Interpol Issues International Arrest Warrant For Julian Assange For "Sex Crimes"

Tyler Durden's picture

Per BreakingNews.com, Interpol has just issued an international arrest warrant for Julian Assange. The offense listed: SEX CRIMES. And somehow Interpol does not have access to the Internet and is unable to pull an image of the wanted criminal. Unclear if Ben Bernanke will follow suit in the same Sex Crime category for repeated involuntary fornication with the world's middle class. In other news, we are now taking odds on a dramatic, globally televized slow speed chase on a California highway in Julian Assange's future?

Well, you can release some information after you're jailed. Depends on whether his insurance file dead-man-switch is torture-proof. Unlikely to be doing a hat-trick, true.

He can't run the site by himself, so likely the release will still happen.  Unless the others are being "rounded up" as well.  Entirely possible.

I imagine that if he disappears or shoots himself twice in the back of the head, or drowns in the hot tub, or has a heart attack, or is arrested for anything along these lines and it sticks the password to the insurance file gets published.  Maybe other things, too.

My youngest son was forced to leave this country, because of this Sollozzo business. I have to make arrangements to bring him back here safely, cleared of all these false charges. But I'm a superstitious man and if some unlucky accident should befall him, if he should get shot in the head by a police officer or if he should hang himself in his jail cell or if he's struck by a bolt of lightning then I'm going to blame some of the people in this room. And that, I do not forgive.

From the above link (thanks davey):

"The investigation stems from separate encounters Assange had with two women during his August visit to Sweden, where he was applying for Swedish residency and attempting to secure the protection of Swedish free-press laws for his secret-spilling website. According to local news reports, the women told investigators the sexual encounters began as consensual, but turned non-consensual. One woman said Assange ignored her appeals to stop when the condom broke."

This is the banks angling for a deal. Lose your bank leaks and we lose your faked SexCrime charges.

The charges are of course trumped up, it is so obvious everybody in Sweden would be aware of it and would never find him guilty. The whole world knows its scam of the US government trying to get revenge on him. Good way for the US administration and their cohorts to engender more hate from the masses.

Not really.   If his intent was to fire up the citizenry who happen to be aware of what's going on, I couldn't think of a better strategy to inflame and piss off people who might actually sympathize with him.

Of course it would have been better if he fired off his salvo from an already concealed place to hide.

Insurgency tactics

  1. cell-networks that maintain secrecy  - FAIL (MAYBE) ... guess we'll see how good his support is.
  2. terrorism used to foster insecurity among the population and drive them to the movement for protection - FAIL (his method of warfare is memetic, not violent [yet])
  3. multifaceted attempts to cultivate support in the general population, often by undermining the new regime - CHECK
  4. attacks against the government - CHECK

Well we all know what truly disturbs the government. It's not war revelations.

It's revelations on banks.

Predictable.

I think this event reinforces the thesis that Wikileaks is not a governmental operation. But I still have doubts (the mainstream medias praise Assange too much).

Yes they are very afraid of revelations about the banks because they're fighting tooth and nail just to maintain the current illusion that the economy is bad but not utterly destroyed.  An insider's look could force those with blinders on to see the truth.

What if the bank they were going to profile were the Federal Reserve of New York?  That would be worth paying to see.

Go to jail, of course not.  French Revolutions are a thing of the past, and even if they weren't I'm fairly certain private jets are kept for just such an emergency.

Hard to fight the state and it's controllers.  The whole monopoly of force thing is a mother when standing against it.  They can shoot, beat and imprison us but we can not so much as raise our arms to protect our faces from their attacks without them labeling it assault.  The only positive is evil feeds on evil so they always turn on each other.  Look at the Soviet purges, doesn't help us, but the pain train rolls for most everyone.

Folks, this is old news - pre-dates the remarks JA made about the next major leak.

The prime mover for this was Anna Ardin; the second accuser has now decamped (to Israel - are you shocked?). The whole thing was a farce from the get-go - the "inquiry" made to the police, in full knowledge that the police were required to immediately file charges due to the sexual aspect of the "inquiry" by the two women; those charges led to a warrant being issued by the duty prosecutor that night. Eighteen minutes after the police wrote up the charge sheet, the facts were leaked to Expressen.

The DP's supervisor rescinded the warrant within hours. The two women - by then the focus of vilification in Sweden and globally - sanitised their Facebook, Twitter and blogs, and bunkered down and lawyered up; their counsel is a high flyer with political aspirations. He appealed against the withdrtawal of the warrant, and Marianne Ny - the head prosecutor - over-ruled the retraction and re-issued a new warrant.

Yes, it is a smear; yes, it was a honeypot (which itself is amazing... I've known Assange - loosely - for a quarter century, and thought him far too canny to stick his wee-wee into any un-vetted froo-froo. For the record, what Israel Shamir said about JA - "kind, quiet, gentle, and even meek" - is a good summary).

Oddly, once the charges were re-instated, Assange (who has never formally been advised of the precise nature of the charges) was not held; he was permitted to leave Sweden (where an application for residency had been rejected).

Nothing will happen to Assange (or to about 78 folks who participate in the dead man's switch)... unless the major powers (and Israel) decide they are comfortable with Wikileaks doing a (Cheney does Plame)>9000internets ...  and outing the bulk of their clandestine assets, front companies and informants. They'll then spend a decade killing each other, while flailing about blindly.

The US is finished as a power. Best get over it and plan to be wearing a cup when folks come to get their kick in.

Cheerio

And the first accuser had a post on twitter or somewhere about 6 ways to get revenge on a man who has cheated on her. it was posted by her on 1/6/10. Google it. It is actually very, very scary to think that someone would seek revenge in the way that she claims.
Just google assange accuser revenge and then you will find it under radical women involved in false rape charge. It really is unbelievable.

Excellent remarks, sir, and please allow me to add another interesting article as an addendum to my previous remarks:

Swedish Prosecutor Marianne Ny, badly compromising civil rights by refusing to swiftly investigate case

The news that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was suspected of rape echoed around the globe. So strange that the woman filing the complaint did not herself claim she'd been raped. After the case was dismissed and then reopened, the case dossier - which is not public information - was published in the tabloid press. Chief prosecutor Marianne Ny, on special assignment to develop new methodologies for sex crime cases, has explained that this case can take a long time, possibly months. This is remarkable considering that in March of this year in a DN interview she stressed the importance of handling matters swiftly for sex crime cases.  That a prosecutor goes public with a suspicion and then neglects to swiftly investigate the suspicion must be in conflict with fundamental principles of civil rights. The Assange case should set off alarms. Is there an attitude about this type of crime which leads to fundamental civil rights being pushed aside? To swiftl y investigate the case should be simple. This is reasonably a matter of interrogating the parties, reviewing mail correspondence, things like that. Maybe a few hours work. Interrogations must obviously be held swiftly as people's memory is influenced and altered, particularly when the interrogations are published in the tabloids. Assange is being hung out as a suspected rapist and he's harmed by it. But this doesn't seem to bother Marianne Ny.

But it's BoA! This sucker has been ripe for picking for a long time. I'm sure both GS and JPM are chomping at the bit to steal the good pieces while using the bad ones to hide more of their toxic trash.

Given the way things have played out in the past, I'd say it's time to start watching BoA's CDS spread. If this is a scam, then the spread should blow out in advance of the leaks, as the insiders position for the kill.
