If they hadn't halted trading, some HFT algo probably would have driven it down to 0.0001 in a millisecond (and then kept hitting the 0.0001 bid).

When Intel and Cisco announced Q2 results and Q3 outlook less than a month ago, folks were scratching their heads at the differences - which led many to speculate that either Intel was channel stuffing or Cisco had one-off execution problem. For the record, I think we should point out all the channel stuffers and shame their CEO/CFO and haul them to the court - Sarbox, anyone still remember that one?

I noticed that online retail locations such as Newegg and Tiger Direct have been dropping CPU prices since July. And it was long after the i3/15/17 core line was released, when you would expect a ratcheting down in price of older CPU lines. AMD as well.

Those chips must be getting more expensive in Malasyia. I should know because I purchased two of them recently. I build my own systems for the fun of it once in a while.

Netbook sales are cratering because of you know who (ha ha Reggie), and you know who isn't using Atoms. This is what happens when a company focuses too much on the low end.

With the huge and somewhat government subsidized semiconductor manufacturing equipment investment over the past year, this slow down of intel is probably indicating the beginning of the end of this investment cycle.
Working extremely close to the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry, I am seeing lower investment in the near future (next 2-3 months?) getting closer and closer in the past few weeks.
