More Corruption? | Bondi's Deputy Attorney General Joe Jacquot Gets Promoted, Becomes Senior Vice President at Lender Processing Services

4closureFraud's picture

Really?

June and Theresa get fired from the AG's office around the same time this guy gets a vp position at LPS?

Either this is a hell of a coincidence or something much more sinister...

If it's the latter, this is so blatant and so in your face it is ridiculous.

What the hell is it gonna take for the people to get angry enough to stand up and stop this madness?

Is
there any agency in this nation that is not absolutely corrupt and
complicit not to look into what is going on here in Floriduh?

We
have been documenting all this for over TWO years now and NOTHING has
been done to stop this slow moving train wreck of fraudclosures.

Arrhhh!

From the Herald Tribune...

Lawyers take jobs with firms under investigation

By Todd Ruger

Two
lawyers at the Florida Attorney General's Office left their government
posts this year to take jobs at firms still under investigation by the
agency.

Both firms are central players in a high profile,
yearlong investigation into how Florida attorneys and paperwork
processing companies generated documents that banks need to foreclose.

Joe
Jacquot, a former deputy attorney general, left his position in May to
become a senior vice president at Lender Processing Services, one of
several companies the state has accused of manufacturing bogus legal
documents so banks could seize homes from their owners.

Erin
Cullaro, a former assistant attorney general, was hired by Shapiro and
Fishman, another foreclosure law firm under investigation. She said she
stopped working there after a week.

Cullaro had previously been
fired by the attorney general's office in April for moonlighting as a
document preparer with one of the state's so-called "foreclosure mills."

You can check out Todd's report in full here...

And just in case you don't remember Erin Cullaro, you can click the link to learn all about her here...

I have always felt that Gov staff in regulatory offices should be required to execute an agreement that prohibits them from accepting positions in the very firms they regulate (say, for a period of 2-4 years).

Yeah,  A compete agreement.  I like it.

Disgusting. Thanks for posting this story. I have always felt that Gov staff in regulatory offices should be required to execute an agreement that prohibits them from accepting positions in the very firms they regulate (say, for a period of 2-4 years). It would only serve to make them more effective. Another example - the SEC examiners/enforcement folks who accept positions in brokerage firms, etc.

This is just an example of blatant and "in your face" thumbing their nose at the People.

Heck, the former AG of MI had his campaign run by the head of a foreclosure mill (Trott & Trott) - and in looking at the public data on funds received - an amazing amount of $ came from bankers, etc. Further "in your face" - Trott was asked for his input on the State of MI's foreclosure rules. WTF?!!!!

It would seem the vast majority of these people are in bed with each other - yet we're the ones getting f'd.

Joe Jacquot

Joe Jackpot...I can see him standing in front of a Wheel of Fortune, which stopped on the "Dream Job/Dream Salary" spot.  Unfortunately, only one space said "Indictment/Investigation/Trial/Prison".

You know, a small amount of kerosene and a match would make Schapiro and Fishman's "business" of foreclosure fraud a wee tad more difficult to implement. Just sayin.

Florida here too.   Property here is dead; a few people in my area have tried to catch the falling knife, but I have not seen any upward movement in property prices whatsoever.  (I am in Jacksonville and South Florida with a rental in Cocoa; nothing has gone up anywhere.  The rental has lost basically all of its value; I owned several of them and managed to sell them all except this one.   At least I have a decent tenant.

I agree with another person's description of Rick Scott's vision: cut services to the max, lower taxes, attract out of state money and keep illegals employed.  Florida will become a gerat place to live if you're rich, and shitty if you're not.  What a lot of people don't know is that except for the coastal areas, this state is ALREADY very similar to Mississippi or Alabama; poor, rural and hot as hell.

Re: Casey Anthony verdict; only in Florida.  Even those morons in Cali sent Scott Peterson away with circumstantial evidence.   If you get a chance to watch juror interviews...all i can say is wow.   Tim Miller, the leader of a child-search company that searched for Caylee for months while Casey sat home, is suing her to recoup costs.   His comments, "well, I hope we don't get the same jury"!   If the 2000 election debacle didn't make it clear, Florida is a banana republic.  And, worst of all, it is THE key battleground in Presidential elections.

While I'm grousing about blatant corruption - not only in Florida - but everywhere, I'm going to grouse some more.

Remember Sunny Sheu? The Unbelievable Story Of The Queens Man Who Fought Foreclosure And Wound Up Dead

The author of the original investigative piece on the death of Sunny Sheu in The Black News will be live on The Power Hour Radio Show Monday, July 18 (7 - 10 CST)

Does anyone care? I doubt it. My own neighbor (in foreclosure) can provide psychological profiles on every Casey Anthony juror yet hasn't manage to read any of his foreclosure documents.

He's going to lose his home to MERS and Wells Fargo (counsel is Marshal Watson...lol) without lifting a finger.

For those who might be interested in listening to the Power Hour Radio Show details can be found at the link below.

The Sunny Sheu story w/ Will Galison on The Power Hour Monday 7/18...

It will be broadcast on many regional stations, short-wave, and live streamed. It will also be archived and re-broadcast later in the evening.

but, but, but (and i hope 4CF appreciates this) you reep what you sow... this seller and authority corruption/stink will leave them with a market of rack and ruin

the buy-side (consumers) will simply dry-up disturbed and disgusted at what is going on leaving the parasites holding a bag of vacant, in terminal decline, un-saleable and deteriotating properties

..you cannot 'rig' a market, consumers soon cotton on. It is a fallacy sellers and the State can 'control' a market, it will decline in equal or greater measure to their bloated unproductive egos. Their rip-off actions are simply hastening the property markets collapse both in terms of value and a market citizens avoid like the plague

..ask painted-into-a-corner Benny Bernanke how his MBS's are doing or the NY Fed on their recent attempted toxic asset sale which failed? Where these idiots try to gain 'control' of a market they always forget the buy/consumer side of the equation. Buyers dry-up leaving these morons with nobody to offer value (make a bid to buy) leaving them holding a bag of worthlessness

..if this State/scum collusion continues Florida property will have no demand side volume and will be toast... and the parasites will be left holding it at far, far below their estimated values

Thanks for all your work on this subject. This stuff amazes me too. There is no more rule of law and no more ethics. These AGs along with their supposed targets make no more effort to hide it. Like the revolving doors of any regulatory agency and their industry. What makes them so secure? One of the best measures of the growth of our corruption is the number of folks put away in the savings and loan scandal and today. The fountain of confidence

Don't you get it?  FL is just trying to be business friendly.  Rick Scott, etal. are making it known that Florida is the - "Give us your tired of regulatory oversite, give us your fraud-based rich, give us your huddled masses of kleptocrats" - state.  Somebody's got to pay the illegals to trim the bushes and mow the grass - dammit!  Rick and his boys and girls are going to do whatever it takes to stem the emmigration out of FL - especially the dirty-rich ones.

I was watching some of the Casey Anthony Jurors on tv... all I can do is shake my head and realize that this state is too full of Dumb American Bastards - try visiting Wewahitchka on a Saturday night sometime - sit in on a Dixie County HS american history class.  I knew I was finally a local when the sheriff told me where to go to get good poached alligator meat and reasonably priced hides - 'makes good boots'

Good ol' Wewa getting bashed?  Try living in Port St Joe during the papermill heydays.  When the people across the tracks were actually "across the tracks" (aka 'the wrong side of the tracks') and lived in what was called the 'quarters'.

Where I literally watched the vote for Sheriff come down to one vote that was recounted over a hundred times, with the one vote swinging back and forth between the two candidates.  (Early 80's)

Where I was called in when the deputy blind-sided a navy seal with a flashlight, then called me in as the medic...then locked me in the tank with a really pissed-off seal.  (The seal was pretty cool, though, after I introduced myself, and started beating the door to get him stitches.)

If you were in Gulf County, you might be talking about Ken Murphy days.

And the next county over, Franklin...where the sheriff was using oystermen to ferry drugs from the boats to shore where a couple deputies would pick it up.  Fun times.

The saddest thing is so few people understand that  forclosure-gate  will affect all homeowners, house prices and the whole industry for years [decades] to come.   The collusion and corruption, especially in Florida, is unbelievable.

This makes the AG's office look very suspect!

when you consider the US electoral system is nothing but a pigfest of every parasite in America lining up to 'sponsor' our public representatives (ie. the most openly blatantly in-your-face corrupt electoral system on Gods Earth) what makes you think anything and everything else could not also be of the same patently obvious corrupt standard?

and over half the electorate actually vote for these bought-and-paid-for puppets thinking they'll get a word in edge-ways and be represented! When the public is truly this dumb, for decade after decade, and the penny doesn't drop why not think you can get away with literally anything??

...clearly the record shows you can ...what does General Jim Sinclair call it, corruption "hiding in plain sight"
