough traction & credibility to effect real change in removing the corrupt ruling elite's control, then yes, having the label of fringe or foreign terrorist organization pinned on them is a bad thing.

I think anyone wanting to organize real, legitimate change in the US will want & need substantial public support - unfortunately - that is an uphill battle since they have to battle MSM characterizations and then convince a populace whose minds have either been co-opted by the ruling elite, or who have been largely numbed to reality.

that said, every bit of exposure of the self-serving, corrupt ruling elite can't hurt and hopefully helps to gain traction among enough people to restore accountability.

Until we get evidence of severe inflation, which means the official rate of inflation surpasses 7%....

Which may not actually happen for another 3 - 5 years...

Ben Bernanke will go down as the greatest central banker in world history.

No doubt, Bernanke will soon attain celebrity status, and will probably be the envy of anyone seeking a high enough level of fame to attract Victoria's Secret models.

Think about it.  He is going to be a hero.  Not a villian.

Who else inflated stock markets so fast, so furiously, that perma-screechers like Nouriel Roubini tossed aside his end of the world predictions, bought a mult-million dollar NYC condo and started hanging out with high end escorts?

Heh, Roubini is now one of the "PigMen", lavishing in his success, hanging out at The Hamptons.

In fact, the rest of the world is now looking on, copying The Bernank's moves exactly:

March 12: (Reuters) - The Bank of Japan (BOJ) plans to
offer several trillion yen (tens of billions of dollars) to the
money market on Monday in an emergency market operation aimed at
soothing market jitters after a massive earthquake and tsunami
hit northeastern Japan, Jiji news agency said.

This will be the central bank's first so-called same-day
operation since last May, when the Greek debt crisis roiled the
global financial market, Jiji said.

The BOJ offered to supply 2 trillion yen ($24.4 billion) to
the money market on a same-day basis for two consecutive working
days in May.

The BOJ said after the quake struck on Friday that it would
do its utmost to ensure financial market stability and to smooth
the settlement of funds, including through the provision of
liquidity.

Thanks Robo!  Nice to know that these fools have no other plan than to liquify themselves into oblivion.  So let's see, that's:

  • Infinite liquidity for Japan
  • More than $1.7 Trillion in maturing US debt to be rolled.
  • A projected US budget deficit of $1.65 Trillion
  • plus Fannie/Freddie and ongoing wars....
  • AND a bull market in both stocks and bonds!

The bullshit is about to get so deep that no one with even half a brain will believe it.  I think that's what Bill Gross was really trying to say - "I can't pretend I'm that dumb."

But you Robo, have just shouted from the mountaintop, "I'M THAT DUMB!"

I now have the kind of bizzaro respect for you that I normally reserve for people who go over Niagara Falls in a kayak.

Sun, 03/13/2011 - 14:09 | 1046831 Future Jim
Future Jim's picture

I can think of only two possibilities why Bill Gross would be selling all bonds and holding cash. 1) He thinks the rate of return on bonds issued in the near future will be much higher, so he sold his lower yielding bonds in preparation to buy better bonds soon. 2) He thinks the governments, banks, and corporations who issued the bonds are likely to default.

If Bill Gross is holding cash now, then it may seem like he must be expecting delflation, but in that case why wouldn't he hold bonds, which are cash plus interest?

Of course, why hasn't he put that cash into some other investment? The only theory that seems to explain everything is that Gross is expecting bond defaults AND deflation. In fact, bond defaults would indeed reduce the total money supply.

Sun, 03/13/2011 - 14:28 | 1046865 mark mchugh
mark mchugh's picture

I have to disagree with the deflation expectation part.  Surely he could have held short terms to maturity if he wanted, but that would not have made the same statement.  This was a "fuck you" in my opinion.

I see default as unlikely near-term (but let's face it - default is what should be happening).  I think the extend and pretend is about to enter the twilight zone.  No one will be able to answer the question, "Who's buying this crap?"  Not Turbo.  Not Ben.  Nobody.  They will be shamed into raising rates, at least a little.

Unfortunately sellstop, you'll run out of other peoples' money.

Yes, the bankers must be dragged out into the street and hanged (metaphorically), but climate change (formerly global warming rebranded when the data didn't cooperate) is a nonsense promoted by these same bankers. They have hijacked the environmental movement for their own greedy ambitions. It is all eagerly sucked up by socialist politicians who see the promise of huge tax revenues that they can use to redistribute wealth (buy votes and facilitate malinvestment).

That is not "Power to the People". It is more of the same.

Can you say "STRAW MAN ARGUMENT"?

A straw man is a component of an argument and is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position.[1] To "attack a straw man" is to create the illusion of having refuted a proposition by substituting it with a superficially similar yet unequivalent proposition (the "straw man"), and refuting it, without ever having actually refuted the original position.

Lets say you bring down the fed central bank and break up the large banks, what will you replace the present system with? I'm all ears. I think the system is broken, I subscribe to Chris Martenson's triangle for description of how reality works in the economy.

The present system is set up to reward consumption of the country's and worlds real assets IE. energy, food, water, air , overpoplulation. This desire to obtain growth/reward with no regard to the proper responsible management of these assets, with the golat to keep the system in balance is our present system and it is broke. Example of a system in balance was the american indians respecting the environnment and living in harmony with it. A system designed to reward pure growth with no regard to prosperity divided equally and in balance with available assets is needed. What system would you replace the present system with. Tell me this and than I will listen.

Money has diminishing rates of return, ultimately.

Also, the most effective people in history tended to be those who could not be bought.

In our technologically driven universe, information is far more powerful than all the gold, guns, oil and fiat put together.

Information has always been more powerful, but this facet of human history is even more true today, given the wide channels of instananeous dissemination available to a massive chunk of earth's inhabitants.

Unlike the other countries that lost internet connection during upheavals in Bankers changing powers. I want to make something completely clear. If this ever happens in the US, every gatekeeper will release their code. Imagine a scenario, the President of the United States declares a National Security Emergency to kill switch the internet.  It will go down temporally, but return outside US government control. The real architects that develop services always have a kill switch to make sure the Government never gets out of hand. Never fear.

Considering many don't understand the simplistic/outdated internet technology. Watch

Halcyon, my friend, there are 300 million people in this country alone, with about 2 million total in government employ.

How good do you think those 2 million are, anyway? It's hype, buddy, pure hype. It's the reason why there's so much criminal behavior out there, they can't keep up with it all. They do, however, like any good company, want it to appear they can.

Anon isn't bringing a pea-shooter to a nuke fight, they are fishing with a net, at the aquarium.

When the Federal Reserve Bank is cast out or torn down, beware the plans that are already in place to replace it and beware those who slide quietly into its place.

The elite have contingency plans a through z and then some.

They are always prepared for such events.

The key to getting rid of fractional reserve banking and the global bankster cartel is to put mechanisms in place to ensure that whatever currency being used at any given time can NOT be diluted in perpetuity by printing machines or key strokes.

If someone like RFK got elected to clean house and punish the criminals who rule covertly and overtly every single person in this country would root for him...except the captured media. Problem would be not to get shot before the mission gets accomplished. People like this seem to get murdered. I've been doing my small part to not participate in the system. I think something like this could catch on. If the people get directives and they are followed they would understand quickly how powerful they are as a group and they could not ignore us. Currently they can have their captured media explain everything away and burst everyone's balloon.

i know this "day of rage" is the current cup of tea for describing the protests(seems important for the media to lable it that way, "rage") but I would not embrace it in my opinion... keep it peaceful as you can even in the language you chose. I know our culture responds easily to violence (cage fighting) but embrace the teachings of the most powerful people who have used peaceful means of nonviolent change such as Ghandi and MLK.

I know we are all upset with the blatant corruption but make sure our message well recieved by the public who can still spot sincerity and truth

From what's on there thus far, it's pretty civil and sincere.  I don't know about the name of it though, as rage implies violence in my mind.

Hopefully sincerty and truth can be spotted though, regardless of how it is framed by language.

During Ben-Hubris' next unscheduled congressional pep-talk to the masses during a suddenly emerging financial crisis, I propose one of the questioners pose the following:

"Mr. Chairman, in light of the success of QE1 and 2 in preventing financial collapse, aren't you and Mr. Greenspan, along with prior fed chairmen and other federal financial leaders, much chagrined to realize that had the efficacy of these financial measures been realized in the 1950's, and applied as necessary, that all post-war recessions, contractions and unemployment could have been prevented, as well as all the previous, now recognized as useless, fed policy efforts discarded?

Confession

I've been following ZH since I think about the first month - didn't sign up till around a year ago though.  Haven't posted a lot and usually my posts are full of anger and lots of swearing.  I post probably 1/10th of what I actually put in the new comment box, most of the time I edit myself.  I've gone through periods where I've tried to not read ZH, because I get what is going on all too clearly and ZH just informs me all the more and that only makes me angrier....

I've watched Anonymous from afar with fascination.  I've imagined what a group of elite hackers who are fighting the corruption of the system could accomplish.

Since yesterday I'm walking around with a sense of "lightness" its like a cloud of frustration has been lifted from me.  I know, I know - maybe this was not Anonymous, maybe its a sy-ops scam, maybe it will never happen.  It actually doesn't matter if its any of the above right now.  What matters is that its an idea.  A very very powerful idea.  An idea worth spreading.

So regardless of whether this message is from anonymous or someone else -life has been breathed into us, and truth will pervail.  It always does.  Eventually.

Bring it.

I like the theme.. of the video.. I like the passion of someone other than me having a fucking clue.. as far as Alex Jones? isnt he part of Charlie Sheens Posse'? Just kidding..

I would hope that more people take notice of the facts..

On June 4, 1963, a virtually unknown Presidential decree, Executive Order
11110, was signed with the authority to basically strip the Federal Reserve
Bank of its power to loan money to the United States Federal Government at
interest.

With the stroke of a pen, President Kennedy declared that the
privately owned Federal Reserve Bank would soon be out of business.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_Order_11110

Of course, the fact that both JFK and Lincoln met the the same end is a mere coincidence.

Abraham Lincoln's Monetary Policy, 1865 (Page 91 of Senate document 23.)

Money is the creature of law and the creation of the original issue of money should be maintained as the exclusive monopoly of national Government.

Too bad activists today are hamstrung with the Ghandi style non-violent approach.  It would not bother me to see that some Rambo Patriot group had put Blankfein's and Dimon's heads up on pikes at the entrance of the Brooklyn bridge as a start.  That would show some progress.

I would love to see what the headline would read on the WSJ and FT.  Fill the blank: Obama calls for _____________________ and Benanke Has Left the Country.

Don't discount the heads on pikes approach too quickly.  It certainly was viewed as an effective message in earlier times of human history. It's very hard to mis-interpret the message.  Very much "straight to the point".

Why shouldn't starving unemployed American citizens utilize the tool of violence against State and Banking violence used againt them?  Isn't the Kleptocracy starving and killing millions every day with their actions, with complete autonomy and impunity from any rule of law whatsoever?  Who is going to stand up for the clueless American taxpaying slaves as they starve to death? The Chinese?

Why the heck aren't Americans at least marching on the NY Fed, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan -- filling up lower Manhattan with tents like Freedom Square?  Why is it that all the oppressed people in Arab nations have balls enough to stand up to their oligarchs, but in the US they are happy to live under Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan and a corrupted government?  Instead American activists in Wisconsin hold each others wankers and bitch and whine like little girls about Union rights, while the Tea Party white breds pray to some ignorant telepromter Beeach from Alaska to save them - Bwah hah ha.

Crazy Max Keiser may be correct: Have Americans have become ignorant, cowards, ruled by a Kleptacracy... or has it always been that way, but with advent of Youtube and Social Networking has it just become more apparent?

I could be totally off-base with this "Heads on Pikes" approach, though, it may be worth discussing the pros and cons.

Actually, I believe we do still have the power to change this country for the better through peaceful means, and 'Anonymous' is on to something.

Change will only come if there is an awakening amongst the common man.  As most here would likely agree, Joe 6-pack is still asleep, but with every plant closing, every reduction in hours, every child who can't find a job, more Joe's begin to stir from their slumber.

As a society, we are pre-occupied with scandal and celebrity.  If Anonymous gives us a blockbuster or 2 that simply cannot be ignored, a powerful seed could be planted.  In fact, some seeds have been planted already by Wikileaks, and it is leaks can bring down TPTB & TBTF.  Let's face it.  Tons of people individually know about tons of wrongdoing.  As more rocks are overturned and misdeeds exposed, the snowball may grow as it rolls downhill.

If enough of this shit gets out there, the natives will get restless.  At this point, the politicians get nervous and start checking to see which way the winds are blowing.  Virtually all are bought, but the question becomes, how many will stay bought?  If it looks like voters are truly demanding change, change may begin to happen.  Then we start to get some real investigations, prosecutions, and real life becomes more riveting than hollywood fiction.

I am at least hopeful, and very anxious to see if Anonymous really has anything of imortance to release tomorrow on BAC.

Bring it on........Independent Contractor
