Hamptons Weekend Ruined, Hedge Fund Managers Enraged
Another slapdown in equities where 6 days worth of longs were wiped out in one fell swoop. Instead of a killer weekend at The Hamptons, now the hedge fund managers will head to the Jersey shore and pick up some low grade hookers. And after failing to unload all their holdings at the 200-day for the second time in a row, many managers are likely to "Go Gibson" on their weekend escorts.
Pretty much a chain-selling event across the board today. Some big names were obliterated to fresh, 52-week lows:

Note how the voices are on two separate tracks (!), and there are clear signs that the audio stream has been tampered with.
Also, listen carefully to their voices. HER voice sounds extremely phony/"acted", as if dubbed in over an existing conversation that did not actually go that way.

Why, while his rant was a bit out of range. I think all men have felt themselves at least once scorned enough to wish rape on somebody by a pack of wildmen (not a big fan of the n word).
What gets me is who recorded the conversation and what was said before. Women can wind up a guy enough to get themselves a pair of irish sun glasses just as well as a local drunk talking smack. Just seems funny how packaged the whole telephone conversation was, although I doubt Mr. Gibson was in on the "joke". I wonder how many other phone convo's he's been pegged with.

Today was a very strange day. For the past 18 Months Macroeconomic news hardly ever trumps financial rally around the flag. So the day was interesting.
I predicted the Big Financials would be hit becasue of management call future guidance, but I must admit reaction to poor revenue, and what we have come to expected for loss provisions, was very negative, given the anticipated increase in earnings. BAC and C were at or beat the street and got pounded. Why?
Reggie has talked at great length about JPM, especially in core exposure and unknown effects (system risk) with derivatives.
But each one of the TBTF has their own particular black spot. Wells will be reporting on the 21st, and we expect their chargeoffs to be uncharacteristic of a recovery.

Not sure what to make of State Streets positive stock movement after providing early guidence. Perhaps they will get pounded too when they report.

If the herd is now going to react to macro-economic trends then next week we should see negative pressure on real estate. Buy SRS?

If there is an acknowledgement of macro-economic systemic risk, then equities should sell off rapidly. We shall see.
From an analysis standpoint I think what most people will find, if they take the time to dig, that de-leverage debt has overwhelmed stimulus growth. This is saying a lot given that we are only half way through ARRA.

By Mel's racial and defamatory rant, I very much doubt he consented. Besides if she intended on using it to bolster her case for a personal protection order, then 1) it's inadmissible as evidence and 2) contrary to her staying in his house.
The punch in the mouth she supposedly received should have been evidence enough, if not, cause for a protection order however she chose to take the low road by capitalizing (public sympathy) on his weaknesses. His behavior is by no means excusable but her victimization does not grant her sainthood in this case.
Do you think a woman at that age gets knocked up by accident? It is all about the money. If she stayed home in Russia, and acted that way towards him, her husband would have tossed her out on her ass. I am not claiming Mel is a victim but she obviously set him up, knowing that getting knocked up by him was the same as winning the cash for life lottery.
