I have to admit though I do not idolize Assange and even consider he may be an earnest tool for various intelligence interests this long delay in this banking info really lowers his faction in my mind the longer it is put off. I am more ready to see corruption in relation to banking info release than any other topic, and its abscence bothers me greatly having announced it would be forthcoming.
Will he choose to destablize the banks with this info by timing it correctly or will he choose to stabalize and control the deflation caused by a controled destruction over time of chosen banking interests?

In the latest in a series of blows to Wikileaks, PayPal says it will no longer support money transfers to the whistleblower site.
PayPal has posted a (late-night) statement to its website, saying: "PayPal has permanently restricted the account used by WikiLeaks due to a violation of the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy, which states that our payment service cannot be used for any activities that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity. We've notified the account holder of this action."
PayPal's announcement follows Wikileaks' loss of its DNS server today and its ousting from Amazon Web Services earlier this week. This comes on the heels of the recent release by Wikileaks of another round of leaked documents - 250,000 U.S. diplomatic cables.
PayPal isn't the only way to donate to Wikileaks. You can make a bank transfer or send money directly by mail. But certainly sending money online via PayPal has become one of the easiest and most routine ways for folks to make all sorts of online donations.
It's not the first time Wikileaks has run into trouble with PayPal either, as the organization had its account temporarily frozen earlier this year.
PayPal's announcement will certainly result in a loss of donation dollars for Wikileaks. But it also marks an important symbolic loss for the organization as well, as it represents yet another major private tech company that has closed its doors to Wikileaks. In addition to those who've refused to provide Wikileaks with hosting and financial services, the visualization company Tableau Software also expunged all Wikileaks content from its site.
Although these companies have said that their terms of service forbid the support or facilitation of illegal activity, such pronouncements about Wikileaks are debatable. While it is a crime to leak classified information, receiving and publishing it is not.

The official Twitter account for Wikileaks has posted a press release this evening drawing a comparison between the controversial rhetoric from public figures that some believe contributed to the attempted assassination on Saturday of Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and the even more explicit calls from public officials for violence against Wikileaks spokesperson Julien Assange and others. The organization called for public figures making such calls to violence to be arrested and charged with crimes.
Assange is attributed the following quote in the release: "No organisation anywhere in the world is a more devoted advocate of free speech than Wikileaks but when senior politicians and attention seeking media commentators call for specific individuals or groups of people to be killed they should be charged with incitement -- to murder. Those who call for an act of murder deserve as significant share of the guilt as those raising a gun to pull the trigger." The release pointed to specific high-profile calls for Assange's assasination by Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee and others and concluded with a link to the website PeopleOKwithMurderingAssange.com

The whole thing looks like a bit of a circus to me, orchestrated to gain maximum publicity for the "Tax Justice Network". John Christenson's TJN is a virtual subsidiary of the British Labour Party and for them to proclaim at their press conference that they "hope people can make the connection between these sorts of financial activity and the cuts to social programs" is totally self-serving and disingenuous...
BTW, bring on some cuts! And whatever happened to financial privacy in all this?

So, let me get this straight. Even though the middle and lower classes make up the majority of the population, it's drilled into all of us that the elite are the ones pumping money into the country though purchases, taxes, etc. However, 2,000 of those elite don't even bother to pay taxes, so money is NOT going back into the system. Gee, go figure.
Well, I'm sure if we give the elite even more benefits and tax breaks they'll be sure to start paying their taxes immediately. See, the trickle down effect does work!! The debts of the elite continue to trickle down to the general populous. (end sarcasm)

Well Elmer, Julian, I'm interested and I'm waiting for a good explanation. I'm not exactly sure how I can be enlightened without the disclosure of individuals however. I think a few politicians skirts being ripped off would be very enlightening, healthy for the country and really just plain fun. This has the potential to be some badly needed antiseptic poured over the face of the world, but my cynically jaded side of me is tap tap tapping on my shoulder.
