This long Gold trade is sure getting crowded. Every other post on ZH is pimping the PM's. You can even buy Gold from vending machines now. When speculators get involved, it doesn't end good - Internet companies, Oil, Real Estate........
True, yet where ARE you going to go? Euro? Yen? King Dollar that is a huge debt bubble ready to pop?
Central banks hold physical gold, the ONLY thing they really hold as a real reserve. The Rothschilds, wealthiest family in the world, also hold many gold bars.
Besides, the USA is on their third central bank scheme right now, and hundreds of USA localized paper currencies are long gone too. Germans are smart and they remember the relatively recent paper currency problems. So do those who live in Zimbabwe.

Central banks are not impartial, they represent certain interests.
The ECB crazy monetary policies in the weaker member states is at the core of Europe's Financial Tsunami - their petty 3% deficit rule is the mirror of the monetary explosion in Iberia and Ireland.
French and German savings was forced into inferior investment products that were invested in 2nd class European countries.
At least the EU commissions structural funds were invested in increasing these countries industrial capacity but almost all the funds that banks provided were used to develop excess houses.
If I could Trust Sarkozy I would endorse the efforts of the Paris executive to put some manners on the Lords of Finance that has created enormous amounts of dead money that create little or no revenue.
