A Modest Proposal
The artist said that the more complicated an idea, the more worthless. So here is a very simple bizarro world thought experiment:
What would happen if...
- Everyone in America maxed out their credit cards (on average about 4) to pay as much of US debt as possible (link)...
- Everyone refused to pay their credit card bill when invoiced.
Net result: America pays off the debts incurred to rescue the banks?

Just make sure to use TBTF credit cards.
At first glance you would say circle-jerk! But you know the CC payments have been sliced and diced into tranches and sold off as fixed income investments by the TBTF. And b/c the TBTF know you won't be able to pay the debt, they will take the other bet in the OTC. However, b/c there are more than one TBTF, each will have the others toxic crap on their balance sheets and all will suffer when the bill comes due. Taxpayer bailouts to cover the leveraged Wall St. bets means net result...you get free shit, TBTF get bailed out plus bonuses plus mergers and acquisitions, and (finally) your kids are debt slaves.
I Fester.
More Like:
1. Everyone in America maxed out their credit cards (on average about 4) to buy as much PHYSICAL gold and silver as they can...
2. Everyone refused to pay their credit card bill when invoiced.
That would certainly solve the problem, and cut through the bullshit, wouldn't it?
Kind of hard to confiscate something that is widely owned and is the only true asset a person owns; after the government takes away the real estate, bank accounts, 401K's, i.e anything that is digital and immovable.
This is also the reason I am confident the "dam will hold" and the dollar will survive: the federal reserve already controls it, and its too risky to lose that control as population awareness grows on a global scale.
I:
1. max out my CC to buy Au/Ag.
2. Au/Ag rise.
3 Wait 55 days (interest free)
4. Sell Au/Ag
5. Make the payment on my CC
6. Repeat.
EXCELLENT cartoon about " The American Dream "! Full of references to banksters, the FED, fractional reserve banking, gold, etc....

+ infinity.
Showed it to my teens...they loved it! If anyone can make it go viral, it's teens.

Glad you enjoyed it ! :)

That's what you get when you believe you can win a war against a TACTIC.
That's what you get when you believe the official story of 9/11 told by the Federal Government.
You get to be dead, maimed, or mentally disturbed.
You get what you deserve for your ignorance and unquestioning loyalty to your ZOG.
ZOG agents gon' drink yo blood and gitcho mama. Oogah Boogah!
The only one disturbed here is you.
Junked for kneeling before ZOG.
frankly andy i'm disturbed-
"i am the currency"
"if i am the currency, i am the treasurer"
"therefore, i am the currency"
...any questions?
The ZOG part was poison at the bottom of the well. Totally unecessary and ultimately irrelevant to the subject's priorities.
The video link is excellent tho. Everyone should at least view that and see the true face of war on the ground and decide where the Repubic and the American Constitution is best defended.
I put this same comment on that video and they removed it. I wonder why? He was my favorite Superman character.
You weren't kidding - Excellent cartoon about "The America Dream"! Kind of painful to watch. Cartoon form makes it even more heinous to absorb. Kill the squids.
Couldn't get through the video. Good effort, but they got way too many facts wrong.
"Couldn't get through the video. Good effort, but they got way too many facts wrong."
Ok I admit it, I didn't watch the whole thing.
That's a shame because you're missing the end where they face off against the giant squid bank army led by general paulson lol
ok, I'll watch it.
As a non-participant in the racking up of credit, other than to use 0 interest 13 month loans to me to buy 12% Closed end funds, (with deafening applause to Dire Straits) the first part of the video had me getting angry at the idiots who borrowed that money to buy stuff. That places a huge amount of righteous blame on the borrower.
The absence of names however was even more disturbing from an educational viewpoint. If one truly attempts to inform and instruct another about the War Between the States, how would it be possible to do so by omitting the names of Robert E. Lee, Abraham Lincoln, US Grant? Or WWII without naming Oppenheimer, Hitler, Churchill, or Roosevelt?
Really, this is genius.
If you take debt and propagate it through enough parties (sometimes repeatedly), then eventually it becomes part of the fabric of life and magically disappears!
The Soviet Communists believed that once The State becomes the Total State then the State will dissolve and form the ultimate socialist paradise. It's a Keynesian idea; a bit like suicide where one can live forever in bliss if only they kill themselves first.
Keynesianism Loves the Total State

All Americans simply refuse to file their 2010 Income Tax.
I don't have one ... unless VISA counts as a TBTF? (How exactly does this relationship work anyway?)
VISA is your library card.
Any entity that changed into a bank-holding company to reap the benefits of all the tax-payer bailouts is FAIR FUCKING GAME.
I remember getting heat awhile back when I mentioned the use of credit cards to help aid in the purchasing of AU/AG. $35k with gold @ $680 and Silver @ $16. Best fucking purchase I've made with the help of CC's to date with no paper trail.
Of course if you haven't de-programmed yourselves from the b.s. world of credit & credit scores, then it's another story. If you can't pay for it in cash, you probably shouldn't be looking at it anyway.
Interesting how even to this day I'm still getting credit card offers in the mail LMFAO.
Couldn't care less what my credit score is, but not having a credit card isn't practical for anyone who travels, buys exotic little trinkets from various dicey online entities, or has furniture custom made. It's also an automatic 1% discount, and though I try to not beat up small retailers on price, >>90% are happy to kick in for me and my local bank vis-a-vis this conglomeration called VISA. In the last 15 years I've carried a balance a total of two months, both times were, well ... technical difficulties on my end.
And CD, I'm amazed how many branches my library has opened around the globe, though Japan does still give me guff from time to time.
debit card if you must. So the furniture maker doesn't take cash? That's a fucking first.
The boys and girls at Visa must get a kick out of seeing your statement for the Liberace custom piano bench with the built in vibrator but maybe you save those types of purchases for your Amex "Black."
The furniture maker went Casper, and unlike the people who paid cash, I received my $2500 back.
To bad about the "to small to care about" banks. http://www.xtranormal.com/watch/8242405/

I have a bad story with these card. And do not give it to the wife...I hide it from her these days. LOL.
The guy from FFT talked about this in his economic newsletter at http://www.forecastfortomorrow.com that guy has called many big events before they have happend, including the stock market crash in 2008 and the current financial collapse of the US. (currently happening) I found him from a friend last year, and he has some important work.
His oil calls are insane, and I have been making good money with them. He is well worth a look, if you want to keep two steps ahead of the sheeple out there.
I am worried about my financial future. Is anyone else nervous out there?
Anyone else have a sudden deja-vu? It's like I've read this same exact thing before. Naw, can't be.
Anyone else have a sudden deja-vu? It's like I've read this same exact thing before. Naw, can't be.
The worst kind.
Yeah. I bet you can help me lose weight with ACAI Berry too. Gotta link for big dick pills? Go spam Yahoo.
The banksters would just get another bail out.
Wish it could work, but it would not.
The TBTF's, would (once you failed to pay after a few months),turn you over to a Collection Agency, and get your ass served, and you pay or lose your ass.
Anything paid for.
Yeah...whatever. If you did not need credit, it would work fine. So if your house is paid for, and your cash flow covers food, fuel, and taxes...you are in the freakin' clear.
So yeah...it could work...unless you were a debt saturated zombie...which, in that case, is your freakin' problem for living beyond your means. Hello penchant for human flesh.
they would still get you even if you have an unsecured loan, they will force you to secure it on your paid for house
....which is exactly why you keep assets directly out of your name.
Spendthrift trusts are nice... (if properly set up)...
Sweet!
Why the individual would loose. And the Bankster Wins again. How it Works.
1. You Max out your card. Pay off national debt. And Default.
2. The Bank, (holder of your card), gets bailed out 100% of default, (printing press).
3. Your dragged into court. Told to forfeit all your assets to cover bill.
4. This is the best part. Who gets the assets ??? The Bankster. They get paid twice.
If you max out your card and have no visible income, you file for bankruptsy.
Start fresh using cash only.
That's my point. I do not know what bankruptsy is like. But, I can't imagine it is fun for those who do.
The Banksters steal all you have. Except for a little cash. Please..........
In reality, why would you max out any credit card. No Bank EVER gets a dime from me on a balance. That is being credit stupid. I'll take the points only. Anybody who owes on a credit card is just not doing the right thing for their own good.
This article makes a mockery of those who do not get the reality of being credit stupid. Actually, it is "ZH's Joke of the Day."
There are some of us who can pay the whole bill each month and and there are some who can not. (lost job, medical reasons, foreclosure etc.)
actually you dont if you know the law and unslave yourself
http://one-heaven.org/ecclesiastical_deed_poll/edp_introduction.htm

Yes, rocker... I think we just did this...
...
Credit card debt is recourse debt...better to put it on your line of credit, the non-recourse option???
I'll use the dog's cards then...
On second thought, if we all use our mileage Visa's - think of the years of free travel!!!
Who wants to go first?
There are two ways for you to make a contribution to reduce the debt:
Attn Dept G
Bureau of the Public Debt
P. O. Box 2188
Parkersburg, WV 26106-2188
http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/resources/faq/faq_publicdebt.htm#DebtFinance
My contribution to cut the debt would be to stop using welfare, foodstamps, SS, medicaid, medicare, the military...unfortunately I've never received any of these but I'm willing to give up all claims to them if they'll stop charging me for them...unfunded liability solved.
I'm also offering to repel any invaders if America is attacked (now we can get rid of 3/4 of the military). We still need the other 1/4 in the psyops so we have plenty of "friends" to talk to on ZH!!!
.....bone, sadly an excellent rant on a totally inoperable plan.
I would give up all i've contributed to SS and medicare if they allow me to opt out now. I don't need their safety net--i've got PMs!
@ kink. That's a thought, but they will never buy in. Keep the PM's until needed only.
I would sign up for hambone's plan
AHHH! The good old days! When your blue heeler cow dog could get a card on "paw print".
"For everything else...There's PuppyCharge"
"I'll use the dog's cards then..."
Or...the kids cards! The 'me' generation have been saved.
Gotta get me a dog.
What difference does it make if the USeless Government raises your taxes to pay the banksters, or the courts attach your wages to pay the banksters?
The second one costs less...
teeeheee.
recourse/no-course may vary by state. I can't say for other states, but lines of credit (and re-fi's) are recourse in California. The only thing which is no-recourse is the original purchase of the house.
Which is why many people in foreclosure here are in trouble. They took the re-fi when they could.
Lovely and simple. And I think of all that stuff I could consume.
Damn, TD, you'll go to jail just for asking the questions.....hahahaha....<sarc no hope>
Isn't this happening by default?
Not yet...there are many that aren't pulling their weight.
We still have many frugal Americans and illegals who have yet to get their 4 credit cards let alone max them out.
Sorta reminds me of Brewsters Millions when he had to spend $40 million or so to get the rest of the inheritance. We just have to spend more and they'll give us more...at least that's how it worked out in the movie.
BTW - What's with the name "Cursive"?
@hambone
Thanks for asking. It's the internet handle I settled on years ago before ZH. I thought about several and almost went with "Coefficient of Fear." I thought that was pretty badass, but I also thought it could be perceived as fatuous. I like cursive writing and it is out of favor, sort of old school. It had an atavistic component - hearkening to the past, a better past. You only have to look at a Coca-Cola can to appreciate cursive writing. It's a relic from better times when people valued efficiency and beauty, two seemingly contradictory goals.
Cursive,
I like it - efficiency and beauty indeed. I'm glad to know my digital brethren...I think only you and your avatars actually know my mind. The rest of the world only knows the "pretend all is well" me.
@hambone
Thanks again. It was really nice to read the comments below, too. I had a friend in high school who went by "soupbone" and now I know a "hambone!". The last three years have been bat shit crazy and I am glad to say that ZH and my ZH brethern have been the a source of relief from the daily crap. We may not have much, but at least we have each other.
~ Cursive
"Money isn't everything and soon it may be nothing."
Very nice cursive. Could not agree more. Cursive, or even writing in general is going the way of the dodo.
Even nicer, is writing cursive with a well made fountain pen. The flow cannot be matched by the slip and slide of the ball point, how much ever the Japanese try to make it feel like that.
Best of all the HB pencil.

Sadly, penmanship is dead. Even the word has a certain long ago grace to it.
"Sadly, penmanship is dead. Even the word has a certain long ago grace to it."
How about the paper it's written on. I'm sorry, but I want a book. When I'm not on the computer, of course. I think my son will probably be the last generation to appreciate the feel of paper.

There might be an ideological conflict with those that believe taxation is immoral.
The government does not need to tax the people, they can print their own money. They just want to make sure we know who's the boss and divide us.
"The government does not need to tax the people, they can print their own money."
Ya know...I've been thinkin the same thing.
That's what the stupid political game for stupids is all about. Can anyone imagine how the Bernanke laughs at the back and forth at Congress hearings. What a Joke.
very cute. and symptomatic of the frivolity and blind heedlessness bordering on outright madness with which some persons are tripping along the road littered with the wreckage of a society gutted by financial criminals. ha ha he he. things are definitely funny in America. ho ho.
It's a nice thought but way before half way through the process the banks would get wise to the scheme and start doing things like lowering credit limits or they'd get Congress to allow a reverse class action suit (I just made that up) and/or get authority to institute mass wage garnishments or something like that.
Since the five or six biggest banks cover a lot of credit card holders they banks wouldn't even have to go outside their own computer system to make your life unpleasant....brokerage accounts, automatic bill pay, checking accounts...ouch.
Maybe yours, but my money is nowhere near the big banks... my debt is, unfortunately for them, so our relationship is only so long as I maintain it.
Don't be too sure of that. You might be Very surprised to find just Where you little home town bank, or even credit union, has Its funds deposited, for a night or a quarter, in seach of yield. The level of interconnection is severe.
The proposition was "Everyone in America"

But I don't use CCs, can someone provide me their's?
Is that link a joke website like buydehydratedwater.com except without the hilarious FAQs?
"Net result: America pays off the debts incurred to rescue the banks?"
So bizarre, it becomes elegant the more you look at it ;-)
I Love You Bro (Tyler)...
You are so embarrassing us in FL, we leave fags in the swamp....
Shut up, pussy. You are the swamp.
Hey snowie!...did you get your free T-shirt at the pep rally last night? ;-)
fukking lol....
The little levitation illusion he does is getting a trifle old.
Throw gasoline on the fire with a phrase like "If they bring a knife, you bring a gun", then watch a few buildings burn down, then come floating into a room throwing rose petals on everyone singing we shall overcome...pure Alinsky.
This from a man who just appointed Bill Daley as his Chief of Staff, who only a day before was a chairman inside JP Morgan Chase that bilked billions from the taxpayers...pure fascism.
Fantastic.
I tend to avoid the rallies in AZ of any stripe...too many firearms and too few neurons.
Just pullin your chain ;-)
arent you on the west coast? and I am gay? really? are you sure? did you check in with Momma before answering? tell the truth...
You're supposed to buy gold with your CCs bitchez!
but my broker won't take a CC advance as payment!
sux donit?
Just ordered 100 silver eagles from APMEX on my Visa. I do it every month or two.
31.25lbs per box... thats some heavy shit... the first one to the car... ok, second... not so bad... but when you carry 5 or more to the car...
I should say the first time...
Let me just say, when you order a box... and you are thinking a lil cutsie box... thats not what you end up carrying... and putting those in a large gun safe... with stuff already in it, it doesnt fit... so then you have to un-box the whole box... I need a new safe...
anyone seen this safe yet... http://www.gunblast.com/Pendleton.htm now the old guy that does the video's, hes great.
disclousre... I dont know them, they dont pay me... it just looks like it makes sense...
fuckem - paypal it to yourself, then file a complaint that you didnt receive your merchandise...ftw!
Or better yet - buy a bunch of guns and sell them in the local classifieds (assuming it is legal where you are), like the military, dont fucking ask questions, just count the cash and laugh.
No probs. Take daily maximum cash advance, turn IT in to silver and gold outside of the country. Who cares about the extra interest if you're going to dine & dash anyway.
Also - less breadcrumbs to follow.
That was my second thought with CCs tap out
Brilliant!
Break a window. That will fix the system. Everyone gets work, everyone gets paid. Money for nothing, eh?
Isn't this why the BK laws got fucked with?
I like the idea but how would we get a critical mass and how do we establish the trust to take the plunge? Its such a trollish idea! Why didnt i think of it?
What if every Amerikan quit voting for the same dips that put us here?
Ok, CA had its chance, and voted the same lame legislature in. What are you prepared to do to keep your State paying for those CA morons?
IL morons?
What dufus Lib States will you support? NY? MA?
Ya, let's allow MA to pay for more Bwaney Fwank.....
I just wish bawney fwank had been caught with a 14 year old laotian kid in a bathroom stall in the 21st century. People were too forgiving in the eighties. Are any of you old enough to remember that episode? What a pedophile. Sue me bawney fwank.
Fwank ain't a rep of WA, to my knowledge....
California has had extensive Gerrymandering, which the Dems and Reps agreed to back in 2000 in order to preserve the status quo. This may change with the recent prop 20 and the redistricting next year. We shall see. But the current Gerrymandering is absolutely sick. Hope that helps.
In defense of the U.S. Treasury, a dark sense of humor is better than no sense of humor.
What?
Exactly. That's my point!
BTFD anyway.
Of course I'll BTFD, but I won't BTFD.
This idea has Nobel Prize written all over it.
And about as useful as the Blacke Scholes Model too!
Cussler, in 1997, proclaimed a 3 nation division in the US, some Russian read the book and made it famous afterwards, so, I fergot where I was going.....
Hispania, Chineea, and Liberalala? I dunno.
I like thought experiments because they never blow up in your face.
Having said that, me like, and I'm beginnning to think Tyler is Max Kieser.
The visual, just in case, of Max blowing in my face is not very attractive.
For my buds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfVJSLC3lO8
Gotta love Max, but I just think if you had him over you'd be saying:
"MAX -- please, use your INDOOR voice,"
a lot.
Or is Tyler the Kaiser Max?

Yah, I thought TD was going to suggest we start eating the bankers.

How about this: an across the board debt cancellation, followed by a gold standard for the dollar, both established by constitutional amendment so that Congress can't f*ck with it thereafter?

Y'all are selling EURUSD now, I hope. GS said the opposite, ya know what that means.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyC-Ho4V_hQ&NR=1
Interesting thought. It would be awesome to pay the debt off like that... writing off all the debt would cause the banks holding it to fail, though. I want banking reform, but total collapse would just be good for criminals exploiting the wreckage.
...as opposed to......!?! :D
Actually, I was starting to look at like a work of art.
It takes the whole left/right thingy out of it (your socialism caused the banks to hold toxic debt and then insure it the right would say...nuh uhhh, you wrote mortgages to anyone with a pulse and trapped them just for the fees, the left would say).
If debt money can be created from thin air and credit the same way...why not debt destruction? (the other side of the coin)...in the surreal world of the artiste or artist, if the thought is to stick the taxpayer with the debt to be paid in the currency of the realm...why not?
I'm thinking the performance/painting could be called the "Patriot Put" ;-)
Nobody could possibly fail as a result because all their debts would be canceled, too.
They might fail after that, but that's on them.
What they should do is offer people a chance to buy out of their lifetime obligation for the rest of their lives with an upfront payment. Of course the problem is that any long term agreement is worth no more than the counterparty's willingness or ability to honor it. They'd find a way to renege.
Be nice if every close had a free thread to handle Fx and AH trades. But I don't know what I'm asking, they would turn into chat threads, with second by second commentary, and extraneous BS you Sheeple can't handle. Hence me:
