Love the mention of QuEasyGate on page 2. I'm also noticing a lot more usage of "chaos" or "chaotic" of late. And he only gives a best case scenario of a trading range from 1234 to 1014? Where's the EW analysis?
"Domestic politics: this is an election year, and a lot is a stake."
While the entire article was well done, I'm glad Nic started here because this is where it all begins. The grade A number one USA political animal has shown which breast(s) it suckles and it would benefit us all if we remembered this hard lesson as the year plays out. As much as I also enjoy mother's milk at body temperature and from the breast, the cold hard fact is we're experiencing a level of corruption not seen before in our life time. My fear and expectation is that it will get much worse before the corner is turned.
I wrote something a few weeks back about false hope binding us to impossible situations. I wrote that as much for my benefit as everyone else. I refuse to engage in hopium this year. I won't wait patiently for people to do the "right" thing because doing so is naive and dangerous, for myself and those around me. My heart has been hardened.
This doesn't mean more vitriolic rants from me. Instead I'm simply taking the same stance the world takes with me. I shall assume those in power are gunning for me until proven otherwise and act accordingly. No, it's not personal. They just want my income, wealth and personal freedom. Nothing personal about that, is there?
