Life In America's Most Dangerous City About To Become "Living Hell" As Layoffs Of One Quarter Of Government Labor Force Begin
Life in Camden, NJ has never been fun. Frequently ranked as America's most dangerous city, whose only claim to fame are the corporate offices of Campbell's Soup, Camden is about to get even more dangerous as it is among the first to experience wholesale cuts to its government labor pool. Bloomberg reports that "as many as 383 workers, representing one-fourth of the local government's work force, are expected to lose their jobs, including about half the police force and one-third of the city's firefighters." It seems cuts have already commenced: "police officers are turning in their badges as part of deep municipal layoffs that began Tuesday." It's a good thing then that unlike the rest of the world, New Jersey does not (yet) have surging food inflation as otherwise one may be tempted to argue this could be a rather interesting hot spot in the future, especially with the local police force deciding to find better pastures even as it starts collecting 99 weeks of unemployment benefits.
Firefighters are planning to march to City Hall on Tuesday, and Mayor Dana Redd is planning a noon news conference to talk about the layoffs in a city facing a huge budget deficit and declining state aid.
The officers began turning in their badges Monday as it became clear that no last-minute deal was going to save many jobs.
Located directly across the Delaware River from Philadelphia, Camden is rampant with open drug-dealing, prostitution and related crimes. More than half of Camden's 80,000 residents, mostly black and Hispanic, live in poverty.
The anti-crime volunteer group Guardian Angels also says it will patrol Camden, as it has Newark, where there were major police layoffs in November.
The fire department, meanwhile, has already been relying on help from volunteer departments in neighboring towns. Interim fire chief David Yates, who retired Jan. 1, has warned that that layoffs will increase response times.
A local pastor says "the fear quotient has been raised," and a police union took out a full-page newspaper advertisement last week warning that Camden would become a "living hell" if layoffs were not averted.
Of course, this being Camden, the only thing that could really push the city to recreate the living conditions of Hades would be a surge not so much in the price of food, or even iPads, but crack cocaine. And according to the Chairman there is substantial slack in the drug production vertical. Which means there are at least a few months before Camden becomes ground zero for what happens when surging inflation and insolvent municipalities mix with curious consequences.

Ed: What do we do now, Lewis? What do we do now?
Lewis: Now you get...to play...the game.
Cops are the ones who make living in the ghettos hell. Good riddance pigs!

*not junk*
i didnt junk you.. i played along bro... sorry!!!!!!
Harry Wanker says you don't need cops; there's an app for that.

>> Harry Wanker says you don't need cops; there's an app for that.
There is an app for that.
For poor people it's called Hi-Point 9mm. For the middle class it's called Smith & Wesson. For the well-off it's called STI.
You must be jealous of my name. Will you also be your own trauma surgeon? I assume that people will be shooting at you as you gun them down. Will you also be your own electrical grid? Street repair crew? Food inspector? You anti-government types must be skilled in a multitude of disciplines.
Fed Ex and UPS do not exist because only the government can deliver a package, right?
Fedex charges how much to deliver an envelope, about $20? If they were interested in competing with the post office on price they could be doing it right now. Why aren't they? Maybe you want to pay $20 to mail a letter.
It's illegal for anyone but the Post Office to put mail in the mailbox I paid for which stands on my own private property. Funny how those enforced government monopolies can out compete the other players in a not-at-all-free market.
If you statist types have such good ideas why do you insist on forcing everyone to comply with your plans at the point of a gun? If your centrally planned system really worked wouldn't folks use it by choice rather than through compulsion?
You are forced to use the post office at gunpoint? Sure.
If you want to use Fedex for your mail ($20) no one stops you. If you want to buy your water from Coca Cola ($2/liter) go ahead. Get your electricity from Enron and your freedom fries from Mickey D's.
I like my municipal water hookup. I like the idea that I can get in a car without a drunk killing me because hopefully a cop might stop him. I like reliable electricity.
You have a warped view of what life will be like with much less government. Make no mistake, you will get your wish, and I doubt very much that you will enjoy it.
You are forced to use the post office at gunpoint? Sure.
So if a private company started putting letters in people's mailboxes in contravention of the law what would happen? Would the government attempt to enforce the law? When government employees enforce laws do they demand compliance? By what method do government enforcers demand compliance?
You have a warped view of what life will be like with much less government. Make no mistake, you will get your wish, and I doubt very much that you will enjoy it.
All desirable services currently provided by government can be provided more efficiently in a truly free market. What's not to like?
Where is this mythical free market? Mogadishu?
Who are these companies that will provide high-quality low-priced service? You think John Galt wants to help you and I think Ken Lay wants to rob you. Your perfect company is Wal-mart, but you don't want to work for their wages. You say private police force and I say Blackwater.
Instead of Ayn Rand generalities why don't you do something specific? Start an electrical generating company. Buy a garbage truck and compete for business. Let's see how low you can bid. Until then you come across as a John Wayne wanna-be.
Where is this mythical free market? Mogadishu?
You praise government regulation which makes free markets illegal and then you claim that the lack of existing free markets proves that free markets are bad. That's just sloppy thinking.
Who are these companies that will provide high-quality low-priced service?
Your neighbors (including the 20% who are currently unemployed due to the actions of the oligarchy) will provide these services when their chains come off.
you are an idiot.. gov regs were thrown off energy and what did Enron do to California?? enjoy calling in your house fire to some outsourced customer serv rep, if you are lucky, since it will probably be some bad voice activated menu unless you paid the $900 yearly gold service plans, for EVERYTHING to get any service at all
you are an idiot.. gov regs were thrown off energy and what did Enron do to California??
Are you claiming that there are no regulations regarding the production, transmission and use of energy in the United States today? If there are in fact some regulations in place which you omit from your argument then how can any perceived problem be blamed on free markets?
enjoy calling in your house fire to some outsourced customer serv rep, if you are lucky, since it will probably be some bad voice activated menu unless you paid the $900 yearly gold service plans, for EVERYTHING to get any service at all
Are you claiming that property is not destroyed and people do not die when government emergency workers fail to respond? If a private company fails to respond people will find a new provider. When government fails to do the job the people have no choice but to suffer.
All desirable services currently provided by government can be provided more efficiently in a truly free market.
Nonsense. Good luck with your private sewer system.
Nonsense. Good luck with your private sewer system.
Why would it be impossible for a private company to create a sewer system?
#1 the post office is tax supported...
#2 fedex / other is (not yet, wholey) held in place by pomo.
both of you must be having a bad day.
yes - brilliant jackass award here.. let's make competing sewer drain pipes to every house..start diggin
That's a really bad plan. The kind that statists come up with.
In a free market anyone who wants to take a shot a filling an economic need has a chance. The person who has the idea that attracts the most capital and customers wins the game. In a government operation everyone is compelled to go along with whatever bad idea some so-called "leader" comes up with. In other words, a career in public service would be perfect for you.
I'll give you a sewer. Start paying me now, in a few years, after I've finished digging the trenches, I'll start pumping the shit out of your house.
Sound good?
Crocket you are wasting your time with these fools.
Critical thinking is in short supply these days.
You know, one of the things I like most about ZH is it's balance:
I mean, depending on the subject matter, there are commentors I either loathe or admire. eg. get ITG pimping Israeli foreign policy and CA and I will line up to take turns pointing out the bald spot in his reasoning. Alternately, on this thread ITG just won't stop making sense whereas (IMHO) CA is coming off as a completely unrealistic idealogue who doesn't seem to realize that his anarchistic pipedream can only function if there aren't any assholes anywhere on the planet. Which, by some definitions, is pure communism.
effing priceless.
>>Nonsense. Good luck with your private sewer system.
It's called a septic tank and a water well.
Yeah, 'cuz we all know how efficiently that would operate in an urban setting. You must be a civil engineer. Ever tried to dig a well in a condo? I bet it really cheeses off the neighbours if you're not on the ground floor.
http://www.dailyfinance.com/story/losing-money-isnt-the-u-s-postal-servi...
So if I look at this I'm thinking by my division I get to the 20 per send and that's just if the 7bill$ is ponied up.
Or if we take it out 10years to $238 billion then I think that letter cost just went up.
http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/03/03/1509268/post-office-plea-cut-satur...
Nope, I'm skilled at paying 500K for a shoebox of Chinese Drywall on a eighth of an acre, where I can reach out the window of my expansive master bath and touch the faux brick of my neighbor's McMansion. I'm skilled at leveraging my FRNs with low, low interest rates, fretting about upgrading the lease on the Benz, and staring at numbers on my brokerage account's login page.
I know that if I pay enough to heat my mausoleum, enough in property, school etc., taxes and a HomeOwners Association Fee, the paid minions will always come when I call and minister to my wants. The fire company will be there in time to prevent my total loss of a home fire from spreading to my neighbors; the police will be there in time to put a toe tag on me and my family, and photograph the scene for their macabre scrapbook, the browns will mow my lawn and clear la conchesta- I'm living the dream, the apogee of evolution.
The key is to live like a dependent child, squander more than you have with ostentatious display, and to never be capable of any type of self-sufficiency. Life is measured by your square footage, your car leases, and the size of that yearly bonus. Never ever doubt that you are the master of the universe - until you are not. :)
Oh Babbitt, you're such a rebel!
You must be jealous of my name. Will you also be your own trauma surgeon?
I really don't give a flying f#$% about your name actually.
I was just disagreeing with your supposition that police/government are absolutely required. Citizens can and will arm themselves in the face of anarchy. They also self-organize fairly well if 'government' goes missing.
Doctors: I pay for them. No government intervention required. Besides there's an app for that too called body armor & helmet.
Food inspector: Sniff test or make it myself. That one's solved.
Electrical grid: I can do that part too actually or maybe pay the neighbor some silver for help with the wiring. Oops, solved that one too.
There's this thing called common fucking sense in lieu of the 'government' that you apparently assume no one else has.
another fantasy fuck.. you can do all that now.. go to the woods and shit in your hole and spend your entire day sustaining yourself since you don't believe in scaling anything for a community (ie - government)
just because something is totally corrupt doesn't mean the removal of the whole thing brings utopia...
You have a problem with an off-grid farmer? Do you have a problem with the Amish?
They sure as hell don't participate in the corrupt scam we call modern living.
90% of government can be removed and it's a bonus.
when have u seen a US citizens display the balls to confront a peice of shit like this...
i regret that a grenade was not tossed inside the vehicle....
we will either b a country of "bitches" or do what is necessary for this, the next and future generations...

Yup, yelling at an old man. A true act of bravery. Hey, maybe this guy can kick the cane from under an old lady for an encore - just make sure to have the camera guy focus on the blood gushing from her face for real impact
Isn't this how the "Families" came to power in the first place?
Don't worry, the remaining cops will focus their efforts on writing speeding and parking tickets to suck more money off the few remaining productive citizens of Camden.
+200 work zone violations.. since they never finished any of the road projects they can double all the fines
let them eat urinal cake. lol
Not just any urinal cake, but Harry Wanger's cinnamon spiced urinal cake, made in Chenzen Province, China.
50 years ago Camden was a blue collar port city that was as nice as any in the country. Now it looks like Somalia... For all of those laughing...they are just 10 years ahead of the rest of Amerika.
10 years? Could as easily be 10 weeks away for the rest of the country.
indeed. it is really a horrific place.
Running neck and neck with Detroit for the award for becoming Amerika's first 3rd world city.
They always cut from 'govt' anything that helps the people, police and firefighters, yet not 1 city hall beaurocrat job in any danger...yea lets see when Camden starts burning and looting.
well when i first saw flash across bloomies crawl, i said C O O L, no police state for Camden NJ. but i guess that isn't the reaction here on ZH.
I know! THere must be some adults on the site today
Reverse that. Adults can take care of themselves.
ad verified by the junks ur juvenile comments r meriting son...
I promise to hire them all back on... i dont see a reason to annex into jersey (city's)... but as a FL Boy I do like my mountians... yes I said my mountians.

your eclectic!
Small enough town to make some real noise.
80% of city planners and other pencil pushers are irrelevant!
Especially since this community is not going to see any major growth or development projects in the short or mid term.
If this was my home town, I'd have a soap box outside city hall.
When the food riots inevitably visit the USSA, places like Camden and Detroit will be ground zero. Perhaps the revolution will be televised afterall, at least in the incipient stages.
Once urban warfare breaks out, the lights will most likely go out.
The lights in parts of the cities will go out. Yes. Other parts will get cordoned off to protect people from the other side. I guess you could build a perimeter around the trouble hot spots.
Why should America and Americans be any different in that regard than the rest of the world that has experienced similar issues in their past.
You got 330 million people of whom many are not able to afford their own living. You got a currency that's diluted to no end and will inevitably get hyperinflation similar to USSR.
Money is worth less. Pretend and Extend is no longer working. Perception is that authority is self serving and lying to the people.
Any time in history a nation hit this concrete road block, it had passed its zenith and was crippled.
A war might distract the people for a while.
well said
Once urban warfare breaks out, the lights will most likely go out.
John Galt was right.
John Galt was right.
Thomas W. Chittum will quite possibly be proven correct as well.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_W._Chittum
That Chittum fellow looks a little shaky to me. Should TSHTF I'm looking forward to building a meritocracy. Race will not be a factor except for those who insist on making it a factor.
I think Chittum posts here at ZH occasionally.
I'm in full agreement with you, BTW. Race should not be a factor in any dispute, in an ideal world. Unfortunately, humanity hasn't seemed to advance or mature much in that regard. Perhaps what we perceive as racism or racist behavior is merely a new form of tribalism.
camden was a shit hole with or without govt employees. Nothing to see here
Life must be hard for those people.
No job, sleeping out every day till 2 o'clock in the afternoon, only think about what's for dinner and what's on TV...
SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO WORK 40 YEARS TO ACHIEVE THAT!!! IT'S CALLED RETIREMENT!!
CAMDEN = FLORIDA!!!
not true, lil old ladies are Grand Ma's.... which bake cookies... which is the best work one could hope to find.
Don't that make good Hash cookies sprinkled with meth over there?
LMFAO!
People, given the opportunity and an environment that allows it are perfectly capable of self-organizing!
They've just been forced out of the habit. That inherently weakens them.
My suggestion is that the people of Camden (and elsewhere) start looking for ways to reasonably self-organize to pick up the slack.
Web Tech COULD help.
Why Politics MUST be Localized http://culturalengineer.blogspot.com/2010/10/why-politics-must-be-localized.html
A city is freeing itself of these parasites and union thugs who have brought the city to brink of bankruptcy. This should be great news.
Please spare me any falsehood about police fighting crime. I was raised in the urban environment and the police did everything except fight crime.
This would of course require that citizens take responsibility for the neighborhoods – they should support the guardian Angels and begin their own monitoring programs. Crime is the ultimate example of something that looks for least resistance. If the People put up the slightest resistance the criminal element will quickly flow over to Philly.
Losing fire department resources is a loss but if it gets the unions out so you can build a sustainable fire department that will not suck city budgets dry from unrealistic raises and benefit packages it could be long term positive.
The odds are Camden won’t be able to unplug the drug and kick the “American Idolatry” habit. It is sad to think that our cites will burn because no one is willing to miss the game tonight. It is their lives that will be directly impacted by what happens in the vacuum of these layoffs and nobody will be willing to take the slightest action.
Best of luck Camden…the only helping hand you will find is at the end of your arm.
Crime's the industry, citizen. It's absurd to expect the locals to "clean up" something that's serving as their only real source of income.
Folks with money drive to Camden for crack and BJs. And you say the Camdenites are the ones who have to step up to END this. Unreal.
Not gonna happen. This is just free-market mechanics.
Before there were those large groups of selfish, demanding "workers", there existed loose arrangements og small numbers of Constables, official and unofficial.
Constables? Did you say constables? They are back! www.nationalfraudconstable.net
Sounds like a great place for Harry Wanger to open up one of his junk stores.
Camden seems to be a picture of mismanagement. A city of 80,000 with a proposed budget of about $138,803,887 works out to $1735 per person. Somehow, they spend $17,000 per student each year, even though a full 1/3 never graduates. Some 80% of the budget comes from the state level.
The city has a Board Up crew.

seriously? are you a 6 foot red head?
No. Why?
my ex is named michelle and she is a community type person... between the name and the info, i got spooked! sorry! great post, regarding usable info.. thank you.
http://www.jcci.org/
how Boss Norcross and his cronies have not been dragged out in the streets and hung from a light pole is amazing
Why stop at half the cops, etc? Just abandon the whole thing. Admit failure and walk away. Better yet, run!
I believe Ben will pull it off... he really did save us from Great Depression 2.0!
Camden will be good guy free....Time to call in a B-52 strike...Time to invest in ammo and S&W....
Cambell Soup declares that some soup cans will come with ammo surprises inside to keep you safe and warm inside! hmmm hmmm good...
they are having a hard time getting the soup trucks out to market due to all the soupjackings in camden
Start open carry laws! Like they say, an armed society is a polite society. Especially where negro and Hispanic punks are concerned! aaeven more important, so the laid off cops won't be able to afford donuts anymore?!?
Hmm let's see...
Wall Street bonuses back to record highs...
Stock market ponzi booming...
Cops firefighters and teachers being laid off en masse...
Looks like all is going according to plan!
If they set up huge bulletproof plastic corridors and observation towers with bullet proof glass floors they can bring in elites to look down over the carnage -- like a tourist visit to the American Gladiators set. Later they can just fence the whole place in and utilize the space and destroyed buildings as a massive FEMA camp for NYC roundups.
LMAO good one
A preveiw of what's to come........got guns?
It will be interesting to see which gang wins out...the black or the brown one....
Rebuild...ha.....its going to be hell....but they sheeple will run to the next city and bring with them all their habits and problems....and illegal activities....and spread it will..
Right out of high school (a LONG time ago) I had a government job. You know what I did about 80% of the time? I read books; my own books that I brought in for entertainment. And it was perfectly accepted practice to do so. Now, that was a federal job and I realize we're talking about muni jobs, but I can't imagine the administrative jobs at the muni level are much more exhausting. Jeez, I can't believe I quit that job to go to college!
Seriously, cut out the fat and keep the enforcers - you're going to need them Camden
Love that one of the tags on this article is "crack cocaine" - sounds so ... 70's.
Any way - my Camden story. I once took a wrong exit of the highway and ended up in downtown Camden. What a cesspool! And this was a few years ago. And I've been in a few rough neighbourhoods but I was afraid to stop and ask anyone for directions. Miracle of miracles - I saw a traffic cop and she was super nice and directed me back to highway.
I guess the moral of the story is .... invest in GPS?
PS: I really need to review the addition/subtraction rules for negatives
PS. they get easyier each miss so keep trying and eventually the calculator will give You/me the correct answer.
self medicate, word of the day, after day after day after day after day after day after day.
Not sure what the fuss is about. The reality is a lot of the layoffs could have been averted, but the unions refused. Apparently, the union leadership sold a bad bill of goods to their membership thinking the city was bluffing. As usual, like here in Massachusetts and the public employee union cartel, they will never accept concessions, rather, rely on public/media shunning of the politics involved.
What we get now, in this economy, either make concessions (especially in public safety), or you get a pink slip. It's been going on for years in the private sector, and has finally arrived to the public sector. Here in MA, where basically you have to commit a felony murder in order to lose you job and pension, and even then, you might still have a chance of collecting.
Yeah, I read about this a while ago as well. Can't find the article (yet) but seems the senior union members (_____?) refused to agree to a cut in pay (haircut ?) that would allow the junior union members ( the screwed ?) to keep their jobs.
Very short-sighted .... especially if they have kids who one day might want to get a job.
You can fill in the _____ as you wish
The northeast is full of old mill cities whose economic heyday was 50 - 150 years ago.
No more subsidies. Shut them down. Plow them under.
I agree with the "no more subsidies" but what do you do with the people who have lived in these communities for years? In the past, economic incentives have been enough to encourage workers move from a under utilized place of production to one with greater opportunities. Not so much now.
People are stuck because there is no "land of opportunity" to move to and their houses are underwater. I don't think this is a new thing. I think it has been going on for the past 30 years but the economic crisis has brought a lot to light.
You do the "Detroit" on steroids. If they can pay their taxes they can stay. Otherwise, bulldoze. As soon as a building, any building, is derelict. Plow it under and leave the plot vacant.
If Fannie or Freddie own the house it is derelict by definition. Bulldoze it.
Well no one owns the properties now due to fraudclausure (and that includes Freddie and Fannie). Squatters rights - start a garden and bring in chickens.
Eminent domain.
Fug the legal gordian knot that has been fabricated.
People should be encouraged to farm the plowed under land. The encouragement is not to include any equity rights.
A sign that things are really bad. The police can't exploit the citizens in the pursuit of fighting crime too keep the county coffer's full? That's like Bernie Madoff having a cash flow problem and not paying his light bill.
QE3 bail out for the donut shops.
Nothing is so much to be feared as fear. Henry David Thoreau.
Where is Charles Bronson when you need him?
a childish tirade if i understand correctly. fact is, if that "fat government" hadn't already screwd the pooch we Camden would be much better off.
I see a big gang war for a few months...then the gangs will split the city...and run it themselves...probably better that the city did....mobs work well...
Let the ghettos survive on their own. Enough with diverting resources into these hellholes. Keep slashing Christie!
Slash and bulldoze. Make sure it goes away and stays away .
This whole thread is off base.
Why?
I live outside of Detroit.
Camden has a long way to go before they get in our league.
Sincerely,
Kwame Kilpatrick
lmao
what do you think about Buffalo NY?
Bulldoze and move the football team.
Southern California Golden Bison, bitches.
does anyone have the Summer schedule for the Camden Susquehanna Bank Arena ?
I wonder what percentage of the Camden population will even notice or care about these reported cuts.
Besides, 80,000?...bfd.
I live just North of Camden and it has always been a hot bed of crime and what have you. It's a damn shame because the Camden water front is real nice.. err . was.
With subsidies eliminated, eminent domain and bulldozers the waterfront could be nice again.
"Camden is rampant with open drug-dealing, prostitution and related crimes."
In other words, it has thriving pharmaceutical and entertainment industries.
If the city really wants to decrease crime, then they should start by commiting less thefts against property owners and businesses.
No more half-stepping. If you want to eliminate crime in Camden, eliminate Camden.
Libertarianism = individual rights supercede community rights.
Anarchism = decentralized self-governance (non-coercive, adaptive) where individual rights and community well-being are balanced.
Come on. It's really not complicated.
"Libertarianism" means I expect gummit to come help me out whenever I feel like someone's rippping me off, but I don't want to pay big bad gummit in the meantime.
It's just common sense.
That's why it's such a strong argument and attracts so much attention.

Give the laid off workers hard hats, bulldozers and a 401K.
Let's get down to the work of razing 19th century America.
This isn't a museum.
Be willing to bet that crime will go down when these cops are laid off. HaHa
This will become interesting, many will be watching. Also they aren't the only municipalities that are seeing the horrible conclusion of spending to much money and not taking in enough. We are going down to a third world nation, and it won't be pleasant.
The vast majority of the population won't notice the difference between a society run by the gummit and the society run by the mafia. That's the beauty of a fascist transition.
Everyone's used to being told what to do.
You think it matters when it's gummit or "the family"?
Why is everyone afraid to say it?!? Blacks = high crime and ghettos! Since the mid-1960's, thry spent over $1.5 trillion to "lift" blacks up. And they're worse off than ever. Crime rates, STD's, illegitimacy rates, drop out rates, gang numbers, you name it! Let's call a spade a spade and cut off ALL long term welfare and let those parasites lift themselves up.Even if it means a mass culling! Blacks are the curse of America, and it's symbol, MLK is a symbol of black America. Any street named after him means "middle of the ghetto!"
if you get rid of the blacks, then the jews will just prop up the mexicans... since you wanting to be all blunt and shit

Actually, I thought my command of English was pretty good for a non native speaker but these guys put me to shame. Its back to school to brush up on my English, I am not competetive in the new usa.
Maybe you could learn a trade?
Artistic endeavor doesn't suit everyone, yanno.
A screwdriver is a relatively simple machine to operate.
No, thanks. I will stay here in asia. I am too old to learn how to use a screwdriver to jimmy locks.
I don't blame you, actually.
I know how to use a screwdriver, but there's a real threat they'll lock me up, so I just work a straight gig.
It's so fulfilling.
The governments are left with no other alternative than to cut costs as the blame for causing the financial crises is to be shared by all the parties involved.
Individuals kept on spending even in face of declining incomes by using the cheap and easily available loans handed over to them by the bankers.
The bankers kept on lending to the individuals, who they knew would never be able to repay their loans, because they were getting commission and charging exorbitant interest on the loans. Moreover they were able to sell the poor loans (after getting them fraudently rated as AAA) to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. The bankers also sold these toxic products to the pension funds and fixed income investors for commissions knowing very well they will go down in value when the borrowers default. The bankers were confident that the government would route tax payers collections to them in case of any mishap as they had become too big to fail and controlled the politicians, rule-makers and the rule enforcers.
The politicians around the world are nothing more than auction items which can be sold to the highest bidder. They will do whatever they can for the lobbyist paying them the maximum amount of money or votes, be it the unions, the banksters, the richest corporations or individuals. They are in the power seat to extract maximum advantage for themselves in the small time frame they occupy the seat of power.
The rest of the population is least of their concerns. The only activity they do is pacify the majority of the population using false statistics and promises of a better future so that they do not lynch them and their masters while they are robbing the taxpayers.
