Magnified Picture Of Reactors 3 And 4 Post Explosion

Tyler Durden's picture

Tis but a scratch. We have just one question: why isnt Fukushima crawling with iRobots armed with cameras and geiger counters?

And a close up of the Reactor 4 blow out per an ongoing NISA conference:

and a last one, slightly better contrast

BBC:

0433: France is now urging its nationals in Tokyo to leave Japan or head to the south of the country, Reuters reports. It says Paris has asked the Air France carrier to provide planes for the evacuation

The existing major freeways/rail lines are effectively all on the east side of the island. East is split from west by a mountain range. The radiation will be low lying but will spread to the base of the mountain due to the vagaries of the wind and will therefore contaminate near all existing land connections with the North. The roads on the west are not sufficient.

Even if you can repair the roads and rail lines in the east before the onset of radiation, or if repair is not needed, who is going to drive through? Do you stop and decontaminate the mud flaps or the rail cars?

f transport by land requires diversion to the west before north south transport can begin, over roads and to a lesser extent rails not built to sustain the traffic, can reconstruction be conducted by sea with the ports of the east in shambles?

The north-east of Japan is dead. Plans to evacuate now, relocate to the west and south and then plans, not to rebuild per se,  but to expand in the west and south, if that is even feasible, should begin ASAP.

America and Canada would greatly benefit from open immigration for as many as are willing.

Someone earlier said that the tell was that there are no international forces, such as the U.S. Military coming in to help.  Japan may ask for it:

http://uk.reuters.com/article/2011/03/16/japan-quake-smoke-idUKLKE7DB025...

However, you would think that other nations would be proactively offering assistance.  That the U.S. Navy backed-off earlier this week is also very telling.

So while those saying that this isn't a big problem may be right, the apparent lack of control by TEPCO coupled with the absence of outside help suggests otherwise.

Except in the ME.  Those dicks are begging to be glassed.

What a train wreck.  Now's a good time to have a couple of 8's and 7's hit (and they will).  It'll create another tsunami, and wash all the radioactive stuff into ocean and make it go away.  Tsunami in Japanese means eraser.

The original word was sunamit but somewhere along the line a king or someone important liked the t in front. They do those things because they can.

George Bush did it.  GW will soon have the details of how the CIA snuck in teams of demolition experts to take out these reactors, cuz buildings don't burn.

Has anyone read this? Reactors 5 and 6, which were supposed to be "cold" as they were shut down for maintenance before the earthquake, may be "live". No.5 Reactor is definitely "live", confirmed by the government Agency official.

Reactor 5 had already nuclear fuel in the Pressure Vessel, ready to re-start, when the earthquake hit. They now tell us.

God bless the people working at the site.  They are true heroes.

All those logging in secretly hoping for a mass explosion.  Guess what?  You are wrong. Not gonna happen.

Uranium miners are a buy.
