Jesse Ventura's "Conspiracy Theory": Wall Street
In this segment, Jesse Ventura, former Minnesota governor, takes on the boys at Goldman Sachs. As he leaves the room, he tells them, "And I'll keep fighting for the little guy and kick your asses." In parts 1 and 2, also very much worth watching, Jesse Ventura interviews the GATA Chairman Bill Murphy, Bill Black, and Matt Taibbi. You can easily find parts 1 and 2 on YouTube.

Bingo!
I saw the show. Those white shoe boys are psychopaths and need to be neutralized. Jesse Ventura for enlightened despot!
Their commands must be terminated. Probably with extreme prejudice.
"need to be neutralized"
There is a HUGE difference between "need to be" and "will be" and that sir is the problem. We can all sit around and talk about what "needs to be done"; in the end, NOTHING will come out of it. Mark my words! At the end of the day, the criminals know nothing will be done----and rest assured---NOTHING WILL BE DONE!
That Sir, was the point I've been making to Tyler Durden et al. We can talk all day about how corrupt, how digusting, how unethical these frauds are but nothing ever changes. At the end of the day, these white shoes laugh out loud, as they watch the common person wallow in the mire and talk about their deeds. They laugh, we cry. End of story. Now, I ask you, WHEN will someone do something about it?
claims that cia is embedded in state governments,

Love Ventura, heard him on Howard many times. Smart man, good American. Someone will probably kill him....

They better bring some big firepower. Ventura is an ex Navy SEAL. Good luck with that one.
They may, but I have this suspicion the loss ratio will be at least 3:1.
If it makes you feel better to make that statement, great----doesn't change a thing sorry to say! The criminals laugh like school boyz (sticks and stones) but they know words will never hurt them----they have thick skins----and "words" is all they will ever get.
You are 100% correct. Paulson went in front of Congress with Neel Kashkari and robbed America. They got a blank check to whoever. Hank got a pat on the back from Bush. Bush, "Hek of a Job saving America, Hank."
NOTHING will become of it. They got away with the largest crime ever. And the discussion has changed to tax breaks so they can keep it all.
Don't be fooled by the political "rouge"; this is not political---politics is used for the the us -vs- them game to distract the public while the "elites" rob the taxpayers. Goldman Sachs is largely a progressive, democrat organization but I don't say that only progressives/democrats are at fault----this is NOT political. While it may be true that progressives want to collapse the system in order to have Marxist/Communist rule, at the end of the day, the elites that are robbing America simply co-opt the progressives to accomplish their goals so don't ever think that the real criminals really care who "appears" to be in control; they simply co-opt whoever is in power to rape and pillage.
Also, remember that republicans voted 100% against the bailouts; the democrat/progressive controlled congress voted almost 100% for it. While Bush went along with it, his party did not. At the end of the day, the democrats/progressives funded by organizations like Goldman Sachs want an "elite" marxist government and a society of haves and have nots. That is not a republican platform, it is a progressive/democrat platform.
Please, stop with the Marxist crap. You are using it to perpetuate fear.
It's abundantly clear you've never bother to read Das Kapital. Because, if you had, you would reluctantly agree with his observations. Why? Because his observations/predictions are coming true, right now, in slow motion.
Your understanding of 'Communist' is similarly weak and a perfect reflection of cold war rhetoric. At least update your rhetoric to something vaguely 2010 by including gold and multiple layers of Federal Reserve paranoia.
FYI, Check out all of those Communist cooperatives selling agriculture products and those evil Communists at REI. They're everywhere in America. Aggghhh!!!
The practice of marxist theories is frightful. Please see Soviet Union, North Korea, Cuba as reference. If its not so, then you shouldn't mind a bit of daylight.
The Matrix is one of my favorite movies. I even use quotes from the matrix occasionally.
Does that means that it is real? Neo is the one true savior? Just because you enjoy the rantings of a mad man does not make it true.
There are many trekkies out there. Does that makes Star Trek real? Similarly, because many have adapted his theories (and all have failed disastrously so far) it does not make his theories valid. Just popular. With the Dictator crowd none the less. So much for power to the people.
Yet, you dont venture in explaining why is weak. Should be easy if is weak right?
Yeah, because the Agricultural Coops and REI are centrally controlled by the omnipotent government not voluntary organizations making money.
Most of the so called "Communist" countries are actually oligarchies established by "strong men" using "communist" dogma for crowd control.
From what I know of Marx, today he would make that observation himself.
Note: I am not an expert on Marx.
Also, try a study of "The True Beliver" by Eric Hoffer. It is a thin book packed with observations relevant to the issue of societal change. One of his other little books, "The Ordeal of Change", is worth a read also.
Both are very relevant to the time we are in.
Get a grip and grow up, goldsaver.
And read all the volumes of Das kapital as well, illiterate douchey.
You are remarking on totalitarianism, and you people all seem to love the Chinese Totalitarian Capitalist State and America's Corporate Fascist State, neither having anything to do with Marx's writings.
You, goldsaver, are an idiot.
sgt_boshivek there is no love of the Chinese state on this site. That is pure BS.
thanks for answering that 'bot, one gets eternally tired of them and their pre-programmed drivel.
And they always respond with some "free market" claptrap, equating that anti-American zionist, T. Friedman with Marx, Prof. Michael Hudson, Karl Polanyi, John Kenneth Galbraith, and his son Prof. James Galbraith, and the rest of the real economists out there.
Everyone who has read all of the volumes of Marx realizes he never believed it would get so bad and fraudulent as it has become today: instead of investment capital underlying industry, it has been used to criminally replace it in America and elsewhere.
Fair enough. While I am not using it to perpetuate "fear", I acknowledge that at the end of the day, the terminology is worthless---the words get spewed so much everyday it is hard not to sometimes let it enter the lexicon.
With that said, if the government would have let capitalism work, we would not have this problem. Whether that is Marxism, Communism, or just plain stupidity, whatever you want to call it----just let the free market work. In the end, that is what really matters. The problem is now the government has meddled for so long, the only obvious solutions are government control----the precise reason we in this mess and it is only getting worse on an exponential scale.
Hey, that was a really mature response. You don't see that so often on anonymous internet boards where everyone is a tough guy. Very refreshing.
"Someone will probably kill him..."
Actually, that is what makes this whole story even more interesting. The fact is the cat is out of the bag----most of the public KNOWS the system is corrupt, yet, as long as they get their share and their 401ks "go up", they don't care. I am amazed (actually dumbfounded, actually there are no words SPEECHLESS), that family, friends, associates, etc., just look at you with a blank stare when you explain to them just how corrupt the system really is----they just DON'T CARE as long as their 401k's "go up"---yes, they like it when their 401k "goes up". Douche bags, all of them.
At the end of the day, Jesse has nothing to worry about because everyone knows the system is corrupt, consciously or sub-consciously----they just don't care and that is the problem. You see, the criminals that run Goldman Sachs and our country know that even though the public knows they are corrupt, it doesn't matter. The irony is the publics awareness of the corruption actually makes it easier on these criminals to conduct business because when buying off politicians, etc., all they have to say is "everyone knows" and the politician figures he has good company so "why not".
I am not saying that we should not keep trying to educate the most ignorant public to ever walk the face of the earth about the system; what I am saying is at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter---the "public" is corrupt. The "smart" money at Goldman Sachs knows that regardless of what they do, there will be no negative consequences, so they just "laugh off" people like Jesse who have good motives but do not realize that regardless of what is said, NOTHING will be done.
I feel your pain. I experience the same thing on a daily basis talking to average people who have been brain washed by the media, by seeing the DOW go up and UP on a daily basis. The fact is, as you said, as long as people's 401k INCREASES, no matter the consequences or moral considerations, they don't care. Why? Because Joe Schmoe is as corrupt as anyone on Wall Street when money is involved. I guarantee it.
You tell me, if you ask anyone who is unemployed right now, if they received a "bonus" check out of the clear blue from the Treasury for $10k, how many would complain and call them up to tell them they made a mistake! They know the money comes from somewhere -- from taxpayers -- but who cares? RIGHT?!
Fact is, money corrupts absolutely as power corrupts. Period. We have entered a new period in human history. I doubt the financial world will stand more than a few weeks longer.
Keep the faith and spread the truth!
I've been trying to do my part. I posted on fb a chart of spx/cci; and said, "This is how your 401K is REALLY performing. Still feeling warm and fuzzy?"
alot like the silver owners who are suddenly quietly watching their holdings double?
This may be a little unfair - the question is what can we do about it except keep whining? Hopefully Dylan Ratigan will keep up his coverage, he is about the only person who is at least trying to get the information out there.
Beck is picking up the ball and running with it. He has been ripping the FED for QE2 (of course he is schooled by his Gold Dealer sponsors), and he has a warm spot for George Soros who is going to get his ass reamed on tomorrow's show (11/9/2010).
does Beck say anything about big banks corruption?
Be careful with Beck, from my view he plays with some rebel stuff just to lead people into a quagmire...see his rally...could have talked about corruption, manipulated markets, cpature regulators instead, got religious and sent everyone home all peaceful like
Yeah, he is actually talking about the banksters, FED, Soros, Goldman Sachs, NWO, etc... He has yet to go into the Bilderberg Group, CFR, Rothchilds, Rockefellers, etc..

Jesse just got junked by Horowitcz:
"It’s easy to laugh at these conspiracy theories, and maybe watch Jesse Ventura’s new show about them, “just for laughs.” However, as memorably laid out in one of my favorite books — The Cost of Deception: The Seduction of Modern Myths and Urban Legends, by John A. Williams — conspiracy theories, far from being harmless fun, actually pollute the public square."
http://www.newsrealblog.com/2010/11/08/tin-foil-turbans-the-6-stupidest-...
I never paid a whole lot of attention to Hrowitcz.
Now I know why. The guy is kind of a jackoff.
I would imagine the 'pollution of the public square' starts with the people that want these sorts of things debunked.
While I've watched a couple of Jesse's shows and [not] been impressed, most anybody (particularly on this site) would recognize much of what Jesse brought up in the GATA piece has already been confirmed repeatedly by othes and at earlier times.
I agree. I would include homeowners (or, more accurately, mortgage owners) with their zero-down mortgages. Which are still done today, when you include the give-backs. And don't forget those with pensions.
I have a friend who recently retired as a firefighter in California, after only working full time for about five years. Now, the back injury is legitimate. But the retirement package is, get this, $3,500 a month, for life. And it's all tax free. That's a sweet gig for only a few years of work.
You never hear about that in the Press, even when the news is forced to report on fire and police pensions. No wonder California is in such a mess.
I don't mean to belittle disabling injuries, but I saw a commercial for a state agency which helped place disabled individuals to jobs. The commercial had a guy in a Steven Hawking type wheelchair, smiling and solving problems for his boss. If there are jobs out there for quadrapalegics, who is truly "unable to work"?
People who are born disabled want to enter the workforce, while those who become disabled don't?
The insurance company pays me too much to want to work and I collect SS.
I have to agree. I've worked with (as in, earned money at a job beside) blind people.
break my legs and pay me and I'll sit around and write novels for my own gain.. that is the american wet dream...
