Market Breaks As Stocks Explode To Celebrate Sub 2.9% 10 Year

Tyler Durden's picture

The capital markets, which are celebrating accelerating deflation and inflation at the same time, are now officially insane, as the Dow has diverged from its credit implied fair value by about 170 points! This will all end in lots and lots of tears. We hope the computers enjoy trading with each other as much as all carbon based lifeforms relinquish the en masse abandonment of the stock market.

Look, our system is not perfect, but it is the best system known to mankind since man has developed writing.

Best for who?

Criminal vampiric squid and parasitic banksters?

The 300 families that rule the world from behind the political minions and talking heads?

You should know better than to come here posting your "be happy with your lot in life" tripe.

To the peasants, the homeless, the unemployed, the foreclosed upon, the downsized, the rightsized and the reorganized, the stuggling family, the new graduate burdened with student loans, etc. your cupcake reference may evoke memories of Marie Antoinette.

Tread lightly, or better yet, tread not at all.

Maybe if 10yr was 7% and falling but not 2.90%. Clearly, there's something wrong witht eh picture. Rising deficits, high UE, Anemic growth, housing and consumer. Unless, 100's of thousands of jobs are created and credit is unleashed, we'll see continued falling bond yields, then a big jerk down in equities. If $3.5T in stimulus didn't do it, another USd dump wwill fail as well. HAL9000 is "corrupt" and already malfunctioned.

The economy is on its last and is acting sort of like a captain drunk at the wheel and the ship is just spinning around, from what ever wind catches it.

When this comes crashing down... and it will, it's going to be terrifying. The world will not have ever seen anything like it.

Bloomberg headlines currently:

Most U.S. Stocks Rise as Confidence Overshadows GDP

Most U.S. stocks rose, extending the biggest monthly gain in a year for the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index , as higher-than-estimated consumer confidence and business activity tempered concern the economic rebound is slowing.

  • U.S. Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index Fell to 67.8

Confidence among U.S. consumers fell in July to the lowest level since November, posing a threat to the biggest part of the economy.

google advanced search on this site and "decoupling".  in this context, need long-short, fx, chains of fx crosses, and futures background.  I've just given evidence that I AM NEW_MEAT in this environment, so won't be candy.  But I enjoy the hell out of watching.  Kind'a my voyeristic ... er ... method of learning to be better at, well, these days I'm just trying to preserve and maybe ... well ... whatever.

Email from my brother, is attributed to Robin Williams but I have not verified it.  Figured some of you would enjoy this nonetheless; it's so obvious it makes you want to cry...

    The Plan!

Robin Williams, wearing a shirt that says 'I love  New York  ' in Arabic.

You got to love Robin Williams........Even if he's nuts! Leave it to Robin Williams to come up with the perfect plan. What we need now is for our UN Ambassador to stand up and repeat this message.
Robin Williams' plan... (Hard to argue with this logic!)

'I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan.'

    1)   'The US, UK , CANADA and  AUSTRALIA will apologize to the world for our 'interference' in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic, Hussein, and the rest of those 'good 'ole' boys', we will never 'interfere' again.

    2)   We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany ,  South Korea , the Middle East, and the  Philippines . They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.

    3)   All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where they are from. They're illegal!!!  France will welcome them.

YOU HAVE TO LOVE HIM...A MUST READ...READ THIS! HE MADE THIS SPEECH IN  NEW YORK .

    4)   All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!! No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

    5)   No foreign 'students' over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a 'D' and it's back home baby.

    6)   The US, UK , CANADA and  AUSTRALIA will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while...

    7)   Offer  Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

    8)   If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not 'interfere.' They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

    9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens...

    10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us 'Ugly Americans' any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH...learn it...or LEAVE. Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

'The Statue of  Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling, 'you want a piece of me?' ‘

When my own rage levels reach combustable levels the words "Cake Eater" often spill out along with a number of others most wouldn't want written on a bumper sticker.  We're nothing but cake eaters in their eyes of the elite so why not turn it around and use it as our own flag?  Yeah, we cake eaters could have special extra tasty recipes set aside just for oligarchs and kleptocrats.
