Member Of Greek Parliament Assaulted By Angry Mob For Flip-Flopping On Austerity Vote

When two weeks ago we wrote about a (short-lived) mutiny within Pasok, we noted the name of one Aleksos Athanasiadis, who had decided (briefly) to vote with his conscience and against his ruling party (and proxy for European banking interests) against the austerity measures. Another mutineer MP we cited, was Giorgos Lianis, who had declared his intention to leave politics in order to be able to safely "walk the streets" and not vote for the austerity. He stuck to his word. As was discovered yesterday, Athanasiadis subsequently recanted and backtracked on his promise to vote with the people. Alas, he should have listened to his buddy Lianis. As Reuters reports, Athanasiadis was attacked shortly following the austerity vote which, among other things, passed with his blessing. Ironically, he was walking the street. This time he got away. But something tells us Greeks never forget. And the one thing they hate more than being a slave to the central banking cartel, is being a slave to the central banking cartel and a traitor.

Greek protesters hurled projectiles at a ruling party lawmaker outside parliament on Wednesday after he backtracked and voted in favour of austerity measures.

A group of around 20 demonstrators threw bottles and a chair at PASOK deputy Alexandros Athanasiadis as he was escorted by five policemen after leaving the parliament building following a vote which approved the unpopular austerity law.

TV images showed him holding his ear but police sources said he was not injured in the attack.

Indicatively, back in America, this guy would become a career politician for life courtesy of an idiot electorate.

The younger generation will be too busy fighting wars around the empire to get worked up about federal debt. Afterall, military pay and benefits, pensions, health care and vets benefits for life all come from the Federal budget.

Every decade people claim the smart hip younger generation will no longer stand for the selling out of the economy and people. What a friggen scream of a laugh that is! Give an Ipod , send to college to screw, dink and do drugs. That is where their minds are at. Does anyone think they spend time debating the budget, offshoring of jobs, peak oil, deficit spending and things like that? Keep 'em busy at war or in college, they are no smarter or more commited to change than any generation before them. They are simply younger versions of sheep about to be made into mutton stew by the Powers That Be.

What a bunch of maniacs, lead by the cartel of the IMF and EU/ECB, Greece is doomed completely as his the whole EZ. Hilarious they just sent oil bid (again) now lets see China act all bonkers on liquidity and inflation issues, and, a wave of industrial disputes through the WHOLE of Europe (French and Germans love that high oil price).

Oh and of couse Obama and the US debt issue...

I'm looking for a market play on all the coming austerity. I'm thinking tear gas companies and makers of high pressure hoses, made for hosing the population down. Go ahead and gas em and hose em. With the contagion coming - Spain, Italy, Portugal, Ireland and eventually the US. This could be huge! With all this money printing this could go on foreever, need for constant restocking.

Anyone with the tickers?

Here's where due diligence comes and bites you in the behind:

Greece has been the #4 global arms importer for 3 years running now [ask the French / Germans about those deals, esp naval tech, then check batons for Spain (you'll note Greece are still using sticks!) and tear gas rounds (Made in AMERICA)].

So, you're a little behind the times, mon ami. Or rather, get a fucking clue. Its all priced in, and all the deals got done 5+ years ago.

I guess this is the day democracy died in the country which founded it. A sad, sad day. Funny thing is, we all know that when you are in debt, the last thing you need is more debt. It's an outrage. I hope they riot till they tear down the 'parliament'.
