Maria Bartiromo: "Technicals Do Matter"

RobotTrader's picture

Turned on CNBC this afternoon and saw Maria "Octomom" Bartiromo screaming and screaching about how GE stock broke out because "technicals do matter".  No doubt, an attempt to curry favor with Jeff Immelt, since that big basketball she's carrying may create image problems vs. the younger, slender, anchorette hotties.

Maria is slowly but surely morphing into the next mom to pop out multiple babies....

Any accident that Maria's pushing and shoving happened to get some mo-mo players on board GE in order to please the boss?

I'm sure her comments will get every chart monkey to pull this one up on the scans tonight....

Also noted that various rumors are now being floated about supposed acquisition targets, thus getting some of the junk plays to start moving.

Like Sprint.  Hesse is desperate to get his stock back up over $5 so it will become eligible for margin borrowing..

Another Bottle Rocket run lately has been Wynn's, no doubt gambling fever is returning with a vengeance, with everybody ordering Asian escorts, which is Wynn's specialty...

Another "Pots and Pans" breakout today, the 19-year old gamers are jumping all over these....

And don't forget the bellweather of speculation...

DRYS getting HeatMapped up the last few days:

And on and on it goes, as speculation becomes more increasingly rampant as long term "investors" are becoming unhappy with getting 14 basis points on their T-Bills, so they are rushing back into the NYSE casino....

Can someone explain to me exactly what the fuck is going on with this stock?

If you like ZOOM, fine  ...  I just don't get who would dump that kind of money on a stock all at once when they're guaranteed to lose most of it within days.  Does not compute.

It's the "bigger fool" theory of economics--buy trash that will hopefully go up a little bit, then get a bigger fool to buy it off of you before it tanks.

It's laughable that Bartiromo mentioned the
technicals. CNBC is virtually devoid of technical
analysis. I've always believed that was the key
to showing what fraud they truly are. It's the one
stock show that rarely analyzes a stock chart.

so, does immelt got those 4 or 5 billion shares for the secondary priced yet?

AIG was a bit disappointing today with only a 9.48% runup, particularly after most analysts have said it is worthless.  even p.o.s. wells fargo downgraded them.

Maybe I am weird, but I have always found her rather unattractive.  Not just her looks either.  She seems appallingly stupid to me.

she is IMHO bat-shit stupid and i think this guy http://www.nosferatuscoffin.com/portal/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/nosferatularge.jpg may well be her grandfather or father. They share some common facial features. I picture her like some sort of a hybrid between that guy and dodecamom.

Several years ago, Playboy wanted to pay her big $$$!  CNBC is cable version of this old stock market show on channel 22 in Los Angeles, KWHY.  All the guests on the show were a bunch of scammers.  Gene Morgan got in trouble and that piece of shit Hill Williams really pushed the crap.  Anyway, the staff had to keep asking the same stupid shit questions day in, day out.  CNBC is just a job, and the job is to sell stuff.  I truly doubt that Maria is dumb as a bag of rocks.

I am thinking Maria would look hot in this spaghetti top: http://www.cafepress.com/fishgonebad.238155217

I also find her somewhat unattractive. Though you could prove in a court of law that she technically is attractive, I don't feel it looking at her.  Something about her double black eyes and droopy face.

The Question becomes will we ever see a fundie priced stock again? BTW "Steal" did you notice, the Chinese did go for the Autos...I was close, it was just auto parts today, but IMHO that is just the "testing the waters" before they go full board Crazy on us...60 days in WTO hearings will buy some time...and Maria is pregnant...isn't she too old for that???

No, you're wrong. Steve Wynn actually throws hookers out of his casino. Right here:

http://www.lvrj.com/news/26274544.html

Rbt, I would be careful about bad-mouthing Wynn on a popular market website. He has lots of friends you probably wouldn't like to be enemies with.

Actually ALL the casinos throw the hookers out because they hate seeing the $$$ going to them when it should be dropped in their box.

That may apply for the cheap street hookers, but I'm sure if you're a high roller high priced ladies are no problem, just ask Spitzer, they just don't want the floozies coming in off the street competing with their house girls.

I see that the US Treasury is having discussions about unloading our ownership in C.

Rumor has it that those who buy the common will be getting a tax credit for their full purchase.  This is part of the TBTF reform.

Cash for C...love it :) Taxpayers get to buy it twice but with a 50% rebate. Offer expires 9/18/09--original receipt required. Rebate must be postmarked no later than 9/19/09. Allow 6-8 weeks for processing. Not valid in AK, AZ, NV, CA, or FLA.

I heard if you present your brokerage statements that show you hold 100 or more shares of C at Sears you get 10% off any energy star appliance or American made tires too.
