McDonalds Hires 62,000, Turns Away Over 938,000 Applicants For Minimum Wage, Part-Time Jobs
This is what the US economy has been reduced to: McDonalds reports that as part of its employment event to hire 50,000 minimum wage, part-time (mostly) workers, subsequently raised to 62,000 it received a whopping 1 million applications, or a Tim Geithner jealousy inducing 6.2% hit rate (h/t X. Kurt. OSis). Alas, the US economy is now so pathetic that the bulk of the population will settle for anything. Literally anything. And the saddest part: over 938,000 applicants were turned away. Here's hoping to Burger King needs a few million janitors in the immediate future too. And yes, aside from reality, things in America are really recovering quite nicely.
From Bloomberg:
McDonald’s and its franchisees hired 62,000 people in the U.S. after receiving more than one million applications, the Oak Brook, Illinois-based company said today in an e-mailed statement. Previously, it said it planned to hire 50,000.
The April 19 national hiring day was the company’s first, said Danya Proud, a McDonald’s spokeswoman. She declined to disclose how many of the jobs were full- versus part-time. McDonald’s employed 400,000 workers worldwide at company-owned stores at the end of 2010, according to a company filing.
Earlier this month, McDonald’s said sales at stores open at least 13 months climbed 2.9 percent in the U.S. after it attracted more diners with items such as beverages and the Chipotle BBQ Bacon Angus burger. The fast-food chain has about 14,000 stores in the U.S. and more than 18,000 abroad. About 80 percent of all McDonald’s stores are franchised.

I wasn't offended. Nothing can replace the four letter word...
It's ok to be angry and blow some steam. If you're still in the US, start thinking of plan B.
I have enough gasoline, silver, guns, ammo and food to post up in my house, or drive to Canada if worst comes to worst.
Genocide: I'm lovin' it
Yeah, but obviously if there were 3-4billion more programmers on Earth, you'd be fuckin' out of work too.
Most of the world can't be highly-skilled, you see--because once that happens, that's not "highly-skilled" anymore.
very, very true.
Wow. Its great to see that you had the blessing of a parent that gave a shit.
Oh yeah, and try to develope a skill when your working several shit house jobs to make ends meet because you got laid off of a job that paid good enough for you and your family to survive.
You have completely missed the fact that you recieved an opportunity that most never get and yet you throw it in other peoples faces as though everyone who didnt receive the same is just lazy.
Remember, Pride comes before destruction. Of this I can personally attest.
∞blessings
Very good point. Didn't mean to come off arrogant, this just frustrated me and I probably wrote a little too aggressive.
I'm well aware that I'm one of the lucky ones. I apologize to anyone who might have felt belittled by my previous post, just venting.
Technologies change and you may not be hot forever. Be sure to accumulate capital along the way and learn how to manage it. You'll also get plenty of chances to help people who need direction along the way.
Forgiven and forgotten.
Trust me, I have more flaws than I can count and at times I have the tendencey to overreact also.
It takes character to apologize and you've got just that.
You have my respect and appreciation. And I wish you the best with your endeavours.
You guys are BOTH losers. I myself have a GREAT job and will never lose it because I..........Hang on, phone call.
Ok, back......Fuck me!! I just got laid off....indefinitely.
ummmm...... you guys wanna hang out?
> my father told me when I was young (7 years old) to start in the technology industry and dedicate 100% of my effort into mastering it as best as I could.
Let's make ourselves useful. How can we teach the stupid worthless humans' fathers to hand out advice as good as this?
Good for you.
KISS MY ASS, ya geek bitch. Like the man above said, much more diplomatically, you got yer head up yer ass so far ya can't see daylight. I'd suggest you pray hard to that "god" of yours (good luck with that) that you never have the privilege of walking in the shoes of the people you so self-righteously slam. It would be a lesson far surpassing your pathetic (and by the way, really small) life experience to date. Luvs....
There will come a day when even you will become disposable. How do I know? Call it a been there done that or what ever you want. Technology or the system will change and you will change with it numerous times. However, eventually you will price yourself out of existence. Good luck because with your attitude you will need it.
tekhneek, you have to stop wearing your compassion on your sleeve.
I generally like your insight..
I've been working since age 8, proud of it. Nobody owes anybody a damn thing, but at some point, the U.S. protects its own citizens, or it doesn't.... Just you wait until some Indian replaces you. Maybe then you won't be drinking a champagne over the misery of others.
You sound like an angry 99 er
Why is it my responsibility to maintain you in the lifestyle you wish to live?
Are you too good to get a mcjob?
Hey fag, I'm gainfully employed, have been for the last 22 years. How about you? I paid a $5000 check on top of my withholdings this tax year, how about you? I see a pizza-faced 19-year old in the Oral Roberts University Student Union writing this shyte...
As i mentioned thru hardwork and a bit of luck i own my own small mom and pop widget factory.
And primitive fundamentalists dont like athiests like me.
My child you do so have an education coming. But it will be so worth it. Trust me. Experience is so much fun. It will be so.. so... so educational.
Come back in forty years, then we'll talk.
Wow, you have worked in the computer industry for 8 years.
I've worked in it for 30. I saw the 80's and 90's come and go. The Golden Era for computer workers. What do you do? Java, Network shit? or some web script kiddie?
I saw the majority of my fellow computer workers being laid off and outsourced to india etc.
Honestly, how many of your fellow age group have a chance to land a position like you have? How many openings are there? It's only in the 10's of thousand kid.
Be a little more compassionate for the ones not so lucky as you.
They will look at you and THEY will laugh and say...
Fuck YOU, You stupid worthless human. Develop a fucking skill for the love of fucking god.
As he puts a 9 mil cap in your ass and takes EVERYTHING you own.
+9 trillion
I deserved that. My post was arrogant, my apologies.
Understatement of the year. It's tough out there kid, you've got a good old man, but not all of us are as lucky. Don't accept the slide towards parasitism-- of either the rich or poor-- but always have a sympathetic ear for the WORKING man. I worked at Wendy's when I was 16, it was the education of a lifetime. Again, the Bell Curve doesn't favor everyone.
We all need to learn. No one is immune. We all need a little compassion for the players who might not have had the same chances.
Peace.
My only wisdom to offer in these times is the lyrics to this song.
PULLING HARD AGAINST THE STREAM
Composed by Mr. BOOT.
In the world I've gained my knowledge,
And for it I've had to pay,
Though I never went to college
I've heard the poets say,
Life is a mighty river,
Rolling on from day to day,
Men are vessels launch'd upon it,
Sometimes wreck'd and cast away.
CHORUS: So then do your best for one another,
Making life a pleasant dream,
Help a worn and weary brother,
Pulling hard against the stream.
Many a bright good-hearted fellow,
Many a noble minded man,
Finds himself in water shallow,
Then assist him if you can,
Some succeed at ev'ry turning,
Fortune favours ev'ry scheme
Not a friend and not a shilling,
Pulling hard against the stream.
If the wind is in your favour,
And you've weather'd every squall,
Think of those who luckless labour,
Never get fair winds at all;
Working hard, contented, willing,
Struggling through life's ocean wide,
Not a friend and not a shilling,
Pulling hard against the tide.
Don't give way to foolish sorrow,
Let this keep you in good cheer,
Brighter days may come to-morrow,
If you try to persevere,
Darkest nights will have a morning,
Though the sky be overcast,
Longest lanes must have a turning,
And the side will turn at last.
I suppose you feel entitled to be your father's daughter. You owe it to your hard work and to the fact that you are better, you are special. Be careful, do not spit in the face of the Universe. It always tends to equilibrium and Universal laws are really always at work
Relax...
The Bernank has been overdosing on Prozac ever since his first ever press conference. Not only is the douchebag under pressure and depressed, he's also not even able to get it up, and I'm not talking about employment figures, lol
At this annual rate, it would be 15 years before the rest are employed and this is not even counting population growth due to birth.
This is just a stunt for politicians to say they created "jobs", but this has been going on last 15 years.
USDJPY still ticking up......
Meaningless... or look at it this way:
An American whore using more makeup than her Japanese counterpart... eg Geisha. In the morning you'll have a hangover and you won't be able to tell which one is .... uglier! but maybe you'll get aggregate value in that your penis will glow at night if you went to bed with the geisha. Either way, you're HIV positive!
Somebody has got to say this.
There is no free market for labor in the USA.
The minimum wage laws have killed it.
I am not trying to put a value judgment on this fact. I'm just pointing it out.
What if those applicants had to submit a bid as to what they would accept as a rate of pay? The hirees would be the ones willing to work for $1.00 per hour, if that.
So you are really talking about one million people whose time and whose labor is not worth $7.25/hr.
They are the tip of the iceberg.
This is the "structural unemployment" the wags talk about in vague terms. If you are unskilled, or if your skills are not in demand, this is your fate. The wage rates of unskilled labor worldwide have come to America. It is actually a major problem that it is unlawful to hire folks at those rates. Ergo, they remain unemployed.
Yes, we are more fucked than all the above posters have been willing to realize.
As pathetic as the facts may be, it still makes less sense to force unemployment on the unskilled via legislation. The minimum wage laws do not help the unskilled. They were passed to create a base for union contract negotiations. Politicians did not get big contributions from the unskilled, young people in order to pass these laws in the first place, or to raise the floor over the years.
Ignore reality at your peril.
At least the Bernanke is trying to fix this problem via inflation.
We could give them subminimum wage but basic government health care and earned income tax credit.
It is more honest and more sound economically than forcing them to fake a disability to survive.
There are plenty of countries around the world employing this approach. There was a brief period when people might've thought that the USA, being the single "wealthiest" country on Earth by any per-capita measurement, could do better for its citizens than Mexico or Chad.
But maybe you're right. We wake up to the fact that we can't, and most Americans should expect to sleep outdoors and die before 60.
Although what I don't understand is: if that's the society you want to live in, why not just go to Mexico or Chad NOW? It'd be a lot easier than waiting around for the USA to age into that shit.
And you'll live like a king!
DOWN WITH WAGES. 40 years of ZERO WAGE GROWTH is too benevolent.
Times like these call for austerity*
*excludes banker-gangsters and derivatives merchants, who will ALWAYS AND ETERNALLY PROTECTED in their freedom to use the opium den.
Precisely. These Alex P. Keaton doofs around here are far too willing to celebrate their raping at the hand of the banking oligarchy. Bunch of yuppie scum, they are.
Yeah, not much into self-reflection, are they?
Historical memory of a bull fight and unable to boil water, there's not much 'there' there.
They come out in the evening. Sunbelt jokers thinking that TPTB are their friends. Boy, do they have some rude awakenings... if you aren't top dog, you aren't nobody. They also seem to labor under the delusion that there is a difference between each half of the One Party. Ugh.
TPTB are not our friends, but neither are you socialists.
I'm not a socialist. I'm a patriotic American not pleased with the rape of my country by the Top 10 BHC's, the ChiCom's, and the rest of the scummy rabble. What are you? FYI I'm still officially registered as a Republican, a relic of my past life, but I now know enough to know that THE TWO PARTIES ARE THE SAME, and big business doesn't give a wet fart about us. ChiCom tool, ching chang chong, I'm sure you'll be one of the higher-ups when they take over.
For someone claiming not to be a socialist you sure talk like one. However angry unemployed or downsized republicans sound that way too.
Sorry you cant get a job that pays you what you think you are worth.
Again, I'm employed in a good job, but have sympathy for my fellow Americans that don't you faggot.
Which banker-gangster do you jerk off for a living, again?
Umm - OK. So you're saying that things would be better if McDonalds was allowed to pay their workers 50 cents an hour. But do you really want to live in that world?
Yes, I am. It's the only world we have, and I don't plan on leaving it anytime soon.
Putting aside all of the economist and theoretical bullshit I have to wade through in the comment section, the #1 tragedy of any "slump", "depression" or "recession", or "natural disaster" is that people who have something, anything, to offer society are left sitting on the couch watching the idiot tube.
If they have little to offer, they should still be allowed by law to offer it, and if a contract can be formed, we as a society will be better off for it. It has someting to do with that "accumulation of wealth" discussed above in this thread.
To the degree that we, as Americans, find a low prevailing wage to be deplorable, we have an ethical duty to take the steps necessary to raise it, which is basically to accumulate enough capital so that a man can leverage his labor up to a higher value.
That would include doing whatever it takes to end the oligarchy's efforts to divert all capital to their useless hoards of wealth.
The "minimum" wage should be that wage below which one can not sustain life and limb. Now ask yourself if you can sustain yourself on $7.50 per hour for a 40 hour week. Then we can talk about "minimum wage".
Thomas Sowell and Peter Schiff have destroyed the "minimum wage is good" argument.
Time to learn.
Thomas Sowell and Peter Schiff have destroyed the "minimum wage is good" argument.

"There is no free market for labor in the USA.

Get the f#ck outtahere.
McDonalds continues to do big business because it is a heck of a cheap place to fill up on food. Food prices are pretty high and climbing, it is a fact that taking the wife and two kids to McDonalds and choosing from the cheaper items can result in a feed family at a reasonable price. It is know that the poorer classes eat at McDonalds in very high numbers.
The son-in-law worked at a McDonalds after High School before joing the army and heading for Iraq. He told me that the food is not particularly well handeled by the workers. Like that sauce they put on burgers sits out at room temperature for a long time. Very bad idea! The beef patty is a god awful mixture of beef products ground up and laced with chemicals that give a well tested beef like taste to the chopped beef byproducts that form the patty.
He will not eat at a McDonalds after having experienced working there. Apparently war is dangerous, but eating at McDonalds is still something even a combat veteran prefers to avoid if possible.
But like I said, poorer people can fill the kids up for a cheap price there. That these jobs are so highly sought after in today's economy is a sign that all the government manipulation of economic statistics can not hide or cover up. Think about for a moment. 1 million people trying to land burger flipper jobs!
This ain't like graduating high school, going in the army for four years, coming home and landing a factory job at middle class wages with health care and 4 weeks vacation and a defined benefit pension plan. Now it is work at McDonalds, get so feed up that 4 years of wartime army commitment is far preferable.
If the wars end, then our kids will not even have that option to gain a living wage at.
Really? Last time I was at Mcdonalds (months ago) it was $8 or so. How many sandwiches can you make for $8 if you go to a supermarket? 15 or so? So I'm going to go to Mcdonalds under threat of being attacked by a pack of blacks so I can buy shitty, overpriced food?
Naw, Mcdonalds got it's last $8 bucks from me. There was a time Mcdonalds was a pretty nice spot to go, not anymore.
Yes.
I took myself and two kids to Wendy's last month and it was $19.75 for three meals, nothing fancy.
The local cafe will fill my coffee for free, bring the food to my table, have twice as much food that is twice as good, and I'm happy to tip the nice young waitress 20% ($4).
Screw the fast food chains - one big rip off.
I don;t remember that time. I went to a McDonald's in Savannah,Ga in 1976 full of red necks and I got scared. So I never went back
I always avoid every fast food restaurant....and especially now with margin squeeze ruling all food retailers . Every corner that can be cut will be cut. Bad can get worse.
McDonalds is expensive poison and always has been. People need to get educated about food and need to get off their butts and prepare their own food.
Exiting USDJPY, too asceered to hold long.
Purrfect.
No purring allowed! Hehe
A true reflection of things to come. When you turn into a service based society this is the final result. When people are poorly trained and lack a quality education then this is the only options available to them. You take it because you need to eat and you need food on the table when your unemployment expires.
I believe that society has hit a turning point where we need to advance as a society and the only way to do this is to create products the world needs. Unfortunately there are not that many who can do this. In this period of re-tooling a society we need to make sure that people are trained in the right areas to be contributing members of society. When you let things go as long as we have and pretend that wealth created when in essence it was not then this is the end result. When the financial clowns could no longer pull rabits out of a hat or find suckers then you have an epiphany that "hey what have we really done for the past twenty or thirty years?" With the erosion of life style these jobs will create little to no REAL wealth in the society at all exacerbating an already growing problem in the creation of real wealth.
"Government, what is it but a tradition, though a recent one, endeavoring to transmit itself unimpaired to posterity, but each instance losing its integrity; it has not the vitality and force of a single living man. Law never made man a whit more just; and by means of their respect for it, even the well disposed are daily made agents of injustice"
David Thoreau
This is the economic equivalent of having your mouth sewed to your anus
Good observation!
The Hamburglar stole ar jobs bitchez!
I have a friend that applied at Mc Douche,
The rigmarol (just to get your foot in the door)was astonishing,
The application process was tragic, two people must interview you before you can be hired
to flip burgers and clean up,
If you are on welfare or foodstamps or you just got out of the joint,
you will be given special preferences as a new hire,
Mc Douche is AWASH in FEDERAL CASH. Their are a multitude of programs
to :ASSIST NEW HIRES' AS IN Mc Doche gets fed bucks for hiring .big time.
THE FEDS ARE PAYING A PART OF THE WAGE!
The Hamburglar Bernankes pals are everywhere.
Enjoy your Soylent green, comrades.
Wow, those lucky 62000 new part time employees at McDonalds must feel like they have just won the lottery. Now they can afford to pay their mortgage or rent, put gas in their car and still have money left over for entertainment-OR NOT!
Mortgage, that is an interesting word, it means
Death Grip, when reduced to it's origin,
Ancient planning bitchez?
http://www.stewardsofhisglory.tv/mortgagemania.html
No, the "Death Grip" is the always ascending property taxes in proportion to the ever decreasing property values.
A mortgage can be paid off but property taxes are recurring no matter the underlying asset value..!
Do I sound sour ?
We are all sour now, Capone rules Chicago.
we are tears in our grandfathers eyes,
The dishonesy of those we have elected is beyond a normel humans ability to comprehend.
The governmet we have elected to represent our better path have abandoned us, for a shiney new Cadillac and a beach house in Spain.
Wherefore might anyone think that progress is possible without the failed and bankrupt failing,
The monster must die,so the new monster can be borne.
What a foul excuse for humanity are these money and power hungry, Fonzie hair having dickweeds doing, running the market.
What a bunch of shitweeds.
Microsoft earnings up. Great, Gates is a huge "O" kisser. Must show support for the team. Bill always loved "It's a Small World" ride at the 1965 World's Fair.
Remember the commentary - "we're turning into a nation of burger flippers", that turns out to be an exaggeration - we've turned into a nation of wannabe burger flippers. Pathetic and sad.

Well I guess a net 22k Gain at Mickey D's, will offset the 40k Panasonic is letting go.
These folks that applied not only did they want a job but also to have access to free food. Nearly every 280th citizen of this country applied for ultimately lowest pay job. Not bad Ben not bad!!!!!
At this point I offer Dave Chapelle and WacArnolds.

Great- 63,000 people who won't get my order right. 938,000 people who wanted to be in the position not to correctly take my order.
Mcdonalds and stores like Walmart are the future economic base of America. As I've stated a while ago: pretty soon, you'll be living in a 'walmart' type ecosystem; schools, businesses, education, housing, entertainment, and more—all contained and managed by walmart type businesses. You'll be born at walmart hospitals; educated in wal-schools, work at 'em, live in their housing, you'll only learn and live in a way that's acceptable to the business.
And that isn't any kind of culture or identity to be proud of.
Take a note from the nihilists and just toss this crap away; we've fucked up big time, so just reset it and build something that's more resilient to unfettered greed and the pursuit of profit, and build something actually values proper ethics and morality: because even though our abstractions of "self" and "identity" are relative, we need some kind of proper ethical base to exist upon.
With
Little Pink Houses
For you and me
Mcdonalds and stores like Walmart are the future economic base of America.
Ah, No. Walmart is completely based on a nearly zero shipping costs framework ... ie "Global Economy" .
Very soon(notice YOUR gas pump bill) the economics for the Global Economy (ie 1000 miles away for everything you buy, even your lettuce) will be a memory.
Walmart has to sell a LOT of shit PER DAY or they are toast.
Notice the CEO's message today on ZH. They are nearly Toast already. You will see mass Walmart store closings.
And there will be no Mom and Pop stores to replace them for a while(Walmart put them all out of business on the way up).
On the way down, there will be a vacuum for a good while.
PEAK OIL bitches.
Globalism is SOOOOO last century.
I hear you brother
I won't eat there again. My 15 yr old has AML leukemia after being treated for osteo-sarcoma. We got rid of most all cleaning products, plastics, etc. But who knows the answers to cancer, to the economy? We're in uncharted waters, boyz.
Which reminds me that the US gov't makes you treat your child with chemotherapy or else you go to jail. Then they kill your kid with the chemo. Alternatives are suppressed. So they reserve the right to take your child's life, essentially, just like with abortion. It's gov't-think, public school, federal prison, Walmart/McDs brainwashing. This country is no longer free. We've become a legalistic entity.
Precisely.
Best to you and your family.
Welcome to the Mcovery wealth effect Mother Fuckers.

The McDonad's campaign was a bit disingenuous. The typical McDonald's would hire 4-5 people a month anyway. Turnover is 100% or better annually in most stores, and a store employs 50-60 or more part time people. So they would need to hire that many people simply to maintain normal levels. Seems to be mostly for publicity, which McDonald's does very well.
Good insights. I knew this was BS, and now it is clear why.
This really is just too sad.
This is what America has become.
People begging for minimum wage jobs.
What happened America?
Why is it so fucked up?
Well it did not get like this all of the sudden. A carefully followed plan, not just here in the US, but everywhere. Welcome to Orwell's world.
The jooz happened to America, that's what!
wake up
Capitalism happened to Babylon and through stories like these we seeing that system at its outer limit.
Time to hit the reset button and start again with something different.

Then I can believe.

"This is what the US economy has been reduced to: McDonalds reports that as part of its employment event to hire 50,000 minimum wage, part-time (mostly) workers, subsequently raised to 62,000"

scamming the system for a few bucks does not conform with burgeois ethics. Scamming it for billions of dollars is "ravissante"? huh?

Ok soho and banksterupyourass i am heading over to the most recent durden post. Let us truce long enough to get rid of the top o.oo5 percent plutocracy that raped all of us, then we can fight it out later.
Final solutions are the only things that work and a complete break up of their wealth and their stranglehold on our banking system and government.
Fair enough. You can always come up here to the White Mountains for food and ammo when TSHTF.
I have plenty of both thanks, but you never know, likewise.
is that you, Jeremiah?
I have seen the future. Get up, put on your McDonalds uniform, take the bus to work (at McDondalds), work, eat lunch at McDonalds, go home, taking McDonalds dinner to the family. Get up and do it again. A self-contained economic system. Whew, it's gonna be okay.
Reminds me of the Alex Cox classic "Repo Man", where all of the boxes are labelled, "Food," "Beer", etc. A silly movie, but more honest than most.
I actually bought me some of that "Basic Beer" back in the '80s.
It varied in flavor and texture, but was suitable for everyday use.
let's face it the world is a shit hole. So what's there to loose?
"Last week, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) announced that it was going to hold nations accountable for their economic decisions and publish quarterly yardsticks to measure their success in adopting “appropriate” policies. Who decides what’s appropriate? The European central bankers who run the IMF. The United States will have to meekly comply. The next step? Sanctions against nations that beg to differ with the IMF — our new global Czar."

We knew this, but Dick Morris puts some political flesh (facade) on the economic infrastructure bones that has already been put in place by the European central bankers.
Our central bankers and planners are purposely destroying the current system to roll us up into the new system which will be run by unelected, unaccountable, bureaucrats. Our Fed is destroying the current US monetary system on schedule so there will be no going back, at least, in their minds.
Obama's only significant piece of legislation as Senator was a yearly tax on Americans of 2.5% of GDP, about $250 billion per year at the time, to be paid to the IMF through the UN. You never heard of it because it didn't go anywhere -- but it was called the "Global Poverty Act".
No doubt Obama is totally on board to sell out his own country and is already running to be the first Imperial Czar of the NWO with his piece of legislation to show his good intentions to the NWO. Perhaps that's why he always sounds like a haughty finger pointer sent from the UN instead of an advocate for the interests of the American people. It also might explain why he felt he had to campaign in Europe during the 2008 primaries and why he has a Turrette-like need to diss America and Western allies for the Islamacists and former Soviets.
He's was/is running for president of the world, just like he was always running for president before he was even elected senator. As president he's already signed EOs allowing foreign troops on American soil and for Interpol to operate against American citizens without regard to our constitutional protections. He's stepwise delivering us to the wolves.
Why so socialist, Barack?
Socialist, fascist AND anti-constitutionalist...(translation: perfect Globalist) as proven by his role as Chairman of the UN Security Council...if not King of the World...then certainly Bankster-Whore-Cop-Thug-of-the-World

Samsara- I grew up in an ethnic, 1st generation immigrant family in New York, and we owned a chain of grocery stores. We used to go to Hunt's Point every week to PU fresh produce, and specialty items from the open market. It was amazing. All the trends in the last 30 years have been to destroy this array. I remember how there were 50 X more actual varieties of items. Our store was small, but we could pack so much into it, and it was a world, like that of Frederico Felini--in Amarcord-magical-beautiful Let the pendulum swing--with Godspeed.
They killed Fulton Fish Market.
Can you believe that shit?
That's as American as, Would you like an apple pie with that?

The ACT Asset class summary shows a startling time period top/bottom pattern, and we are now at the channel top and the correct time. Combine that with 6 planets lining up, a nuclear disaster, and you have --- what else ----bull run!!!! Yeah!
We will see. The ES chart shows that even though the high was broke, it took a heck of a run just to get back up to the 50% channel line.
Tomorrow morning might be great time to buy some lottery puts.

You're still making variations of the NT bet today... High risk gambling on securities that have already made huge moves, never planning for the party to end. Parties always end. Bankers and insiders are selling into the high prices. To succeed one needs to do what they do -- buying when it's uncomfortable. You do the opposite and keep losing.
