In the event of any Dow drop of more than 100 points
BTFD Bitchez
PPT makes the circuit breakers a mute point.
More likely to get your hand pregnant while wearing a condom!
Moot. Not mute.

Thanks Professor Iriestx - especially for the links to help with what was an obvious error.
However, does'nt an alarm go off when a circuit is broken.
An alarm that won't go off and therefore never be heard.
Hence, a "mute" point.
Like my attempt to cover?
don't you dare cover those up, best i've seen here yet.
Wait'll you see Speedy's bouncing avatar! :>D
Never attribute to grammatical ignorance what you can attribute to poor punnery.
Wait, all trades will be disallowed!
down 2% - welcome to last week
Coffee? Well I guess if 'coffee' is in reference to lines of coke mixed with Xanax....OK theyre coffee breaks then.
1200 point drop against Fed's forces ? Possible in a flash crash, but not happening in a "normal" market as defined by The Bernank.
Bernanke: I need a stock market crash to justify QEx
Banker: OK... I'll call the CME to make sure I don't get kicked out
Bernanke: Make sure we don't hit the breakers until I'm ready
Banker: Make sure you pay me more for the last few QE2 transactions
Bernanke: OK
In the event of a 1200-POINT gain in the DJIA (10 percent), regardless of the time, MARKET ENTERS THE BONUS ROUND. All advances earn double-points (triple-points for HFT gains) and market remains open for an extra hour. Additionally, all participants earn one free 8-ball of coke.
BINGO LOL!!
+100 HAHAHAHA
The Fed will keep it under 9.9% - Rule 80B kept in check
BTW I figured for this day of announced inflation shipments from China, you might enjoy viewing 'The people of Walmart'
YouTube - People Of Wal Mart
I watched it. Nearly died once or twice, but I did it.
Okay dammit, where's my cookie?
Loved your latest installment cougar.
http://madscienceunlimited.com/fiction/index.html
Why thank you, how kind of you to say so.
However I worry that I might be losing my mind slightly. Surely that is no way for me to treat an angel, even in fiction. I'll have to make amends some how.
Your mind was lost a long time ago. You're just figuring it out long after the fact.
Don't bother looking for it since you don't need it anyway. If you found your mind after all this time it would just put you firmly back into the boring category. I'm already there and trust me on this one, we don't need any more dead bodies in here. :>)
We could use some Febreze and several billion body bags if you don't mind.
330 rally engage
Wait....wait a minute.....hold your horses......here comes the 3:30 PM pump. Can you feel it baby?
edit: "Was that all you got baby? What about Sugar's happy time?"
You know the drill bitchez - this sucker will be pumped back up to parity by the bots before closing bell
... in 10 minutes?
If you are right then the bastards are epic.
Though if they do, then their QE3 trial ballon will have gone nowhere.
No instead I think they let it burn. QE3-or-die.
Shit cougar - Didn't realise the time! Are the bots on strike or what? Perhaps even binary souls have lost all faith?!
The bots have done their job. Market up, good dog!
And now ... the reckoning. Paper profits don't count fer shyt, sparky.
ROFLMAO. I love ZH.
Get your chart magic ready, brother Cog. The S&P is going for a new record, four sma violations in one session. Can't wait for the bullish spin on this "technical development."
And Tyler, maybe now would be a good time to announce the ZH poetry writing contest. Theme: "Bidless"
What were those sma's again?
The 10, the 20, the 50...with the 100 up next.
**there goes the 100**
Down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8g7834rwxM
Tyler really should post up that chart on the S&P: 1 year, daily bars, 10 day simple moving average, 20 day, 50 day, 100 day. Today was an epic technical breakdown. But I'm sure everything is fine...like Greek debt.
So take a look around at stocks obliviously above those marks, especially those on razor thin volume in the last month. The bell has just tolled for them.
Brother Cog...WHERE'S MY CHART!!
I can't make a chart with all 4 averages and still able to save it in a form I can post. I'm sure it's operator error. But Tyler has a higher posting ability than I do and he has Bloomberg.
Care to direct me to a chart of this? Maybe I'm looking under the wrong bed.
edit: Tyler just posted a new article with your chart.
That's alright brother Cog. I think if I just link you to Big Charts, the technicals I insert won't be there when you link. Anyway, I'm just not sure I ever remember that many moving average points fail in one single session....EVER!
And I'm sure I'm not the only one that noticed it. Perhaps, it is better to let it be a big SURPRISE for the members of the bathrobe brigade, as Dog calls 'em.
Now...on with my tome writing. Any word on the poetry contest? Extra points for insulting J. Dimon in verse form?
Hello martini...
Dead empty bidless market...just wait till the 401K Bathrobe Brigades get nervous and try to place their sell orders! Ai chihuahua!
Bathrobe brigades....love that one, Dog. I wonder how Cramer will explain it to them.
Maybe the VIX will stop at 19?
**she's going bidless**
Bidless, squidless! Wouldn't it be awesome if the great reset took out Goldman?
Let the poetry sessions begin.
As soon as Tyler announces it, I shall commence my ode to the criminal syndicate known as Wall Street.
As for the market...that was a complete breakdown in ONE SESSION. Months of Ponzi scheme work undone just like that. Commence with the "buying opportunity" commentary.
Its gonna break someday - I'm free today. Tomorrow too. Lets get the party started!
Gold up, silver down; 2 flash crashes courtesy of Blythe and the bullion bitches. They are getting really desperate by being this transparent folks; the shortages are palpable. Germany's nuclear dump means more silver needed for solar; it will all be gone within 20 years from the planet. You can't wage the globalist wars without silver; let the manufactured chaos continue.
Oh, how i'd love a 10% yack
ot: 1.4 mil negative adjustment to registered silver stocks.
OT - but just saw your tweet on Greek bake sales. Maybe pancake breakfasts? Will they really sell ports? Thessaloniki's? I'm still betting plain 'ol default. And every week this continues, the haircuts will be greater. If only 50%, the Greek 2 years are a great buy IMO. Even a 70% haircut works well on a 24+% yield.
What about the options markets?
the central banks are buying shares to prevent market meltdown, or maybe not
Unusually unusual
3:30 bump losing steam fast, negative 3 bill day, we can still get there.

Crackhead DOW is over in the corner going thru Trainspotting withdrawal......must.....get....huge crackrocks....
The dollar index simply took off today. Up almost 1% from the low. You don't see that every day.
How much longer before we go off the cliff. Seem's to me more people I talk to are waking up. I have 2 buddies that are cashing out 401k's and going for the metal's. Are people finally waking up.
I dont know if or how many people are waking up, I hope lots, but I have a 1100 tactical 12 myself so its all good.
I shot a skunk with mine this morning, full choke in my garden bad mistake......
Couldn't you at least wait till he was out of the garden!!!
This scene, from Escanaba in Da Moonlight, a story of the intellectual elites of the upper peninsula of Michigan (U. P.) on opening day, might be something you appreciate.

If there is no financial legislation to be voted upon or the need for scare tactics there will be no flash crash. The Flash crash had nothing to do with Greece. It was financial terrorism.
Its all been financial terrorism since the 2008 plunge, which was clearly planned ahead of time with 'the answer' already formulated. That is 'Hand over all your money to us banksters or every last one of you motherfukers gets it'!!
"3600 point drop on the DOW...."
I think I know what that would smell like.
It would smell like......victory.
Dow down 300 by close? Yes we can!
Also, anyone want to buy some silver?
Your avatar is making me thirsty.
another mini rally in every index at the same time
un fucking beliveable
super impose the charts and its just one line, almost
Down 280? I guess a global thermonuclear holocaust could happen tomorrow and it would be 'priced in.' On a side note, they've bought themselves a great buying in point for when QE3 is announced tomorrow, followed by a 2000 point rally.
Wow, yesterday my TZA call position halved its value, today it made all that back up and increased the original position by 50%. This is pretty intense stuff. I am keeping that position tonight, hope that wasn't a mistake. I assume this kind of decline marks a trend change that will not be reversed entirely tommoro.
It'll be reversed when they announce QE3 tomorrow, or Greece finds €200b worth of gold under the mattress that they forgot about (no you can't audit it, just take our word for it) or Oboehner announces that they've agreed to raise the debt ceiling another $14t in exchange for tax cuts for the rich.
Something will happen to reverse it. Always does.
Well if they want QE they will want a correction first, not a 2% correction either. If the just keep jacking this thing up the swings will become uncontrollable without a retracement. I expect a QE announcement, but am conservatively betting on a 10% retracement first, minimum. I actually think it will wind up around 15%. I don't think you can get people back on this ride with another "greek got it's bailout" switcheroo. If they can get volume down they can control it. Actually there were moments today when my board was only dancing a LITTLE faster than I have seen them control in the past. I was sort of suprised they weren't very effective. I noticed REITs were bombing today too and think mabey they were just spread a little thin. I think a little dovish talk from the chairsatan will be forthcoming. They did a very nice bum rush at the close with solid green stripes of ticks in SP500 and Russell 2000 in the face of hellish volume and they managed to hold it, for about 10 mins. I am not sure they can do better than that. As long as the volume is up the trend is down I think. We'll see.
This is a good time for a refresher folks:
