Do I need special software to listen?
iTunes? WinAmp?
my gaydar just blipped.
your awesomeness is sometimes overwhelming
awesome; now i need to get about a dozen Red Bulls in me to go trough the night.
That sounds pretty scary...
how so Minnesota
Your words, not mine... from 6 days ago... "it will take me about a week or so, to get accustomed to the everyday language and everyday concepts, so i will probably vary from highly vulgar to highly incomprehensible posts for that time period"... mix that in with a dozen Red Bulls and anything could happen :-) Just kidding CB...
I love awesome reporting.
Good news travels fast
Perfect... now you will have time to explain the difference between my generation and your generation... something about yours is 'community' and mine is 'system'...
Minnesota: watch "The Bank" yet?
Guess what I am watching in 60 minutes... going to watch it and go back and forth between it and Radio Zero tonight... I will give you my review on this thread when I am done :-)
Don't think it will mix too well with Zero Radio... lol
Funny... I'm not going to have Radio Zero playing while I am watching it... but I will keep up with the entertaining banter on the thread... then I will flip on Radio Zero when I am done with the movie... I could be done by the time Marla starts :-)
Yeah, I think she stepped out to go to a trance/techno addicts anonymous meeting... and what was with last Friday? She was uh... awol.
I loved it... that movie was written well before its time... the internal workings of the squid...thanks for the recommendation!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
:-)
deleted..
Would there be a way to share this to view tonight? Just browsed and came up empty.
Based on Frank Owen's recommendation I ordered the DVD off Amazon a few weeks back... otherwise I would share...
Fair enough, enjoy. I think I've been subtly prompted to have another Office Space viewing until the DJ comes from mile-high to underground.
What's happening? We need to talk about your TPS reports. Did you get the memo??
That MnN is the effect of a chronic pain management patient who, for reasons I can not even fathom, decided to attempt to mix four stiff drinks with his daily dose of morphine sulfate. For a guy that believes in Dr. DRE's axiom; "I aint leavin', I like breathin" I sure succeeded in not only making a complete fool out of myself, I almost violated one of my key principles of life.
On point, there is no explanation.
Now, would you like to review the video submissions (pictures only do so much in a video medium) for employment? I may have discovered cake to go with Amanda's, Flavia's & Diedre's cookies & Beeker's whatever.
You are funny Miles... I just thought there was a concept that after living my entire life had never heard of before... so thanks for clearing that up.
And I believe that the cut-off period has passed for applications for ZHTv... Lizzy settled that issue once and for all last week :-)
your choice :-), although I thought the submissions to balance the cookies are clever in their own way.
Turner (1969) distinguishes between:
existential or spontaneous communitas, the transient personal experience of togetherness
normative communitas, communitas organized into a permanent social system
ideological communitas, which can be applied to many utopian social models
I think ZH is an existential and ideological communitas.
Absolutely awesome. I've been humming that Andrey Loud song in my head since your last set. Looking forward to tonight!
Sweet!
Oh, man, I wish all the CAPTCHA questions were like this:
"one times (-25) equals..."
OK...I entered "-25" and got:
"Math question cannot be longer than 2 characters but is currently 3 characters long."
Am I crazy??
I do not think so.
I feel your pain.
I got 55 + 14 = ?
Answer:
69
♥
I got the same "3 characters" few times.
Marla is a golden addition to Zero Hedge. Testosterone driven male traders can project whatever image or fantasy they want on her.
What about estrogen driven male traders? Don't make that face. You know exactly who I mean.
Robert Paulson?
Robert Pisani
+10
Meatloaf?
Have you ever played "Supply and Demand" by Amos Lee?
Thanks Marla!
Marla effin Singer is my hero. She works hard for ze people :-)
Works hard for ZH people also. :)
Ah mon amour,

Can someone from ZH team answer me why the fuck do i get shown " Marijuana is bad mmmmkay " ads here; when I KNOW its not; is this a ploy developed by ZH, Google and Colombian drug cartels to get me ( us ) on blow ( i mean the " blow " is the drug that fits the demographics on ZH )
I never get that one. Just the "One Stock a Month" witch lady ads.
Hemp is a useful product ;) .
Cheeky, I still remember the invitation you extended me to Croatia. When everything is up and running you are more than welcome to visit my grow house in SanDiego :-D
Steak, the invite is still valid; when SHTF you can re-locate your grow house to a more " suitable " climate ...

In related news, Colorado medical marijuna dispensaries are hireing staff for quality control, that's right, get paid to debate the quality of the product... wooT! It's so on like chron..

the only ad I got for a long time was Ben Stein trying to get me to join Intelligent Design assholes.
I love rz. Can a playlist get posted? I am aimless.
Do we have downloadable format for this?
All the sets are recorded and will (eventually) be available for download.
The best I have heard in a long time!!! Where will it be available at for download? Thanks
Alright, I am going to ask this question one last time.... Has anyone found any decent software for recording streaming audio? I keep getting errors when i try it with VLC.. I tried "Easy Radio` and the quality is crap. Don't say "Marla's going to be putting up all the recordings sometime" because it's not going to happen.
replying to myself and whoever might want to record... `streamripper` is a plug-in for winamp and is working fine so far for me.
Audacity. Record ->>currently listening<-- is the option. works perfect.
Total Recorder. I had to add the LAME .mp3 engine manually and pay a modest licensing fee, but it is worth it. A decent 128kbps stream that I grab and play back through a squeezebox feeding some proper audio gear sounds damn good. Affiliated only as a happy customer.

On a Mac,
Jack to capture the output and feed to the audio-in and Amadeus Pro for recording.
Jack is free, Amadeus is shareware.
sounds a bit meet joe blackish, thomas newman, i love that soundtrack
Ruth, been meaning to tell you I love the shades. Frame the avatar really nice.
thanks, we are told to dress appropriately when you work for banks, banksterssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss, i mean
and no cleavage! unless you're on a sales call. :)
we are on a liquid lunch schedule these days, so it's totally acceptable! Sales tactics, well taken. Is that your doggie in the window? Great pyr's are my fav but rotts have got such a big heart.
Not my boy, unfortunately - lost all his pics in a digital meltdown. He was AKC perfect, though. You're right - they are full of heart. I felt so awful when he broke his leg and I couldn't get him to the vet until almost 36 hours after it happened. Cancer. Had to put him down. Last thing he ever did was lick my face.
Damn I miss that boy, but yes, he looked like that - gorgeous and all with huge love.
Pyr's are small horses, btw. :)
Sorry to hear that, heartbreaking, I know, and more like a polar bear if they boxed...lol
I took it pretty well, thanks. Here's an approximation of his character: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZ5YVMRRsLc
They are magnificent beasts.
Whatever is playing now is haunting, beautiful ( now being 8:21 CDT ). Not attending Austin City Limits 3 day Fest this year, so this is quite nice as an alternative.
Yeah, I agree. I was scrambling to find some plug-in for Foobar_2000 so that I could save the audio stream... Too late...
Anyone know the artist/album?
sneakers movie soundtrack
I was born in Rio in 1965 to Western European parents who left socialist Portugal to find work in Brazil. My father was a shrimp fisherman. We came to US in 1969. Freedom is beautiful - and Sarah Palin is too. Peace
Just music...no Marla...
The Chairman, October 1: the story continues:
Even as the stench of the intestinal aftermath of last night's double beef burrito combo platter wafts unabated from the private commode, you step quickly back to your desk, sip your coffee, and carefully unlock the solitary contents of the desktop, a scarred battered leather briefcase that, judging from its disfigured complexion, had seen more than its fair share of late night, hastily-called meetings in the dark canyons of Lower Manhattan. The well-oiled locks click open as you enter the codes, and with your brow furrowed and eyes squinting, you carefully scrutinize its contents. Belgian passport, Swiss account passbook, a few 100 Euro notes, a stack of Hong Kong gold depository receipts, and your trusty Berretta 92FS 9mm semiautomatic pistol. You pick up the Beretta, deftly push forward and back the barrel slide with a satisfying cshik-cshik, and admire its heft in the moist grasp of your pale, fat fingers. You allow yourself another smile. An older model - all metal, U.S. made, manufactured on the fabled Mitsui Seiki line. The best. Too bad there aren't more products like it left in America, you muse. Maybe then you wouldn't have to . . .
Reality in the form of the harsh, metallic ring of your desk telephone rouses you from your brief reverie. You automatically glance down at the caller ID screen in the darkened room while reaching for the receiver. Paulson. Again. Christ, you think, will this ever end? And what kind of music is blaring upstairs in the trading rooms, plump bulbous beats thumping as sinuous ribbons of money move at light speed across borders. . . those damn kids, you think, even as Paulson's voice starts its familiar roar from across the void. . .
+1 - great perspective
I can only hope that Andy's book keeping, Miles's chase to publication, Ned & Cindy's legal analysis and the peel the skin of the rotting fruit journalism of ZH helps to make this outcome... inevitable.
my dear marla,
you bring out the spirit of this place. and i ain't speakin' 'bout that douche johnny may-nerd.
zeppelin's post above entrenches my view that what you & mr. td have created is le meilleur.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who uses Excel to "get" the Captcha.

Only the sophisticated audience, Zeta. Talk to us more , Marla.
this is the most generic progressive trance tech house bullshit.... cmon stick to the finance stuff. glorious accidents like mizing music have no place for data points...
Is this live????

Wow, stayed up way too late. Was fun.
I am Chumbawamba.
Is there an archive of the show?
So you knew Chitown was going to lose the Olympic bid?
That makes it +2 for Brazilian Pickpockets.
