He had a criminal drug conviction.  My guess is the Army did not want him.  High school friends said he is/was a pot head.  He was into flag burning and no Tea Party member is interested in flag burning because it is infantile or reading The Communist Manaifesto or Mein Kampf.  The NY Times spews the same crap anyway particularly Frank Rich.

Poor guy's grasp of English is so weak, talking about his grammatical errors is a waste of time. Compare Ted K., the Unibomber.... now there was a man with a considered opinion and an art for expressing it. (See back issue of Wired for his "Manifesto".)

Jared Lee seems like a dimwit. I don't think he's "crazy" (whatever that means). He's just a confused simpleton - presumably, a highly pissed one.

But I don't like the way our media masters feel they have to shield us from the facts. Though I guess a big deal will be now made of Mein Kampf and Marx. Very spicy tidbit, that, I guess.

BTW, the Okie bomber was interviewed by genius author Gore Vidal, I think. (Or at least Vidal wrote a good book about McVeigh.)

I think it was Vidal who said that in the US we have a free press ... but only for those who own a printing press.

May the gods bless Vidal with a much longer life. (He's old and frail, now.)

Why am I even talking about Jared Lee? The entire world is going down the shitter and we will hear only about this lone shooter until some new sensation arises.

I've really enjoyed the discussion of this and other matters at ZH. Very high caliber stuff. Thanks! Long live Zero. There's hope for the nation, yet. (A very small bit of hope.)

Where I come from we normally assume someone is crazy when they shoot into a crowd of people. If this is a measure of how pissed simpletons behave, then we're all in a shit load of trouble.

I'm much amused.

But yes, I'm afraid we are in a shit load of trouble.

If you had talked to Jared on the day before, I bet you'd have taken him to be just another a mixed up kid.

Where I come from (S.F.), there are some real loonies. And when I meet them, I have few doubts about the correct classification.

Your job is to be a bad judge without the whole story. The guy shot and killed a 9 year old, what the fuck is wrong with you?

Nothing wrong with him. There were number of kids in Sodom and Gomorrah. So what? They did not survive. Why? Because there were no 10 righteous people there:

"God reveals to Abraham that he will investigate Sodom and Gomorrah, because their cry is great, "and because their sin is very grievous."[20:21] In response, Abraham reverently inquires of God if he would spare the city if 50 righteous people were found in it, then 45, then 40, then 30, then 20 or even 10, with God affirming he would not destroy it after each request, for the sake of the righteous yet dwelling therein."

USA does not have EVEN ONE righteous human. If God have decided to punish USA for an oil and computer idolatries,  He probably can use their own words from pharisees:

"49But one of them, Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, ‘You know nothing at all! 50You do not understand that it is better for you to have one man die for the people than to have the whole nation destroyed.’"

It does not matter how many semi-brained, digital-brained, half-brained etc people the Angel of God will direct to WARN the ex-USA.

Maybe this extreme event will force Obama's gang to think TWICE before continuing their "policy".

I'm one. I'm right here and completely support people carrying. If there was one or more carrying there, perhaps they wouldn't have had to wait for him to empty his weapon before being tackled. If there was an alert and packing person(s), perhaps this bat-shit crazy, section-8.666, stark-raving-mad, grade-A, Number one, Ichi-ban, crazy motherfucker wouldn't have gotten a shot off, wounding anyone, much less killing a child. Maybe he would have thought twice knowing that entering an area where a large %age of people could be carrying would be a bad idea, and thus never went to commit this heinous act.

Controlling guns only controls law abiding citizens. So go fuck yourself six ways to saturday and twice on sunday (sideways).

Poor example - police are thinking "Offense".  Citizen carrying is thinking "Defense".  Unless the shooter is a seasoned practitioner, the time they take to aim/fire/aim - would give plenty of time for a defensive minded practitioner to draw, aim and shoot before 4 well placed shots are made by the bad guy.

The fact is that nobody armed or not, likely could have stopped him from shooting the first few people -- even armed to the teeth, the element of surprise is in the assailants favor.  The fact Arizona is a state that allows concealed carry, didn't seem to deter him much.  I for one do not feel safer in a situation where everyone is carrying a gun, all it takes is for an armed person to have a bad day & it's lights out for some innocent victim.

"Starting later this summer [2010], U.S. citizens 21 and older can begin carrying a concealed firearm without a permit in Arizona."

And as an Arizona resident, it doesn't bother me at all whether law abiding people carry openly or concealed.  And criminals won't obey the law anyway.

Carry laws are not designed to make you feel more or less safe.  I personally couldn't carry any less how safe you feel when I carry a handgun.  The point of the law is that I feel safer carrying, and if you were willing to dedicate the time and money to become proficient with a handgun, you too, could feel safer carrying.

I agree with posters above that if multiple persons had been carrying at the rally, in all liklihood, one of their bullets would have found the shooter and stopped his rampage sooner.

What do our elected public servants expect to happen to them when they manufacture utter hopelessness for such a large scale of our population?

20%+ unemployment. Families being foreclosed on by the millions. No hope of productive prosperous lives for millions of young people. 43+ million people on food stamps. Out of control inflation in the price of education, healthcare, food and energy, etc.

Bailouts and laws passed to benefit the rich wealthy elite and special interests. Putting we the people under a constant state of surveillance, getting the US into senseless wars killing and maiming many of our men on the battlefield and bankrupting our country chasing the boogieman.

Public servants refusing to discuss real issues of importance to many of us like the controlled demolition of building 7. Agenda 21, Codex Alimentarius, the police state feeling us up and irradiating us at airports, leaving the corporate controlled media in charge of the talking point memos and continually trying to socially engineer freedom out of our lives, etc.

Our elected servants have given the American people more than enough reasons to take matters into our own hands exacting our own form of justice because our government delivers none on our behalf. No banksters jailed for fraud and ruining our economy and our lives etc.

The French people had a unique way to deal with unruly public servants, guillotines!  It will come to guillotines and the killing of many more public servants if they don't get on the side of Main Street Americans real soon and respect our Constitution.

The American people need no more reasons, given to us by our elected servants, to take matters into our own hands. It is amazing we have been so restraind, giving them the benefit of the doubt for so long. No more. What is going to happen now has been 100% expected and there is nothing the control freak government can do about it.

What do they expect? When people lose everything, they lose it.

Sun, 01/09/2011 - 00:13 | 860921 Zero Debt
Zero Debt's picture

Regarding the videos:

1) In one video, he states "I wouldn't pay any debts that aren't denominated in gold and silver". Hence, he is clearly an advocate of a bimetallic (gold/silver) backed currency. Obviously he is therefore against fiat currencies. Therefore, logically, he would have to be against the USD. Therefore, he would probably also be against its issuer, the Federal Reserve, and its distributor, the US Treasury.

2) In the linked page above, the video both tries to illustrate that something is zero and can go to one, can also go to two and there. If it can go to 3, it can go to 700 billion and 4 trillion as well. He mentions that the time series of A.D.E. never ends. The question is, will the issuance of currency never end.

3) He is dreaming about a new currency. He says that there are only 5% dreamers in America. This implies that he concludes that a majority does not think this way. Combine that with his interest in the Animal Farm. It is not a stretch to conclude that the rest of the 95% using the old currency are living on the animal farm.

4) He illustrates that creating a currency is extremely simple. Anyone who can construct their own grammar can do it, so to speak.

5) He is "thinking of adding the 1 new symbol to the current alphabet". To that, most people would respond, 'well that's crazy, why would you add another letter'. But at the same time, most people accept that new money is added to the money supply. So, if it is crazy to add a new letter to the alphabet, then wouldn't it be crazy to add new money to the money supply?

6) He uses the phrase "unconstitutional money". Coinage act anyone?

7) He distinguishes distributing a currency "lethally" and "non-lethally" to people. The notion of competing means of debt payment comes to mind here.

4) He illustrates that creating a currency is extremely simple. Anyone who can construct their own grammar can do it, so to speak.

He studied grammar and found out that grammar contains factual elements. He saw them everywhere. Most of his points are built on the same pattern, the one you underline.

Notice though that the pattern is rejected when he moved to a US army boot camp. The Army built its own grammar of reality when handing out that mini bible but the killer did not fit in.

Will probably be sold as a deranged. Looks more like a guy who got overwhelmed by what he discovered. James Isaac Newton, for example, got overwhelmed by what he discovered, leading him to see the world organized only around what he discovered.

Was Newton a psychotic? I dont know.

"Etiquette" lessons aside, scratch_and_sniff hit the nail on the head:

“Essentially, it would be beyond comprehension and totally unheard of (but oh so very welcome) to see tanks firing on the halls of Congress or the use of wholesale executions and ad hoc firing squads to rapidly eliminate all those pork filled pedophiles who always seem to pop up like pesky cockroaches when the feeding frenzy light is lit.”

Thanks for pulling my words out of context. Humor and sarcasm are your friend you know. Now we all know who's a paid agent around here because this is classic psyops technique. Maybe I'm a sarcastic European, but adding Mein Kampf at the end of the a of books of which half of them are children stories tells me he was being funny and just wanted to trigger a reaction from anybody who would see it.

The fact they focus on that one is pretty silly.

ps: In my silver collection I have all the silver 2 & 5 Hindenburg coins which all have a Nazi swastica. I also have a large bronze plate which has the written speech of Hiterl at Nürenberg from 1937 with the autograph of Adolph Hitler which used to hang at the entrance at Nürenberg during the war.

I also have 1 of the silver birthday coins that Hindenburg had made for Hitler from 1938. For the rest, I have a collection of 9 official document seal stampers of the  Berlin SS, a Luger, a small collection of WOII medals and a few books about the doctrine of the 3th reich.

And guess what, I'm not a nazi, just a collector.

The plain obvious is that neither the right or the left, both groups, offers a path to a nation ruled by the individual.

Claiming that nazis were not right wing is just what the guy got obsessed with: bringing a new grammar to substitute a fabricated version of reality to reality.

The phrasing "a nation ruled by the individual" is also antinomic. But who cares when people want group organized societies?
