After hours of debates, the moment appears to have come: the vote to pass the budget, aka the "save the European senior bondhodlers" vote, is on the table and voting should commence imminently.

I hear faint gurgling sounds...like sovereignty being strangled.
Taking from grannies for the uberrich bondholders' holiday feasting.
Go ahead, lackeys.
"I hear faint gurgling sounds"
Those are from the hookers in the back chambers.

Hopefully the Irish are taking notes on who to hang for treason.
Well I hope americans are doing the same! Not likely though, theyre all lining up for IPad 2.0.
"In 1960, Inejiro Asanuma, chairman of "Japan Socialist Party" (JSP),was killed by 17-year- old boy. Japanese photographer Yasushi Nagao won the Pulitzer Prize for his photo of this assassination."

Rumor has it the Repukes cut a backroom deal to pass the Dream Act tomorrow. Wouldn't surprise me, the whole bunch appear to be doing whatever will bring the U.S. down the fastest. Not much concern for sovereignty issues in D.C. these days. Bunch of fucking traitors, both sides.
Wouldnt surprise me in the least!
what!? where do I line up?!
against the wall! Now serf!
Do you want a blindfold?
Do the buy algos have this vote programmed?
Whats going on in the treasury market?
They`re going to their fair price: zero.
QE2.0 will not be enough... QE3 of least US$2 trillion soon.
http://finviz.com/futures_charts.ashx?t=BONDS
No doubt... the flood of IOUs in the economy is sickening. And yet the moron algos think that judgement day for bonds is somehow bullish for stocks.
Ben Bukake gettin cornholed.
that is what I like to refer to as 'Reality of the situation'.
What's going on on the floor of the Irish parliment?
Expect it to pass.
However the Finance Bill and the Social Protection Bill will be presented separately over January.
It's like the lambs voting on how best to enter the slaughter house. Just line up and be patient no lamb will be left behind.
Isnt it more like the butchers voting on what their best and favorite cuts are?
You are just delaying the inevitable with this talk... Looks like you are the next lamb (sheep, dog, whatever :).
Speaking strictly as a fellow feline, there's nothing wrong with a side of dog. Not much meat as such, but it's tasty. Problem is dogs don't line up nearly as nicely as sheep. Some days it's just not worth the trouble of running them down.
How they can vote for it is just disgusting....has no one ANY balls in the entire world? A world of cowardly backstabbing thieves, vomitous, let me off this stupid ride!
The Irish war of independance was a waste of time.
Which one?
The one in the early 1900's
Probably.
Sure they've got balls, most likely on video with hookers or teenage boys with lots of drugs.
Now, how do rational people vote in that situation?
how are things going in iceland these days?
Thank goodness they rejected bailing out banks with public money and are out of recession.
What....Oh Ireland, not Iceland.
Iceland Breaks Out of Recessionhttp://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/08/business/global/08icecon.html?_r=1
Mere propaganda. More a hit on Eurozone than an assessment of Iceland's situation.
Iceland engineered their own crisis to benefit from it. Their manipulation of the Krona was their solution to cope with the consumption issue they had by living at the periphery of Europe.
They also designed an exit plan as they knew perfectly where they were heading for.
Nothing new in their ways, save they got away with their tactics. Their cockiness might call back retaliation though.
I think we know how this vote will go down. What is more interesting right now are Obama's comments per the tax rate extentions debate...which I thought was settled. His comments are of a nature to encourage his own members to hold with him on the proposal to extend all of those rates.
His comments...sound like...triangulation.
Methinks our President has gone out and claimed he had a deal on tax rate extensions...when maybe...just maybe...he had no such thing because of members of his own party.
Let the triangulation begin. Who wants to be the bag holder on this one?
Ground Control to Uncle Ben
Ground Control to Uncle Ben
Take your pomo pills and put your groove on
Ground Control to Uncle Ben
Commencing countdown, reflation on
Check ignition and may Timmay love be with you
QE ~ Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five,
Four, Three, Two, One, POMO ....
This is Ground Control to Uncle Ben
You've really made the grade
And the traders want to know whose bonds you buy
Now it's time to leave the markets if you dare
"This is Uncle Ben to the markets
I'm drop'n dollars through the door
And backstop'n in a most peculiar way
And the stocks look very different today
For here
Am I sitting in a blackhawk
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do but print away.....
In the tradition of Nero fiddling and the band playing on the Titanic.
So, let me get this straight. The Fed keeps buying massive amounts of treasuries, but the rates keep rising... and somehow that is bullish for stocks?
who cares about stocks?
Stocks are important simply because most moron american general public equate stock market=economy..(see HarryWanger)...and on their drive home they can hear 'the DOW was up', they pick up their McDonalds sack and all is well in the world as they look forward to an evening of TV and porn surfing.
Good Lord, I cannot stand how true this is. And Sheep's point is not lost on the MSM, who continue to report DOW and NASDAQ numbers on the news every day and night, as if they are indicators of anything meaningful to most folks. It's a lot of hot air signifying nothing.
The intelligent among us are doomed thanks to the ignorant.
Idiocracy ain't a pretty sight, my friend!
Go figure...
That`s it. The selling of the bonds have started.
When Ben have to decide to save the bonds or the stock market... we`ll see the crash. For now, the trend is up, up, up!
bonds already look like they are beginning the meltdown phase... stocks keep humming along though...
Well stocks are zombie-walking along under their pop-open pump...nothing spectacular certainly.
Indeed...that move on the 30 is pretty hairy. That might qualify as disorderly if it keeps falling into the close...which I believe it will based on the volume pouring into the TBT in the last hour. Maybe it is just time for old Ben to show us that 100% confidence thing.
Ooops...equity sell program now joining in the selloff....as the Euro drifts lower on this day in this freakin' hall of financial mirrors.
Absolutely!
Look, in nominal terms the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange has left everybody standing in the dust.
You know, one thing about Ireland, the people know they are being raped by the banks. We're lucky that's not a problem here....we should be able to pull off something like this without a lot of whining when the time comes.
All we have to do is keep the hammer down on the internet and make sure that some idiot peasant campaign doesn't go viral.
plus come up with some Ipad 3 which will eclipse everything
This appears to be just the beginning- they have broken the vote into Groups, there are approx. 10 groups to vote on. Voting won't be entirely finished until midnight their time 7 pm EST the 1st Group is being voted on now.
OH right...time for drinking games to commence...
How long does it take these cocksuckers to vote anyway?
It's hard to voice-vote when your mouth is full.
Quote of the day from the Irish Parliment:
Zing!
In your face!
OH no he DIDNT!!!
They should play TAPS in the background...
Well, the Irish can always sneak into Mexico and pick-up seasonal work harvesting marijuana. It's a cash economy and everyone is always ready to hire cheaper labor. The Irish had better get over there before the Spaniards beat them to it.
You'll know things are really bad when the US border patrol is catching Irishmen trying to sneak across from Mexico.
I think they have a special relationship, kinda like we have with the British Royal Family, the Rothschilds.
Vote with Bullets . Cheaper, faster and satisfying.
This is pretty vague... does this mean target practice? Shooting yourself? Shooting others? How does one vote with bullets exactly? A trick shot on the ballot next to the candidate of choice?
Kinda like Dodgeball for the candidates, only with high-speed lead! :>D
Great tongue in cheek!! Milestones
Another very bad day vor the world - of slaves. If we don't finish them they will kill us, maybe softly, however kill.
Probably just another head fake from Benny and Timmy. They have been shooting down these potential shitstorms like a 10 year old playing wack-a-mole for over two years now. But.....if it were to get out of control fast...this would be the way to do it! Someone needs to tell these Bankstas to go to hell. Might as well be the Irish. If it happens it would bring on a new meaning to the phrase "Kiss me I'm Irish"!
If they did that I would move there tomorrow, my family has only been gone about 100 years, I might be able to re integrate without to much trouble.
Nutz
Vote: "Approved" 82 over 78
I think they have a special relationship, kinda like we have with the English Royal Family, the Rothschilds.
Welcome to the first Rape ever televised in the history of the English language.
I have a rational desire to pull out all my teeth and fingernails when I listen to these retards.
God we wasted so much money on tosh and tat - we could have had a paddy moon base distilling whiskey with the unique taste of lunar regolith but for the amount of resources we eat to satisfy our irrational wants and desires.
I want to embrace austerity as long as we don't have to give those paddy parasites one red cent.
But alas we are just too stupid.
same as it ever was , same as it ever was.
A lost nation in a strange land of bungalows and roads to nowhere - we deserve nothing for such insane self flagellation.
We should never had ploughed up Navan to build another road to nowhere - the Fairies have marked us for debt , we are doomed.
Agricultural land bitches.
Take heart dork of Cork January is not far away.
I listened in earlier in the day to the debate in the Dail. I didn't catch the name of the Sinn Fein speaker but the man has passion and he made sense.
I was talking to one of my friends in Ireland the other day and while he doesn't understand how it happened but he does know it's the bankers and the politicians who are a fault. He knows the pension system is being raided etc.
He works as a security guard and is more informed about what's going on than most of the biz graduates on this side of he world. So I am optimistic come Jan.
Yea , he was pretty impressive - but the reality of fighting those bastards means they will try to crush us even more.
However when you are damned if you do and damned if you don't its best to fight.

TURN IT ALL THE WAY UP!
If I experience trouble at the pearly gates will I just give a few pieces of silver or is it best to repent my sins just before death.

The way things are going, about the only place you'll find any real silver will be at the pearly gates.
Did they vote, or kick the can?
