Market Manipulations Will Continue Until Credibility Returns

Tyler Durden's picture

It's just getting sad now. Either that, or the head trader of the PPT is from Tijuana.

I really hope that's what your inundated with because thats exactly the sentiment that's required to trigger the next selloff - complacency (or maybe at this stage relief that 'my portfolio's recovering after that big selloff - whew!).

STARVE THE BEAST.

They are in control as long as you continue to participate in this charade. Take their power away by STAYING OUT.

Money in a safe, Gold buried in the backyard, lot's of food and ammo in store. Eat me banksters!

Goldman bought 1000's of big ES contracts last week around 1060.  Therefore expect at least a run to the 1140-1160 area over the next couple weeks on low volume.

Not to mention the normal quarter end tape painting.

Its as simple as that.

I  explain you the solution

2)leverage the premium

3)buy US 2Y

4)repo US 2Y

5)buy SPY (to keep it >110)

6)buy AAPL (to keep it>260)

7)borrow in Japan, sell JPY, buy Euro, buy a huge amount of CAC and IBEX June future

8)explain this to some quants

See ya next month

The economy will not improve until they (fed, politicians, wall street investment houses) let the market clean out the mal-investment.  They are preventing this from happening by their manipulation.  Hence the economy is going no where, not surprising.  The worst would be over by now if we had let the market work.

This tells me they think that the pain to clean-up all the trash is something they do not want to deal with because they know it will be their demise.  They may even fear for their lives …..

Before you guys bitch - this is the first time I put up any shameless self promotion. But I think you'll enjoy it as we play those types of gyrations on a daily basis. Proof is on the chart - period.

Mole - you run a great place over there.  No shame in that plug at all.  People should check it out.  Plus, the general atmosphere over there is very much like it is here.

Myself, I am still there everyday... lurking status again though.  Opted to go cash earlier this year... so I have faded into the background a little.  Watching... waiting with a big f*****g club (no frustration here <twitch, twitch>).

The market is manipulated. Gee, tell us something we didn't know. What kills me is, everyone sits and bitches about it. Truth be told this is a great trading market, as long as you don't hold a position for longer then a few minutes. Sure we all know the world is ending, but that doesn't mean this psycho market can't go higher as we die a slow death.

When I began storing food......they all derided me.

When I bought a whole house generator and giant underground propane tank for it......they all derided me.

When I used a lot of cash to pay off ALL of my debts......they all derided me and said "cash is king dumbass!"

When I scored 20 used 3' X 3' solar panels.........they all derided me.

When I built up a collection of lead and high speed lead delivery devices.......they all derided me.

When TSHTF.......they can all go pound fucking sand.

I dont believe real shorts are STUPID enough to keep trying to kick the football Ben keeps place-holding. 'Short covering rallies'? Nonsense, might get a 1/2% but not 6% in a week. This is all pure outright manipulation in a zero volume environment. Next 'fat finger' day on deck since all the bulls are placated in their stellar trading prowess proven out this week? I believe so. Its not all that damn spectacular anyway, sitting around DOW 10,400, big f'n deal.

Just sit back and laugh at the great masters of the universe with all their paper wealth, whoopee choke on it.

Im with Taraxias, 'eat me banksters'.

I've seen some shit ,but this takes the cake . I really feel bad for people who go through this torture daily . It honestly seems that the market is the only thing left holding the world together and it is on the edge always ready to fall any day, week, month, year(s) now .

When it falls I have to wonder if I will feel relieved ,sad ,angry or unimpressed completely .This daily soap of "days of our markets" has taken it's toll and at this point I am about ready to put it down ,get as prepared as I can for when this thing gets taken off the air and go enjoy what little time I have left before it hits the fan .

And to think I was not going to have a drink tonight. By the way in case anyone cares the President invited Maddow and a few editors and journalists to a luncheon today surely to keep them on message. For the love of God we need to get Zero Hedge more exposure and I never thought I would say these words but, "This site may be our only hope"

A few years back when I met my wife, she was mystified how Americans invested in stocks.  She said it was like gambling and could not be trusted, due to her experience with sotcks in Brazil.  Back in the day, with my brain well washed, I disagreed with her and said it is a safe investment, since all the T.V. people and financial planners said so.  Along came 2008-present and I was schooled in the cost of listening to talking heads.  Stocks are gambling and I only use a small amount of money for speculation now.  No 401k.  Keep your money close. The game is rigged, but it feels good when you get a winning hand periodically.

If anyone wants to see the market we're probably about to get for the next few weeks just take note of 11/19/09 through 12/18/09.  This is what happens when natural market forces are trying to bring the market down to where it should be, but all the manipulation (Fed's after-hours futures masturbation, HFT, etc.), holds it like a stuck pig near a resistance level in hopes it will breakout.

Think the window to watch is in the future versus the past:  3 Nov 2010 (Democrat majority has lost, and has 3 months to remake the world with no consequences to their reelection which they already lost--and a President who will sign everything) through sometime in Jan 2011 (new GOP Congress gets sworn in--which is not to say they won't fuck things up too eventually).

These 3 months=socialist believers with absolutely nothing to lose cuz they're leaving power.

Strap your seatbelt tight.

Massive exposure to the banks that also make up the PPT...nothing like a 400 point rally in the face of horrific data to make those puts worthless.

Look out below next week.
