Laughable $4.8 Billion POMO Closes, Soon To Be Replaced By Daily Operations 4 Times As Large
Today's POMO has closed, as the Fed injects $4.8 billion of still legacy QE Lite money in the market. The Submitted to Accepted ratio is at 3.9, well below the average, and thus confirming that today's stock market will likely close about 2%+ higher, as predicted earlier. There is one more POMO remaining under the current QE Lite regime, and then it's off to the races, as the Fed commences buying about $15-20 billion worth of Apple each POMO day. The next POMO schedule will be released at 2 pm on November 10. It will be a doozy.

An Apple each POMO day, keeps deflation away.
I really like that but I'm too disgusted to even laugh. Something's got to be done.
The Fed has complete control over everything. 30 bonds are rallying sharply today along with equities and all in the face of sharply rising Gold and commodities. Its all just one big f=@king party. S&P will be back at old highs by the end of the year and the dollar will be toast. Think of it as welfare for the banksta transferred from the pockets of the savers of middle america. Retirees in cash will be destroyed.
Having spent the last two years looking into this I can see no answer other than buying physical PMs. And I don't see how an increasing number of people won't come to the same conclusion.
Just hope those two years weren't mis-spent... ;-)
When looking at the world markets and commodities action all I see is that more of Ben's money is leaving the US than staying. This ain't gonna' end well....
Someone just covered their silver shorts!
Where??
I just checked the price, saw slippage to 25.75 -- that what you talking about?
This is the biggest criminal action this country has ever seen...The Fed has been and will continue to lower every citizen’s standard of living making the cost of everything we buy (which is mainly imported) higher. The cost of necessities such as food, gasoline, and utilities will all rise... all the while unemployment and real wages do not. We've tried this experiment (although through different means) before and it was a failure as it will be this time.
How many times over will the Fed end up paying the entire market cap of the stock market to hold it up?
What is the number that represents the US market cap?..anybody?
Maybe their intention is to actually kill the Dollar and in preparation they are buying up huge blocks of assets, REITS, equities (all around the world), commodities etc, as they don't care what price they pay. Then, they will issue a new currency like the Rentenmark http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_Rentenmark backed by all the assets they are acquiring with soon to be worthless Dollars?
These guys must know there are only two outcomes, deflation which kills the banks and will eventually cause a collapse in the Dollar or hyperinflation, which will save the banks, and lead to a collapse in the Dollar. You get to the end game more quickly with hyperinflation, so maybe they think it better to go this route and plan for the new future. All those who talk about a one world currency are crazy, the US won't go for that, so far better to wipe away all those pesky debts and work on the basis that all it does is impoverish the middle classes and the elderly, but these people never cause too much trouble whatever you do.
"And I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property -- until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered... The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not." -- Thomas Jefferson wrote on May 28, 1816
I'm praying for a flock of black swans.
"Hey Timmah!" Screamed BS as he put on his Carhart jacket. "Want to go huntin'?" Timmah paused the Nintendo and stood up like he had been shocked by a socket. His hair looked the same way. "Timmah!" Said Timmah. "Ok, go put on some pants and I'll wait for you." BS took a swig off his flask. 'Ah',' BS thought to himself, 'haven't been swan huntin' in quite a long time." Timmah sped back into the room wearing a tutu. "Ah for cryin' out loud you're wearing Orzag's old Tutu. Go put on some pants."
BS slouched onto the love seat and sipped his Malabu rum. 'It would only be a matter of time before I own every T-bill, every mortgage, and every corporation.' He shed one single tear of joy. 'I am about to become the Captain of the Universe. Everyone will be at my command.' Timmah came back wearing Bawknees pants. He looked like a homeless orphan. "Very well Timmah, time to kill some birds!"
All I know to say is "Thanks Tyler!"
Tyler is turning me into my own little money printing operation with this kind of information. I'm not getting free money from the Fed, but with the way they're ramping up all things equity, it feels like I am.
Pardon what may appear to be a lack of conscience to the ZH community, but I am going to take advantage of the Fed's largess as long as it lasts. The Fed has pretty much told me they're going to open the back doors to the armored car to let the money fall out and by the way, here is the street we will be driving down. And if you happen to find our cash, please keep it for yourself as we can always print more.
Reminds me of the Leno Dorito's commercial.
Take all you want, we'll print more!!
Really? Wow Im not playing with these lunatics...taking al my $US LOLlars and piling it into food and ammo, etc.
Im not chasing stock pumpers in the face of a daily collapsing $US LOLlar, thats insane.
Take all you can get, there's no regrets. Spend it quick
Why are you playing with equities? They are falling in terms of gold, as Tyler has pointed out several times. Better to go with gold and silver. Especially with silver, as the manipulation schemes that have been going on for 30+ years are starting to unravel big time.
Your point is well taken and I admit I am in dire need of an education in the PMs. I stay with equities because trading them is what I know.
My real problem (well one of many) is that I like being liquid and if I hold a PM physically, I would have no idea how to liquidate quickly. I do trade GLD but that is paper and I have read here that there may not even be enough of the real thing to support its price.
Equities are making gains as the dollar becomes worth less, plain and simple fact. The dollar, which has devalued in real terms its entire existence, has quickened pace more than double step, it is off the cliff and falling like a rock. There are many reasons for this. One being holding debt becomes easier, so a larger debt (and the ability to hold it) rates positive, this creates capital inflow. Throwing any monie out of the current and onto the shore of equities is like throwing a life preserver to a drowning victim.
The reason that corporations are strong are two fold, and one we have briefed. The first is that governments are weak. This may be an ill logic because just because something is weak does not make another strong, but because there is no alternative (State and County govs also rely on FBN so they are in on the caper). This is why if a Nation suggested that they were backing their currency with gold it would kill the dollar in one move; monie would have somewhere to go that did not give it nightmares.
I will be quick to point out that gold is the ultimate store of value due to it lasting fore almost forever. It is the ultimate medium of exchange for the said reason and because it is not only finite but rare. It can be easily divided and one piece is just like any other and so it is a good unit of account. Is it a deferred payment? It is to me.
At the end of the day, this was the plan all along. Have corporations inherit the governments failure to operate markets and society effectively, but give a cushion to thhe Nation/States by having them hold "gold". This way, once the rest of the people that are caught up in the game really do get caught up in the game, once they wake up in the morning on the continent of their fore fathers and the Natives before them where bears and wolves once freely roamed, broke and hungry, then someone will still be able to get them into the e-soup line-because THEY can credit the broke ass some "gold".
US $LOLar plunging, how long will China take it?
At $15-20 billion per day that's $300-400 Billion per month...I thought the announcement was closer to +/- $125 billion per month?
BAH...who's countin?
Per POMO day, which is not everyday. HOLY SHIT this is going to end badly. I just saw a swarm of black swans fly towards Wall Street!
This is just so wierd to see the market being juggled everywhere.
I wouldn't know what to do w/o ZH right about now.
F-OFF, Brian Sack and Bernanke...F-OFF! May you hang for high crimes of Financial Treason.
..
Didn't POMO start out as a sport where human skulls where batted around by long hammers?
Doesn't seem to have changed much from its origins in Afghanistan.
Or is that POLO?
