Leaking Japanese Nuclear Complex Owner: Radiation May End Up Exceeding Chernobyl
Tepco is finally admitting what has been obvious for some time: that Fukushima could end up being worse than Chernobyl.
As Reuters notes:

operator of Japan's crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant said
on Tuesday that they are concerned that the radiation leakage could
eventually exceed that of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster."The
radiation leak has not stopped completely and our concern is that it
could eventually exceed Chernobyl," an official from operator Tokyo
Electric and Power told reporters on Tuesday.

They're waiting to tell the truth once they'll be certain that everyone will get his fair share of this radioactive shit (just a wild crazy guess)...It's beyond incompetence, we're not talking about the Peter Principle here....they knwo damn well the stakes and outcomes of this. well CNBC reported this morning that Japans Govt had admitted Fukushima was at Chernobyl radiation levels.... just now however a CNBC reporter said Fukushima "would not be a Chernobyl" then said "though a 7.7 is at Chernobyl levels"
Presumably CNBC is confused between its reporting side and its GE ownership side... and turnng into a bit of a clown show during this journalistic 'conflict'

Chernobyl exclusion zone was 1,100-square-miles —roughly the size of Yosemite.
This was not that much wasted land for a country of Russia's size, however is a good chunk of land for Japan.
How to contain sea water? I bet sea exclusion zone should be a lot larger than land.
