Independence Day
One of my hobbies is music and songwriting. I wrote this last year for Independence Day.

Notes on the music: The drums are similar to U2's "Bloody Sunday", the guitar similar to U2 in some parts and the main riff from Little Steven's "Freedom" in other parts, and there are elements of Simple Minds' "Sanctify Yourself" or "Don't You Forget About Me" and - I know, I know - Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love".

Independence was lost in this country the day the white man set foot on it's shores.
Perhaps the fight against England for self-rule was a noble cause, but all wars since have been for nothing but selfish greed.
The only freedom we can enjoy is in our minds and hearts.

Sorry, being a devout student of history leaves one rather hardened, and in my case, a bit too mouthy.
It is sad that the ideals and values that were the rallying cry to free ourselves from British rule, was chipped away once independence was gained.
Maybe the Crown just allowed us to "play in our sandbox" for a couple hundred years.
In any case, I can't see how those founding ideas are relevant today, and
now the sun never sets on the American empire, as well.

My Personal experience too
ZH is a community that has the potential to organize and lead the movement to reclaim the values and principles of our nation's founding. We are not organized as far as I can tell. We have a few speakers and a lot of listeners. If we want to change our world we need more speakers and organizers in each and every locale. We can and should know where other community members are, because we need to take this fight to the local level. We need to actually get off the keyboards and mobilize in the physical non-interbutt world. Here's a suggestion: zh twitter accounts. I created a twitter account @zh94017a001 so you can see I'm in zip 94107. I think 26000 members per zipcode will work for awhile. If I see other @zh94107**** or zh94xxx**** or even zh9xxxx****members for that matter I will follow you. FWIW. If we want to regain some freedom we will have to do more than bitch and moan and make it real in our communities. Meeting each other is the beginning. If you don't like this idea, bring on your own!
TIME magazine, the mouthpiece of the Bonesmen, is telling us the Constitution is out dated. George Will, who should stick to commentating about the game of baseball, is telling us the constitution is outdated. The globalist agenda is really trying to skullf&ck Americans at their darkest moment.

Scary indeed. Among other things, Citizens United may go down in history (assuming this history is allowed to be written) as the final nail that turned the greatest nation on earth into another in a long line of failed attempts by the few to overcome the pre-occupation of the many with the false promises of Kings and tyrants.

"If you're an atheist...." please sit in a corner and be quiet, and pretend to be a good American. Freedom and liberty are for those who know they are transcendent rights, endowed by our CREATOR.
I guess we'll need songs, just like in any other revolution. But I think more about the distinct possibility that there will be a REAL revolution. We talk winded volumes about TPTB and the SHTF, but what if the EOTWAWKI really does come to pass????? What will we do??? Where will you be???
As a true Cold Warrior, I know one thing for sure - "Leftists don't stop until they have a bullet in their brain." So I think the revolution will have to be fought. When? I don't know. How? I don't know. But my guess is that within the near future and probably the old-fashioned way - 20% of the people doing 80% of the work.

I'm no atheist, deist in fact, but you don't need God to communicate natural rights to atheists. There is one simple fact, societies that guarantee natural rights succeed. From ol' TJ:
