Libya: Government Bombs Civilians, Top Sunni Cleric Puts Out a Death Warrant on Gadhafi, Son Warns of Foreign Occupation, Native Tribes Revolt
→ Washington’s Blog
The news out of Libya is dramatic.
Dictator Moammar Gadhafi is bombing his own people with military jets.
Two senior officers in the Libyan air force have defected to Malta:
A top Sunni cleric says the army should kill Gadhafi.
Gadhafi’s son is warning: “Stop the protest or face civil war & colonialism”. He states that the U.S. and Europe will occupy Libya if the protests are not reined in.
Libya's own diplomat accuses Gadhafi of 'crimes against humanity' and 'crimes of war'. Military officials are reportedly calling for Gadhafi's removal. And diplomats and the justice minister have resigned. See this.
And Al Jazaeera reports:
Unconfirmed reports suggest the Migraha tribe has now abandoned Gaddafi. This follows the Tuareg and Warfela tribes who came out in support of the protests yesterday.
These are true native peoples. For example, the Tuareg people are nomads of the Sahara:

troll is foreign, an american wannabe
He slunked back to his lair didn't he ;-)
nmewm's MO is 2b thick as a brick. He pretends everything's really OK via inane, uninformed chit-chat.

Just so ya know, there is a huge difference between trolling and employing a trolling motor to go fishin'. Have some fun and take it to the next level fight clubber. I know you are not a ether huffer, natural or otherwise, and neither is nmewn.

Friend Miles,
Good to see you again...(topside) ;-)
But it ain't in me...I have a personality disorder, I like to fight ;-)
Combine that with the unadulterated joy of living and the drive to stand is laid bare, brothers & sisters all. If this is a personality disorder then no wonder we are where we find ourselves as a society.
The ones at the very top, in my view, should be held to an even higher standard...not a different standard by law...but a higher standard, where even the slightest notion of potential impropriety is policed by themselves. This is what has broken down I think.
No doubt about it my friend. The root of loyalty to the institution being a higher calling than the accomplishment of ones mission or the welfare of ones self or fellows for reasons that are now abundantly clear. When there is power without a check & review process simply by the nature of that power (and there always will be that power appreciated or not by the anarchists) it must be exercised with the greatest care and to the highest standard. When the standard is the fuck your buddy at all costs or you're a punk then the propriety of social interaction is punked. Punk is as punk does! THE driving force to stand and reassert the institution of law by the whole of world society.
(Are you hearing me yet Cas Sunstein & Assoc., you piece of shit motherfuckers)
Meanwhile we appreciate that some folks just get to the new day a bit quicker than others simply as a product of location and that it will not be night forever. The avalanche has begun. It's time for us all to rise & shine. There is an awesome day coming and it's time to get to it.

Pax my friend nmewn, another peaceful warrior.
"The root of loyalty to the institution being a higher calling than the accomplishment of ones mission or the welfare of ones self or fellows for reasons that are now abundantly clear. When there is power without a check & review process simply by the nature of that power (and there always will be that power appreciated or not by the anarchists) it must be exercised with the greatest care and to the highest standard."
Exactly so.
Anarchists seem to live in this fog that all anarchists are of the highest ethical & moral character or that even a bad anarchist rising to the top would be better than the rule of law...(as one inevitably would)...seems a lesson in dictatorial rule to me.
What happens when the badder, stronger anarchist (Party One) assaults his neighbor next door? Does the neighbor across the street say "oh well" he did nothing to me...no harm to me, no law against it, no foul.
A completely foreign concept to me.
If the guy across the street attacks the neighbor (Party One) before he attacks him out of fear that he is next, he is as wrong as the original attacker because (Party One) did nothing to him and is now, in fact, propagating some type of rule or code or law I would think.
Minimal government yes, no government is Mad Max bullshit.
Cas Sunstein...I've heard the name...I looked him up...seems like a certifiable moonbat on the first order.
Animals do not have rights, only people do...they should not be mistreated however, we were left with dominion over them by one at a higher pay grade than you or I...that is my guiding principle.
His views on taxation & government "conferring" rights on people is something only Putin or Chavez could agree with...if I hear the term "negative liberties" one more time...
This is another problem I've noticed...these fucking college educated eggheads can talk their way into a complete vortex of nonsense to justify whatever type of confiscation of life, liberty or property that is the flavor of the day. Properly raised and adjusted individuals know right from wrong without being told what is right and wrong by the state or Haaahhhvaaad...and we damn sure don't need an anarchist to tell us what is right and wrong.
Well...I guess it was my turn to rant...this time on those who attempt mind control without controling their own minds...LOL.
Lunatics...and every day the paperboy brings more...

One of the primary money quotes from Sunstein.
Prosecuting government officials risks a “cycle” of criminalizing public service, [Sunstein] argued, and Democrats should avoid replicating retributive efforts like the impeachment of President Clinton — or even the “slight appearance” of it.

The sad deal is that this policy has been extended to the TBTF's and other key segments of our society creating this huge class of exempted individuals.
Even in the Mad Max world the Great Humongous governed as did whatever his name in the compound. Whenever three or more are in society there will be rules & a ruler/s just as when the number grows to five one will invariably be made outcast. Just how we are. The true anarchist believes that each man is a complete society unto himself. That's the lunacy of dictatorial rule of a free for all forgetting that three bound to common purpose do far better. Hence the reason we see that play out in POW camps, prisons and greater society all the time. Just is.
How can there be mind control from those that fail to think or consider beyond their individual desires born from sociopathic or lemming leanings?
Ignorance is curable, stupidity not so much. ;)
"The sad deal is that this policy has been extended to the TBTF's and other key segments of our society creating this huge class of exempted individuals."
So far friend Miles...so far.
I take heart that there have appeared great yawning cracks in the thin veneer of the public's respect of authority and power, along with those who attempt to wield it. In all ethnic, social and even economic classes.
They have gone too far this time. It has become immoral and frankly, fascist.
Everyone sees why zero NY bankers have gone to jail for the latest debacle & bastardization of the free market. Because it was put in place by those in authority and is highly regulated by them.
Everyone sees the stock market now for what every stock market has always been.
Valueless paper tickets with no inherent worth on their own, now propped up in price by a debt producing Treasury & Fed who have a revolving door policy of employing those, who just last week, were engaged in front running the same people who the Treasury issues the debt upon.
Some anecdotal evidence for you, to be sure, but it's everywhere I turn it seems.
My profession brings me into contact with other professionals inside & outside of government and I have never read Ayn Rands famous book...just a few passages.
The depth of "Galtism" I see is something to behold. I know many don't even know who the character is, but it is there. They have withdrawn their support of the system as is. Not the support of the people around them...but the system itself, as it is now constituted.
These are people in upper management from directors of various large public institutions down to salaried employees and hourly workers within them.
Same thing on the private side, from upper management to the contract laboror, where everyone feels "unclean" by what they are witnessing at the very top.
The support system has been lost...they cannot survive long without it.
There will be no bloody revolution because we will not fight ourselves...we control the means of production, not them. No one here wants credit or the debt that comes with it. We have withdrawn our support and are repudiating any debts foisted on us as they are not ours.
Deep down...the bankers & pols understand this.
Indeed. CD and I discussed this very dynamic some time ago and he was able to transform my instigatin' ramblin's and his considered opinion into understandable prose.
A friend among the Zero Hedge community asked me some months ago to write an article describing how the professional class, that group of people who in effect support the elite while supporting themselves, could mount a coup and take down their own masters.
http://www.zerohedge.com/article/avalanches-and-tipping-points
As expressed in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Bahrain, and other places presently.
In Algeria, Yemen, Jordan and Egypt, protests started breaking out. Often these were organized by local opposition groups but attended by a surprising number of middle-class professionals—a diversity that seemed to mirror the protests in Tunisia.

Of course the folks perpatrating this massive fraud upon themselves & society appreciate this deep down else they would be removing the cancers like Quackdaffy & Dimon with greater dispatch. I can only surmise the reluctance is rooted in their desire to retain such power for themselves for when they chose to deploy such in the vain attempt to retain their grip. A grip that has already been lost, hence the reason the forces of order are now the force of anarchy while the dissidents are assuming the role of order. ALWAYS the essential tipping point. Fact remains the structure has lost the support of the professional class. The rest is a done deal since what it will take to regain that trust is the dispatch of these fucks rather than passing some blocks of WIC cheese around per usual.

From yours, there;
"As the professions and those who populate them awaken to the concept of what fight club really means."
Yes, indeed.
By withdrawl of support or by rebellion it's their choice...I have been using a term that everyone on one side of the "political divide" cannot seem to wrap their head around...it is...
They will, shrink government, cut taxes and allow the people to prosper one way or the other.
One side sees only one half...the other, the other half...it's weird...LOL.
"George III, I & II, John, Barry & the rest of those that supposedly represent fail to appreciate how much they are representing..."...and your clip...
It may well be that all men are capable of being corrupted (wine, women, song, money, power, pestige etc.) but I would posit that most men are not, at the going rate. I know many who are not.
Which brings us back full circle to the Fed (on an abandoned, but not forgotten thread) and it's amoral ability to produce the means of a peoples subjugation. For if money (to buy influence & favor) is no object, anyone is at risk of their price being met...even you and I unfortunately.
The proper thing to do, the moral thing to do, is end it.
Then again, as I said before, I believe true costs (the real costs of taxation, labor and government) would be enforced in both the public arena and the market arena.
"Meanwhile, got time for a dance to their decrepit, tweaked, Little Feat mash up & some fine snacks from the department of red beans & rice?"

Now that I'm sober I wanted to touch on an item you brought up. The overwhelming majority of people are regular, decent folks (a reason we develop the institution of law to begin with). Heck, most criminals are this way as well which is why rapists, pedophiles & traitors do so poorly in prison. One not need look far to gather that in many places the rapists, pedophiles & traitors to the norms of civil society are the ones nominally in charge of both public & private institutions and are a driving force behind the revulsion of broad society to their governing actions. I have noted previously that we are all on the same road to the same destination. However, what we are now appreciating is that we are the engine driving this machine not the low budget pervs that currently hold the reigns.
Have a terrific Sunday in this weekday world my causticly dynamic friend. What the hell happened to drive this stupendous look and sound from favor?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFN_Iu_PD-g
The answer of course is that the pervs replaced it with their penchant for underage violation.

"Now that I'm sober I wanted to touch on an item you brought up. The overwhelming majority of people are regular, decent folks (a reason we develop the institution of law to begin with)."
Yes they are.
"Heck, most criminals are this way as well which is why rapists, pedophiles & traitors do so poorly in prison."
Das a fact...they are put seperate groups or they would be killed by parents who have daughters, sons, sisters & brothers and those who still love their country even though they have come up against it's laws.
"One not need look far to gather that in many places the rapists, pedophiles & traitors to the norms of civil society are the ones nominally in charge of both public & private institutions and are a driving force behind the revulsion of broad society to their governing actions."
Most universities (emphasizing most) are little more than indoctrination camps before they unleashed into society to take up positions of power in government, finance, health etc. The group think mentality is the antithesis to what a university should be, which is, all points are pondered and debated so that each student comes out with a higher level of knowledge & understanding...not come out like zombies thinking and acting the same way to any given set of circumstances...IMHO of course.
"However, what we are now appreciating is that we are the ones behind the wheel, not the low budget pervs that currently hold the reigns."
Dats a fact.
We are forced to be patient, to do anything else is to invite violence & anarchy...not that most good, responsible people are not prepared for it...it's just that if in the interim others can be made to see the wreckage and misery of that path the wait is worth it...one touches another, the other touches yet another...and so on.
No, I'm not a pacifist...not by a long shot...but there's more than one way to skin a cat ;-)

Ya got to go with what ya know...it's taken a lifetime to accumulate the wisdom passed down through the ages, to only discard it all for some "new" paradigm (which really just an old one in disguise) would be a crime against humanity.
Monarchy has been tried...pure democracy (as in plebiscite) has been tried...autocracy, tribalism, statism, communism and socialism only lead to one place...a dictatorship.
This way is best.

So much power, and the supposed responsibility that goes with it, concentrated in one place is a primary ingredient to the poisoned alchemy of anarchistic lawful plunder that now exists. It will be painful for folks to have to guarantee their own rights (that thing called civics) rather than outsourcing them to the false philanthropy of your mentioned forms of government.
Dictatorship is just another way of expressing the anarchists dream of the society of the one, just on the macro scale. What psychologists like to refer to as sociopathy. The sociopath relies upon the human desire to avoid personal responsibility by transferring this to the state (JMK, socialism, fascism and the rest) rather than standing as part of civil society based upon ones merits (Austrian). Back to Bastiat and the drive to avoid pain at all costs, by inflicting still greater pain upon ones self and others. This process ultimately degenerates into what we are seeing today. Rather than producing a crop for the next generation to feast upon this structure demands that we feast upon the as yet undreamed crop of the future today. THE EPITOME of perversion.

Exactly so.
The "good works" can only be done by those that are there, the people in those countries...we have done nothing but weaken ourselves and stolen their right to protect themselves as we protected them from others. Of course, the commerce that has sprung up around them (from strip joints to T shirts) will be cited as one reason to keep them.
Can't they just come to me and demand money from my wallet in person and cut out the middle man in all this?...LOL.

I'm reminded of the story of Col. Crockett and his vote to allow taxes to be appropriated in misguided ways;
http://www.juntosociety.com/patriotism/inytg.html
I often watch as the EBT user at the grocery store swipes the card without a care in the world...become filled with rage...then as I walk to my vehicle I have time to reflect...not on what was stolen from me, but what has been stolen from the EBT user...their pride, dignity, self worth, their very sense of belonging to something larger than their overflowing grocery cart.
Sometimes, in the quiet of the morning, like now, I wonder if it was all in fact some grand conspiracy to addict people to the labor of others by the contemptable who will hide in every society...and I always wind up back to the conclusion it was not...as the story of the Col. shows.
The human spirit has it's good side, it's compassionate side, as well as it's bad and greedy side...somewhere in that middle ground lies good governance and it's up to all of us to recognize it.
At the point where we find ourselves today, it is waaay out of balance, so if you happen to stumble across one of my rants on some other thread please understand it is the restoration of this balance that is my ultimate objective in my musings.

Well, I can tell your curious...
In my youth it was brown with red tinges in the sun...(graying now, not balding although my father was at the middle, bless my Mom for that) hazel eyes, from a family of blue and gray eyes...I was and still am the black sheep (again from my Mom, a south Georgia farm girl). My humor, such as it is, comes from my Dad, who many (no doubt) thought insane because he would do just about anything for a laugh...especially in times of trial...he served in the Pacific Theater of WWII.
If I had to self identify it would be Pict I suppose, for their ferocity...without the tats, just superficial ink...LOL.
Lineage is...Scot, English, Dutch and a pinch of Creek on my Mom's side. Irish, Italian on my Dad's. I have more on my Mom (history wise) because her family was here long before my Dad.
One of her ancestors was a guerrilla, then militia, finally a cavalry Captain who fought at Cowpens, her grandfather (my great) fought with AP Hill in Virginia...among other places. There is a royalty associated from England...but how she got "here" was by an indentured servant who's master came over as a subject of the crown...yes, small c on crown ;-)
Dad's side came before the turn of the last century, mid to late 1800's maybe...not much of a record of his parents...(he was born in Brooklyn, don't let that get out either...LOL) the assumption is potato famine (Irish-Italian) listed for his parents.
"Back to representing the whole that is within us."
Exactly so my friend.
Got to go get squire nmewn from ball practice...blonde/hazel eyes (my wife is blonde)...as the world turns...my love is there ;-)

I looked at it (topside) again and wondered if perhaps you took it another way, which was not my intent, merely of our last in nautical terms...the sinking of the...and of course emerging from the deep to here...yes, I think a break is in order.
Woof woof woof...that's my other dog impression...LOL...the writer gave that character more insight to life, in general, than most can perceive.
"While some folks simply have no sense of humor at all, even if they are Austrian."
I understand...but they must understand as well, it's not my problem...it is theirs.
I have found that those who bat left handed are a humorless lot for the most part, no doubt brought about by their own venality.
It would seem that to declare a respect of or adherence to the Austrian school is to discard the communist/socialist model as well as the attendant autocratic leanings of same, in favor of the freedom of true market forces to act as the clearing mechanism...not the state.
That is, one can't ask the state for subsidation (solar panels, light bulbs or banks or vehicle manufacture or home loans) and not see the force being used on someone else in order for the subsidation to happen. Money doesn't grow on trees, apparently it's just printed in that world.
When I laugh, while grabbing them by the nape of the neck, forcing their face into the mirror, it's not an act of violence on my part, I'm doing it for the good of all as well as themselves...a type of social good that I would think they could appreciate as that is what they promote...but somehow they never do ;-)
I understand...but they must understand as well, it's not my problem...it is theirs.
I have found that those who bat left handed are a humorless lot for the most part, no doubt brought about by their own venality.
lmao. No misunderstanding, just play at the beer store. A walk in the sunshine & a bit of fresh air is just the ticket (powder break) be it 6 am or pm. Rum rations WhoT!! OOps, its past Black Tot Day, three fisted beer drinking is the rule now. :)
And we're right back to the real power behind interdependence & stewardship. Some things simply cannot be outsourced to the state, but must be borne by each of us as individuals else all sense of ownership evaporates under the weight of the supposed propriety of false philanthropy and the lawful plunder that is the inevitable result. As is the expression of total "liberty" and its effects as reflected nicely in the life and times of John Wilmot. Fact remains that humans are social creatures and certain characteristics prevail in humans and our constructs of human society else these issues would not continue to assert over the ages. If these are not individual problems they most certainly are a collective problem of humans in human society.
As a novice at all this i can only observe a couple of basic tenants of what our latest rendition of this never ending cycle through history affectionately known as the age of reason has taught me. The excesses of collective state power led folks to drive for greater individual "liberty" and its expression through the expenditure of its time & labor to produce and trade. This led to winners & losers (just as the system in place previously). The winners use the fruits of their labor to ensure the threats to its continued vocation are removed by the collective power expressed by the coercive power of the law & state leading to the recreation of the very structures that prevailed at conception. If what we have now is the pinnacle of reason then no wonder folks call me unreasonable.

Cheers my friend nmewn and please know that I am thankful, supremely for those that grabbed my by the scruff while being respectful enough of my liberty to chart my own course rather than attempting to impose it. If this is the essence of the Austrian school the all I can say is Hell Ya! Perhaps it is the essence of this appreciation that has led to my unreasonableness in the eyes of those that refuse to even bother looking.
Lenina Huxley - Anything not good for you is bad, hence, illegal. Alcohol, caffeine, contact sports, meat...
John Spartan - Are you shiting me?
A computer - John Spartan, you are fined one credit for a violation of the verbal morality statute.
John Spartan - What the Hell is that?
A computer - John Spartan, you are fined one credit . . .
Lenina Huxley - ... bad language, child play, gasoline, uneducational toys, and anything spicy. Abortion is also illegal. But, then again so is pregnancy, if you don't have a license.
I just want to bury Cocteau up to his neck in shit and let him think happy-happy thoughts forever - Edgar Friendly

;-)
I think we've all been there at one point in our lives...not pulling up or out in time will have it's consequences.

Hear hear!!!
My forefathers signed on to what has become this abomination with the expectation that if the "rules" changed, their descendants could leave just as voluntarily as their ancestors came...just like any other broken contract in common law.
The fact that they are now forced at gunpoint to remain does not equal legality or equality, it only equals force...in Latin I think it's called supremis biggis dickus...LOL.
In other words we allow & formulate government's & submit to it's laws with the expectation that we all will be treated fairly under it's laws. When we find this is not the case the law itself has been suborned to the purpose of the few yet again, any binding aspects of said contract are then null & void.
Even without a "contract" Natural Law is the rule, as Moomar Quackdaffy is finding out.

It is we who are thankful of you for layin it on the line to give us yet another shot at this...and I believe that is why some are so hesitant on picking the fruit of the Austrian school where winners & losers are chosen by merit (ripeness) or the lack thereof (wormy) to which I have always said...Oh Hell Yeah!...lemme pick my own in this orchard others have planted for us.
Be well friend Miles.

Yep. The power to legislate is limited not only by the ballot box, but by its own adherence to the standards of law. The assessment of propriety to the institution of law is not limited to the judiciary, but also encompasses the governed themselves who are the final arbiters.
It is we who are thankful... Thank you. You just made my past few years of labor right there. I, like my forebearers farm one of the riskiest crops of all as my crop isn't mine to harvest.
Each person must decide for themselves when sitting is more painful than standing, even to carpet bombing by those supposedly enforcing the rule of law which is now synonymous with the needs of plunderous predation. I am happy someone found this particular orchard and found an item or two worthy of not only consuming, but perpetuating or incorporating into the feast set for the next generation. The very essence of setting the table. The kicker is that time and again I hear folks who have decided to stand remark about their admiration of those that are standing with them. Kinda hard to find anything admirable about ones self or others when one choses to be served by false philanthropy rather than simply embracing their own absurdly dynamic potential. And in so doing becomes fodder for the ever ready and insatiable desires of the trash disposal of plunder.
Enough with this Thanksgimmie shit already - Ruth
Indeed.
My best to you and yours - It's time to enjoy our cake. Cheers

You are my brother Miles.
And we're not the only siblings...not by a long shot and I assure you not the last. We (as a nation and as individuals) will always fight & squawk about what, in the end, are irrelevancies in the bigger picture.
To me it's an asset not a liability, I have fun with it...which, I readilly admit a certain perverse enjoyment of...LOL...just me, just like any other brother.
Blood will always be thicker than water, as M4N found out the hard way...I always keep that in mind as I peruse the comment section.
If it all goes to shit tommorow, jungle style, we know there are brothers from both coasts and at all points in between to pick up the workable and discard what is not...and for those from outside the family they should know that they can have anything they want...but they better not take it from me ;-)

As to the remainder of our general themes there is a reason many folks call it old skool. It simply is and this is a foundational aspect of what makes all societies, most especially the American one what they are where the rubber hits the road. This barrier has been decisively crossed and we are bearing witness to the largest of self correcting mechanisms there is. Made all the more powerful, durable & dynamic with the advent of the very globalized system currently in place. Chinese handcuffs, big time. So I say let these folks struggle & flail, they're just lynching themselves.
One day the pain will become unbearable and then it will be resolution time. London, Chicago, San Francisco, Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Nanking, Baghdad, Dresden, Hamburg, Saint Petersburg, Warsaw, Mexico City, Christchurch (just within these past hours) and more have been either totally or nearly totally destroyed in the past and recovered to be more vibrant than before. We will handle this as well. Just as soon as the issues surrounding arsonists are resolved.
Meanwhile, it is time to have some fun surfing and reminding folks of what propriety really is, Fight Club style while looking to setting a new foundation. Since no one "in authority" seems to have a clue it might as well be those that seem to since that's the best we have. The rest will catch as catch can.
<Rant Off>
Nice rant.
I've said it before and I'll say it again.
The concept of a constitutional form of government is to bind all party's to it's laws. All class levels, all citizens. Top to bottom.
The ones at the very top, in my view, should be held to an even higher standard...not a different standard by law...but a higher standard, where even the slightest notion of potential impropriety is policed by themselves. This is what has broken down I think.
The brinksmanship & gaming is ridiculous. All sides. I suppose it was not unexpected with voters being openly bribed...Bush with pills for seniors...and Barry healthcare as a right.
The only right to anothers labor granted in the constitution is a right to a lawyer, even if you can't afford one, one will be paid for you when the state charges you with a crime.
I'm afraid it really is a product of ourselves. It is the tyranny of the majority (democracy) that has the republican form of government on it's heels. And I really do think there has been a conscious effort to call our country a democracy for years.
A soft propaganda, where a majority takes power and crams crap through without the slightest regard for all the citizens, the laws they pass, the constitution or the country's future.
Sometimes (in my weaker moments) I think I'd be happy to sit back and watch it burn, munching on popcorn while pointing out the sheer folly of it all...knowing there are many standing by to pick up the pieces.
But it ain't in me...I have a personality disorder, I like to fight ;-)

My own personal troll...I jerk the leash...it follows.
Haha. Good one. Dont go getting all earnest for their sake!
Would anyone dare claim that a similar response would not greet such mass protests and uprising here in the "good" 'ol USA? The military and police have already for most of the past decade been planning for the quelling of "civil disorder" here, by their own releases and admissions. Just what OTHER kind of disorder could they realistically be referring to?
You are not as free as you think.
None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

"The military and police have already for most of the past decade been planning for the quelling of "civil disorder" here,..."
You meant like the past, oh, 23 or 30 decades, right? Remember 'Shay's Rebellion'? Or my favorite, the 'Whiskey Rebellion.' Or even "John Brown's Raid, 1859."

Nothing new.

The skull is wearing an eyepatch, methinks--you are seeing the strap as a crack in the skull. Pirate style.
"Cloudsplitter." We've had lot's of lunatics from Upstate but he's one of my all time favorites. Still...i don't recall "the military" being his enemy--even though he did try and blow up a Federal Armory--which strikes me as a little on the criminal side. I think the South's complaint to the Feds was "where the hell were you guys?"
Ya, the Feds get so upset when one tries to blow up one of their facilities to rob them of rather more effective weapons.
Mind if I ask? When disabled? Not attempting to intrude.

Our people aren't as civilized as the egyptians. Our people will start the burning right away. Instead of liberating prisoners, our people will liberate TV's.
I am all for protest, but at least where I live if you try to burn something down you will be shot. If you have a molotov in your hand or even just a big stick you will be shot. Self defense, you know?
I was referring to PROTESTING, not rioting.
Your disingenuous twisting of my argument, however, is revealing.
actually "Ali Babba's" as they are called are quite common in the ME, too. Of course "our military is fully deployed overseas now" so how they "execute their evil plan" is more than a little beyond me. Civil disorder always wants an outside force to explain their disorder. I say there's nothing wrong with some saying "all i want is a lack of Regular Disorder and don't want any of the civil kind to go along with the RD." Of course i'm all for chaos and anarchy--i've some payback i need to execute on and "de atoritees" for some strange reason aren't "into it." Needless to say "it's nothing against the atoritees."
