Multiculturalism and diversity are great. Political Correctness sucks. The two need not be attached at the hip. The writer makes some astute, objective observations and mixes them with some paranoid, biased observations to reach a dangerous conclusion. Some commenters said it best: live and let live. Aside from the basic tenets of Western society like human rights, property rights, freedom of association, speech, and commerce we should all be able to live together without imposition, regardless of culture. Cultures have always and will always evolve- unless the aforementioned principles are being violated I say: get over it.
evolution of culture doesn't mean that culture is enhanced. In America, illegal latinos are replacing American culture with low class Mexican culture all done under guidance by federal government JUST LIKE SLAVERY.
They are not importing mexican cancer researchers, they are importing gangsters.

Italy recently ousted their right-wing government in favor of a Leftist, super-Eurocrat, Romano Prodi, as PM, and Communist ministers who want open doors for Muslims from North Africa to enter. Which actually leaves Germany's Angela Merkel as the least bad leader among the larger nations. But Ms. Merkel is no Thatcher, and certainly not a Churchill. Her support for the awful EU Constitution should be enough to discount her as a potential leader of a de-Eurabisation of Europe. The only Western European leader in power with something resembling a spine is Anders Fogh Rasmussen in Denmark, but Denmark is too small to lead this. I hope we are waiting for a Churchill to step forward, but I sometimes fear we are waiting for Godot.
We complain about weak leaders, but maybe we keep producing weak leaders because we, as a people, are weak? And if we finally find a Churchill, will the press rip him apart for whatever flaw they can find? Could the real Churchill have been elected today, or would the media eat him alive because of his heavy drinking and replace him with a slick boy scout? And if a strong leader steps forward, will he have a democratic mindset or will he have a darker agenda?"

you are overestimating schools to turn out educated populace.
They are either:
1) praying to some God that they miraculously get hired with their liberal arts degree in women's studies from Southern State U
2) watching sports on Big screen TV drinking some sugar water and eating fat
3) on the internet for browsing for adult entertainment or facebook or celebrity gossip

Something is mighty fishy about this. Question: When does a steroid pumping gym-rat, gun-enthusiast, with a bit of chemistry knowledge develop the talent and have the time to write nearly a million-word essay of why he's pissed off?
Couple of things going on here:
-This is one big spin-up to control agri-chemicals so that only government authorized purchasers can acquire said chemicals. Soon the government will control ALL food production. Then where will we be?
-Tighter restrcitions on gun ownership. Soon the governemt will have all the guns. Then where will we be?
-Government surveillance of internet sites. This will be under the guise of not allowing "hate" to spread. Soon the government will know everything your read and write and will control EVEN MORE SO THAN NOW. Then where will we be?
-The scuba suit picture looks heavily photoshopped. Crude propaganda.
-Isn't it quite convienent he elluded ALL authorities until the damage was done even AFTER the 90-minute SWAT team reaction?
In essence, Patriot Act, part deux, European Style.
Sorry, but this is all WAY too convienent for the authorities to ratchet up the tyranny.

That's right. And it is widely reported here in Norway that a lot of the manifest is copy and poste from different sources. Something from the Una bomber, something from well known bloggers (Fjordman etc) You will also see that the copy material is a lot better written than his own material. You will also see that in his own material he is very self centetered. Seems like some kind of narcissitic "grand me" kind of things. He writes that under half is his own words (probably the diary plus some more).
His own words are not as coherent and rational like the copied words. Example is how he hit out at sexual immorality (his mother and sisters STDs and his stepfather's hooker adventures in Thailand plus his friends that have a lot of sex partners) and at the same time tells about how he is gonna celebrate one of his last days before the attack with two luxury prostitutes.
It is also clear that he has been using a long time planning this shit. Norwegian bloggers and message board folks (vgd.no) that has had MSN discussions with him 6-7 years ago, when he was a known board member at discussion forums are telling two things:
1) He started as a liberitarian that developed into more and more critical to Islam
2) He was working on a "huge project"
The source of this is a blogger that has discussed with ABB from all the way back to ten years ago, when ABB was a member of the progressive party's youth division. I have even posted link to one discussion of those two two years ago where ABB is acknowlodging their old discussion in the beginning of 2000 and that he (ABB) has left the laizzes fare ideas that he posted "back in the good old times at the FPU forum".
Jeeze, he even referred to the Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight." See Page 639.

His weapon is indeed the Ruger mini-14. He also had a Glock 17. He went first to prague for weapons but couldn't get it there, he was already 5 years member of a shooting club, and he became active and received the licenses for his weapons. The political response is that "we will fight this with a more open society", something the political leaders already has demonstrated by going into huge crowds talking to the people without big security around them.
There are of couse calls for death penalty for the terrorist, but that is just a small part of the population. Seems not one of the political parties are in favor of death penalty after this event.
There has not been any suggestions to change gun laws (hand weapons has quite strict regulations, but almost every house on the countryside has hunting guns).
For some reason it reminds me of that scene in Under Seige, when Tommy Lee Jones is goofing with the CIA and Joint Chiefs about "Welcome to the revolution" and "erosion of topsoil." Meanwhile his real motive is imply to offload the Tommies to sell on the black market for billions.
