Hillary Clinton Seeks To Run World Bank

Tyler Durden's picture

Update 2: State Department official says Clinton would not even take World Bank job if it was offered - CBS News

Update: NBC WIRE: From Philippe Reines, a Clinton spokeman: "It's 100% untrue, Reuters is wrong. That's on the record."

Phew, that was scary...

We are surprised that the "recidivist rapist" post-DSK PR backlash took so long. Yet it is now here. From Reuters:

  • Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been in discussions with the
White House about leaving her job next year to become head of the World
Bank, sources familiar with the discussions said Thursday.

Far more importantly, another rat leaves Obama's sinking ship. In the meantime, feminists everywhere rejoice, because, you know, Hillary, extremely experienced in economic, bankruptcy, and other financial issues is a woman.  Next up: Oprah seeks to run the Bilderberg group, in order to give it a more "streamlined", humane appearance and Rachel Maddow in rumored to run the Trilateral Commission. Obviously, Erin Burnett is a shoo in for the CFR. And yes, the world has now officially gone crazy.

From Reuters:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been in discussions with the White House about leaving her job next year to become head of the World Bank, sources familiar with the discussions said Thursday.

The former first lady and onetime political rival to President Barack Obama quickly became one of the most influential members of his cabinet after she began her tenure at State in early 2009.

She has said publicly she did not plan to stay on at the State Department for more than four years. Associates say Clinton has expressed interest in having the World Bank job should the Bank's current president, Robert Zoellick, leave at the end of his term, in the middle of 2012.

"Hillary Clinton wants the job," said one source who knows the secretary well.

A second source also said Clinton wants the position.

A third source said Obama has already expressed support for the change in her role. It is unclear whether Obama has formally agreed to nominate her for the post, which would require approval by the 187 member countries of the World Bank.

The White House declined to comment.

A spokesman for Clinton, Philippe Reines, denied she wanted the job or had conversations with the White House about it.

Revelations of these discussions could hurt Clinton's efforts as America's top diplomat if she is seen as a lame duck in the job at a time of great foreign policy challenges for the Obama administration.

However, the timing of the discussions is not unusual given that the United States is considering whether to support another European as head of the World Bank's sister organization, the IMF.

The head of the IMF has always been a European and the World Bank presidency has always been held by an American.

That unwritten gentleman's agreement between
Europe and the United States, is now being aggressively challenged by
fast-growing emerging market economies that have been shut out of the
process.

The United States has not
publicly supported the European candidate for the IMF, French Finance
Minister Christine Lagarde, although Washington's support is expected.

Neither institution has ever been headed by a woman.

If
Clinton were to leave State, John Kerry, a close Obama ally who is
chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is among those who
could be considered as a possible replacement for her.

From what her high school girl friend in California was quoted in print as saying when she was leaving for DC, she was more likely chasing him.  But he had to severely short on common sense not to realize that she would want some sort of bragging rights.  She would HAVE to tell someone.  He was, after all, the President of The United States and at that time that still meant something.

“The Jews could be put down very plausibly as the most unpleasant race ever heard of. As commonly encountered they lack any of the qualities that mark the civilized man: courage, dignity, incorruptibility, ease, confidence. They have vanity without pride, voluptuousness without taste, and learning without wisdom. Their fortitude, such as it is, is wasted upon puerile objects, and their charity is mainly a form of display.”

Yet the cool thing about Mencken (really one of the greatest Americans ever, up there with Twain, HST, Ambrose Bierce and Hemingway) is that he was an equal opportunity-hater:

The normal American of the "pure-blooded" majority goes to rest every night with an uneasy feeling that there is a burglar under the bed and he gets up every morning with a sickening fear that his underwear has been stolen.

Phil Young was the son of a missionary family who lived in the hills of Cambodia/Laos amongst the secluded mountain tribes there who were very independent. He became famous as the first CIA operative when the war started there in 1963. He helped the covert  Laos war effort. They used to fly in opium/raw morphine base via AIr America the inhouse CIA airline from Pak/Afgh/Burma regions. He was a very old style operative, a warlord who inspired the Kurt character, the guy played by Marlon Brando in Apoc. Now...A legend, must have run prostitutes as well, he spoke their mountain lingo, practiced their customs and married their women. He died on April 1 this year. Killed himself as he had an incurable disease. The last of a maverick race of spy operators in Indochina.

I grew up in Colombia where my dad owned a fleet a cargo ships in a business he started as an orphan of 10 as deckboy (1936 Cartagena Colombia). By 21 he was a captain, by 25 his first small ship, by 1957 he bought his first freighter in Jacksonville, Fl for $90,000 (partly with Wall St financing btw). By the seventies we owned several ships free and clear worth altogether about $2.5 million plus properties and what not.

When the Zionist/British Crown bankster, drug trafficking CIA introduced drug smuggling (in Bolivia during the sixties first) they created the Medellin Drug Cartel so they could deal with 200 drug traffickers in one group. Remember, Bush's buddy, Barry Seal, had a military sized cargo plane (forget which one) and I've read estimates that they trafficked over 30 thousand tons which is how these criminals where able to offer to pay off Colombia's "foreign debt" and btw destabilize the hell out of the country.

To be cont.

I also believe that Chiquita's ships carried drugs too which they claimed was accidental.

So we didn't know any of this when the KKK drug warriors and their dictatorial, thieving laws pressured my father into tricking drug traffickers into putting drugs in our ships and setting them up in the US. Anyways, to abbreviate, we lived with bodyguards for years, my father suffered two assassination attempts, was kidnapped and our home invaded and just utterly destroyed. One time the "US Customs agents stole the drugs, didn't bust the people and my dad ended up with a gunman in his office and he paid for the drugs.

So when things got too hot because of Eugene Hasenfus and other stuff in Congress (the Boland Amendment etc) they cut off the drug traffickers. Noriega and Pablo Escobar were accusing Bush of drug trafficking and they set up radar stations on yhe condos of Florida's east and west coast, with monster they created (Theodore Shackley, Budh, Clines, Angleton, Rockrfeller, Rothschild) to produce industrial scale quantities of cocaine and no transport, they turned to commercial shipping.

It was more than just drug trafficking by these scumbags, it's about destabilizing countries so that people can be controlled and wealth purloined. It's no accident that the mining law giving away Colombias riches (ask any geologist about Colombia) in 2001 with the drug trafficking 40k man guerrilla army at the capital's doorstep.

The same banksters who traded your American Dream for their empire.

btw, you're from Texas, no? If you know somebody at UT Austin please tell them to get the fuck out of my country. Why the fuck does a university in Texas have such a clinical, evil eye cast on Colomjian dociety and each and ever last bit of its mores??? Evil bastards.

I'm not sure about UT-Austin and I know no one there.  There are a lot of people moving into Texas and we already have plenty of eucational institutions; some of the largest in the country, by the way.

What are they doing there, exactly?  And please remember, don't equate Texas with Bush, Perry or Dewhurst.  They answer to a higher power that are currently meeting in Switzerland as we speak.

Either Poppy or W have their "Pesidential Libarie" built at UT-Austin, I think.  Would it surprise me to learn that they were using that institution as a launching pad to not only corrupt young minds but to also destabilise sovereign countries?  Not at all.

About what?  It seems Rodent Freikorps is German for rat patrol.

Are you an exterminator or something?  Or that guy Christopher George?

I never got that show.  They never seemed to go anywhere, yet the Germans would stupidly walk up on them in every episode and were so quick and willing to die.  it bothered me, even as a child, that Americans were so powerful and expert in marksmanship.

your equal would be too equivocal...but to beat you unequivocally, like a Kilim carpet being dusted or a calamari pulp being hammered before it is deep fried, is a pleasure that is too difficult to resist. So the lamb gets Rammed and then grilled on the rack...sounds ok for a rodent who can't tell bushy tail from bleating mouthed ba-ba black sheep...

There are more rodents than humans.

Get a clue, make a small mental move to the light, you smug mutants.

I can't believe I need to spoon feed you the secrets of life, and you still think you are clever.

I truly hope you are in charge of the forces arrayed against me after the fall. I truly do.

One of my a-ha moments, perhaps 8 or so years ago, was reading the real story of mena, clintons, hubble, barry seal, nose cones, parking meters....nuts. And deeper adn deeper and deeper.

Have you read the one about Howard Hughes, onasis, Jackie Oh, Mafia, JFK, Johnson, Jackie pulled the trigger in Delaney Plaza? That one report, meticulous in it's research, photographic evidence and conclusion, sat like a lump in my throat for weeks, refusing to even get a serious consideration.

And look where it took them, eh? But the selectors choose well. Even Al G, the wearther man, had soem charisma when I saw him up close. Billy Bob lit the room up I believe.

You're the right person. Let the people elect you, then they'll find out how much they like it. Promise hopium smokers that you'll break up the moneyTrust/TBTFs and end wars not start them. Collect your Nobel peace prize for greasing a process far more destructive than the dynamite which caused Alfred Nobel's ultimate regret. You have an agenda which should be advocated by any reasonable human being. If the support to which your agenda is naturally entitled comes from money trust, then let us congratulate them on their remarkable vision. Afterward, let us mock anti-trust legislation with world bankers at an election party.

You got this all wrong guys. The World Bank, and the IMF of course, are political organizations with political agendas just like the Bilderberg club, the CFR and the TLC. The only difference is that the WB and the IMF use capital (debt) to reach their goals while the BB, CFR and the TLC use influence. The goals are the same, the methods different. It works well together, sort of like a pincer movement. I see nothing wrong with appointing a politician to reach political goals, even if debt slavery is the method. And since Hillary is a globalist/collectivist and a high level insider, she's the perfect choice.

Mrs. Clinton may have matured with the present position. The money job seems like a good education for the eventual job as President. Not to say that I have ever been supportive of her, but she looks no worse than any other politician at this time. However, she will have to address her rabid anti-gun stance, other wise it could be a one issue campaign.
