Israel Issues Warning To Citizens To Immediately Leave Sinai Peninsula, "Terror Attack Imminent"
Are things between Israel and Egypt about to get really heated?

JERUSALEM (BNO NEWS) -- Israel's anti-terror bureau warned on Tuesday that a terror attack in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula is imminent and all Israelis must leave the region. The warning message said, quoting intelligence sources, that a terror attack in which Israelis could be kidnapped is imminent, Israeli media reported. "We call on all Israelis now in Sinai to leave at once and return to Israel," the warning said. "Families of Israelis now in Sinai are requested to make contact and update them of this travel warning."

Israel has issued an "urgent" warning to its citizens to leave Egypt's Sinai Peninsula immediately.
It comes after "concrete evidence" of an expected terror attempt to kidnap Israelis in the region.
The warning was issued by the Israeli prime minister's office.
It took the unusual step of calling on families of Israelis touring the Sinai to contact them.
Israel's anti-terror office has a standard travel advisory telling Israelis to stay out of the Sinai desert because of the threat of terror attacks.
However, thousands of Israelis routinely ignore the warning and go on holiday in the desert and along its Red Sea coast.
Egyptian security officials said about 35,000 Israelis are in the Sinai now, and they expected thousands more to arrive later this month.
In the unusually strong statement, the Israeli anti-terror office called "on all Israelis residing in Sinai to leave immediately and return home".
Families of Israelis residing in Sinai are being asked to contact them and update them on the travel warning.
In 2004, suicide bombers attacked Egypt's Taba Hilton Hotel, just across the Israeli border, and several campsites where Israelis are known to stay on holiday.
Dozens of people were killed and hundreds wounded.
Israel controlled the Sinai from its capture in the 1967 war until returning it to Egypt in 1982 in the framework of a peace treaty between the two nations.

A statement from the Afghan Taliban covered on the RIA Novosti web site suggests that the real goal of the US-NATO offensive in Marjah-Helmand is to attack Chinese economic interests in Pakistani Baluchistan, and especially the port of Gwadar, one of China’s largest overseas projects. If the US can push the Taliban into Pakistani Baluchistan and into the area around Gwadar, they will have a pretext for militarization – perhaps through Blackwater mercenaries, who are already operating massively in Pakistan, or perhaps through direct US military involvement in the zone. US jackboots on the ground in Baluchistan would interfere mightily with Chinese economic development plans. They would also allow the US to commandeer Gwadar as the home port of a new NATO supply line into southern Afghanistan, allowing the avoidance of the Khyber Pass bottleneck. The US could also use Baluchistan as a springboard for bigger and better terror ops into Iran, electronic surveillance of Iranian activities, and so forth.
The US and NATO had evidently planned a double envelopment of Baluchistan, with Taliban fighters from Helmand arriving from the north, while the Jundullah escalated their own activity on the ground. Now that Rigi has joined his brother in Iranian jails, Jundullah has been decapitated, and the NATO strategy has consequently been undermined. Iran has bagged a dangerous terrorist foe. Another winner is Pakistan, where The Dawn celebrated the capture of Rigi as “a godsend” and “a lucky break” for Pakistan. By helping Rigi to fall into Iranian hands, Pakistan may have finally found an effective way to counter the US-UK strategy, which notoriously aims at the breakup and partition of Pakistan. The coming Iranian trial of Rigi may go far towards exposing the real mechanism of terrorism in today’s world, with the CIA sitting in the dock next to Rigi.

Enough gloom and doom. Here is a funny true story. Before Israel gave Sinai back to Egypt, many Mercedes taxis were stolen in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and even though israel is a very tiny area, they never found any of them.
