Not at all. A couple hundred grand will get you a nice life in most Asian countries (Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines etc.) it's just sorting out the immigration/passport issues that can be the tricky part.
I'll be lucky to scrape together 100k, so I'm considering a political asylum request or some humanitarian issue. I guess once things deteriorate to rioting and government round ups of 'domestic terrorists', it might be a little easier to make, and hopefully get, granted a request. I'm already located out of the USA but may not be able to stay where I'm at. If things go where I think they're headed, I probably won't want to stay where I'm at. I've got a couple of other countries within several hundred miles that I'm looking at.

Further, this video wasn't talking so much about unemployment benefits ending, but about hyperinflation. What are people going to do when NOONE can afford food, rather than just a tiny sub portion of the population (who could be provided for by friends and family)? No surer way to cause a riot than to interrupt the food supply, which is certain to be one of the first effects of hyperinflation.
And good for you, signing up for seed banking. Gardening is a nice, relaxing, and rewarding hobby. I love getting fresh vegetables out of the garden. I can them and enjoy them throughout the year. The fact that it is a backup food supply is a nice bonus.
Don't forget that it won't be long till it will be illegal to grow your own food in your own yard. Enjoy it while you can. Seed sales on my site are up and growing. Put the survival seed add on there a year ago as tongue in cheek kinda joke. Ha, turned out to be not so funny as monthly sales are pretty strong. You may be right about riots. But you are wrong about the country.
The upside is that the U.S. could be the best of the worst. The manufacturing, value-added base was outsourced to China by Jack Welcher, the American dream (home was inflated then burned down), and currently the solution to too much debt is more debt.

Realistically, there are only two paths here, both starting at the same point...
1. A controlled decent into a much lower standard of living. For those on fixed incomes and already living in poverty, life is going to get really tough. Population growth likely to reverse at some point.
2. Something breaks along the way during the controlled decent. Things get really ugly, really quick. Who knows where this leads, but there is a chance it is better than number 1. Could be worse too.
The math is the math. And you can run from it only so long. The central banker game is coming to an end as a result of an inherent flaw in it's mathematics. Speculation on what is next on the world stage is cool thought experiment stuff and another subject. The common demoninator though is that life is going to harder for many people, in a hurry.
