Nancy Killefer Is Third Tax-Avoider in Obama Camp In Hot Water

What is it with Democrats? Geithner and Daschle are apparently not enough. There is breaking news of another person in the Obama camp who is in hot water due to tax issues.

Turns out this time it is Nancy Killefer, who failed for a year and a half to pay employment taxes on household help, has withdrawn her candidacy to be the first chief performance officer for the federal government, the White House said Tuesday.

When her selection was announced by Obama on Jan. 7, The Associated Press disclosed that in 2005 the District of Columbia government had filed a $946.69 tax lien on her home for failure to pay unemployment compensation tax on household help.

We expect to hear the Obama soundbite endorsing his unending support for all tax dodgers foreign and domestic any minute.

In the meantime, this just out from Politico: apparently Daschle was pushing for his backer Hindery, who "got him in the whole tax mess" to become Secretary of Commerce or U.S. Trade representative in the Obama administration... The Obama administration has not been in cabinet for even 2 weeks and it is already a full blown tragicomedy.
