Middlerunning: December 26 (Stories You Probably Aren't Supposed to Read)

Marla Singer's picture

  • Son of Nigerian banker apparently tries to blow up Delta's EHAM -> KDTW.  (419 BLAM?) [reuters]
  • Supposed Delta bomber apparently has al Qaeda ties.  (Explains why he was going to Detroit) [reuters]
  • ...and has been known by U.S. officials as a terrorist associate for two years.  (Explains why he was going to Detroit) [AP]
  • As they hit 5%, and when they think no one is listening, Freddie whispers that 30-year rates could climb to 6% in 2010. (Rahm: "No big thing.  Just sayin' is all.") [reuters]
  • Vice President of Finance for Koss apparently embezzled $20 million.  (Multi-million dollar clothes and jewelery shopping spree may explain WI retail numbers) [reuters]
  • Obama tells Americans to count their blessings.  (Actually, we saw that movie already, back when it was called Jimmy Carter) [marketwatch
  • Whole Foods Chairman/CEO to become Whole Foods CEO.  (Impartiality partially restored?) [ap/nyt]
  • Berkshire employee count 8.6% lighter since last year.  (Read: "Buffett downgrades United States") [bloomberg]

The Delta story has been manufactured from Point A to Z in order to get a more compliant sheeple to pass more laws of control and confiscation.  You don't fuck up a mission like that by accident.  You specifically fuck up a simple recipe of "mix liquid with powder to go BOOM" so that when you go to the airport you are now subject to mandatory strip-searching.

That's the secret plan here: to gather as many amateur nude pics as possible so Hank Paulson can be the top contributor on his favorite porn site.

After this, the only time I'll ever get into an airplane is to specifically nose-dive it into a government edifice brimming with beauracrats and so-called "elected" officials.

I am Chumbawamba.

Hey Chumba, by now your name and particulars have been fed into every laptop, desktop, RFID device, blackberry, and supermarket scanner that collectively make up the global information conspiracy, otherwise known as "The Beast."

These guys aren't amateurs using brute dictionary attacks. They are trying to exploit security bugs that they get IBM and Intel and people to "accidently" submit to the repositories.

actually, I'm kind of wondering about this story myself Marla... earlier in the day there is a similar story about firecrackers going off on a plane, but then it's replaced with a terrorist bombing attempt? Or are the stories separate? just too questionable if you ask me, Obama & the US administration are looking for anything to put in the "win" column, even if the victory is in name alone.

I would tend to agree. More over, the USA, meaning the CIA/NSA/DOD/US OIL Corps, and all the other factions, kill around 3,000 people worldwide per month, to keep the US machine alive. Is that a good thing, I would say NO. Does that cause others to hate us, a big YES. Does that cause others to do the above, like trying to blow up a plane, YES!. But more importantly, does it put fear into the sheeple, absolutely! That's just what the corporations, and the military wants. Remember folks, the military is the government. The military controls it all. Not the Financial sector of this country, it's all about the military!

Here we see the oligarchy's intent of employing the benighted ideology of Al-Qaeda to organize the Arab and Islamic worlds for their own destruction. As we will see, neocolonial and neo-imperial powers have always feared secular Arab nationalism of the Nasser type, and have been eager to foment fundamentalist alternatives in the hope of perpetuating backwardness and isolation. The big danger for the US has always been the Arab oil producers would reach their own economic development accords with western Europe, Japan, and the larger third world nations, such as Brazil. Al Qaeda fanaticism makes precisely these types of understandings preventing the forms of cooperation which would do the most to rival the US. The US is the biggest backer of Al Qaeda, in just the same way that the Bank of England, Royal Dutch Shell, the city of London and Wall Street where the biggest boosters of Hitler; if you know that you may face an adversary , the reasoning goes, then try to make sure that the adversary will have a raving, incompetent , fanatical leader who will be structurally incapable of making successful alliances with your other foes..

You'll love this.  The new idea of "security" is to turn it into a game.  Air traveleers will now have to stay on their toes and be fully alert in order to successfully run the gauntlet of random and "unpredictable" security procedures.  It's like Blue's Clues for adults.  If you make it through, your reward is that you get to board your plane...after a full cavity search.

The government was vague about the steps it was taking, saying that it wanted the security experience to be “unpredictable” and that passengers would not find the same measures at every airport — a prospect that may upset airlines and travelers alike.

An important component of brainwashing is keeping the captive victim uncertain of who they can trust, and what is a correct response. This is very easily done without the least resort to physical violence; the violence is aimed entirely against the proper functioning of the human mind and will. Eventually you break down their normal selective/discriminatory mechanisms so you can replace these with predefined "correct" responses of your own devising. After which the victims act in predictable ways because they have been forced to think in predictable ways. After which they are entirely yours, to do with as you please.

I sense the entire nation is being pre-processed for some purpose, but I can't quite decide what it is.

My instinctive (and predictable) answer is "American-made Fascism" but that seems too pat. Too obvious. Though I suppose it is the failure of the intellectual class that we too early rule out the merely obvious. Perhaps I should re-read Machiavelli.

TSA Moves to Deploy New Screening Technology
December 15, 2009

TSA says it is moving aggressively to deploy new advanced technology (AT) airport security systems jointly produced by Smiths Detection and Rapiscan; TSA is also kicking off the procurement process for next-generation explosive detection system machines.

The U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said it is moving ahead steadily with procuring and deploying next-generation airport security technology to screen both checked and carry-on baggage, spurred by $1 billion that was allocated to the agency for aviation security in the $787 billion stimulus passed by the government.

I’ve always wondered why those fricken Al-Qaida bombers are so much bent on bombing planes? They must hate those flying things. If they bombed airports they would do much more damage to flying and they would not have to go thru cavity checks (unless they like them). Now those terrorist are equipped with some shitty nail polish or something like that hanging on to their tools and supposedly trying to ignite them with matches or mixing some explosive ingredients in the safety of their flys. It’s funny! They must be stupid, aren’t they?

Full Body Scans not only provide an image of the body but more importantly an unique isometric record of that individual. There has been much controversy surrounding this technology that has inhibited its deploymen, that was until yesterday. Given the "escalation" from shoes to underwear full body scans are now the "only" option unless you want TSA personnel grabbing your crotch. The benefit of full body scan is that it will soon be able to process people far more rapidly than the current detectors. In time FBS technology and economies will advance such that it can be deployed at virtually any point of entry to for example the subway, a museum, a department store etc. and when combined with an ever larger isometric database it will enable the authorities to keep us all very very safe.

Make no mistake that yesterday's events are, in terms of monitoring the population far more significant than 9/11.

I mean, who would wait until the plane is about to land before attempting to "blow it up" ?  Hmm, maybe someone who knew it wasnt going to work, and " the plan" was just to create fear and panic.....and presto, new controls. But the poor Nigerian sap didnt know this....just following instructions from the CIA ( ooops, mean Al Queda ) Not that hard to manipulate this entire sequence without any of the "players" being aware they were just puppets.

Bad timing on the airlines call?  Maybe not, just think of all that washroom water they wont now have to haul into the skies .....hmmm, but then again, maybe the cleaning and sanitizing bills will soar. Premium rates for "clean" seats??

Iran can shut down vital oil route: US Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI)

Fri, 04 Dec 2009 As word spreads of an upcoming Israeli attack on Tehran, the US Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) confirms that Iran can easily seal off the Strait of Hormuz in the event of war. According to a September assessment, if the United States or Israel decide to bomb Tehran's nuclear sites, Iran's naval modernization and maritime capabilities have reached a point where it can shut down the Strait of Hormuz, through which nearly 40 percent of the world's oil supplies pass.

Comparison vs. assignment.

"US = Israel". Here you assign the value of Israel to US, which has already been done years ago.

"Israel = US". Here you assign the value of US to Israel, which IMO is just bad math.

I think what you want is a comparison with a boolean outcome which is written ( US == Israel ). True?

"But several airlines released detailed information about the restrictions, saying that passengers on international flights coming to the United States will apparently have to remain in their seats for the last hour of a flight without any personal items on their laps. It was not clear how often the rule would affect domestic flights."

"In effect, the restrictions mean that passengers on flights of 90 minutes or less would most likely not be able to leave their seats at all, since airlines do not allow passengers to walk around the cabin while a plane is climbing to its cruising altitude."

Phew! I'm glad they're on it.

On a serious note...the government would actually prefer every passenger have a cavity search before they abandon these morally corrupt bullshit hoops. This is void of all intellect and common sense. Billions of dollars spent, civil rights destroyed, businesses in terminals reduced to selling water and bubble gum. And what's the result? GG, you better get out more. Take yourself a trip through Pakistan, Kashmir, southern Thailand (Jama'ah Islamiyah), Mindinao (abu Sayyaf), and Indonesia. Forget Somalia; they'd skin you alive. The trip (I have done it; I also speak many of the local languages) will open your eyes and probably make you feel a little foolish for writing what you wrote here about al Qaeda. I guarantee you have not been to these places and done any investigation, but instead live your conspiracies from the comfort of your own American home. Easy that way.

So stay holed up in the US, sheltered and ignorant, and continue to grasp whatever conspiracy that strikes your fancy. Go ahead and believe that the only bad people on the face of the Earth are US politicians, bankers, and people related to the Rothschilds. All of those folks in the ME and SAsia and SEAsia are just the salt of the Earth, peaceful as the tropical day is long.

There are two kinds of idiots in the US: those who believe the government is trying to help, and those who believe the government is the source of all things bad. There is a middle ground.

So stay holed up in the US, sheltered and ignorant, and continue to grasp whatever conspiracy that strikes your fancy. I told my manager that meant some kids threw a firecracker into the yard and they now call them explosive devices to justify the millions they spend on equipment and training. I was right, it was an unexploded firecracker, not even an M80. The media reported it as a bomb scare. The government, LE and the media are a joke.
