Tyler Durden's picture

And while crude drops on a sudden plunge in oil demand following Japanese refinery shutdowns, supply issues may promptly be rearing their ugly head. Per preliminary Reuters reports at least 200 people protest in eastern Saudi Arabia. "More than 200 protesters took to the streets on Friday in the Saudi Arabian city of Hofuf, two activists told Reuters, responding to a call by online social networks for protests in favour of political reform. Hofuf, a major urban centre in Saudi Arabia's oil rich Eastern Province close to the Ghawar oil field, has seen scattered protests by minority Shi'ites in the last two weeks." This is just the first report of what will likely be a massive protest wave across the region following news that Yemen, Kuwait And Bahrain will all be joining in today's day of rage.

Number is still small. Question is whether police will respond agresive and so enhance anger.

They are not European protesters and the US doesn't care about promoting "democracy" anymore in the region. So Hillary has given the green light to pop them off like Palestinian children near a fence line if needed.

If the "oil liberation front" isn't democratic, I don't know what is.

3/11/12  Uranus enters Aries offically, 7 years occupation, last seen 1928.

Meme Iamfurst's picture

enlighten yourself and take a minute to google it.  And, not superficially.

1928 to 1935 the last time Uranus entered Aries for an extended 7 year period.  Time of enlightenment, change, cleaning of house, self worth discovery, and financial and political unrest.  And those are the positive points.

Soon Mars and Venus also enter Aries, they affect and control communication and war.  Neither are in good aspects here, they will fight each other.  Communication failures will lead to serious conflicts...look at Wisconsin, look around the world.

Put the three together and what ya got?  These forces have been building for weeks and now the enter full stage.  Surprise, Surprise.

Think it is a joke?  Think I am some wombat, ignore at you peril.

Nato and or the US acts on Libya this weekend (when the markets are closed) or the rebels are on their own and the resentment for America and European Christian nations will be amplified as a result of their failure to act.

I seriously doubt 200 is anywhere close to critical mass.

what's the Saudi<>Egypt exchange rate on protestors?

Oh regional Indian's picture

Small sparks bring forests down. Agent provocateurs are everywhere. One man started, alone, in Tunisia.

200 is plenty.

Look at the screws, turning, tighter.

All unfolding, in time. JIT.

Interesting how geo-politics is taking over finance eh? It's the cross shaker... pun in-tended.

Thousands riot in india on a monthly basis for one political party or another.  Critical mass can only be ignited by one, 200, or thousands only when a significant portion of the populace has nothing left to lose.... only then, a slumbering beast will awaken.

Was that the Day of Rage?  I thought I was going to wake up to $5 gasoline and $7 Starbuckee Lattes.  I told y'all this was a non-event.

Like I stated earlier in the week, if there were any real threat, the Royals would have shipped family to safe havens. This was over before it began.

This is like the million woman march in Egypt when 56 women showed up.  A non-event.

Just more hysterical headlines with no substance.

I guess the promise of a bullet subdues one's rage rather effectively.

If I were going to protest in a locked down nation like S.A.- I certainly would not tell the Gubment when I was planning on doing so....

That right there is how I knew this was all a bunch of shit.

In Egypt, Tunisa and Algeria, the protests started out of necessity...because people were sick of being hungry and tired of being fucked with by a corrupt government.

A "day of rage" may come to Saudi Arabia...but I doubt it will be telegraphed weeks in advance......Maybe next time....

For now though, all of you who were and are waiting for this shithole world to ignite...will probably have to wait just a little longer...

It still could spark up, but my guess is that those with TV's, are watching what is happening in Japan.

Saudi Arabia probably just got a temporary repreive.

But worldwide the fascists with their imperialism still have control, and that means, it will happen.
