And here's a quick reminder to those "evil government steals our income" tax cheating people, from Monty Python's "Life of Brian":

Reg: The PFJ hates the Romans! They've bled us white, the bastards. They've taken everything we had, and not just from us, from our fathers, and from our fathers' fathers.
Stan: And from our fathers' fathers' fathers!
Reg: Yeah.
Stan: And from our fathers' fathers' fathers' fathers!
Reg: All right Stan, don't belabour the point. And what have they ever given us in return?!
Man: The aqueduct?
Reg: What?
Man: The aqueduct.
Reg: Oh yeah, yeah, that they've given us, yeah, that's true, yeah.
Man: And the sanitation.
Stan: Oh, yeah, the sanitation, Reg. Remember what the city used to be like.
Reg: Yeah, all right, I grant you, the aqueduct and the sanitation are two things the Romans have done.
Mathias: And the roads!
Reg: Well, yeah, obviously the roads. I mean, the roads go without saying, don't they! But apart from the sanitation, the aqueduct and the roads...
Man: Irrigation.
Man: Medicine.
Man: Education!
Reg: Yeah, yeah, all right, fair enough.
Man: And the wine.
All: Yeah, yeah, the wine!
Francis: Yeah! yeah, that's something we'd really miss, Reg, if the Romans left.
Man: Public baths.
Stan: And it's safe to walk in the streets at night now, Reg.
Francis: Yeah, they certainly like to keep order. I suppose they're the only ones who could in a place like this!
Reg: Yeah, all right, but apart from the sanitation, the medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us!?
Man: Brought peace.
Reg: Oh, peace. Shut up!

Not even that.  This action obviously aids the tax collectors not the tax evaders no matter to which side one cedes the ethical high ground.

What the hell happened to his big B of A bombshell anyway? Did I miss something?

I have to admit though I do not idolize Assange and even consider he may be an earnest tool for various intelligence interests this long delay in this banking info really lowers his faction in my mind the longer it is put off. I am more ready to see corruption in relation to banking info release than any other topic, and its abscence bothers me greatly having announced it would be forthcoming.

Will he choose to destablize the banks with this info by timing it correctly or  will he choose to stabalize and control the deflation caused by a controled destruction over time of chosen banking interests?

It's just a useless display. Shepards slaughtering THEIR sheep as a display. Kind of freaky though. Like how they are going to let wesley snipes out after 2012 is over. Knowing our asses will be either sheeped or gone by then.

CH1's picture

I don't think it is useless... it reduces the hypnotic belief in the legitimacy of the current meta-regime. That is good.

Sabremesh's picture

"Shepards?"

This may seem overly-sensitive, but it actually hurts my eyes whenever I have to read this. It's a "shepherd" - it may be easier to remember if you consider the etymology of the word, namely, someone whose job it is to "herd" sheep.

Two thousand outsiders being culled by the insiders.

Never forget that high crime (a.k.a "the ponzi"... a.k.a "banking") is a game of privilege. When outsiders either outweigh insiders, or cause undue risk to the insiders (see "Madoff". Also see "Lehman") they are culled to preserve the security of those higher up on the food chain.

This is a net positive step, but these are the lowliest rungs on the ladder. (I.e. "politicians")

"The FBI has reportedly raided a Texas web host and worked with international authorities to search servers in pursuit of the anonymous leaders of the group Anonymous, who blocked the website of PayPal earlier this month in retribution to the company's decision to stop its customers from making donations to Wikileaks. That according to an affidavit posted in part by the legal watchdog website The Smoking Gun today. Dallas host Tailor Made Services was raided on the 16th of December, the site reported.

"These coordinated attacks, investigators allege," writes The Smoking Gun, "amount to felony violations of a federal law covering the 'unauthorized and knowing transmission of code or commands resulting in intentional damage to a protected computer system.'" How several hours of inaccessibility constituted damage to the system was not described in the part of the affidavit posted online."

In the latest in a series of blows to Wikileaks, PayPal says it will no longer support money transfers to the whistleblower site.

PayPal has posted a (late-night) statement to its website, saying: "PayPal has permanently restricted the account used by WikiLeaks due to a violation of the PayPal Acceptable Use Policy, which states that our payment service cannot be used for any activities that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity. We've notified the account holder of this action."

PayPal's announcement follows Wikileaks' loss of its DNS server today and its ousting from Amazon Web Services earlier this week. This comes on the heels of the recent release by Wikileaks of another round of leaked documents - 250,000 U.S. diplomatic cables.

PayPal isn't the only way to donate to Wikileaks. You can make a bank transfer or send money directly by mail. But certainly sending money online via PayPal has become one of the easiest and most routine ways for folks to make all sorts of online donations.

It's not the first time Wikileaks has run into trouble with PayPal either, as the organization had its account temporarily frozen earlier this year.

PayPal's announcement will certainly result in a loss of donation dollars for Wikileaks. But it also marks an important symbolic loss for the organization as well, as it represents yet another major private tech company that has closed its doors to Wikileaks. In addition to those who've refused to provide Wikileaks with hosting and financial services, the visualization company Tableau Software also expunged all Wikileaks content from its site.

Although these companies have said that their terms of service forbid the support or facilitation of illegal activity, such pronouncements about Wikileaks are debatable. While it is a crime to leak classified information, receiving and publishing it is not.

The official Twitter account for Wikileaks has posted a press release this evening drawing a comparison between the controversial rhetoric from public figures that some believe contributed to the attempted assassination on Saturday of Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and the even more explicit calls from public officials for violence against Wikileaks spokesperson Julien Assange and others. The organization called for public figures making such calls to violence to be arrested and charged with crimes.

Assange is attributed the following quote in the release: "No organisation anywhere in the world is a more devoted advocate of free speech than Wikileaks but when senior politicians and attention seeking media commentators call for specific individuals or groups of people to be killed they should be charged with incitement -- to murder. Those who call for an act of murder deserve as significant share of the guilt as those raising a gun to pull the trigger." The release pointed to specific high-profile calls for Assange's assasination by Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee and others and concluded with a link to the website PeopleOKwithMurderingAssange.com

Ben Fulford in his blog last week (10/1/10) had indicated that major arrests will be made ( with names such as Ban ki Moon amongst others).

http://benjaminfulford.typepad.com/benjaminfulford/

Now i as usual would have disregarded this fantastical tale, but this recent Julius Baer leak about 2000 names is intriguing...its almost like some people are using Wikileaks as a front to arrest famous people...without causing widespread chaos....( now thats a conspiracy theory).

This will be confirmed if one of the 2000 names in Ban ki Moon...

War Diary: Iraq War Logs

2010-10-22

The 391,832 reports (’The Iraq War Logs’), document the war and occupation in Iraq, from 1st January 2004 to 31st December 2009 (except for the months of May 2004 and March 2009) as told by soldiers in the United States Army. Each is a ’SIGACT’ or Significant Action in the war. They detail events as seen and heard by the US military troops on the ground in Iraq and are the first real glimpse into the secret history of the war that the United States government has been privy to throughout.

Video: Collateral Murder

2010-04-05

WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad — including two Reuters news staff. Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-sight, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded.
